The perk of having to take "professional roadtrips" for work means I can use Yelp to find "professional coffee" while out in the field. I can probably count on one hand how many times I've ever been to Peoria. Stopping at 808 Social may count as #6. I love the look and feel of the inside - very welcoming aloha vibes! It wasn't horribly busy when I stopped by mid-morning. The owners were super kind to chat a bit -- they get busy in the early AM/around opening for their spam musubi (a Hawaiian snack). I noticed an empty warming case - limited amounts are available daily to buy, lots of people order ahead of time which causes a line out the door! Since they had sold out for the day I got a muffin with some sweet butter in addition to my Maui Strong drink. It was a little too sweet for me but nonetheless - delicious. If I had time I would've stayed around to sit and telework. Definitely a nice stop on my way back to town (super close off of Grand Ave). read more

This place was great, very Hawaiian! They offered numerous drinks, including some specials for the month. There were also food options and lots of snacks for purchase. There is some seating inside and merchandise for purchase too! I decided to try the Leprechaun Pee drink which was lemonade based with edible glitter! I ordered it less sweet and it was delicious! I also ordered an ube cookie and the walking Kalua nachos! For the nachos, you pick the bag of chips you want and I choose the sweet Maui onion. I also choose all the toppings that they offered for free. The cookie as great, not super sugary, so that was nice. The nachos were also good. I kind of wished there had been more toppings and meat, but they were still good! I would come back at some point to try some of their other coffee drinks! read more

My wife and I love trying different coffee shops so tried 808. The workers were friendly and helpful and the coffee was good. The biggest issue is the lack of seating. Only three tables inside and that was it. I would come for the coffee but not really a place to grab a drink and sit or work. They had to remake my wife's Vanilla Latte as they didn't add syrup the first time but the second was fine. read more

This is probably our fourth time here. We always try to try something new. Today we just had drinks. I had the pumpkin nut iced latte minus the nuts because of an allergy. They were very understanding this drink is on their fall menu. Bf had the mocha with macadamia nut and caramel. I forgot the name of the drink, but he ordered it hot and he loved it. They never miss on their drinks! A lot of their drinks have nuts or coconut, which I'm both allergic to, but they are always so helpful to help me find a drink or mix something up for me. In the past, we had the Ube cookies. They were OK just a little too crunchy for me. We also had the spam musubi perfect little snack made just right! As a Hawaiian native I have searched far and wide for delicious coffee that incorporates Hawaiian flavors in Arizona, and this spot hits the mark every time. Highlights were definitely the Mac syrup along with the house made musubis. Such a wonderful time at 808 social in Peoria. The drinks were all so tasty our entire group raved about each and every one. My personal favorite was the Lola latte. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating of our group and set up tables and chairs for us in the back room. Definitely can feel the island vibes here! Stopped here for a little post workout drink today! They have some $3 drinks which is cool since so many places way overcharge now. They had a twilight theme menu of natural energy drinks. Usually not my jam but they had edible glitter so I had to try. I got a blue one that had vanilla and melon spritzer in it. It was so sweet I could only have a little. But super refreshing on a hot day. And beautiful to look at. People working here were really nice and the other drinks were stunning too. It's time I update my review. I've been coming here regularly for what seems like forever. Moana is FABULOUS and so are all the other baristas. The owners Charis and Matt are amazing as well! Charis knows I love her spam fried rice and musubi and their new avocado toast. The iced Snickerdoodle latte (snicker whip) is my favorite with the holiday Browne sugar baby as a close runner up. If you haven't been here RUN! Seriously come out even if it's a drive because I promise it's worth it. Their customer service is super friendly, drinks are fabulous as are the foods. This is a super cute little spot in the West Valley! The coffee was excellent, and I also had an English muffin with Lilikoi butter (delicious) and an ube brownie (also excellent). Easily the best coffee shop in the valley in my opinion. We'll drive about 15 minutes most weekends because there is no better way to kick start your morning then with a large 808 espresso and some good conversation. The baristas are incredibly nice and helpful. You never feel rushed and they really do seem to the enjoy what they are doing. Snickerdoodle and the 808 espresso are my faves, but everything I've ever ordered from here is gold. read more

My friend had been going on and on and oooooonnnnnn about this place so I demanded to be taken here. I ordered a Moana Latte, a Spam musubi, and a ube crinkle cookie. I ended up finishing off the musubi in the shop and took my coffee and untouched ube crinkle cookie to work. The latte gave me the caffeine needed to finish my work shift and the ube crinkle made for a nice midday treat! The ube flavor itself is very delicate and tasted more of sugar but I'm not made about it. The vibrant purple color was gorgeous. Pro-tip: Get macadamia milk in your coffee. In order for us to have 808 social we have to drive a good hour....but it's worth it!! We love the local, island vibes of this place (feels like home). The drinks are amazing. My kids love that they can get soda or lemonade with a wide variety of flavors, and the Moana latte is amazing. The Moana latte is a toffee nut, coconut and sugar latte, so do yourself a favor and get it iced with oatmilk...you're welcome. The only thing that would make it better...having blended drinks! You COULD go to one of those other large coffee corporations whose drinks taste like burned coffee beans OR... you could do something awesome today and visit 808 SOCIAL and support an amazzzzzzzzzing local business! I grew up in Volcano outside of Hilo on the Big Island so when I saw 808 SOCIAL advertise in the Peoria group page on Facebook, I knew I had to make it a point to visit this shop! My wife and I visited their fresh new location today and it was an awesome day to start our Saturday morning! They're located on Peoria Ave right off Grand Ave in the heart of Peoria. Super convenient location in a little a strip mall with plenty of ample parking. Their entryway and foyer is incredibly clean as is the entire shop. There's a few tables and chairs if you want to stay and chat with them for a bit or need a quiet place to get some work done. We were greeted immediately upon entering and everyone there is so incredibly friendly - just as they are when you're from the 'aina. I ordered the moke mocha and my wife went with the chai. The moke mocha is this chocolate, coconut, coffee concoction which was incredibly delicious and the perfect 'pick-me-up'! I would not hesitate at all to order this again. My wife said her chai was among the best she's ever had. I could not walk out of there without getting of the local ono grindz which meant I indulged in a super fresh, warm spam musubi and an ice cold Hawaiian Sun drink to go. The spam musubi was made to perfection and tasted just like a day at the beach. After washing it down with my Hawaiian Sun drink, I only wish I had more of each with me... so awesome! If you're looking for a fresh new friendly spot to try, hang out and check out - I'd love love love for you to check out 808 SOCIAL! Whether you're from the 'aina or not, there is plenty of aloha here to go around! As much as I appreciate the idea of the 808 social model, I am hard pressed to continue going where Kona coffee is not sold. Isn't that what people identify with Hawaiian coffee? I'm not looking for anything more than a cup of Hawaiian coffee. Specialty drinks are available anywhere with a drive through. This place offers variations on a theme using basic coffee. Where everybody knows your name....And their always glad you came...This cute little shop located in old Town Peoria at the far west end of the strip mall on the south side of the road. I was turned onto this cute little cafe by my fellow Yelper Sara M. The gals here know Sara well! They make a great coffee. They have cookies right now made by a fellow baker that were so pretty I had to come in and pick some up for some friends and family. This shop is very popular in their community and they have a lot of fans not only getting coffee but stopping by to say hello. Half of the Peoria police department was coming in for drinks as we were leaving. So friendly and tasty! Definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

Cool beans. Unfortunately, there weren't any musubi left. I guess it's a coffee shop, and it's a plus to have food. I was hoping to score some of the manapua which I was told was usually there on Sundays, and they still out quick. I ended up getting a POG lemonade (I don't drink coffee, and I didn't want anything with caffeine in the afternoon). I got an ube brownie, ono! And I took some of the toffee home. Everything was good. I happened to be in the area. It's way far away from anywhere I go normally. I hope to go again and try the food. I love the local Hawaiian atmosphere when I first walked through the door. As someone who was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii, it truly was nostalgic and kind of emotional to something that it wasn't cheesy or overdone. I was greeted with a happy smile by the barista and she showed me so much kindness. I had the iced chai with oat milk, which to be honest was a little too sweet for my personal liking but I am a spicy and sweet chai type of person so I don't blame them at all. However, I'd be lying if I said I didn't finish the whole thing in one gulp :) Sadly, they didn't have any spam musubi's but i'll definitely have to come back to try them. I love how they truly show their love for their people by supporting small Hawaiian business. And, you can see it spread across the cafe. I'm new to the Phoenix metro area and I stumbled upon this cafe on my way to Driftwood Coffee. It was a Sunday and I was feeling blue cuz I don't know a soul in Phoenix and I'd been working long hours in my new clinic. Well, I walk in to the sound of Common Kings on the stereo and I'm suddenly transported back to Hauula, Hi and my mood takes a turn for the better. I order my coffee after some chitchat with the owners and then notice that they sell masubi (spam sushi rolls). I ordered two and ate them so fast that I actually choked! (Haha! They got "choke" masubi! ) They even had flyers for a local poke festival! Anyhow, anyone who has lived on the islands and had to leave for economic reasons knows that there is no place like Hawaii. There is forever a hole in your heart where Hawaii used to be. The islands, the people, the food, the diversity of cultures, the slow pace and friendly vibes...there is so much to miss about that place. If you ever spent any time on Oahu or Maui and you understand what I'm saying, come on down and caffeinate at a locally owned business rather than some corporate chain. Support ohana rather than a CEO. My only suggestion is that they need to put in a sofa and a couple of overstuffed comfy chairs. I tend to look for coffee shops where I can park myself on a couch, read a book, and orders chai & lattes one after the other all afternoon. If they did that, I'd grow fat off masubi right in front of their eyes. read more

Saw their name mentioned in Neighbor hood. Being a big fan of Hawaii, I decided I needed to give them a try. The people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. My go to drink is two shots of espresso with about an inch of foam on top. This is my first espresso in over a year with all that is going on. I was not disappointed. Their espresso is very good, smooth without a good clean taste. I will definitely be back for more. read more
