I'm always looking for local coffee places when I'm traveling. I was in town visiting family when I came across this location. I stopped in on a Wednesday mid morning. There were a few people inside enjoying coffee and breakfast. The two people at the ordering encounter were very helpful in making my decision easier. They have I think three sizes of ice beverages plus a 30 ounce which literally cracked me up, I opted for the ex-girlfriend iced, caramel vanilla iced latte, and the Vietnamese iced coffee.(Asian). I did not order any food, but I did see some people eating breakfast sandwiches in English muffins. Ironically, I recommend recommended this place to a friend of mine and she visited a few few days later and order the mega breakfast sandwich, which was exactly how you would describe that - mega! All of the coffees that I ordered this day were delicious. I think it's a tremendous value and I wanted to come back for a second visit but ran out of time. I'll definitely be back when I'm in town. I love that they have a drive-through, which is rare for a local coffee shop. Really cute western decor inside. Plenty of parking out front. read more

This is my second time at this location. And my coffee is super delicious I get the Vietnamese ice coffee. Service was quick and was able to get my coffees in bout 3 mins. I've never been inside but you can order inside or through drive thru. Only reason I give it four stars is due to not being able to put light ice in the coffee as it already has the ice within the drink due to it being premade. So if you order this yummy coffee be prepared to have a lot of ice. read more

Second visit here and both experiences were good! Happily surprised at the place & drinks because of the reviews. Staff are welcoming enough. They have a drive through which I didn't originally notice so they are busy servicing both still they were helpful in describing drinks. The drinks!! I had the pumpkin spice iced latte which was perfectly made. Boyfriend had the Asian style iced coffee the 2nd time & he loves this drink & wont stop talking about it. The service was terrible, the burrito was delivered frozen straight from the microwave, the coffee had a burnt after taste and the workers did not even care, also they had no idea about anything on the menu when we asked questions. The hot sauce on the table was old and tasted awful, compared to a non expired sauce, the expired sauce was literally brown and crusty. I also ordered a lemonade, straight from the Minute Maid carton and it was all ice and they literally charge $4.75 for that, unreal! This is by far the worst place to be in business. They also offer breakfast sandwiches and a few baked goods. There's a good amount of seating inside, with a cowboy theme. Although I didn't use it during my visit, I do like the fact that there's a drive thru available. Service was good and my order was ready in no time. I had an iced vanilla latte, which wasn't super sweet and had just the right amount of espresso added to it. The vanilla flavor came through well and wasn't overwhelming. read more

It's nice to have lighter options, and my turkey bacon ranch wrap was very good, along with my Arnold Palmer. My only complaint is that the owner or manager was sitting at the bar working on a laptop and talking loud on a phone call and then talking about other employees, who weren't there, with the employers who were working... it wasn't anything really rude but was unprofessional, in my opinion. read more

The service here used to be really friendly. Sad to see how far downhill things have gone. The person working the window was rude and acted like they were annoyed, but seemed to be very entertained and upbeat when they were chatting with their co-workers while I waited for my order. Really weird to experience the night and day switch between watching them be happy with their co workers and then annoyed in the small interactions they had to have with me. Don't get me wrong, I don't have expectations of service workers being over the top happy. Just don't act rude or pissed off. The coffee is mid. Not great consistency. I ordered two of the same drinks. One was mixed really well. The other barely mixed and with way less cream. Definitely enjoyed my first large cup of Ground Shaker Americano coffee. I did love the taste and aroma of this cup. One wish, that it was able to be served in someother type of container as I could smell/taste the poor quality of the paper cup/plastic lid. I am truly a coffee snob and admit it freely. Went this morning for coffee with my kiddo. Fast friendly service, nice selection of coffee and non-coffee drinks as well as pastries and food. Prices were good. Iced and hot lattes came out quick and was very tasty. I enjoyed the different flavor of espresso as compared to the other chains in the area. It was a Saturday and my family and I decided to try an indie coffee shop. We found Ground Shaker and thought it seemed pretty cute. I will give the one star for the décor. The service on the other hand was atrocious. There were two people at the counter. The first person taking the orders was, apparently, not in the mood to be there. She was very rude and was seemed to hate her job. When trying to decided what to get she was short with all of us. We order our drinks and some food and waited for a while. We get most our food and I notice that the only person there is rude gal. She is busy chatting away with two people on the side that seemed to be workers and texting away on her phone. It was quite a while and we went up to the counter and asked about the last food item we ordered "oh I guess I forgot, let me work on it now". As soon as you first walk in and see the stunning decor and how well this place was renovated you can't help but want to stay and hang out. Everyone is so kind with great customer service as well. They have an "Asian Style" coffee that is so addicting. Anytime I'm in surprise, I must stop in and get one. They got our coffee order wrong not once, not twice, but three times and proceeded to blame the fact that it wasn't written on the receipt that way. I don't write the receipt. I need sugar free for health reasons. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich. I ordered egg white but got regular egg. This is also for health reasons. I already had to go up to the counter so many times I just ate the sandwich. As I sat and ate my sandwich I watched local regulars come in and be treated well. My drink was delicious however the service from the girl at the counter, I didn't get her name, was awful. The customer service was severely lacking on her end. I get it, sometimes work is the last place we want to be but, that does not mean making the coffee shop the last place a person wants to get their coffee. I used to frequent when this was Sunsational, so I was surprised to see the new sign "Ground Shaker" as I drove up a few months ago. All I can say is they do not disappoint! I've been here several times (already filled up my stamp card and then some) and they have really exceeded my expectations. The food and drink options are all the same as before, but the service is much faster (and some would say friendlier) than the previous establishment. And they have completely redone the interior! I'm not a huge fan of cowboy motif in general, but at Ground Shaker it's very nicely done. They've even added a bar (with outlets) so you can come and hang- which I plan to do sometime. Of course, the drive thru is my preferred mode of coffee pick-up (so convenient and never super long waits). So glad we have an awesome, local coffee shop to support. This is a locally owned very Texas/Cowboy-themed coffee bar with all of the trimmings. There are large windows and plenty of seating to enjoy a coffee and conversation with a friend. They have a lot of options for snacks (no gluten-free options). I had an americano breve style with praline syrup and the suggestion of my helpful barista Kyle. Everyone there was very friendly and super busy. It met all my expectations so I recommend this as a try for anyone else. read more
