Best butcher shop I have ever had the pleasure of going too. From their welcoming staff to their well laid out lobby this place is just amazing. They only serve the best USDA prime beef from Nebraska and have plenty of options. From chicken to pork plus seafood and venison they have something for everyone. They also have a huge selection of seasoning and sauces. Aside form a good ribeye or New York strip the best thing they offer are their game changer burgers which is ground short rib and brisket, it is the best burger you will ever have! This is a must if you are a meat connoisseur

Blown away by the assortment in this shop...and it's cleanliness! It was really clean! Really really clean and let's be honest, that's what you want when you walk into a place like this! Everyone needs a good butcher in their life and THIS MAY BE THE TOP WEST VALLEY spot. Chicken, pork, beef, wagyu, seafood, sausages, spices and sauces. They even have knife sharpening opportunities and grill classes! The butchers were super friendly. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star is because I wasn't in a place to buy and try. I just drove by after a nearby appointment and had to pop in. So glad I did and can't wait to stop by and try for our next BBQ!

I only ended up here because I've been on a bit of a backyard cooking kick lately. We've got a full outdoor kitchen and smoker, and today we're hosting a crowd, so I figured I'd go hunt down a solid brisket. That quick errand turned into something else entirely. Walked in and immediately knew I wasn't in a typical grocery store meat section. The selection is on another level. I went in with tunnel vision for brisket and walked out with a beautiful cut, plus a leg of lamb and a few Wagyu steaks that I absolutely did not plan on buying. No regrets. The quality speaks for itself. Everything looked fresh, well-cut, and handled by people who clearly know what they're doing. Not just tossing meat in a case and calling it a day. There were also some more unique options that caught my eye, the kind of stuff you don't usually see unless you're really looking for it. Definitely gave me a few ideas for future weekends. What really stuck with me though was the staff. Genuinely friendly, easy to talk to, and helpful without hovering. I asked a couple questions and got real answers, not some rehearsed script. You can tell they take pride in what they're selling. If you're into cooking, especially if you've got a smoker and like experimenting a bit, this place is dangerous in the best way. I came in for one thing and left with a whole game plan. Safe to say I'll be back next time we're in town.

And everything you need for your recipe, from every Latino brand is here. It's in stock, it's clean, it's fresh. The produce looks fresher than Safeway. Baked goods are never stale, at least never anything I have grabbed out of the case. But, I digress because you can look at my headline and see exactly why I am here: for the tacos. If you are smart, you will ask for quesabirra tacos. And, if you are like me and took a lot of Spanish but struggle to speak it - especially when rolling an "rr" is involved - you will quickly find out how *not* smart you are. Because you will be corrected every single time you come here and tell one of their chefs that you want quesabirra (what am I doing wrong?? lol). But, then the chef lets that minor infraction go by and is off to make your tacos, to order. Off to dip a fresh tortilla in perfect red stew and fill it with its tender, savory beef and a generous handful of queso. Then the chef sizzles it up perfectly on la plancha before hustling back over (it's always busy) to the condiment case, where you better be waiting (this isn't the time to go shop!) to indicate what you want on your taco. They have alllll the things, like 10 different salsas, fresh guac, all kinds of taco-ready raw or cooked veggies and concoctions. And that perfect, beefy red consumme is ready for you in that case, for FREE. (As it should be. I was recently charged $3 at taco truck. Travesty!) Don't forget to ask, in case your chef forgets. Then my tacos are all packed up and I'm sent off to the register to pay for them with all the other goodies I have scored. Everyone who works here - and there are a lot of people - is unfailingly kind and helpful and they serve you fast and efficiently. We are here at least every other week after church and it makes for a blessed day!

It was our first time and there's no rushing you through the order process and they explain how it works, happily. It seems that everyone is humble and makes you feel like this is their love language. My family, the 2 of them had a burger and fries, chicken wings, pulled pork and brisket with Mac n cheese and cole slaw. When I reached the table, they both said the brisket was the best they've ever had! I feel like it's priced right! It's family style, so ordering by the pound makes so much sense. We ordered separately, but we each have good amount of food leftover for a day or two for me. We wanted to try SO many foods. We discussed needing to get the banana pudding next time. We all live downtown Phoenix but coming out to the suburbs for this, was A PERFECT TREAT for a Saturday dinner. My colleague suggested Eric's and WOW, she was SO ON POINT with this suggestion. Oh, they brew their own tea daily. Sweet and unsweetened. Oh, how could I forget the MUSIC! OMG, THE MUSIC! 70s RnB, SOOOOO COOL!!!

The concept is simple: order your meat by the pound, pick your sides, grab a dessert, and snag a beer, specialty soda, or fountain drink on your way to the register. The dining room is basically a redneck cafeteria, and I mean that as a compliment. Long community tables, no table service, and everything is self-serve. Honestly, I prefer it that way. I can grab as much white bread as I want, refill my own drink, never have to flag someone down for napkins, and I've had some great conversations with other patrons. The brisket is consistently good, and I always order it moist. The jalapeño cheddar sausage is another favorite, but the baked beans deserve their own mention. They're loaded with bits of shredded pork that add both texture and smoky flavor, making them one of the better barbecue sides around. Rudy's is one of those chains that doesn't feel like a chain. The focus is on the meat, and it shows. It delivers the consistency you'd expect from a larger operation while still feeling like a neighborhood barbecue joint. That's not an easy balance to strike, but Rudy's pulls it off.

That tells you everything you need to know about the maturity level and character of the trashy people running this place. If you are considering subscribing to this CSA, save yourself the money, the headache, and the wasted gas. *********************************************************** If you are considering subscribing to this CSA, save yourself the money, the headache, and the wasted gas. Blue Sky Organic Farms loves to lean into the warm, fuzzy narrative of "local farm" and "community-supported agriculture," but their actual operation is a complete joke. What good is supporting local if the Folx running it don't actually know how to be in community? Over the course of trying to get basic information regarding my weekly pickup, I reached out through every single channel provided: the designated CSA line, the farm store number, Instagram, and even their restaurant/wholesale line (which, embarrassingly, is a dead line). Not a single person answered. To make matters worse, when messages did go through, I was repeatedly left on read. A few weeks ago, I had to waste an hour of my day driving 40 minutes out of my way to the physical store just to get basic questions answered because their customer service department is utterly non-existent (a fact that even their own front-desk worker acknowledged with total confusion and annoyance). Taking people's money and then stonewalling them when they ask simple, necessary questions about the service they paid for is negligent, amateurish, and fundamentally disrespectful. They should be thoroughly ashamed of how makeshift, disorganized, and dismissive this entire operation is. Do not fall for the "support local" marketing--these people do not care about community, and they certainly don't care about their customers. Go to WINCO!
