Service was easy going and friendly. They do have a Fresh All You Can Eat Salad Bar that looked great. On my list for next time I visit. Food came quickly and was plentiful. We tried as an appetizer The Poblano Bacon Cheese Stuffed Peppers. Enough to share with two to three. It was interesting. We also tried The Country Fried Steak and Gravy. Very Well Done and Perfectly Fried. Nice large serving. I had The 8 Piece Fried Shrimp Basket. Nicely Fried. The Fries were ok but not fabulous. All in all this place is a good place to grab a bite and a nice cold Cocktail. Worth a Visit.

He greeted us promptly (pretty important in a bar situation), asked us if we planned on having food as well as drinks, and got our experience off on the right foot immediately. John was really helpful with menu knowledge and recommendations and he was personable and easy to talk to. Managed to check on us periodically despite having a pretty full bar room to manage. He did it all smoothly. The food exceeded our expectations too! Sure I just got a burger and fries but the burger was excellent, juicy, cooked exactly to my medium well preference, and the bacon was memorably good (I just got American cheese and bacon). I liked having the pickles, lettuce, and tomato on the side and he even asked in advance what condiments I wanted (sometimes I have to chase down a server after they deliver the burger and ask for mayo or mustard, not here). The fries were pretty good as well. My wife got the steak with rice and both were really good (the rice wasn't all that hot in temperature but still really tasty). Steak really was delicious and done to perfect medium well again. The carrots that accompanied the steak were great too! And the drinks were great, too! Pinot Grigio was really good and very reasonably priced and I had a great huckleberry peach margarita; my wife loved her whiskey (I think it was Pendleton Reserve maybe?). The friendly and welcoming ambiance didn't stop with Jon, either. Every server and staff member we interacted with was great. We had a really great time here and plan to return here the very next day on our last night in Wickenburg. P.S. I appreciate that the receipt had the largest font on a restaurant receipt that I've ever seenx

This…read morefamily-owned restaurant is exactly what a small-town steakhouse should be--friendly, welcoming, and serving generous portions at prices that are hard to beat. We started with the complimentary warm rolls, which were soft and fresh, along with a crisp Caesar salad. The 16 oz Prime Rib $39 was huge, cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The loaded baked potato was a meal on its own. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was creamy, rich, and topped with well-seasoned grilled chicken. A bit soupy like for us. Even the specialty cocktail was refreshing and reasonably priced. What impressed me most was the value. For the quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the overall experience, it's one of the best deals you'll find. You can tell this is a place that takes pride in serving great food rather than chasing trendy dining. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. If you're looking for an authentic small-town dining experience with excellent food, generous portions, and fair prices, Cowboy Cookin' is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Wickenburg!

While we were there, we saw bull riding, checked out the different stores, and listened to an amazing live band. Those were easily the best parts of the experience and are what will keep us coming back. The service, unfortunately, was a different story. When we arrived to be seated, it took a while because communication between the staff seemed to be lacking. A table had been reserved for us, but not everyone working seemed to know about it. Once we were finally seated, it took about 30 minutes just to place our food order. After ordering, we waited close to an hour and did not receive our food until we finally asked about it. About 30 minutes into waiting for the food, I ordered an Old Fashioned. That also took around 30 minutes and didn't arrive until our food did. Do yourself a favor and skip the Old Fashioned. It's not worth it. For dinner, we ordered the platter with rib tips, beef ribs, and brisket. The rib tips and beef ribs were honestly amazing and something I would absolutely order again. The brisket, however, was extremely dry and we couldn't finish it. Overall, we will definitely be back because the atmosphere, entertainment, and activities were great. I'm just not sure I'll order anything more complicated than a bourbon on the rocks next time. As far as eating goes, I'd probably only do it again if I knew I had plenty of time to wait and didn't have my kids with me.

The restrooms are very nice if you need to wash the dust off. The people were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The menu is limited due to the kitchen being very small. There are no steaks or burgers. There are pizzas including a cauliflower crust option that we had. The ingredients were good quality and it was loaded with cheese. We also had a house salad that seemed fresh. It was mostly spinach though. The ranch was unremarkable and is allegedly not house made. All in all we like this roadhouse, but would like some more menu options.
