Deli Chicken = Buckeye's Best That said, I've gotta give props to their fried chicken at the deli--it's hands down the best in Buckeye ever since the Love's gas station on Miller stopped serving it. That said, it's hit or miss. Some days you'll get someone awesome who's on top of it; other days, they stop serving 30 minutes early and act like you're bothering them by asking. Still, when it's fresh and hot--it's really good. Checkout Nightmare The biggest frustration by far is checkout. There are never enough cashiers, and even the self-checkout has long lines, especially in the evenings. It's exhausting when you're trying to just grab groceries and get home in time to cook dinner. I know I'm not alone--this is probably everyone's #1 complaint. In fact, I bought a giant variety bag of discounted citrus for $1.69 and tangelos for .69 cents a pound, which is an amazing price, no matter where you are. Mostly though, I want to commend how nice, clean, clutter-free and organized the section is. The veggies and fruits are very, very fresh, and the displays looked attractive and maintained. I can tell a lot of care and attention to detail goes into this part of the store. I guess that's all I have to say. The rest of the store was clean, and the cashiers all seemed very nice.

Prices are a bit of sticker shock if you're used to getting meat specials at the grocery store, but here you know where the meat comes from and how fresh it is. I read a lot of ground meat in grocery stores is re-colored and re-packaged several times. So that ground beef for $2/lb might not be such a great deal. Bison is a unique meat. I tried the bison bacon. It was very flavorful, but I forgot to add a bit of oil so it tasted dry. Second try was much better. The bison steaks were very tasty and grilled well. If you're looking for a more natural and local option for your food source, I recommend this place. The price may mean less meat in your diet, but that's not really a bad thing.

The expectation is you will use self check out. In the 3 years I've gone to this location I've never seen a register open. The lines are outrageously long! I'm talking it's common to have more than 20 people in front of you in line. After scanning all your own items and bagging them you then get to walk barely 5 feet away to leave and have an employee want to check your receipt like you're a thief ‍ no employees around to help in store scan and bag your items you're paying for have an employee go through all your things and check your receipt right next to self check I do my best to never come here if I can help it because if I'm giving a business my money and buying their products it would be nice not to do the work for the company too. There should be real people at registers - that in turn gives jobs to people in the community so they can support their families. 1 person to 20 self check out registers is not okay.

Overall, this is a nice grocery store, and I wish they had a larger selection of items available. It appears that a lot of young adults and families shop here, which makes sense given its convenient location in the downtown area. If you're looking to explore more shopping and dining options, there is another newer shopping area further down the street with additional stores and restaurants, less than an eight-minute drive away. Not a single person answered. To make matters worse, when messages did go through, I was repeatedly left on read. A few weeks ago, I had to waste an hour of my day driving 40 minutes out of my way to the physical store just to get basic questions answered because their customer service department is utterly non-existent (a fact that even their own front-desk worker acknowledged with total confusion and annoyance). Taking people's money and then stonewalling them when they ask simple, necessary questions about the service they paid for is negligent, amateurish, and fundamentally disrespectful.
