I visited this location about a week ago. The grocery store is conveniently located in downtown Fort Worth, with several restaurants and parks nearby. They do have a parking lot on the side of the building, or you can look for street parking in the middle section near CVS and the other restaurants. The service I received was very kind and friendly. A young gentleman assisted me with checking out an item I was holding and entering my phone number for the rewards program. I really appreciated his helpfulness and friendly customer service. Overall, this is a nice grocery store, and I wish they had a larger selection of items available. It appears that a lot of young adults and families shop here, which makes sense given its convenient location in the downtown area. If you're looking to explore more shopping and dining options, there is another newer shopping area further down the street with additional stores and restaurants, less than an eight-minute drive away. Overall, a convenient grocery store with friendly service and a great location. I would definitely like to see them expand their product selection! read more

Decided to have my gender reveal cake done here since I had my other daughter's first birthday cake done by Carmen last year. I have previously left a 5 star review of a mermaid cake and we were very happy with it. I asked for a very simple design in the picture shown, again by Carmen. On the day of pick up, I received this cake with terrible writing and black seeping into the cake. Spoke to the manager and they said they had no cake decorator on the weekends to fix the writing. Very upsetting as we had to set this cake out for my gender reveal party. We won't be using Bashas again for any cakes. Highly suggest scheduling a cake decorator on the weekends to fix problems, especially since people have their parties on the weekends. read more

This Bashas' is the downtown market for Verrado. It's medium size and is very handy for the golf cart crowd here and at nearby Victory. I don't think you could do a full grocery shop here, but there's always opportunities for more wine, cheese, and even Sushi. I was here the other day for some of that as Gayle and I were family guests and we were more than happy to contribute to household groceries. At the same time, I guess I expected a little more, like higher quality baked goods and a better selection of snack food like crackers. read more

Being a Chicago Native where there are several of these stores. I stop in "here and there" on my lunch break. Customer service is hit and miss. They talk to me as if I'm lost. I usually buy Hot food to go, But today I ordered what seemed to be a turkey bacon on jalapeno bagel. No bagels, gave me a couple of bread options, only to get the most stale marble bread they had. Great little store off Main Street in Verrado. Has everything you need from a grocery store. We've stopped by on the way home after having dinner at one of our fave restaurants across the street. It's accessible and everyone you meet is so friendly. The other day I stopped by to grab some pastries while waiting for my daughter to finish her after school club in Verrado and it worked out. They seem to have expanded on all their options. I like that they are just a few blocks away from my kids school. The pastries were yummy too. Bashas has always been a beautiful store no matter what location, but this one has them all beat. It's settled perfect in the community of Verrado. It's not your typical free standing location and it was even hard to tell it was a grocery store at first because it was so cute with lofts above it. Right when I walked in it smelled amazing thanks to the bakery. It was so small compared to other locations but fit perfect where it is. It makes you feel like you're in a small town grocery. The meat market had not only great deals, but the meat looked amazing and high quality. They even have a fresh sushi bar and outside seating which all seemed so popular. I could envision myself living in this community. So thought out, great walking areas, restaurants and coffee close by. Only downfall was I wish I lived in this community lol. read more

I really appreciate the location with its convenience for Verrado residents. unfortunately they do not carry many organic vegetables. I would also like to see dairyfree options for yogurt, icecream and cheese.( follow your heart, ben and Jerry and field Roast are just a few great products Safeway carries. or even just one dairy free option. I have asked many times and can never get in touch with the purchaser. I love that this location marks down produce but I would love to see them put it in a location where patrons can pick their vegetables and fruits. It doesn't make much sense to put apples in with onions. Or bananas in with potatoes. If you're going to bag up vegetables for $.99 my recommendation would be to put all onions in one bag all apples in another all bananas read more

The store manager seems to be good-hearted, but the manager in the breakfast area needs adjustment in her attitude when dealing with customers. The breakfast was $5.99 with no difference, but now they want to charge for having sausage gravy over the eggs. Now that breakfast that was 5.99 turned into $ 7.50. I live near Basha's and drive the extra few miles to Frys because the customer service is awful! On multiple occasions my family and I have been refused service because they are "under staffed". The workers would not serve ice cream to kids on a Friday after school that was 84 degrees. Extremely disappointing, frustrating and unacceptable. read more

In the 10 years we have lived in the area we have spent $1000's of dollars at this store and today I was getting cream out of the back of milk cooler ( because what I needed was on sale and the front was sold) and some how a sm glass jar fell out and broke all over. I assume the young man that came with a mop was a manager and he was so rude I apologized more than once and he said nothing and did not look at me at all. Usually the associates there are very friendly. This guy was not! Also had to have help at the self check and that manager was very nice. This is a neighborhood joint that stocks the essentials plus a few extras, and won't gouge you when you're desperate for a few items to get you through the week. We've purchased from almost every department of the store at one time or another, and while we often stop in for an items or two, we rarely do our larger shopping trips here, as we prefer a larger selection than this smaller grocer can provide. Stop in for a last minute loaf of bread, or lunch on the go from the deli or the sushi counter, maybe bring the kiddos for some ice cream when the weather gets warm. I love our little store i get all my groceries here. People think it's going to be more expensive to shop here but it's not. I'm a single mom on a budget and i coupon a lot. I have found that the sales at bashas are better thank fry's or safeway or Walmart. And the quality is by far better. The managers are great the cashiers and managers call me by my name. This is understandable given the smaller size of this grocery store. Three star prices. On occasion, there will be a good deal. But overall, the prices are a bit higher than other larger chains. The worst cashiers I have ever dealt with. I walked up to the registers with a few items. The cashier said "I can take whoever is ready". Since I was the only one up there I walk over to her. When I got to her register she say in a condescending tone "I wasn't actually talking to you. I was talking to her" and points to a lady who is no where near the registers. I said "excuse me?". We've been going to this Bashas' for many years. It's a neighborhood grocery store, similar to a Walmart neighborhood store but smaller, not a full-size store because the neighborhood population didn't support that when it was built. I'm not sure it even does at this point, but I suspect it's getting there. The employees have been friendly and helpful for the most part in my experience. I suppose there's almost always at least one dud wherever you go. The staffing could be improved at times, particularly in the bakery. The bakery manager, though, is terrific. She's done cake or cupcakes for several of our kids' birthdays, and she does beautiful work. She's even been willing to create things not in "the book" and does so willingly and happily. I've taken multiple pictures in, asking her to recreate them, and I've been very pleased with her work. The staff have become familiar faces in this little store, just like in my small hometown, so that's nice. The prices in general can run a little high, and we usually only shop there if something is on sale that we want, most often produce, or if we need something in a pinch, like milk or bread. It's also good for a last-minute pizza for dinner, though the wait for that is getting longer. The wine selection is impressive for the store's size. The homemade soups are tasty, especially the lasagna one. Truly awesome! Hopefully it will be full service one day. read more
