There's more boba spots on the west side of town than I thought! I initially was going to go to another boba place but this one happened to be next door to a spot I was already going to. I was intrigued by their coffee series, and Vietnamese coffee is always enticing to me. I ordered the creme brûlée coffee and it comes in a 16oz cup ($6.50) and added black boba ($1). Plus tip and this ends up being a pricey drink considering the size, which takes it down a star. Bobaistas were quick and efficient with their service. The drink itself is very good. Strong Vietnamese coffee flavor and the creme brûlée foam is a nice, sweet accompaniment to the bitter coffee. Boba is chewy and cooked well. Lots of caffeine so be aware. They don't heat seal their drinks which is not ideal, since I've spilled drinks before. This seems like a solid spot for drinks and they have quite a few food options as well. I visited Rapha Tea for the first time last week. This location is very pretty and there is ample seating inside. They even have wifi so it may be a good spot to hunker down to get some work or studying done. I was a bit underwhelmed by the service. I asked one team member a question about the menu, moments later, the phone rang. He answered the phone and walked away from the register. Another team member came up and ended up answering my questions and taking my order. I ordered the peach milk tea with light ice and boba. They use the type of cups that seal on top, which is my favorite because it's easier to shake up the drink without worrying about it spilling everywhere. I was so excited to try the Banana Cream Pudding Matcha, and was disappointed. I paid exactly $9.19 including an add on of black boba. It's as if I paid $10 for a 16oz cup of just milk. It's not sweet at all, I don't taste the matcha or banana, and the only flavor I taste is a bit of sweetness from the boba. I come to Rapha often as someone who was a big fan of it when I first had it at the Chandler location. The inside is nice and I've come with friends to do homework and just to sit and talk. My usual go-to is the Jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly at 50% sugar. I think I can lower it to 25% sugar now since the one I got today was a little sweeter (most likely due to the lychee jelly). Service is usually great and the employees are nice during checkout interactions. I have run into a couple of visits where drinks have taken longer than usual and customer service isn't completely there, but a majority of my visits are great. read more

The flavor was more milky flavor than tea (3.5 stars). I ordered the Aloha Sunshine Black Tea (lychee-peach-mango) with black boba and aloe vera at 75% sweetness. Was really excited to try this new place since they freshly brew their tea and have fresh Taro. The fresh Taro part is really rare and most places use powder. Opted for the Rising Phoenix, and on initial taste, the oolong was very strong, which I enjoyed. However, the oolong was steeped for too long because the bitterness in the aftertaste was also really strong. The sea salt cream is light and not overpowering and complemented the oolong nicely. Gave four out of five stars for the bitterness of the oolong and more so for the size of the cup versus the cost. The service is friendly and attentive, though weekends can get quite busy, and there might be a bit of a wait. To avoid the crowd, I recommend visiting before 4:30 pm on weekdays. I came here wanting boba and saw that the menu was huge. I was disappointed however to see that most of the drink use non dairy creamer. I want the dairy! The kind staff member said that the only drink with dairy was the Thai tea which I love. So I said "yes I'll take it". The drinks came pretty quick. It was yummy but pretty sweet. I've worked in boba before, I went in today and ordered 5 drinks one had 90% ice and 10% drink after I asked for less ice. I ordered one without any ice as well and from where I worked, when someone orders no ice you are supposed to fill the drink at least 75% though ours had less than half of the drink inside of it I would not recommend this place for their matcha I guess thats why they have a deal on it. also you should ask for less ice because the workers like to fill the cups with more ice than their asshole can fit. Went to try this place out when my other matcha spot closed. Im pretty generous with my tips and gave over 35% just because. Ended up getting my drink to not even have the ability to shove a damn straw in there. It was 90% ice with a whole brick, had to wait for it to melt to even get it in there. Went here on a Monday evening with some friends. There were only a couple people waiting on their orders and a group of three guys who seated at a table passing time. There was a total of three people behind the counter making drinks. Wifey and I ordered the Ube Green Milk Tea with Lychee jelly and Butterfly Wintermelon Tea (no add ons). The Ube was good but probably should have skipped on the lychee jelly or opted for boba instead. The Butterfly Wintermelon Tea was pretty good. The best part for me was the non-dairy creamer (for all of you who lack toes)! Lol We were thinking about ordering some popcorn chicken but from the way we were waiting to even be greeted and take our order, we figured it would take even longer to receive a food order, so we decided on no food. The interior design is nice and clean so far. They have a nice decorative wall to take a pic in front of for all your socials. There is comfortable seating while waiting for your order. Overall: 4 stars for now. Customer service could have been better. No greeting once we entered and nobody to say "We'll be right with you" or anything of that sorts. They did apologize for the wait once the drinks were ready but plenty of room for improvement on customer service. There was also a drink labeled incorrectly on their overhead display menu - the "Ube Milk Tea" was actually called something else but we ordered it anyway. I'm not a big boba fan. The texture of the tapioca balls weird me out usually. I got a black tea strawberry refresher which was sweet enough but not over the top. Really refreshing in 117 degree weather. My husband got the Purple Signature with the classic boba. I tried a sip including the boba and honesty, I was not mad about the taste of the boba itself. We were in the mood for some boba and came across place which I'm so glad we did. We got an order of the chicken and fries box as well as a halo-halo and peach milk tea. The chicken was really good it has a good flavor and even though it's fried it has an airyness about it and it comes with a dipping sauce of your choice( we chose the spicy mayo). The portion was generous too we shared it between 2 people and it was more than enough. The drinks were fire too the peach milk tea had a strong peach flavor which I loved.
