So many choices!! Walked in to be greeted by a sweet young lady that walked us through the ordering process. It was our first time in Sumo Snow so we welcomed her guidance. At first glance, the establishment is well lit and spotlessly clean. The menu is up on the east wall and extensive. At first, we were the only customers inside but after we sat down to wait for our order, the place quickly filled up. After we got our food & beverages, we realized why this is a happening spot! Fo food we ordered the Hazelnut Chocolate cake & Pistachio Ricotta cake. The drinks; Hokkaido Milk Tea, Taro Milk Tea & a Coconut Smoothie. All were delish except my favorite was not the Pistachio Cake. Just not my taste but my husband enjoyed it so basically it's a preference thing. They have so many options like most boba places. My drink was Vietnamese coffee. It was the best I had in the area. I thought it was odd that the girl at the counter was sitting down on her phone. I've been eyeing this cute dessert shop and finally made it in for my first ever Korean Corn Dog! I have no regrets- my Potato Beef Dog was amazinggggg! These dogs are savory and sweet with a crisp shell of delicious cornmeal batter studded with French fry chunks and sprinkled with sugar. The flavor of the beef dog is very good too. This was such a good treat. I also got an Oat Dragonfruit Matcha that was so creamy and sweet with the matcha earthy and smooth. My kids wanted the Chipotle Beef Dog with hot sauce, the Horchata Frappe, and the Flaming Dragon Slushee. I took my food to go but there is a picture window bar seating area and tables and chairs inside and outside the shop. There are also restrooms. I loved their collection of cute Japanese make-at-home dessert boxes and Pocky sticks available for purchase as well. I'm so happy we're nearby. There are several more teas I need to try here. They even top off matcha cheesecake with whip cream and fresh strawberries. Not only can you purchase matcha joys here. They sell macaroons too. They are above average macaroons that are five dollars a box. They can be put in the fridge too, and snacked on all week. In this area of Surprise and surrounding it's nothing but a sea of suburbs and sunshine. There are no casinos maybe a park to walk the dog. With that being said the delivery services are used frequently here because of the fast paced process of the place. Unless your playing golf, which they deliver to the club houses if needed; it's the best way to boba in the area. This shop is truly busy busy. It's run perfectly professionally with great pride. It's my first time coming here after hearing about them and OMG I'm definitely coming again. The atmosphere was very cheerful and calm. I felt so happy and enjoyed my food so much. The fruit ice cream I had was the peach one and it was so good I ordered the other ones before I left. So soft yet with a crunch of the outer shell so so delicious. I had been wanting to try sumo snow for a while since I knew they had the Korean dogs. We took a 35 minute drive to try them out and unfortunately left without one. The interior is clean and modern and the employees were really friendly. I decided on a Taro milk tea and the hubs got a summer melon slushy. The kids wanted to try the matcha cake and crepe cake so we got one of each. The total was $20 and change. On par with other boba drink concept places. The wait wasn't long and we were on our way home. They do have a rewards program which is cool as well for frequent customers. Now, the drinks were big and tasted good. Nothing out of this world but they were tasty. Now the matcha cake roll I had never had before but didn't care for. The kids and I didn't like the strong matcha flavor. It was just overpowering even with the condensed milk. The crepe cake didn't taste fresh and didn't wow us either. I wish we had the chance to try the Korean dogs but they were out and said they should be getting more the next day. Overall, the shop was clean, employees were friendly and helpful but don't think I will drive out of my way again to try Sumo as we just we're not impressed. read more

Always on the hunt for good boba. I was a few miles from here so I stopped by and had the place to myself for about a minute. I ordered the Okinawa milk tea with black boba and the topping was free due to their rewards program, score. The drink comes in a large cup and it gets messy sticking my steel straw through the plastic but I got it. My drink tasted like Fruit Loops which was interesting, but I did like it. The employees were nice and answered all my questions and it got pretty busy after I ordered. I love to see boba places all across town and am glad Surprise has a good one of their own. read more
