Our family lives in The Grand, so made sense to go and try the restaurant. I am not sure we are going to return, but am willing to give them another try to sample different dishes and or try the breakfast. The spot was pretty filled with customers. We went on a Sunday for dinner. The good stuff - Had the Strawberry Limoncello and it was delish! The Bourbon Deviled Eggs, also very good, would order those again!! Our entrees fell short, which is a bummer. Started with Caesar Salad - just typical but OK, but the crouton toast came out burnt, so we ask for another which also came back out burnt, so we just left it on the plate. Shrimp Scampi - the pasta was overdone on both of us and the plate was just greasy.. The other party ordered the Grilled Salmon, which they said was just OK. It's the dead of Summer but we decided to eat outside because there's a mist-system and the fountain was nice to hear. That being said, it took more than five minutes for anyone to come over and bring some waters; it's hot and the place wasn't busy. However once our server came by we put our order in and received drinks expeditiously. We just ordered two cocktails and two salads and the total was over $60 before adding any tip. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth it? Probably not. Especially since I was told it was a very large salad (it's average). But remember, you're also paying for the "ambiance". They do have a Happy Hour menu for some more reasonably priced options. It's a 50/50 chance that I'd give it another shot, try something different. read more

My little family decided to visit Maple and Rye for our brunch today! The wait time was a bit long, but the restaurant is a solid 4 out of 5. The restrooms, waiting area, and dining areas are all clean and orderly, and waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. The food was unfortunately average tasting, and took quite a while to be served. They have high chairs and kids menus, and our children seemed to love their food. I like that there's a good view of the surrounding golf course. read more

We have been here a multitude of times for different events, to include birthdays or brunches, and we have been so happy with the service and food! We sat at the bar for brunch. It was great. Aaron behind the bar was pleasant, friendly and attentive. The food was good. We had an omelet and biscuits and gravy respectively. We did not have any drinks, but the staff looked very capable if you decide to come here for drinks. Tried this place on a whim and so glad I did. It's a nice classic restaurant. Classy, but relaxed. Very open and spacious. I love the open kitchen in the bar area. The dinning side (where we sat) overlooks the golf course and it's so pretty! Minimalist vibes give it an upscale feel. The food, like the vibe, is simple and elegant. The portions are smaller than I'm used from restaurants. I think they are maybe catering to the older clientele as my parents (in their 70s) said the portions were perfect. My friend and I had some breakfast mid morning. My friend had the All American breakfast. He had 2 medium eggs with sausage, hashbrowns, and toast. I went with 2 blueberry pancakes with blueberry compote, granola, and a side of over easy eggs. Both orders were to our liking. The service was friendly and catered to our needs. We're visiting Surprise, AZ, for the month and have experienced our fair share of chain restaurants, so finding Maple & Rye was refreshing. We've eaten here a few times (all have been pleasant experiences) and recently tried their breakfast and lunch menus. The Rueben was delicious -- loaded with meat and delish sauce and bread choice on point. My husband ordered the country fried steak & eggs and it was also really good (and for someone who this isn't their go-to dish, it surprised me!). As I was visiting in town, I wanted to take my mom somewhere for breakfast nearby and this was pretty close and was a recommendation from someone who also lives in the area. It's a cute little breakfast lunch place, which looks like it has a full bar as well. We sat out towards the back dining room area with view of the golf course and mountains, which was beautiful. The server was so friendly and helpful. He had a really unique name that we admired and he explained how he got it. We opted for the eggs Benedict as well as the Greek omelette. The prices are reasonable, but the portions definitely seem small to average overall we did enjoy the meal. We probably would return. I had lunch in the bar. The area was nice and clean. I ordered the Smash burger with French Fries. The bar tender was friendly but not very attentive. I didn't have any utensils or napkins when my order arrived after waiting almost 30 minutes. My fries were warm and limp. I asked for hot fries instead. She got them replaced quickly. My Smash Burger was overcooked and dry. It was advertised to come with caramelized onions. It had one piece of onion! I suppose the cook doesn't like onions If I go back again I will try the breakfast. read more

The restaurant is modern and beautiful, the service is great, and the brunch is phenomenal! It was a busy Sunday but the bar is open seating and we were able to sit down right away. I highly recommend the Tito's mango chili margarita. Move over Bloody Mary, you have nothing on this drink! So good!! This place has a nice view and had a casual ambiance. The food was ok. Nothing extraordinary. The price was affordable. It was the service that brought me to the point of frustration. This was lunch on a Monday, but considering it's in the middle of a retirement community I get why it was busy. However, I visited places that were much busier. Our waiter, who seemed nice enough at first, took our drink order and a considerable time later brought us our drinks and took our order. The food did take a long time to get to us...like a really long time, and I tried to conserve my drink. However, I ran out. We finally got our food and we have not seen the waiter since he brought us our first drink. We began to eat. Again, the food was OK but a drink would've made it all go down nicely. I didn't have one. So I kept expecting the waiter to come by and see if everything was OK. He did not. In fact, I saw him several times within the range of eyesight and he never came over. Finally, I asked the guy who had brought our food over,who's pretty close to us, if he could let her waiter know that we were all out of drinks. He was very nice and said he would do that. So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. I tried to catch the waiters eye. He avoided us. I waved at him at one point. He never came over. We're talking 15 minutes later at least. He was several tables away, and as he was walking, I literally raised my hands and waved it like I was hailing a taxi. He begrudgingly came over and didn't even let us speak but said "we're really busy today and we're all out of glasses so that's why I haven't gotten you anything to drink. Oh... I was thinking, We have glasses from the first drink, just use them again. So I kind of said well you can take our drink and just fill it up. He did it came back, plopped our drinks in front of us , said sorry about that and left. We didn't see him again for another probably 15-20 minutes when he asked if we wanted our checks. I left him a tip, but I usually tip better. There is just no excuse to that poor kind of a service. Frustrating. read more
