Another hidden gem. Early morning baseball games and I found this place open early and not busy yet. The place is intimate, some places to sit and catch up or maybe work if you need to. The cappuccino was cheap in comparison to what I usually see and it didn't disappoint. Great tasting coffee. The staff is friendly and knew how to make a coffee, but no coffee art applied. Went to meet a friend and got the iced mocha with coconut milk with a breakfast croissant. Iced mocha was creamy and sweet. The croissant was warm and good! Coffee bar with a drive thru. The drive thru line was extrememyp quick, especially since you order your drink at the window. I got the Iced Raspberry Mocha latte with oatmilk and it was really good. The coffee flavor wasn't very strong, so this would be a good drink for someone who doesn't like the strong coffee taste. read more

This is my second time at this location. And my coffee is super delicious I get the Vietnamese ice coffee. Service was quick and was able to get my coffees in bout 3 mins. I've never been inside but you can order inside or through drive thru. Only reason I give it four stars is due to not being able to put light ice in the coffee as it already has the ice within the drink due to it being premade. So if you order this yummy coffee be prepared to have a lot of ice. read more

Second visit here and both experiences were good! Happily surprised at the place & drinks because of the reviews. Staff are welcoming enough. They have a drive through which I didn't originally notice so they are busy servicing both still they were helpful in describing drinks. The drinks!! I had the pumpkin spice iced latte which was perfectly made. Boyfriend had the Asian style iced coffee the 2nd time & he loves this drink & wont stop talking about it. Today we had the coffee cake which was big enough to share with 3 people. So tasty and indulgent just a lil more crumbly outside. We love the decor. Will be back! read more

Previously Sunsational Coffee, Ground Shaker Coffee offers your usual coffee beverages, along with teas, smoothies, lemonade, and hot chocolate. They also offer breakfast sandwiches and a few baked goods. There's a good amount of seating inside, with a cowboy theme. Although I didn't use it during my visit, I do like the fact that there's a drive thru available. Service was good and my order was ready in no time. The service was terrible, the burrito was delivered frozen straight from the microwave, the coffee had a burnt after taste and the workers did not even care, also they had no idea about anything on the menu when we asked questions. The hot sauce on the table was old and tasted awful, compared to a non expired sauce, the expired sauce was literally brown and crusty. I also ordered a lemonade, straight from the Minute Maid carton and it was all ice and they literally charge $4.75 for that, unreal! This is by far the worst place to be in business. I love a good theme throughout a shop...and this place delivers. The cowboy decor starts from the building sign and continues through the shop and even into the bathroom (I give extra points for that!). There are many breakfast options, and I really liked that they had four different wraps for lunch. It's nice to have lighter options, and my turkey bacon ranch wrap was very good, along with my Arnold Palmer. My only complaint is that the owner or manager was sitting at the bar working on a laptop and talking loud on a phone call and then talking about other employees, who weren't there, with the employers who were working... it wasn't anything really rude but was unprofessional, in my opinion. read more

Shop closes at 2 on weekends, hours not correct on Apple Maps!! Wish surprise had better options for a stand alone coffee shop. This place is decent. Staff isn't super friendly and the ambiance is kind of mid. Whenever I get an oat milk latte here it taste like regular milk every single time. I would give it a 2 stars but for it not being a chain I have some appreciation there. read more

The service here used to be really friendly. Sad to see how far downhill things have gone. The person working the window was rude and acted like they were annoyed, but seemed to be very entertained and upbeat when they were chatting with their co-workers while I waited for my order. Really weird to experience the night and day switch between watching them be happy with their co workers and then annoyed in the small interactions they had to have with me. Don't get me wrong, I don't have expectations of service workers being over the top happy. Just don't act rude or pissed off. The coffee is mid. Not great consistency. I ordered two of the same drinks. One was mixed really well. The other barely mixed and with way less cream. When they handed them to me they shook the coffees to try to mix them more and it splashed in my car. read more

Definitely enjoyed my first large cup of Ground Shaker Americano coffee. I did love the taste and aroma of this cup. One wish, that it was able to be served in someother type of container as I could smell/taste the poor quality of the paper cup/plastic lid. I am truly a coffee snob and admit it freely. I wanted a great cu of coffee and did have that yet the whole experience was damaged a small bit by the paper container. I will try again and see if there are alternatives. read more

Went this morning for coffee with my kiddo. Fast friendly service, nice selection of coffee and non-coffee drinks as well as pastries and food. Prices were good. Iced and hot lattes came out quick and was very tasty. I enjoyed the different flavor of espresso as compared to the other chains in the area. Lots of locals and repeat customers spending some time in conversation with each other and enjoying their coffee as well. This is decently a "return to" spot! read more

It was a Saturday and my family and I decided to try an indie coffee shop. We found Ground Shaker and thought it seemed pretty cute. I will give the one star for the décor. The service on the other hand was atrocious. There were two people at the counter. The first person taking the orders was, apparently, not in the mood to be there. She was very rude and was seemed to hate her job. When trying to decided what to get she was short with all of us. We order our drinks and some food and waited for a while. We get most our food and I notice that the only person there is rude gal. She is busy chatting away with two people on the side that seemed to be workers and texting away on her phone. It was quite a while and we went up to the counter and asked about the last food item we ordered "oh I guess I forgot, let me work on it now". She brought it out after a few min without any words at all. For being a cute lil place it is disappointing the lack of service. I will not be back read more

As soon as you first walk in and see the stunning decor and how well this place was renovated you can't help but want to stay and hang out. Everyone is so kind with great customer service as well. They have an "Asian Style" coffee that is so addicting. Anytime I'm in surprise, I must stop in and get one. This place is always clean when I go in, and to top it off, they have Bath and Body Works soap in the restroom. A very nice touch! Makes it feel homey. Love this place! iced Asian style the drink was fine, but not as strong as i would have liked/expect out of an Asian-style coffee. (i think there were coffee grounds in my drink? but i also came like 30 mins before closing) the cafe has plenty of small and big tables with 2/4 walls being mostly windows so its very well lit. surprise lacks cute themed cafes, so this country themed spot is much needed! read more

I went this morning to have breakfast with my husband before he went to work. They got our coffee order wrong not once, not twice, but three times and proceeded to blame the fact that it wasn't written on the receipt that way. I don't write the receipt. I need sugar free for health reasons. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich. I ordered egg white but got regular egg. This is also for health reasons. I already had to go up to the counter so many times I just ate the sandwich. As I sat and ate my sandwich I watched local regulars come in and be treated well. All the workers were busy talking to the regulars than to pay attention to me a new customer. I'll go to Starbucks next time. read more

My drink was delicious however the service from the girl at the counter, I didn't get her name, was awful. The customer service was severely lacking on her end. I get it, sometimes work is the last place we want to be but, that does not mean making the coffee shop the last place a person wants to get their coffee. The host who greeted us didn't make eye contact with me at all, a person with a disability. Instead of speaking to me directly, he asked the person I was with if I needed a child's menu. As an adult, being talked about rather than talked to was rude and honestly pretty embarrassing. It would have been much more professional to provide standard menus for everyone or just ask me directly if I needed anything specific. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious: The bread and butter were warm and a great start. We had the bruschetta and a shrimp appetizer, both were hits. Our table ordered the cheeseburger and fries, the salmon, and two orders of the short ribs. Everyone loved their meal and had zero complaints about the food quality. The restaurant was packed and had a high-energy vibe, but the music was way too loud, it made it a bit hard to talk. The lighting was also a bit strange; it was very dark, and at several points, the lights would flicker or completely turn off and on again, which was a bit distracting. If you want to go on a Sunday evening like we did (6:00 PM), definitely plan ahead! We made our reservation a couple of days before, but by the time our day arrived, they were completely booked. I'd recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance to be safe. I would definitely come back for the food and the excellent waitstaff service, but I really hope management works with their hosting team on how to treat every guest with basic respect and direct communication.
