Bella Luna is easily one of the most underrated spots in the area--and honestly, I love that for them. It feels like one of those places you can pop into anytime... because somehow they're always open when you need them Between the cozy indoor dining, warm lighting, and that super cute patio with string lights and desert views , the vibe is effortlessly relaxed but still gives classic Italian charm. It's the kind of place that works for everything--casual lunch, low-key dinner, or even a spontaneous meet-up. Service? Consistently GREAT. Attentive without hovering, and super accommodating when it comes to dietary preferences. If you're vegan or plant-based, you can absolutely make this menu work. Pro tip: go for a primavera penne with olive oil + fresh veggies and just omit the cheese--simple, clean, and hits every time. The bread service came out hot (as it should ) and paired with olive oil & balsamic... immediate win. And the happy hour caponata? DELISH. Flavorful, slightly tangy, and perfect for sharing (or not lol). Everything landed solid across the board--but I have to laugh... the only thing that threw me off were the straws like full-on red 44oz gas station vibes. Totally out of place for the aesthetic and my glass--but honestly, it just made the experience more memorable. Overall: great food, great service, super versatile spot. One of those dependable go-tos that deserves way more hype.

Chicken Piccata

Oh my Bella, where have you been my whole (Arizona) life? All I can say is the food here is very, very good and my compliments to the chef. We started with the Cheesy Garlic bread and I would recommend this as you won't be disappointed. The bread was fresh, warm and the cheese was melted nicely on the bread After taking her first bite of the piccata, my wife said it was the best CP she has ever had. All she could say was "Omg, Omg, Omg...". Well you get the point. The piccata sauce was savory and topped off with capers. It complimented the chicken perfectly. My wife already wants to go back. Hack: My wife ordered the pasta without sauce but with Olive Oil and garlic. It was outstanding!!! I had the Chicken Parmesan and my question is, how can they make the chicken so tender? I mean it was really, really tender. The kind of tender you would expect from a high-end Italian restaurant in North Boston (see my Boston north end reviews). Try the CP if you are craving chicken parmesan. We finished with a tray of three small Cannolis and they too reminded us of the North End of Boston. Like Arnold said, "We will be back!".

My daughter had the spaghetti and marinara sauce with one meatball and said it was delicious. I had the chicken piccata and it was excellent. The service was great.

I am so bummed. We decided to go out with our daughter last night and Bella Luna was a place we'd been wanting to try. We were greeted by a hostess and seated pretty quick, but man it went downhill fast. After nearly 5-10 minutes of sitting being ignored by who we realized was our waitress a man came over and offered some waters and started to take our drink order. I think he saw we were a bit frustrated. After hearing them chat a second he became the waiter. Unfortunately it didn't get better. Our bread and drinks finally arrived, but we again were left ignored an extended time before we ever saw him to take our food order. There was an elderly couple who had been in the restaurant when we arrived who also seemed frustrated by the wait for food and service. My husband wanted to leave, but I tried to reassure him that it wouldn't be much longer.. Boy was I wrong. We arrived a little after 8pm by the time we got our food it was nearly 930. My husband was mad and my daughter was half asleep. Service was atrocious. There was no apologies. Food was just OK. My husband, my daughter and I didn't even finish our meals. For the prices you think they would care. I did notice they were quite attentive to what seemed to be regulars, but for the elderly couple behind us, our table among a few others, it was like we are invisible. We'll never return two stars for the food.vibe was nice, but with service like that it's hard to care.

Calamari

I really wanted to love Bella Luna -- I appreciate that it's family run and the ambiance is cozy and romantic, which makes for a lovely setting. Unfortunately, the food just didn't deliver for us. Everything we tried was very bland, almost like even the basics (like salt) were missing, and nothing stood out as exceptional. I hope they can bring more flavor into the dishes, because the atmosphere has so much potential.

What a great way to celebrate my birthday. I got their New York strip scampi special which was so delicious the veggies and everything was good. The calamari was delicious and got the Italian bread pudding everything was great. Service was wonderful and was a slow day which made it pretty chill. The decorations were great and the little shovels to eat your dessert was amazing

Pasta was delicious but chicken parm was dry and overcooked. Wife's lasagna was mushy. Small portions.

Good service, great food, and reasonable prices. Lasagna was awesome. Felt like eating a home-made meal that I didn't have to cook.

Tonight, we decided to have Christmas Eve dinner here. Like the times we've been here before, this family owned restaurant did not disappoint! My wife had the Pollo Picatta and loved it! The chicken (pollo) was tender and flavorful. I had the Salciccia, (Italian Sausage dish)! It was simply amazing! Christian, our waiter was extremely attentive and very knowledgeable! We also enjoyed a nice bottle of Chianti from Tuscany! Very delicious! For dessert, we couldn't decide between the Pistachio Cake and the Chocolate Coconut Cake, so why not?? We ordered both, with the intention of taking home the leftovers! Hint: Neither made it out the door, they were so damn delicious!! With it being Christmas Eve, it wasn't very crowded, which made it an even more special dining experience! I highly recommend this for either a quiet intimate dinner or a special family gathering! Buon appetito!

I wanted to take some close friends out to dinner. They are pescatarian eaters . My wife is a vegetarian and I'm an eat anything kind of a guy. The restaurant is in a strip mall , tucked away in a corner. Coming in the place around 5:30, the place was empty. Very dark and my wife noticed the ceiling had many water stains. Not a good sign from the start. We all are not drinkers so it was just water with lemon. We were given complimentary garlic bread and heart shaped rolls which were warm and delicious. My wife isn't a big eater . She ordered Pan-Seared Vegetables Del Giorno with a kid size bowl of spaghetti. She enjoyed her meal. Our friend Carmen ordered Eggplant Parmigiana. She enjoyed it but thought the Eggplant should have been sliced thin . Texture can take your meal to the next level. Our friend Mike ordered one of the specials of the night . Lobster Ravioli & Scallops and a bowl of Soup Del Giorno ( Clam Chowder). Mike(y) like the commercial says "I like it". I had the Vitello (Veal) Parmigiana with Minestrone Soup. My take is food was good but portion was small for the price. We had Tiramisu and Oreo Cake that was excellent. Service was friendly but invisible, and very slow. No one came around for refilling our water, had to ask for that and more bread. Food way too long to get. No one asked us how everything tasted. As I mentioned about my meal that prices don't fit portion amount for all of our meals. Good food but not worth a future visit.

I was momentarily disappointed and mention to our server Aaron that I was sad to see it gone. Aaron immediately offered to check with the kitchen to see if they could make it for me since they do have an eggplant casserole on the menu. He came back in under a minute and said it was no problem to order it even though it's not on the menu! It was fantastic as always. Their sauce is really what makes this so delicious. It arrived hot with their amazing French fries and I enjoyed every bite. My husband had his favorite the chicken parm sandwich and he said it was perfect too. Two sandwiches, two iced teas. Lunch for under $40 before the tip. Hard to beat that these days. After lunch, the manager stopped by to see if everything was as we hoped it would be. I believe his name is Curtis (so sorry if I've got that wrong). He was friendly and genuinely interested in whether everything was satisfactory. Between Aaron's outstanding service and Curtis's genuine interest in customer satisfaction, the spotlessly clean and comfortable dining room and very clean bathrooms, we are more committed than ever to support this independently owned restaurant rather than the plethora of chain restaurants in the West Valley. Just an excellent experience every single time. Thank you.
