To: Corporate Leadership, On June 4th, I ordered a biscuit sandwich with no cheese (highly allergic) to go, from your location in Glendale, AZ. I got my order without checking it, and drove to my office in Surprise. When I sat down at my desk and opened my order the sandwich had cheese on it. Obviously, I was upset, but no worries there was another Biscuit Cafe located here in Surprise about 8 minutes away. So, I got back in my car with a completely uneaten in tact order and went to the location here in Surprise. I spoke with the host about what had happened and she proceeded to go get the manager. The manager informed me that they would not re-make my sandwich, citing that they would be providing uncompensated product. I asked her if she was serious about her position? I work in Corporate Finance, and I could not believe that her position was to not make right an order over what ultimately is very little in food cost. My sandwich was about $15 with tax, so removing tax and your margin out of the equation, this was not a serious financial inconvenience for your organization. Truth be told it's not that significant of a financial inconvenience to me either, it was more of the principle. Any customer facing organization understands the power of negative reviews as an impact to marketing and having bad reviews etc. over a sandwich that probably cost you between $4 and $8 including labor cost is not smart management, and you should definitely take a look at the decisions this particular manager at that location is exercising. read more

Maria, our server, was a delight. She was fun to chat with -- we came in not very long after the restaurant opened, and only three other tables were occupied -- so we had a moment or two to talk. Very fine person. Our coffee cups were brought to our table. My partner ordered her standard breakfast, biscuits and gravy, and I had the Original Breakfast: eggs over medium, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. Just left my Surprise location and they have gotten worse! My server was nice and attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash and they got it out to me in just over FIVE MINUTES! And what I got wasn't even corned beef hash! It was corned beef with scrambled eggs on top with hash browns on the side that literally looked like it was mass made in a sheet pan! And everything was lukewarm!?! I also substituted the toast for biscuits and asked for a side of gravy. The gravy was lukewarm to yet the sauce cup it came in was hot! I got microwaved gravy!?!?! Went to Brunch with son and dil. Noon thirty place was packed. We were greeted and sat right away by a very friendly hostess, a petite young lady with a warm smile. The server was right over, beverages hot coffee and Iced Tea, refreshing and kept full. We all had the Build your own, pick 3: eggs, bacon and English muffin perfectly prepared for me. The bacon was so delicious, thick and yummy. My son also pick 3: ham and cheddar cheese omelet, red potatoes and biscuits and gravy , comes with 2 biscuits and fresh homemade sausage gravy. DIL chose pick 4: scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon and biscuits and gravy. WOW!! Portions are large, food was great flavor, service was spot on! Lots of food to take home for later. We're new to the area and headed here for breakfast today. The wait staff was friendly, and attentive without being pushy. I had the bacon egg and cheese and the biscuit was superb! Good bacon and what was definitely an over easy egg was tasty. The hash browns are the best I've had in a while. Coffee is meh. We stopped in on a Sunday about 9:45am. The wait was fairly short. Fortunately, we were seated outside because the noise level inside was insanely loud. My wife ordered French toast and crispy bacon. She even stressed that she wanted the bacon crispy. I ordered a cinnamon roll and a side of the chicken apple sausage. Turns out they were out of chicken apple sausage after being open for just over 3 hours, so I settled for the sausage links. Mistake. Part of our food order arrived a bit later. The French toast and limp bacon along with three sausage links and no cinnamon roll. My wife asked the server for crispy bacon. The server was very nice and accommodating. The sausage links were not good. My cinnamon roll arrived several minutes later and it must have had a full cup of icing on it. Were it not for the icing, the cinnamon roll would not have had much flavor at all. It was as if the large amount of icing was added just to give it flavor. I ate less than half before abandoning it because like the links, it was not good. A person should not leave a restaurant still hungry. All in all, the food was not good. The staff is great, but that's not enough to bring us back in. We do not recommend Biscuits Cafe. read more

I may need to only dine in here. There tends to be more concerns with take out. Everyone loves a treat, right? It's my birthday month so I thought it would be good day to get a take out. I ordered the Avocado Toast. My husband ordered the Country Omelette. Other than having only 2 mushrooms in the omelette and the gravy not tasting as it had before, he enjoyed it. I wasn't impressed with the Avocado Toast. I now know the entree is only the Avocado Toast with eggs and everything else that is listed is additional ie pico, fruit and gluten free bread. That's not clear on the online menu and wasn't communicated when I placed the order. Oh well. At pickup I mentioned that I wanted to redeem my $5 birthday treat. The cashier wasn't familiar. Long story short, the manager came over and it was too late in the process to redeem it. The manager gave me a $5 gift card. All employees on the register should know how to redeem offers and be familiar with required apps. We like Biscuits Cafe and will return. Today was just not a good experience. We come here occasionally and I am posting this real time today. We waited for almost half an hour to get in, placed our name on their wait list. We get a text message at 10:18 saying our table is ready. There was a long line of people who continued to cut to put their name in or get their tables so when we got to the front it was 10:21. We were told that it had been over 10 minutes so they took our name off. I said it has not been over 10 minutes, showed the hostess my phone saying it was 10:22 and we were waiting for our table. They told us to hold on and then proceed to tell us they called us and it was over 10 minutes which was a FLAT OUT LIE!! They NEVER called us. They called 3 other parties before we got a text but none of them were for us. Instead of doing anything to resolve the issue that THEY caused and get us a table, they basically said then couldn't seat us. This is so unbelievably rude especially after we waited as long as we did. I am so disappointed and don't think we will be back. They could care less! They could have sat us and fixed their mistake, but refused to, and instead tried to blame us when we did nothing wrong! No accountability and it's just wrong. read more

This place keeps on getting worse, undercooked potatoes (too many times) to dirty cups, service is ok, nothing fabulous, however you will prefer a waiter instead of a waitress, the females there aren't too happy working there. Full disclosure: based on my food, it was 3 stars. However, my in-laws like this place. My daughter ordered the country fried steak and liked it better than the last one she had from another establishment. She gives her food 4 stars. We came in around 11AM on a Thursday and were seated right away. Seating is plentiful. The place has a good amount of light. The decor is colorful and bright, has a touch of country theme (distressed wood, etc), but has a lot of those hanging signs with cutesy sayings. There is a decent selection of savory and sweet items. I decided on the BEAST Benedict (bacon, egg, avocado, spinach, tomato). It sounded different, but it has all the things I like, so why not try? It was a good amount of food, but it did look like most of my plate was covered in hollandaise. That's no big deal, however the flavor of the hollandaise was just okay. The hash browns it came with were plentiful, but the flavor was just okay as well. Normally I like to have them with ketchup, but most of it was covered with hollandaise. Service was good. Our server checked in on us regularly. Food came out fairly quickly. I would come back, but I'd definitely like to try something entirely different, like maybe pancakes or waffles! read more

Place is very inconsistent in quality. I imagine they may burn through staff as I don't commonly get the same server in the mornings. I brought my son this go round and he ordered the kids pancake, with bacon and egg. I got a pick 4 of biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, strawberries (for my son) and eggs overhard. The food comes in a few minutes, even when busy, so that is cool, but as someone who has been here probably 10 times, it always seems to be hit and miss. This time they hit on the eggs, pancakes, bacon and berries, but missed on the hasbrowns and biscuits and gravy. The hashbrowns were soggy with oil, they were hot, but almost felt like they had been sitting on. The flat top a long time in oil. The biscuits and gravy tasted bland, normally they are actually pretty good, so maybe someone messed up the white gravy. Idk. I had to add cholula and pepper and was still just ok. Our server was excellent and the restaurant was well maintained. They have newer looking menus and seem to have raised prices. They seem to be starting to price themselves out of my business though. While I do enjoy it, their 3 biscuits and gravy are 18$ now, while a different breakfast spot a few miles east is 11$. I get with inflation and such, but as breakfast spots, they are generally considered cheaper food and for the prices I don't feel you get the consistent quality for the cost. read more

Stopped by for brunch. It was super busy, with bit of a wait but it gets moving. Our server was very kind and friendly. She took our order quick and answered any questions we had about the menu. There is a lot of options on the menu. It was hard to decide what to try I ended up with the fiesta chicken wrap and it did not disappoint. The portions are good size. Others on the table ordered the burger, the egg Benedict and salad. It was all really good. Inside is clean and spacious m, they have booths and tables so you have option for seating. It is a large facility with many tables and booths and a wing to the right when you come into the room tar has about a dozen tables that is more comfortable and intimate and not such a loud busy feeling. There salads as lunch entrees are big and if you have if with protein you get a lot of protein. The breakfast is normal fair good. All food is good. Not great but good it is a busy place with occasional wait for a table. Not a cozy intimate kind of place. Staff are on top of things, efficient, never had a less than Positive experience!!! We ordered the BYOB of: buttermilk, chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, sausage (well seasoned) and a fruit cup - which was sad & tasted like it was out of a container. My friend ordered the buttermilk and got two pancakes, whereas I had the chocolate chip and only got one. We usually go to the Biscuit Cafe in Glendale, but happened to be close by this one and thought we'd give it a try. Same good, delicious food. Got the biscuits and gravy which is our favorite entrée and it did not disappoint. Service was exceptional as it always is in their other locations. You just can't go wrong with any Biscuit Cafe. I've been here 4 times over the last couple of weeks with different people since it's one of very few breakfast joints nearby. Love that they have gluten free options for pancakes, waffles, and bread. However, I have only tried the bread so far and wasn't a huge fan. But it IS hard to find good gluten free bread. With that being said, definitely don't recommend the benedict on gluten free toast. It didn't really pair that well. It's like potato chips in salsa. It works if you're desperate I guess but no thank you. Biscuits and gravy was good. I only stole one bite from someone else's plate...I'd steal bites again. The cinnamon roll is good. It's got cream cheese frosting. It's not dry but it's not gooey like cinnabon. It lives in the middle of the spectrum and I'd split it with someone again but not racing for another one. Cinnamon rolls are my jam so I had to check it out. Lol The build your own breakfast is decent. Love the sausage links way more than the patties. Bacon crispy was delicious flavor!!!! I always ask for hashbrowns crispy and I have yet to have them actually come out more than 15% crispy...so majority of those go uneaten. I do think the prices are a bit high for a basic breakfast but it won't stop me from coming back due to very limited options and the fact I dont get sick afterwards like some restaurants. My daughter & I had her birthday brunch yesterday coming for the first time. When we entered we noticed it was busy but not overcrowded so we just had to wait for someone to seat us. Someone came & sat us at the table & gave us our menu's. Once she returned I told her it's my daughter's birthday & we ordered the 2 biscuits w/ sausage gravy, eggs & 2 sausage links, Country omelette w/ the sausage gravy on the side which comes pancakes or toast, hashbrowns or potato's w/ Blue raspberry lemonade & water. Our food arrived very quickly & portions were big as well. We both enjoyed our food & the only suggestions we would have is the sausage gravy needed to be seasoned better, hash browns needed seasoning as well & cooked just a little longer on the grill & for the special lemonade's to be in a larger mug glass for $6.50 w/o refills. The prices were pricey but reasonable because of their portions ranging from $13-17 a person depending on your food selections. The waitress surprised our daughter w/ their huge cinnamon roll for her birthday & wished her happy birthday. She was amazing, kind & attentive during our visit. We will definitely be back again. This was our first time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint! They definitely have more breakfast options than lunch but it's a nice selection. Recommend you actually get a biscuit -there's a reason they're called that.. seasonal homemade jams are their thing (but strawberry is the best, you can ask for it). Chicken Apple sausage plate, the classic breakfast sandwich and the country omelet are our favorites! (My fiancés only wish Is that they did sausage patties for the sandwich). The cooks are awesome at making the eggs the way you ask for them. Food comes out consistent and hot every time. Order the chocolate coffee it's delicious and has one free refill. They're always busy on weekends and there's a reason for it, but you don't usually have to wait long if at all for a table.
