I visited this location on Tuesday, November 4th at 11 AM. The store is surrounded by a variety of shops and restaurants, including Michael's, Cobblestone, Denny's, Carl's Jr., Taco Bell, Starbucks, and Dollar Tree, just to name a few. It's an area where you can easily spend a few hours--or even the whole day--depending on what you're looking for. There is plenty of parking, and this Target is very large and typically well-stocked with most items you might need. However, during this visit, the self-checkout stations were unavailable, and only 2-3 cashiers were open, which caused the lines to move a bit slowly. Inside, there's a Starbucks, a hot food station by the deli, a Pizza Hut, and additional snacks located near the front of the store. A helpful tip: download the Target app to clip coupons, scan items for prices, and check for deals while you shop. read more

Bought a cooking pot from here and when we went to take the packaging off of it (figment brand) the bottom of it had chipping and paint off. My boyfriend went to return it and the employee was so rude and when she asked him what the reason was returning it for he said "there's paint chipping on the inside of it and we're now just switching to stainless steel". The employee replied to him with "why? Stainless steel burns easily". So rude, not returning to this target. read more

I visited the store today, June 7, 2026 and was surprised that they have two people on the register. No self service checkouts were open. They have lines going all the way through the aisle on both registers and there's three females one big one with tattoos all on her neck, Caucasian and just standing there in front of Customers gossiping I'm assuming the blonde girl with glasses who was price checking inventory instead of opening another Lane was probably a manager. I spoke to a customer about why she wasn't opening another lane . I've been in customer service for 28 years. Your customers are the ones who shop Target so that you can have a job in the area that you were hired for?, I was about to put my items down and go to the new target that's on Verrado Way. I truly hope that this new store doesn't get rundown like that Avondale store and now Goodyear store. Maybe Management should print these reviews and post them in the break room so that their employees can see what a horrible job they're doing. Apparently that's probably the area where they're more familiar with in the floor showroom. Do I feel like a customer is always right absolutely not but I know the game. I've worked in retail and just because you are too lazy to count down a drawer and then count it and close it at the end of the night that you don't want to put another person on a register that's ridiculous. I hope Management reads these reviews and does something about the gossiping. This is officially the worst Target I've ever been to and it's not even close. They still use express lanes instead of self check out because this store hasn't been updated yet -- which is fine, except that they are understaffed and the staff that they do have are incredibly slow. You will wait in the EXPRESS CHECKOUT line for 10 MINUTES in the afternoons because they typically run 1 express lane and maybe 2 regular lanes -- just to get a single item or a few things. The lines just keep getting longer and taking even longer to get through, which is why I feel like they've got to be understaffed -- because surely they would call 3's a crowd and bring more help up to the front end right? Well I don't think I've ever seen it happen! It's horrendous and we've been driving to the Target on Waddell in Surprise all because this one is so bad! Get your store together!! read more

We walked into the Super Target at Goodyear West for the first time excited to purchase a stanley cup I had been looking for and other items; and suddenly I came across the Wicked Tin Man Funko Pop. I spotted several on an endcap display along with elphaba and the scarecrow and headed to the register where Ms LYNETTE was the cashier around 2:45pm on November 15, 2025. That's when the experience went south. The cashier, without a hint of politeness, declared they couldn't sell it to me. I was very confused; it was right there on the shelf. Instead of explaining or trying to deescalate my growing frustration, she just repeated that it wasn't for sale. I asked to speak to a manager. Two supervisors arrived simultaneously, creating a rather intimidating presence.The female supervisor didn't even acknowledge us; she just made a comment to the cashier about letting the tech department know, snatched the Funko Pop from the cashier, and stood there looking down, not saying a single word to us. The male supervisor stayed behind, but he wasn't any help. He was rude and sarcastic, simply saying they couldn't do anything about the situation before we decided to leave, completely put off by the lack of customer service. This entire experience felt like a direct contradiction to the company's stated principles. Target's values and commitment to the consumer, which emphasize creating a welcoming experience and putting the customer first, were nowhere to be seen in that interaction. Also, the employees completely ignored the core mission to help guests "discover the joy of everyday life". Instead of following the "10-4" policy designed to ensure customers feel "safe, welcome and respected" by smiling and offering 10-4 assistance, the staff created a non-approachable environment. The incident completely failed the "Expect More. Pay Less." brand promise, as the service was subpar, and the simple act of a legitimate purchase was made impossible. The situation could have been a quick, joyful transaction, but the team's actions demonstrated a complete disregard for the ethical choices and accountability outlined in the Target Code of Ethics. I've been frequenting this location quite a bit even though it it so much farther from my home. My Target is always such a miss in many levels. Service sucks typically and I leave more empty handed than not. Like everywhere these days prices are escalating and I am more smart with my purchases. This location is always clean, well organized, easy to find what I'm looking for and I've never had a bad service experience. There are great selections in so many products. The parking lot, while fairly busy with multiple other stores nearby is pretty easy to navigate and find a spot to park. There is also a Starbucks inside and even still a snack bar which most Targets need to lack these days. read more

The more things change, the more things stay the same. I recently had switched RX insurance, so I wasn't using the CVS location here. By default, I wasn't shopping here either. Things had gotten better since my first review, but I hadn't been here for awhile. I decided to come back and pick up some items, and after today, I'm just not coming back to Target. I couldn't find certain items that were usual mainstays (poloshirts, sportswear), and this location still can't fix the cashier problem. When I did finally get to check out, I later saw that the cashier 'forgot' to scan the discounted meat products. So, I had to go to Customer Service just to get those items adjusted. Then, when I got home, I discovered that the cashier overcharged me for Temptations cat food. Really? I'm sorry, Target. Sorry for trusting your sorry excuse for a company. I'm done. These TARGET store is not managed as it should be. The floor is always dirty, shoes all over the isle. Restrooms is inhuman, no employee is in charge, every time I notice the stalls were filthy, and yesterday 3 of the 4 stalls were not flushed, tissues on the floor, out of hand soap. Are those high level executives are getting more greedy so they even cut employees hours and cleaning supplies to get more bonuses? read more

I have been to every Target within a 10 mile radius. The amount of lines open at this one is disastrous whether it is 10 am or 8 pm. They only have ever had 4 (including 10 or less), for over the year that I have gone. I'm not sure what manager is in charge, but you're only going to make your employee's more exhausted and have higher turnover by not opening more lanes. read more

I loved that there were many options when it came to gifts for a little boy but My main issue was with my cashier, not only was she completely rude but she was so busy shoving us out of her line so she could check out her friends but she was complaining to her friends who were behind us about how she hadn't had a break and she was due to be off in less than 30 minutes. There was no did you find everything okay or no time for questions which I did have. She threw our stuff in bags and shoved the receipt in our direction. This is is the second time I attempted to shop at Target. They have zero self checkout and a line twenty deep and few actual checkout for less than 20 items. I shopped and left without buying anything as the line was too deep with over a dozen of registers closed. I left and tracked to another target with self checkout and folks working. The size of this Target is impressive and it's right down the road from me, but it's has some serious problems with the checkout lines. It's a brand new store with zero self-checkout while the majority of the checkout stands sit empty. I have waited in line here for 45 minutes at times and have had to wait at least 15 minutes in line no matter what time of day it is. With 20 checkout stands, it's typical to see only 4 open at a time with people in line wrapped around the store, especially in the 'express' line. A better shopping experience is the only thing that separates Target from Wal-Mart, yet this store's manager seems to have misunderstood that. read more

This Target is terrible. It's two minutes from my home and I do whatever I can to to somewhere else instead. There are constantly long lines and only 2 or 3 cashiers working and nobody seems to care they there are often 5+ people in line. If you refuse to adequately staff cashiers then put in some self checkout lanes. read more

The folks that work at the Starbucks in this target continue to maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude. The line for this Starbucks gets very busy and they work effortlessly to maintain order and flow. I applaud them for Always doing a great a job! read more

Back here having our Friday shopping routine with the kids. You know there is always something you need at home and of course you know Target has it but you end up with 20 other things in your shopping cart. Today I was excited to look at their Halloween decorations. My family is big on this celebration. We always go all out. So it's great to see that Target has really stepped up on their decor. Not just skulls and pumpkins. It was awesome stuff. Kids and I always have a theme even for Halloween, so I think we've found exactly what we need. We have a kids costume party and a separate adults only party and we can find most everything we need this year here. I'll probably only have to go to one other store. Love it. read more

The service was horrible, after talking to an employee he said that the two items I bought would qualify me for the gift card you get when you buy more than 75$ in product he said it was after tax, mind you they came to 74.98 before tax and I verified before going to check out. I bought the largest pack of diapers and largest pack of wipes to pay over 80$ and find out that it was a lie. This Target is in need of self check-out. The lines are too long, and they never have enough clerks. You're lucky if two registers are open. There are at least 8 unused registers! I avoid this location now, and I hate the atmosphere of the nearest one, which is Litchfield Rd & McDowell. That location isn't a Super Target, so it doesn't carry nearly as much as Cotton Ln., and the carts need replacing. read more

Target lets these sales people from mobile phone companies accost their customers back by electronics. It's very annoying to be harassed by aggressive sales people when you're just trying to shop. I find myself having to strategically navigate the aisles back there to avoid these people. read more

I don't bother with Pick Up anymore because it always gets pushed back hours when I'm unavailable. They store is clean and the employees are typically friendly. My biggest problem with this store is that fact that I end up leaving a bag there EVERY. TIME. I have to go back either later or the next day to find whatever it is I'm missing. The reason this happens is I have small children, so when we are all set and paid for, I'm trying to manage them while putting my groceries in the cart. The checker always starts with the next person right away and I always feel rushed out of there and bombarded by the next person's orders. PLEASE if you're going to rush the person in line, help them out their bags away or check to make sure nothing is left! I lose my mind when I get home looking for items only to realize they're not there. Sometimes I don't have the time or energy to go back so I just say "forget it", and here I am wasting my money. Also, and this is not an issue with our store- but Target in general listen up! Having to scan every item that you shop for to make sure you are getting the most fair deal Is a scam in itself! Make online products and in store products the SAME price! When an employee told me this AFTER I purchased batteries for Christmas, I realized I could have saved $10 on one item. Third time getting expired milk with my drive up tried calling the store and of course no one answers, it's annoying more than anything having to go to the store twice since they can't get it right the first time. Janice who is a trainer at guest services assisted with my return and made a small error which she immediately attempted to correct and honor the guest (me) for the inconvenience. She needed assistance from a manager, Jackie then arrived to help and had and "oh well" kind of attitude toward the situation even though it was a mistake made on target's behalf. Jackie offered no apology for the error and Janice insistently inquired about rectifying the issue to make matters right again. Jackie on the other hand, much different attitude and made me feel turned off by the encounter. I traveled quite far to encounter the supertarget experience and I must say, I think management has some room for growth here. read more

After seeing all of the recent changes in other Targets, this is by far the best in the west valley. -They have kept their produce AND bakery section. -They kept their Target Cafe. -They have a Starbucks inside the store too. -Everything is in stock all the time. -Online ordering is still a breeze. Shipper lied that they couldn't find my residence although they delivered here a week ago. Target never sent confirmation. Their customer service email and phone is despicable. There was a problem with the payment but Aheem (sorry if misspelled) swooped in to assist.
