I've had consistently long wait times in the optical section every time I visit, and it's becoming a major deterrent. The experience feels disorganized and understaffed, which makes it difficult to want to return or make a purchase. During my most recent visit, I was interested in browsing glasses and later realized there were higher-end options, like smart glasses, in a display case, but no one mentioned them or guided me toward them. I had to figure that out on my own. When I finally found a pair I wanted to try, it took quite a while just to get someone's attention. After trying them on and deciding to move forward with a purchase, I was then told I had to wait again. In total, I waited close to an hour, and this was not even on a busy weekend. The staff present were polite and clearly doing their best, but it's obvious that two employees are not enough for the volume of customers. There needs to be better staffing or a more efficient system in place, because the current setup simply isn't working. Needless to say, I left without making a purchase and left feeling frustrated. At this point, I don't plan to return for myself or my daughters. Another major downside is the lack of any warranty on their glasses, which is important when making that kind of investment. read more

Complaint line 1-800-774-2678 if you have one. The absolute worst managed Costco I have been to. Almost always when I go there's a wait only three lines open they really never that busy just bad scheduling when ask them if they open other lines, they said they have nobody to open them. Again that's bad management scheduling this is all the time. Then it's oh let's get a scanner out there after I've been waiting like 15 minutes. They should open a line. Baskets all over the parking lot and the managers know about. The two of them just sit out there and look at all the customers like duh I know it's Buckeye, but you have to be able to find somebody better than that don't complain to them directly use this number instead if you have a complaint 1-800-774-2678 if anybody else has a better number let me know in the comments. Quality/Quantity - First stop in our 12 hour road trip. Normally we buy gas the night before, but were "partying" too much. At 6am, we were the only customer in the HUGE 40 pump location. The employee told me this is the largest location in the USA! And fairly new since 2023. Atmosphere - Cold 6am winter mornings in AZ. Again, impressed with the size of this location. Service - Good. The employee approached me as I was taking pictures and we had some small talk. But gas for me is self service. Price - $2.79, inexpensive. Much cheaper than in CA and NV! Some employees at this location either appeared to have lost their voices or lacked a basic sense of common courtesy during my visit. As I walked in, I wasn't sure whether my card scan had worked, so I politely asked the employee if it had gone through. She looked at me, then at her screen, and did not say a word. Later at the register, I kindly asked for a box. Again, the employee simply looked at me, looked down, and handed me a box without saying anything. I'm not sure what the issue was, but a simple response such as "Sure, no problem" would have been appreciated. My husband & I went in to get a membership & the lady helping us out was so sweet and helpful. If I recall, her name was Molly. She gave us so much helpful information about different type of memberships and the benefits of the credit card. We had our oldest son with us and When it was time to take our picture for our cards she asked us if he wanted to join us for our picture, which was so awesome and sweet. It the best. I can't really give a bad rating for Costco. Except for the lack of attentiveness from the counter persons at the food court. My last and only experience there was I stood there for a long time while the person who attended the cash only line took off, and no one else even acknowledged my presence or the persons behind me. I had to finally ask someone who for the longest time, ignored my presence that was putting out the kiosk order food if someone could help me. They then proceeded to go look for the cash only person, whom I noticed was too busy because they decided their cell phone was more important. By the time I got pissed off and just decided, Costco no longer deserved my food court purchase and left. But I do go back and shop and spend a lot of money on gas. read more

Normally I would rate Costco a 4 or above, *however they have made changes without letting customers know, no signs or notices. I went in this morning and ordered 2 iced coffee mochas, I stood there for over 5 minutes not hearing anyone call out my ticket number for my items. *Came to the counter and they said Costco changed their operations at the cafe and you have to place your order then stand in line to hand off the ticket to the coffee mocha person. Myself and several others were dumbfounded as well we had no idea! Not very good customer service today but now I know I can be aware and share with others!!! read more

Brand new Costco- just opened up last week. We were excited to see if there was difference, since all Costco's pretty much look the same. In general, It seemed the same, but it was still fun. I took some photos, since this is a new store. Interesting note: I expected more self check outs and less check outs staffed with employees. The cold drink dispenser was out of ice and they were out of ice cream, but this store just opened, so hopefully just temporary issue. read more

This is a great Costco! They had lots of sampling going on around 4pm on a Monday. Staff is friendly, and the store is clean and organized. This Costco has a gas station, yay! Parking was easy to find. We had a fun time strolling through each isle. Can't wait to see what else gets built up around this area. I am happy I don't have to drive so far to Costco now. read more

Costco was so helpful today! I found it to be less busy than normal, which was nice. Upon check-out, it was a bit busier so one of the employees whom helped me earlier (allowed me to open a package to ensure I wanted to purchase) did pre-check-out. This made the checkout process a lot quicker. While in line, another employee approached me about an upgraded membership. They took the time to pull up previous purchases and we both could see that I'd benefit, monetarily, from an upgrade. They escorted me to the membership area, where I was able to take temperature-sensitive items out to my car then return to finish my transaction to upgrade. All involved were so kind, helpful and understanding of my questions. Later in the day, I called to ask for dimensions for the a box containing a furniture item. They quickly responded and provided the measurements to ensure I could fit the item in my vehicle. This Costco experience, location and personnel are far and above expectation. Tina ( a cashier) was very rude and prejudice towards my family and I, threw our receipt instead of handing it to us but handed everybody else theres so nicely, paid with cash then card was very rude when we asked if we could do that. After the whole experience I asked her her name that's what she started being very nice to everybody else. Costco is a great company for anyone who likes warehouse shopping. I happen to love warehouse shopping so I have memberships here and at Sam's Club. I absolutely love and appreciate the fabulous gas pumps at this new location. Excellent in just about every way, but can I please speak to whoever designs the approaches and exits for all your gas stations? This is a problem no matter which Costco I visit. The store itself is a welcome benefit to the far west valley. The parking lot is excellent and big enough that there is always some place to park. Most of the employees here are great, a few could use an attitude adjustment, but isn't that true of anywhere? The food court people - they deserve medals! That food court is always hopping. It needed to be much bigger and again, who chose the location? Awful! too much congestion with people exiting the cash registers, trying to access the bathrooms and optical shop. Wow. Awful design. Costco needs to figure this mess out. I read another review that mentioned the fresh bakery items. Yes, that's been an ongoing problem with this store. It started earlier this year and now I am just avoiding buying anything from the bakery. It all goes moldy or stale within just a few days. I noticed that the sell by dates on the packages are typically within 24 to 72 hours of the time I am making the purchase. Well, unless I am actually feeding an army, there is no way we can consume the massive quantities of bagels and muffins. So, I have to go to Sam's club where I can buy smaller quantities at the same price. Otherwise, the store is pretty good. Everything is well stocked and clean. There are usually 3 people at the exit to help move along the carts as they are leaving. Self checkout could be smoother for the line entering the area but the greeters there are super helpful. read more

unhappy today 5/28/2025 2:45 pm checking out not many open check out lines trying to check out and get home. I have no issue with service dogs inside costco even the one that walks itself. but to day some one had to bring a puppy with a young girl into the store and tie up the line with getting the casher and others in a petting zoo and a photo shoot. its not a service dog why is it in the store. should have been stopped when entering. what happened to rules. I will say a costco employee saw what was going on and opened up the next register thank you. why is it so hard to say no. the parent should have not allowed puppy to go with, so is it ok to bring every time. can I bring my dog with out a service tag. or will you discriminate. please address. karma got me when I was loading my dog food bag it split open when placing in car, didn't have time to return had frozen food and needed to get home. don't let non service animals into costco. service animals work hard to be able to be with owner. read more

I have been a shopper at Sam's for many years but have always been told that Costco was so much better. One was finally built near me so I rushed and got a membership. I went to the store (after my primary visit) and was ever so happy to meat the SS officer guarding the door who wasn't satisfied with seeing my card insisted on seeing my face on the back. So I now had to stop and pull the card out of my wallet. Now a line had formed and I was being glared at because I was unaware that the picture was mandatory. (My Sam's card doesn't even have a picture.) As I began walking around I was amazed at how many products I wanted that they didn't carry. Hornell chili nope. Any other than original and white can Monsters. Only 1 type of men's deodorant. Shrimp 31-40 CT 32oz Costco 15.99 Safeway 10.98. I could go on and on. While their employees are super. They are friendly and helpful. But sadly in this case better treatment cannot make up for the staggering lack in variety and the prices aren't any better than a grocery store (I found almost everything was either equal or wildly overpriced to our local fry's in the meat department and if you worked out the cost per unit, the prices in the non-membership grocery stores is mostly within 1/10th of 1 tiny little cent in difference. Conclussion: Ditch this overpriced self-hyped members only douche bag store. Get a Sam's card and shop at Fry's. You won't need to stick your nose up to Verado's level and for you Southpark fans, you won't need to get high on your own farts. read more
