Trader Joe's has always been a specialty grocery store I look forward to visiting. They seem to have gotten the reputation of being overpriced which I find to not be true at all. I can find my basic dairy, grains, produce and meats here for a good price, and shop for organic or health trend, and fun seasonal and specialty items for food, pets, sundries, the home, and gifts. They even have custom gift cards here for ~$1. Their floral selection is excellent with low prices. One thing that I do find has been true of Trader Joe's is the small parking lots. Luckily for us customers, they seem to be changing that lately. This location in Surprise on Grand has a large private, shared parking lot. There's a coffee grinder available if you want to grind your whole beans, restrooms for customers, a find-the-hidden-object game for kids, and stickers for kids. The checkers and staff at Trader Joe's are famously friendly and encouraged to wear quirky attire. Each register has a large brass bell to ring for assistance. End caps and posters are displayed using artsy chalk script with illustrations. Each store is customized for its geographical location. This is just a fun and unique place to supplement your normal grocery haul or pick up a gift. Beware - it gets crazy busy during holidays so plan ahead. read more

We probably don't think about review grocery stores but I have to give TJs a shout! Yesterday when I went into the store everything I needed was there and more. I appreciate the easy layout of the store and the friendly staff. The highlight is the pasture raised heirloom chicken! You can call and ask a question, ask for assistance in-store and they are willing to help how ever they can with kindness. The check outs are the fastest in town. You think others would catch on?!?!? They are always bringing in wonderful new products. They get better every year. They buyers really do such a great job! Mother's Day is their busiest day of the year. With beautiful flowers at such a great price, you can't help but flock here. Our girls get sticker pox every time they visit. A lot of options for our limited diets. I love their nitrate free bacon! Trader Joe's is the best it's my go to place for groceries as I'm never disappointed and I can get everything I need there.

If I could give zero stars I would I always go to this location with my younger sisters and today was the last there was human poop all over the bathroom walls different colors which is very unsanitary but that's not even my reason for leaving this review one of my sisters stood in line at one of the checkout lanes with only a few things, another lady decided to cut in front of her with a cart. my sister politely said "Sorry I'm in line" the lady immediately snapped at her. the cashier laughed it off with the lady that cut in-front of her and we thought that'd be the end of that instead the cashier decided to talk bad about my sister to the other customer in-front of her she immediately made her way to the car because she was embarrassed like who does that what type of mannerisms and human decency do you have I addressed the situation with the manager with my mom from what it seems nothing is going to be addressed about the situation VERY unprofessional C'MONNN TRADER JOE's .... read more

I love this place! Up in the Bay Area I had one near my house about 5 min down the street.. Here I have to drive from The Wigwam all the way up 303 just to come here. I don't make it as often as I'd like but I prefer this place over Sprouts. I enjoy their seasonal items, their sauces are great and especially some of their Asian sauces/dips and foods. I love their TJ's marinara sauce. It's delicious and I don't have to Dr. it up like I do with many other sauces or when I'm starting from only tomato sauce from Costco. So that is a nice touch when we are super busy with practices for my 3 boys during the weeknights. They also have my favorite coconut strips!! Love love them! I always stock up when I do make it to TJ's!! I usually always leave with some fresh flowers as well. This time did not change in that aspect. :). Got some beautiful eucalyptus ANd baby's breath! Will be using for decor right now and in a couple weeks for my sister's baby shower/ birthday I'm throwing her. I always have amazing service here! Something I'm huge on. It's great to come in and have a smile headed in your direction or to smile at someone else and it's reciprocated. Very friendly here. My boys love the mini carts when they come along with me. Store is always clean and well stocked! Plus they have a great selection of wine and beers! I no longer drink but when I did I would always come see what they had or what was local- I love good wine and some micro brews. I'd definitely recommend this place. A very friendly Customer Service experience as always at this Chain. I have lived the longer part of my life in Eastern Washington but currently reside in Western Washington and must say I am envious that this immediate area of Arizona has many more Trader Joe's then either area I have lived in Washington. There are now 2 locations in Spokane, on the West Side I have a few to choose from but they are approximately an hours drive each way. I would certainly frequent them much more often if the travel wasn't so time consuming. However, I appreciate the atmosphere, love the quality, prices, and certainly the friendly, even fun service. Christmas Seasonal inventory is by far my favorite; New to me last year 2021, are the 'Dressed Up Mango's.' The best part about them is the thickness of the Mango.' Mug Hangers, a crunchy, spiced cute, delicious treat are a close 2nd. A product I had not tried before this year was the Taste Test of Caramels. They are tasty but to me they seem more like a box of chocolates than caramels? You get a lot, a dozen for I think $6.99. To be continued. . . read more

Is owned by the same people that own Aldis, family owned from Germany.  Their company has had a long commitment to organic food and reasonably priced food. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working.  The staff I encountered were all friendly and helpful. I think they have some great values and their fresh squeezed Orange juice and their fresh squeezed  grateful juice are outstanding values.  They also have fresh pieces of grapefruit that are in water and cane sugar. They have lots of good looking vegetables and fruit.  They also have lots of frozen food especially vegetables, potatoes and main dishes other things like French Onion soup, chicken and pork wraps that a person of the person age can use a little bit at a time.  They have organic yogurt, Organic milk, almond milk all the kinds of things you would find with a Whole Foods or a sprouts. Mostly, you have to shop at several different places to get everything that you want. They have a great selection of wine as well. It is a complete grocery store. read more

Everyone here is SO NICE. I come in early afternoons because it's slower and my kids are ALWAYS looking for the anteater stuffed animal thing, Barnaby! My son always cries when he sees it and can't take it home ‍ everyone is always very kind and pleasant and has even offered to help me out with the groceries to my car. (I haven't heard anyone ask that since I was a little kid!) Trader's has always been our favorite but I appreciate the employees here so much. My Mom has been raving about Trader Joe's when she lived in Minneapolis which was years ago. I finally moved to Arizona and since they're out here, she's been asking since, like, the day I got here if I've made it out to Trader Joe's yet. I finally did. It's a fairly small store, terribly busy but there is a wide selection of everything. Things you didn't even know you needed or wanted, yet, they have it. Diced, dried, sweetened coconut? ...don't mind if I do! Despite it being very busy, the store was very clean, the shelves were well stocked and the check out lanes moved way faster than they ever would on Wal-Mart's best day. Employees are friendly, courteous and they know where stuff is so do not hesitate to ask. I personally them escort a couple of customers during my visit to products. This may come as a shock to some, but I'd never been in a Trader Joe's until today. I know, crazy right? Talking to my friends I think I'm the last person on Earth to not check it out ha ha . Seriously though, todays visit was great. I stopped in the Surprise location to see what I could find. The parking lot is large and shared with businesses including Texas Roadhouse. Walking in to the store I was greeted with rows of the most beautiful flowers. So many assortments to choose from. It smelled lovely. The store itself is fairly small. I thought it was adorable they offer carts for kids while the adults have one of their own. Great way to have the kids feel like they are part of the shopping experience. Right away I found so many things I wanted to try. The store was clean and organized. I loved the selection of salads, sandwiches and wraps to go, especially since I hadn't had lunch yet. I chose a turkey apple cheddar sandwich on a multigrain rustico roll, yum! Very fresh and delicious. Pricing was fair considering the freshness and healthy items you can buy. Service was nice and my cashier friendly and helpful. All in all I'd definitely come back. read more

Stopped in to see if they had the gluten free stuffing mix I love - and they did! Yay! I purchased 3. We are ready for thanksgiving. We also use the stuffing mix as croutons (sounds weird - but you can use the dry pieces in soup and it tastes just like croutons haha- try it!). This gluten free stuffing mix makes for some pretty legit stuffing, so try it if you haven't! My sister picked up the brookies and I got the gluten free cinnamon coffee cake muffins to try. So excited to try those with some hot coffee in the morning! Always have my eyes open for a good GF pastry to pair with my coffee. Left Trader Joe's with my stuffing and more! Food selection is great but they really really need self Checkout. Being asked personal questions at the checkout gets kind of creepy and slows down checking out. My plans for the day are my business - it's unsafe to share private info in a public place.. Also, the questions prevent people from watching the prices while they're checking out. read more

Check out is always a hassle and now they think it's funny when their readers don't work And use the opportunity to humiliate you when of course it's the card reader. I love Trader Joe's. They always have a selection of beautiful flowers which makes it easy to just pop in to pick some up as a gift, or to display on the table during the Holidays. I'm very impressed by how Trader Joe's is handling safety and precautions due to the pandemic. They limit the number of people in store, require mask wearing, and seem to be diligent about having disinfected carts available. Mainly though, the variety of different and unique foods is a big draw as to why we occasionally drive a little farther to come here to stock up. I love the everything but the bagel Greek yogurt dip, hold the cone mini ice creams, dolmas, and frozen veggie nests to name a few. However, there is always some new and interesting food item to try here. read more

Went to the Surprise & Glendale store to find my FAV Reduced Guilt kettle cooked potato chips and was told "production delay" and won't be available until sometime in September. Also never see nut milk that combines almond and coconut from Blue Diamond that is available at some other grocery stores including Sprouts. Please consider including this flavor. read more

Always Friendly Staff I don't visit Trader Joe's as often as I like however, I do go once in a while when I want something new. The store was well stocked and clean. The fresh fruits and vegetables always look great. One of my favorites is the fresh section of Ready-to-Eat goods such as wraps, salads, and potato salad. My most recent favorite is the chicken and vegetable wonton soup, its light, refreshing, and flavorful. The tellers & other employees are always very helpful & congenial. Excellent fresh produce, canned and packaged goods that will delight, beer and wine (remember 2 Buck Chuck?) but their frozen food isle has the interesting stuff, Tiramisu, Asian delicacies and spanakopita! This is a good place for grocery shopping. The meats are pricy so I have only tried the lamb. The rest is top notch and a large variety.
