Second trip there and nobody in my party could eat their food this place can close any time now. The deviled eggs were so bad I could hardly even eat them. Tastes like salt and vinegar. and the gravy on the overcooked country fried steak was out of a can. It wasn't even properly heated. It was still gelatinous. And when they say "seasonal vegetables", they mean boiled squash, which was disgusting. A little bit of seasoning would help something that tremendously. But no. And frankly there is no excuse for this. This is restaurant is owned by a larger restaurant group that is very successful in the Phoenix valley so why this ugly redhead stepchild of a beast exists? who knows. Server was nice. read more

Great service and a beautiful view of the golf course. Will be back to try more of their signature dishes.

Pretty decent food & good view. It's so rare to find a restaurant in this area with a view. Service was excellent.

Met a friend for lunch on a busy Friday afternoon. Made a reservation weeks ago and it was good that I did! We sat inside and they opened the doors to allow the afternoon breeze. Patio seating is also an option. This establishment is in the active retirement community of Sun City Grand (aka The Grand). It recently opened and was very busy hosting the 70+ crowd. Dana greeted us right away, let us catch up before ordering and was very attentive throughout our visit. The food came out quick, hot and beautifully prepared. The fish tacos were great! Flavorful, moist and the perfect size for lunch. The tots could have been crispier but the delicious ranch & spicy aïoli dipping sauce made up for it. If you go to their site, westsideconcepts.us you can download a $10 coupon to use within 30 days. Just be sure to let your server know and ask for the bills to be on "separate tables" if you have multiple checks. Nice to have a decent restaurant in town. We'll be back for sure! read more

3rd Trip to Maple & Rye. We wanted to try breakfast this week as well. It didn't disappoint. We and so many residents in the area are so happy to have a new, fresh place to go for meals any time of day. Again, headed over in our golf cart for a 945AM reservation for 2. Our server was Sabi and we were very impressed. Sabi took care of all our needs and even if with a slight glitch, was able to get the correct meal very fast. My suggestion for the restaurant, if someone orders hot tea, have a small pot of hot water near by to make a second cup of tea. We aren't coffee drinkers, so we like to make 2 cups out of one tea bag. Bonus, provide 2 tea bags per order. That would go a long way to. A customer who loves tea!! Today we started with the donut holes. Very nice treat and shareable for 4! Just the right amount of glaze, but even a little extra brought on the side. Suggestion - make sure to serve with small plates. This is a sticky and drippy dish. For meals, we had the biscuit and gravy. I had it with breakfast potatoes and egg whites with cheddar cheese. Biscuit was large and love the homemade taste! Gravy was also a nice treat, not too salty and actually flavorful. And I was a big fan of the potatoes. I'll be back for more!! The build your own omelette included cheddar, bacon and ham as an add on protein. Hash browns were perfect. Sourdough could have used more butter, but overall a nice complement to the meal. We are very happy with this place. We have tried all 3 meals and some were bigger hits than others, but overall, great to have a beautiful new place to hang out and enjoy a wonderful view. read more

The entire restaurant looks FANTASTIC!!! The food has always been excellent. The atmosphere is great and the employees are attentive and knowledgeable. The drinks are made WELL. It doesn't matter who makes them they are always the same. On to other restaurants owned by this organization. read more

First time visitors while staying at The Grand. Seated immediately in the midafternoon on a weekday. Sat outside as we requested. Nice views, both sun and shaded seating. Attractive decor inside and out. Great friendly service by female staff, I think her name was Selena. She explained about the loyalty program that was helpful as we are new to the area. We just came in for Happy Hour cocktail and snack to check the place out. Enjoyed the Totchos (nachos made with Tator tots). Large portion. My husband's cocktail was solid and I enjoyed house wine. We will come back to enjoy brunch or a dinner as well as Happy Hour again! read more

To the owner sit down and try to eat: Salmon Tilapia Those two dishes either need to be taken off the menu or you need a new recipe. I have had 5 inedible meals here and it's sad because this was the one place that we ate at once a week... Your chefs need to care about the ART of flavor, preparation and presentation read more

Ate at the bar. It feels like you are sitting under flood lights! A dimmer switch would have been a good touch. I ordered the Filet Mignon. Steak was cooked properly. The Bernaise sauce was terrible! It has a sort of soapy taste. Got one scoop of mashed potatoes, just ok. The description of brussels sprouts was that they are served with chèvre cheese, bacon and a balsamic vinegar. I got plain brussel sprouts, no extras. Very disappointed with the whole experience. My meal is blah and dull. read more

Fast service and great staff. But, for a Saturday morning and 3 quarter full it was really loud and music so loud that the staff cant hear the order. Staff was doing silverware sorting and placement to the table for 20 minutes. Extreming loud and just rude next to the tables. Food bland drinks was spot on. read more

Food and service was great, however, they need to cut their vegetables smaller for the omelets.

Excellent Food! Great service, when available (meaning, if they were appropriately staffed). But the management is the problem. So very poorly mismanaged! When a customer has an issue with something and addresses that issue with the wait staff and the staff member can't help you and gets the manager and the manager starts arguing with the customer at the table with their out of town guest sitting across the table looking shocked . She created an embarrassing (for herself) moment and totally ruined the evening for us and our guests. I'd rather tell this story and never go back than let bad managers go unnoticed. read more

Food was a low Okay. Service was horrible, not the waitress fault. We waited over an hour just for the French Dip. We asked the waitress why it took so long. She was very apologetic and said that the cooks were just taking their time. This is poor management! The manager should let the cooks know that just because they have to be there, patrons do have jobs to go to or appointments. Ambiance was ok. However, I don't recommend this restaurant during late morning / lunch if you have other commitments. read more

Visiting from out of town and found this place on Yelp. It's 8 mins from the hotel so an easy location for us to get to. I didn't realize is was on/near the gold course. Restaurant was nice and clean and there's a beautiful view of the golf course and the little pond. We asked to sit inside since it was over 100 degrees outside, even though they had misters on the outside patio. Service was great! Our waitress was so friendly and welcoming. She also checked on us a few times throughout our visit. There was also another waitress that walked by and complimented me. She was so sweet. The food was good! We stopped in and got brunch. French toast and a loaded hash skillet. Everything was flavorful, but the drink we had weren't so great. The margarita was too tart and sour and the chili margarita was so bland. It tasted to watered down and was not good at all. View was amazing. read more

We came here for the first time for restaurant week. They just weren't prepared. Ran out of starters and dessert. Short staffed. Bit of a bust. Suggestion to offer replacement starters/dessert. Our server, Drew, was awesome. Did the best he could with what he was dealt. He was waiting on every single table as everyone complained and the manager just stood by and watched not helping. Food was pretty good, no complaints there. A lot of windows with a nice view of the course. read more

Always great service at Maple & Rye! Sabi was our bartender and will always bring a smile to your face! We split the Cobb Salad and it was just what we were looking for! Real bacon, fresh avocado, pickled onions, hot grilled chicken, blue cheese crumbles and an awesome thousand island dressing. What a great treat! Thanks to Sabi and the M&R crew for a great meal! read more

We've had a great experience with food, drinks and waitstaff. It's lovely sitting on the golf course and the water feature out the window. The only thing last time I didn't care for, is last visit we had finished dinner and were ordering another drink/catching up, when the manager came and started taking things off our table, trying to get us to cash out and interrupting twice. There were tons of open tables so they didn't need ours and we had just spent $150; weeks weren't sipping $2 drinks and holding a table. Just thought it felt rushed. Up until that point, everything was great and both times loved our server. read more

Clean place. Great waiters (David). Food is very good. Like how they rotate the special menu. Staff, in general, are all great.

Love Cassandra! Outstanding service and she makes the best Bloody Marys in town!! Food is great, too!

We love the bar! We always meet great people and our bartender Cassandra is outstanding!

Great place to have breakfast or lunch. Great view of the golf course. Cassie is the best!

Food was great service was awesome and the ambiance was amazing very peaceful my girls and I enjoyed everything about this place.

Brunch - RECOMMENDED! Patriot Breakfast is our go-to. As a self-proclaimed bacon and hashbrowns snob .... APPROVED! My sons and I love this breakfast and no longer need menus when we make it in before 2PM. Love to add a margarita or mimosa to give that true brunch feel any day. When not sitting on the patio, love the bar area with the wide, high top leather stools - so comfy! Bar deco is beautiful and TVs always have a variety of sport programming going. We'll be back. read more
