We eat here often but tonight they were really on point so I wanted to highlight their NYE menu. Everything was ala carte - I went with the Cordon Bleu and it was delicious. I haven't been here in a few years but always had a decent experience when I would join my friends for happy hour. My husband and I decided to have dinner here while in the area. We were immediately greeted and seated by the hostess, and quickly greeted by the friendliest most down to earth server-I wish I would've got his name. He was honest in his opinions on recommendations and everything he recommended was delicious. We had the dinner special and cleaned our plates. The cocktails weren't that great, so we stuck to beer. My server Jen was an amazing waitress. She was fun to talk to and was on it with giving recommendations on what to eat. I loved that we got to eat outside in the patio. With the perfect weather and serene view of the golf course and mountain view, our date was perfect! We ordered the Reuben with the sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were perfect in length and crunchy on the outside. The Reuben had a good layer of pastrami and was delicious. I enjoyed the lemon pepper wings, it was my favorite, and my wedge salad. All in all we love the atmosphere and the little visit with the friendly road runner at the golf course! read more

We met friends for dinner. The atmosphere was great. 3 couples were able to hold conversation without having to raise our voices. It was very comfortable and our server was great. Server was in training but did a good job and their trainer was very friendly helpful. My I ordered a burger. It was good, but not great. My husband and i agreed we would not return on our own, but would go again if friends requested it. There are so many other places I would go for a burger. The food wasnt memorable. Someone got the fish and chips snd they seemed to like it. I think someone else got the Philly and liked it. We enjoyed our evening with friends. read more

Ordered a cheeseburger, the patty is small in size not even comparable to a fast-food place. Small portion of fries 19$ not including my tea or tax. After tea, tip, tax it was 30$ (unacceptable) I was very dissatisfied for this price. Plus as I waited I notices the bar floor next to the wood has not been swept or mopped in a very very long time, the wood on the bar hasn't been dusted in who knows how long. Very very dirty. The waiters don't seem to care. It took the 2 guys next to me over 15 minutes to get the waiters attention, and the waiter just kept walking past them multiple times ignoring them. We went to eat at the Verrado golf club to show our out of town family the gorgeous golf course. We had a party of 8. 5 adults/3kids. Our server was great & made up for the host staff. It was close to 5pm (dinning room was not crowded) and there was a wedding so the other dinning areas was closed. So we said we'd sit outside. The host staff really wasn't very accommodating at all. there wasn't one table in the shade that could seat all 8 of us & they said they couldn't move tables or umbrellas (it was a hot day) so we opted for indoor in which they also said they couldn't move tables to accommodate our party of 8. So they put us 5 adults in a booth & 3 kids at a table next to us. As we were finishing eating they moved 2 tables to accommodate a party of 8 (with children) at the table near the window. Needless to say we were not happy. We should have complained to the manager but just decided we just won't come back. read more

I grew up in Waddell and used to go to the Verrado Grille when I was much younger...but it was typically for lunch or dinner. I had no clue until recently that they serve breakfast. There are not nearly enough breakfast options out this way so I met up with a friend to try it out. There were not many people there on a Monday morning which was nice. This restaurant is near my aunts complex and we visited it twice. I had wings and cocktails then next time had the crab cakes and cocktails (vacation!). Service was excellent, vibe is chill and laid back, food was great no cons there, and is a great place for conversation and good food without a lot of noise. This place is a joke. For the third time I ordered their prime rib special that they have on Wednesday night. Once again it was a big disappointment. It was like eating a piece of leather. Their menu on their website sounds great with great choices - unfortunately that menu is not the same one that is in the restaurant. My husband ordered the chicken wings. When we got the bill there was a $4 charge for the brown celery and carrot sticks (about 5 tiny pieces) that came with his chicken wings - they are included at every other restaurant but not at Verrado. They don't accept same day reservations but she was happy to accommodate our party and set up a nice table in the shade on their patio. Nicole was our server and was very good. Their menu is pretty standard but I ordered the "traditional breakfast" for a weekend splurge and loved it. Thick Bacon, crispy home fries, delicious sour dough & perfectly cooked eggs. The food was better than I expected, given the reviews. I've eaten here twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast was good, and they accommodated some special requests. The service was great, and the view of the golf course was nice (we sat outside). This time, we sat inside for dinner and were seated next to the fireplace. I was cute and cozy. I had an espresso Martini, and it was ok but not great. Hubby tried their house beer on tap, and it was also ok, but not great. The food, however, was outstanding! The fries and potatoes were both seasoned very well. The chicken was good, but the Mahi sandwich was better. The ceviche was just ok because the shrimp was overcooked, but overall, we enjoyed the food and the experience. The service was outstanding both times we visited so we will surely return. read more

The second time I've visited this restaurant near the golf course. If you sit outside, you'll get great views. The food is decent, nothing extraordinary, which for the location you would expect something more. The service has been hit or miss. Some of the wait staff are grumpy, and it seems you are bothering them with your order. My friend and I were walked in by the host to a table and one of the waitresses told him not to sit us there since she had just got a call from her regulars and that was their table, to sit us elsewhere. Sort of a rude comment to say in front of us. Fortunately, we had a nice waiter attending us, Chris. Overall, it is not a bad location to have breakfast or lunch with a couple of friends, but don't expect anything extravagant. Which is upsetting since location has lots of potential. read more

I don't play golf. I don't even like the idea of country clubs. But then the pandemic hit, and I decided to move way out of the city -- to a whole town that's a country club. With two golf courses. And a few clubhouses. And I didn't know this before I picked up and moved! So I'm sure you can imagine my pure glee when the family suggested we go to "the club" for dinner. "Great," I thought, "bathroom attendants, coat rooms, dress codes and institutional gourmet food at Las Vegas resort prices." I am so glad to have been so wrong. Verrado Grille is an old school, family sit-down restaurant with something for everyone, and it's possible to feed a family of 4 for under $50. They've got a weekly special burger (sometimes it's even salmon or chicken) that almost always pairs well with the smoky, flavorful barbacoa fries starter. The Mahi wrap is a perfect, fresh lunch pick. The salads are enormous, packed with greens and garnishes that look like a magazine cover. Cocktails are a bit on the Scottsdale side, price-wise, but don't be fooled: Verrado isn't stingy like Scottsdale -- you get at least twice as much booze for your buck. Have I mentioned the burgers? They're really good burgers. Plain old fries, too -- they're a house specialty. If the weather allows, definitely sit on the patio. The kids can check out the ducks at the pond and watch the sedan-sized hawks circle overhead. Sunsets are (as those who live here already know) a cut above the best you'll find in the Valley. The service is attentive, but in a familial way -- the servers typically won't hesitate to engage with the kids and have a conversation with the table. They've always accommodated large parties of 6-8, even on short notice -- and there are several big spaces with conference and ballroom setups. read more

We moved to Victory in August 2024 and have frequented the Verrado Grill. The food is always good. We love the Rueben or a salad at lunch and enjoy Happy Happy. Dinner entrees are solid too. Nice comfortable environment inside and beautiful views outside. Service has never been stellar but recently has deteriorated to awful. Today, our server simply disappeared after one check-in. No drink refills and no bill. Waited at least 15 minutes after we finished lunch before Stepping up to the bar to have bartender check us out and waited another 10 minutes then despite only 2 parties at the bar. Server came back as I was waiting and saw me at bar to pay. Said "Perfect" but didn't offer to finish or apologize for being MIA. Definitely "NOT Perfect". read more
