I enjoy visiting this Fry's. Huge and spacious. Always clean. This is a super sized location! They offer a little bit extra of everything. If I can't find something I like to go here. In the evenings it is super quiet and you almost have the entire store to yourself. Employees still wear masks at this location. If you are high risk or like to play it extra safe this is a great location. read more

Most employees are wonderful.. store is clean. There is 1 employee who works self checkout who is the most unfriendly, almost disrespectful person... she looks miserable but purposely moves at a snails pace and deliberately doesnt want to help out. read more

A Kroger store in a Sun City West could show some humanity by providing covered parking. It's terribly depressing to see some of the very elderly customers struggle to get to the their vehicle in the vast black top waste land. It's 112 degrees today and the heat will continue. The store may not be so empty if Kroger /Frys showed concern for their customers. read more

Don't shop here very often due to high prices. The real issue is their employees who always look mad, when ask them a question it is like an inconvenience for them to answer you. I was in this location checking out at self serve and woman looked mad and upset I even ask for her assistance. I was there between 3:30p to 4:00p. Employees at this location are not happy at all anytime I do go there . Maybe the company needs to check the managers out and the way they treat the employees. It really is sad. There is a definite problem at this location. read more

This place was packed with people. We got a lot of good deals. A lot of things that we needed. We're not from the area so when we went to check out, we realized that we didn't have a card for the items that were on sale. We needed a card or an app or something like that, and we didn't have it, the cashier was nice enough knowing that we were here for a funeral that she let us use the discount that she had that was really nice of her. Will definitely come back to Fry's. read more

Staff is efficient and helpful. I just wish someone would answer the phone and tell me the hours of the customer service desk. The info wasn't on the website. I had to drive down to the store and take a picture of the hours sign. Hours are 8-8 daily for those who need to know. read more

This is no normal Fry's--more akin to a Whole Foods in many ways, which is exactly why I was there. I found out this location had a Murray's cheese counter. It turned out this counter is larger and even more stocked--not just with cheese, but accompaniments and accessories--than the other Murray's-endowed Fry's I visit in Litchfield Park. I happened to visit on a day when some of those cheeses and accompaniments were on clearance, too. SCORE! This store is a long way from me, but I still hope to visit every few months, just for the cheese. read more

Great grocery store with everything you need at any time. Love the fuel points also!!!!

Frys. It's a grocery store. When it first opened it was really good. Despite the disastrous parking lot and the very unorganized layout of the store, it had (Note the past tense) a fantastic deli. In fact I used to say frys deli was the best in scw. Their produce USED to be the best produce in scw. And also the most expensive... Idk what happened but none of that is true today, except the cost of produce. I know that scw is a secondary market but the other grocers in town seem to have better selections at better prices. Getting back to the deli: what happened to the Asian food bar? What happened to the teriyaki chicken bowls? What happened to the quality and well made deli sandwiches? As it is now, there is only one grocery item that I need that I have to get at frys. If they stop carrying that, then I have absolutely no use for that place, and I'll edit my review to one star. Lastly: not one week ago my mother had stuff stolen out of her car in broad daylight while parked in their lot. I mentioned that to a group of locals and suddenly a lot of people on that group were saying the same thing. Watch out if you go there. There are homeless people checking for unlocked car doors roaming around that nobody can seem to catch. read more

I had to return a piece of steak because it was bad ... the girl behind coustomer service Sabrina was a nightmare! Unprofessional.. Ill mannered!! She called for mgr manny? She was in n out.. Who try to find it but couldn't as to what Sabrina said.. pay.. payroll mgr !!!! Super job!! Nice polite , addressed the problem n solved it! Sabrina Threw the pen and paper at me when a mgr found my receipt .....This girl should not be in customer service!!! She is rough n has an ugly personality plus she just don't care! Miss Sabrina as I spoke to you n said take this and learn from it ...but you just turn away so I guess again you just don't care. How many times are you giving customers the wrong feedback on frys store? You are differently not representing in a positive way for Frys. Live and learn or get kicked to the side. read more

Fry's - Grocery Near Me - Sun City West, Arizona

Visited Fry's in Sun City West. Tried to use my card at the self checkout stand but the machine wouldn't accept my card unless I entered my PIN. The attendant and I tried inserting, swiping and scanning a debit card but still, the machine wouldn't accept it. Oddly, I used this card twice earlier this same day with no problems but my attempt at Fry's was useless. Attendant told me I have to enter the PIN and again, I told her I never do that. Then, the reason given was a problem with the card.....there was no problem. I left the groceries, walked-out and went down the street to Basha's-- no problem with the same card so I finished shopping there. Suggest Fry's review their software/hardware and fix this problem so a person can use the insert, swipe or tap feature. read more

Never have I been to a wine bar at a Fry's, but today was so much fun with Kevin serving us. Sampled five different wines. Suggestion might be to actually have a price of the wines posted. One of them I couldn't even find on the app but Kevin got the price. I'm much better way to start our experience when shopping is really not fun anyways. read more

I really love this grocery store! There are many great things about this one! The employees are friendly and helpful! The store is generally well stocked and has a wide variety of items for sale. You name it, they pretty much have it! The location is in Sun City West, which is where a lot of retirees and snowbirds flock to. Out front, there are a number of spaces for golf cart cars. How nice and accommodating! TIP: This particular store will give a military discount, just ask! Fry's Stores are under the Kroger parent company. I am from California and we have Ralphs, which is also under Kroger. Your rewards card number works here just the same. Another benefit is that you can use your fuel points at the Fry's Gas Stations! I have enough points to save 30cents off every gallon when I fill up my tank. Love it! Inside of this Fry's is a Starbucks, a Deli and a hot food area as well as a place that makes & packages Sushi for on the go. There is also a place which serves Bowls & Sushi Burritos. AND, for the drinkers out there, there is a spot just for you! There is like a bar for you to sit at, or tables within a certain area for imbibing. You can purchase beers or wines and sit with friends and just relax or even drink while your spouse is shopping. I think it is a pretty cool thing! I still have some aisles to discover, but from what I've seen and bought, it just about has anything you'd want in a grocery store! I enjoy shopping here! read more

So unpredictable. Never know if their bar area, Murray's, will be open or not. Sorry way to run a railroad!

Prerequisite for pharmacy employee is to have a bad attitude. Everyone is the same. Crabby and grumpy. Nothing pleasant at all.

Whenever you try a new store, you never know where anything is. We were approached by by a number of employees who noticed our clueless faces and all were able to point us to exactly what we could not find. NICE! They have Boar's Head Brand cold cuts at competitive prices. NICE! The lady at the deli counter was friendly and pointed us to the imported cheese counter where I was able to get some tasty aged Asiago. NICE! They have an counter where you can purchase already prepared meals at a very reasonable price. And that is.... NICE! read more

I LOVE this store and have had nothing but EXTREMELY positive employee/customer service interactions until last night. Hey Fry's, it's OBVIOUS that Mari doesn't like her job, so maybe put her in a position where she doesn't have to help us idiots at self-checkout, because she is downright mean. High kudos to the lady working the customer service desk today (012822) around 2 pm, who made good on a $20 screw-up of Mari's. (Your name-tag was skewed, otherwise I'd love to praise you by name.) This rating would have been a '5' if not for Mari last night. Normally when we are in there, we have nothing but good things to say about you; checkers are fantastic, stockers are helpful, and clean-up staff made me feel better with humor when I broke a jar of garlic at self-checkout. Keep it up guys... it makes a difference. read more

One thing I always look for in a grocery store is this it clean? the store was very clean. The other thing is the staff, the staff were very friendly and helpful and they were all wearing masks. I would recommend getting the VIP card that gives you a discount when you scan some of your items. They were working on making sure everything looked well stocked and orderly. The vegetables seem to be plentiful and for a typical family grocery store that seemed like they had a fair selection of organic items. They also had grass-fed beef and bacon that was uncured. They also have some individually prepped items which are good for a senior that may want to not have to prepare everything. They even have some Frozen organic items which were particularly of interest to me. They had the typical selection of soda pop but with the added twist of having individual sodas available that were made with cane sugar that I enjoy. I've been when it's been crowded and not crowded and the line through the checkout area has always been fast. It's a complete grocery store with about everything that you could want. read more

This Fry's has the rudest employees in the deli of any Fry's I've ever been to. Their chicken guy argues with you and tells you to go get the chicken off the islands. Personally I love Fry's chicken and look forward to going in and waiting until a fresh batch comes out of the fryer. That won't happen at this Fry's. The chicken guy won't give you the fresh stuff; he will tell you the chicken on the island is just as fresh - it's not. I'm tired of getting cold, greasy chicken. I'm looking for a different store. Anyone know where you get hot fresh supermarket chicken? read more

The pharmacist refused to fill my prescription because I was not a regular customer at that pharmacy. I just moved to the area so not sure how I can be a regular when it's my first time! I see all of these Fry's commercials about how they have "fresher than fresh" produce. That is certainly not my experience at their store on RH Johnson. More often than not, and we shop every week, we end up throwing at least part if not all away. How about you? The only thing I've experienced that's fresh in Fry's are the employees stocking the shelves and blocking the aisles. One lady almost ran me down with her cart of boxes. Another was blocking the area we wanted to get to and when I asked him to move he said I'll be done in a minute so go get something else and when you get back I'll be done. We had a grocery store in the east called Wegman's who actually trained their people to put the customer first. Imagine that!!! Fresher than fresh my foot! read more

The two stars is for the cashiers. Fry's doesn't hire enough baggers to bag your food, and you have to bag your own groceries. I was bagging A LOT of groceries. The cashier was done scanning, stood there while I'm bagging (didn't help finish) and says,"Waiting on you to pay." What?! I'm doing her job, and she has the nerve to tell me she's waiting on me?!Other times when there's a bagger or not, the cashiers finish processing, the bagger or customer is still bagging, and the cashiers just stand there...waiting...like it's beneath them to bag. It's ridiculous. read more

Now that the state and county have rescinded the mask wear mandate and the Rec Centers of Sun City West have now dropped the masking requirement, how about taking down the "masks required" sign at the main entrance? Please let your customers, as responsible adults, make that decision for ourselves. If people feel safer wearing them, they can certainly do so. But a lot of your customers have been fully vaccinated, don't believe masks are effective anyway, cases are way down, and survivability is up around the 98-99% mark. Please make it optional. read more

I've been shopping at grocery stores for the last 55 years, and this is the best one, by far, I've ever been in! In fact, there is a Fry's food store much closer to my home in Surprise, but I enjoy going to this one because it is clean, inviting, and the aisles are always wide and uncluttered. The workers are always friendly and helpful! For me, the biggest advantage is the fleet of motorized shopping carts that are always neatly parked and charged. As a person with mobility limitations, I am always assured that a cart will be available for me. Of course, the variety of products is numerous, and above average. The prices are reasonable and it is delightful to have free Wi-Fi, a full-fledged Starbucks with an indoor/outdoor eating area, and even a wine bar to qualify this as an upscale grocery store! It is not only a pleasure, but fun to shop here! read more

Great store...but what happened to the cashiers using hand sanitizer between customers?

well, I always love Fry's..and I realized I haven't done a single review of any of their store yet! my bad! hehe. I've been living here in the US of A for about 5 years now...not that long...but in my first year here, since I was new to the place, I normally just go shop with hubzky at the other competitor that starts with letter "W" ;-) which we still do once in while, depending on what we need.. Until I learned how to drive, and then I get to go everywhere, I pick whatever store that suits my liking! LOL. Fry's, grocery wise, is for me the best! I especially love their produce section! All of those colorful fruits and veggies that are soo enticingly waving at me, waiting for me to grab them and shoot them into my cart! Hehe. And ohh those flowers too! They're always lovely and fresh! I love how they keep the store really tidy..you have plenty of space to turn around grabbin whatever you need at the moment.. For my fruits and veggies, this store is definitely my to go place! And of course all the sections are definitely great... They always have good deals here as compare to other stores! Which I really like! And not to mention the fuel points too. And what's cool about this store over here, is that they have Murray's Cheese counter!! So nice! And All those divinely delicious cheese that I sooo love to devour! AND..one more point this store has, is that they have MOCHI!! @_@ For those that don't know, mochi is a soft, pounded sticky rice dumpling with an ice cream filling. You should try them! Ohh they're just soo yummylicious good!!!^_^ And their staffs here are lot friendlier as well! They're very much cheerful and so willing to assist if you need help with anything...and answer whatever question you have....even the question: "What's the meaning of life?" Their reaction always amuses me! Hehe ^_^ Well, my husband always pops that question up all the time anywhere especially every time a staff asks us. So, I joined the number of the many regular shoppers here who also love this place.. This branch over here is highly recommended!!! ;-) read more
