I usually avoid these chain restaurants, but my son is a fan and wanted a steak. So I obliged. We arrived a hair before the dinner rush. If you come any later, a spot within the business designated parking is hard to come by. Luckily, we did find parking. So, I recommend arriving before 5pm. They have a system of greeting diners which seems to control crowding and allows hosts to seat diners efficiently. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When walking to our table, we can hear, see and feel the ambiance of a Texas steakhouse.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like that the menus are kept at the table. There is also a novelty of shelled peanuts in a bucket available at your choosing. Tabletop kiosk is also available. As I stated, we arrived on the cusp of dinner rush. So, the slight delay in initial service was understandable. From there our service was top tier and manned by the incomparable Ethan, our super hero server with Texas (by way of Arizona) hospitality. He was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. His genuine kindness showed he really loves to connect. He was mindful of our dinner flow and kept up with all of our needs. So, we want to give Ethan a huge shout out for the excellent service and making our dinner experience at Texas Roadhouse a great one to return to and recommend. Before I get into it. This is 21 years in the foodservice industry speaking. This was Absolutely terrible. I get it's a chain restaurant and some people may give them a pass. But in my opinion, if you're paying for a service. Then You should be getting that service. It was 4 pm on a Friday. (Today) it took 45 min to get our food. 4 steaks med rare, 1 well done and a kids steak bites. Then I get my plate 8oz med rare sirloin and shrimp. My shrimp was COLD to the touch. So much so the butter sauce they put on top wasn't melting. Sent back. Cut into my steak. Cooked right, however it must have been sitting on the pass for a while as it was just slightly over room temp. Told 3 people about it. Finally one offered to reheat it . To which I said no since I don't want it over cooked. Then she offered to re-fire it to which I also said no because it took 45 min the first time. Everyone was already half way done. I'm not waiting another 45 min for my remake. That's where it ended. No other options were given. I refused to eat it. In hopes that they would come back and say. Let's take it off the ticket since you're not eating it anyway. Never happened. Only time someone asked to try to make it right was literally after I paid. They tried giving me a gift card. I refused. I'm not going back. This was strike 3. Last 2 previous times it was terrible as well. Chain, private owned or franchise. If you're going out for a meal. You're paying for a service and you shouldn't settle for less just because it's a chain. Know your value. read more

Last night was the first night we've eaten at Texas Roadhouse in a few years. We used to eat there regularly but in 2021 everything went downhill and we never went back. I'm happy to say that what we used to experience pre-COVID is back. The food was excellent. My wife and I each had a small sirloin. Seriously, who can afford the ribeye these days? They were both tender, cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The kids had burgers and there was a small issue with one of them, menace the four stars, but it was taken care of. Our service was great as well and that was honestly one of the things that kept us away for so long. My family and I visited this location on Tuesday, December 30. We originally planned to dine at another restaurant, but it was closed, so we decided to try this one down the street instead. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy, with a quoted wait time of 25-35 minutes. They have outdoor windows where you can add your name to the waitlist and receive a text when your table is ready. We received our text a little over 20 minutes later, but once we went inside, we were asked to wait off to the side with a group of people for an additional five minutes or more before being seated. This was a bit unusual, as most restaurants seat you right away once your table is ready. After being seated, we looked over the menu and noticed the $5 drink specials, so we ordered those first and later placed our food order. Unfortunately, our waiter did not check on us as often as we would have liked. We do understand that the restaurant was extremely busy, but we still expected a little more attentiveness. Our food took a very long time to arrive, and we noticed other tables around us receiving their meals even though they had ordered after we did. We mentioned this to the manager, who explained that they were very busy due to the holiday season. However, our waiter also told us that Tuesdays are usually not this busy, so it seemed they were not well-equipped to handle the unexpected rush. Our aunt ordered the catfish with fries, but she could not really enjoy it because the only hot sauce available was Tabasco, which was disappointing. We ordered the 9-piece grilled shrimp over rice with sides of green beans and corn. We also ordered several appetizers: boneless wings with barbecue sauce on the side, mozzarella sticks, and loaded potato wedges. The fish dinner and the appetizers were just okay, so we were a little disappointed with the overall taste. The grilled shrimp dinner was decent, and our drinks were fine, although our margaritas could have used a little more alcohol. Overall, our experience was just okay. You also do receive complementary warm rolls and cinnamon butter and also have peanuts. Portions were just as good if I were to dine in the restaurant. The food was great, honestly I am not sure where you can find this quality of a steak at this price. Sure its not Mortons or steak 44 but its a decent cut of meat, priced well. The rolls are the best. My only complaint is the wait time on Friday and Saturday nights can be over an hour and they dont take reservations. Also they need to clean their beer lines. The beer had an off taste to it, which happens when you have mold in the system or its not cleaned properly. read more

I chose to celebrate my birthday with dinner at Texas Roadhouse but given that the closest one to me is ~always~ busy, we made a further drive to this location. My sister had called ahead so we didn't wait very long between arriving and getting sat. When we were sat, we were given two bread baskets (love that for us!) I had the house margarita with a salt rim and it was tasty and balanced. Sweet but just strong enough. I opted for a sirloin and it was fine (could've been a little softer and was on the drier side). Our server was really really busy but nonetheless she still managed to bring us plenty bread and meet our needs. When my brother in law asked if they could sing to me, she first checked in with me about what I was comfortable with and then she brought folks over. I'm generally a fan of Texas Roadhouse. They have good service and consistently good food. And who doesn't love their tolls and honey butter? Our most recent visit to this Texas Roadhouse was disappointing and not at all like what I'd call a "normal " experience. My wife and I arrived; with our granddaughter, before my daughter and her husband. They sat us right away and we waited for our daughter and her husband. When they arrived, they ordered a couple of appetizers. We ordered drinks. So far so good. The drinks came and we ordered our food. Both my daughter and son-in-law had steaks. My wife and I had the single pork chop. I had a baked potato and asked for extra sour cream and no butter. We saw our waiter next when the food arrived. The manager asked about the service, but she should have seen that our drinks were empty.... Our daughter is expecting and asked for her petite filet be cooked medium. The manager asked them to cut into their steaks. Our daughter's was rare. Back it went for the first time. I did not get the extra sour cream I asked for and asked for it again. Our waiter returned with drinks. No sour cream. I asked for extra sour cream the third time. The manager brought back our daughter's steak. It was still rare. Back it went for the second time. Our server brought us the bill somehow not noticing that only three of us had food in front of us. We let him know that we were still waiting on the steak. This time when it came back, it was overcooked. Meanwhile our son-in-law's New York strip was very tough. It looked like he was sawing through it. The manager did comp our daughter's steak. However, the bills were wrong in two ways: 1. We'd asked to split the check evenly. They gave us separate bills. 2. Even with separate bills the appetizers should have been on the other bill. They weren't. We paid and left. If this had been our only experience with Texas Roadhouse we would not be back. read more

I've never, while going to this location have had a bad experience! As a veteran, I love how they support us as well as other organizations around the community. Now for the food review! This time I did a to go order and the staff was so sweet. It was so hot out and they gave me water without asking. Ordering on the website was easy and my food was top tier. I get the same thing every time, and they nail it every time. They even threw in my bag of peanuts. Parking can sometimes be a hassle but that's the only wait I had to tackle. And thanks to the waiter that recommended the cream gravy for my mashed potatoes. (Cinnamon butter was included) read more

This location was horrible. The hostess that took us to our table was not friendly and did not smile. Our waitress was the same very bad attitude. I ordered a spicy margarita and she looked at me like I was crazy and then asked how they're supposed to make that...?? So I told her usually either a jalapeño tequila or muddled jalapeño but she still looked confused... then our drinks didn't come for 20 minutes. We got our starter salads before our drinks. My salad plate had old food on it and the salad tasted sour so I explained that to her and she tried to tell me it was Parmesan cheese from the salad... the salad cheese is definitely not melted and it definitely was not cheese. My filet came out a bad cut very fatty. Macaroni was cold and liquidy texture. Overall the experience was horrible mainly because of the customer service and how I felt not valued as a customer. Hubby ordered the prime rib -medium rare with steak fries & apple sauce. Sadly his prime rib was not up to Texas Roadhouse standards it was cooked medium rare but the meat was chewy & lacking it normal tastiness. This was his first time ordering applesauce, it's standard canned/jarred sauce & nothing to write home about. (normally he gets the chili to dip his fries in but he wasn't feeling it today) Before you ask, No, we did not complain or mention the prime rib not being perfect, sometimes you have a bad day, it was busy & we were expected somewhere so time was an issue. When I ordered I decided to order something outside the box & try something different. I ordered off the early bird special ($13.99) & had the 6 oz sirloin- medium rare, mashed potatoes-plain & buttered corn, my meal was absolutely delicious. I know it sounds weird but the mashed potatoes without gravy or toppings was amazing a new favorite. Our drinks were good iced tea & Modelo. We visited Texas Roadhouse tonight with my wife and our three kids, expecting a normal family dinner. Instead, we left completely disgusted and honestly shocked by the behavior of the staff. During the meal, I took my 5-year-old son to the restroom. While we were there, a busboy walked from the urinal to the mirror with his pants unbuttoned, stood next to us while I was helping my son wash his hands, and proceeded to text on his phone. He never washed his hands before leaving. As a parent, that alone was incredibly disturbing. I brought this to the attention of a manager (a brunette woman with glasses), expecting concern or at least some urgency. Instead, I was met with complete indifference. She simply said she would "talk to him," with no apology or acknowledgment of how inappropriate and unsanitary the situation was. It only got worse from there. Later, the same employee and another staff member walked by our table loudly mocking the situation, joking about not washing hands. They spent the next 30 minutes staring at us, gossiping, and making us feel uncomfortable in what should have been a simple family dinner. I raised the issue again with the same manager and received the exact same dismissive response. At that point, it was clear that professionalism and basic accountability were not a priority. As we were leaving, I admittedly let my frustration get the better of me and said some things I shouldn't have--but being laughed at by staff after everything that happened only made the situation worse. The employee even accused me of "touching him" after I tapped his shoulder to address him, which felt like an attempt to deflect from his own behavior. To add to it, when I spoke with another front-of-house lead (who was actually professional), the manager approached again--not to address the situation--but to scold me for calling the employee a name, emphasizing that he was a minor. However, she showed no concern earlier when he was behaving in a completely inappropriate and unhygienic way. When I made it clear we would not be returning, her response was simply "okay." We spent around $100 on a meal that was completely overshadowed by immature, unprofessional, and frankly disgusting staff behavior. We will not be coming back. read more

I usually don't leave reviews, but I felt this experience was worth mentioning. I work in a restaurant myself, so I understand that busy nights happen and mistakes can be made. However, my friend and I had a really disappointing experience from start to finish. We joined the waitlist and were quoted about a 45-minute wait. After arriving, we ended up waiting another 45 minutes before being seated, while several parties that came in after us were seated first. We understand that wait times can change, but there was very little communication to NO communication about what was going on. Once we were finally seated, the service was just as frustrating. My steak came out rare when I ordered it cooked differently, but I didn't even send it back because our server barely came to the table. Anytime we asked another employee for something simple, like salt or anything else we needed, they would say they would bring it and then never come back. As someone who works in a restaurant, I know how hectic things can get, and I'm usually very understanding. Even after the poor experience, we still left a 20% tip because we know how hard the job is. We weren't expecting perfection, just decent communication and basic service. I had a great experience here a couple of Friday nights ago. We were seated right away since we arrived at the place around 9:30 pm ish. We got a booth and we were treated by our server. I forgot his name but he was very friendly and made we enjoyed our meal. We started with a combo appetizer and then order our main dish. We enjoyed the famous rolls and waited for our food. I was satisfied with my meal and my guest was happy with his considering he has never had Texas Roadhouse ever. Our waitress Tina was awesome but the issues on Wednesday, Jan 7 were out of her control but definitely could have been taken care of by the manager on duty. September (the manager on duty) was called over to our table of 6. We asked why were our steaks brought out 15 minutes before our baked potatoes. Her reply was well that's our protocol. If your steak is done before your sides we bring them out. Her solution to a cold overdone steak was to put it back on the grill to warm it and continue to cook it. Come on! Seriously? Subject: Disappointing Experience at Goodyear Location - Family Celebration Ruined To Whom It May Concern, I'm writing to share a very disappointing experience we had at your Goodyear location last night around 7:45 PM. We made two reservations for a party of eight to celebrate a special night--our son's eighth-grade promotion and our daughter's kindergarten promotion. We kindly asked the host if our tables could be placed near each other. When we were finally seated around 8:15 PM, our tables were on completely opposite sides of the restaurant. One of the tables we were sat at had enough seating for 10 people, so we asked if we could simply combine our group and all sit there together, especially since two of our children are toddlers and space was not an issue. Shortly after, the manager, September, approached and very abruptly told us we had to get up and move to the other table. Her tone was aggressive and dismissive. I tried to calmly explain that we were just trying to enjoy a family dinner and were even willing to reduce our party size if that helped resolve the issue. Still, she refused to make any exceptions, insisting we move, even though nearby we saw other parties of more than six seated at smaller tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Her behavior upset our children--some of whom began to cry due to the confusion and the way the situation was handled.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What should have been a joyful family celebration turned into a stressful and hurtful experience, and we ultimately decided to leave without eating. I know, it's a chain, not really my MO. It's popular for a reason, though, the service is good. I sit at the bar every time, and have mama D serve me. I love her spunk, I love her smile, I love that she does whatever she can to make us happy, within reason. Don't love that we have to wait for the entire party to get there before we can sit down, that's why I go up to the bar top. We visited this location this evening and without a doubt this is one of the worst managed locations in the Phoenix Valley. I have no idea how the manager ( Lacey ) managed to get her job. This is what we experience tonight ( party of 4 adults / 4 kids ) A 30 minute wait in the on deck while the manager seated multiple parties including a party of 6 and a party of 10 plus many others. The manager stated that she was waiting on a table to clear so she could seat us but had no ability to think outside of the box as we would have been fine in the locations where she sat the 6 or the 10 parties. We asked she was totally rude and said sorry you can go elsewhere, which we did after her totally unprofessional actions. Also all of the hostess were yo busy playing a game of who could get a customer who was from out of state. It was pure chaos led by their inept manager. After an hour and 10min we asked for manager . Explained to the manager , Lacey , how long it's been waiting for our food . (2 tables that were seated after us had got there food ). The manager came back saying "found it".... No apology or anything. Even after we got our food , we needed to go boxes...another 20minutes we couldn't find Sandi !
