I was very impressed with the variety, freshness, and flavor of the food here. The sheer volume of vegetarian options was a pleasant surprise. Service was quick and friendly, and I love what they've done to the space. The murals are a really nice touch. I'm excited to go back and try more of what they have to offer.

Tajmahal Premium beer, Chilli Paneer

Nice patio and indoor seating with full service bar. We went on a December Sunday afternoon (~2:30PM), so it was not very crowded, which is good, if you travel with kids Ordered daal makhani , garlic naan, plain dosa (all great tasting) and jehangir kebab, chili paneer (was ok). The serving staff is polite and patient. This is a great stop for Indian food, especially if you are in transit and crossing Phoenix via i10. The restaurant is barely 2 mins from i10 exit.

Gobi Manchurian & Samosa

Visited Aroma India while in Phoenix for work based on the reviews and it did not disappoint! We chose to eat outside under the shaded cover and the ambiance was nice and relaxing. The food itself was really good!! A friend and I shared samosas and gobi manchurian while we waited for our non-vegetarian lunch special to go. Everything was absolutely delicious!

The food was so well done and great portions! I asked for a level 3 spice and it was perfect with a kick to it. Mango Lasi was also great. The service from all the workers was so kind and attentive to our table, I appreciate all the waitress and waiters. Ambiance is great- the music played was good volume and able to dance and enjoy the night.

Butter chicken and roti

Great butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Go with the spice level 4. Trust me! :) every time I'm come back here they redo something on their patio. Now there's a cool bamboo roof with string lights. Love that

Garlic Naan

I ordered a chicken tikka masala and some garlic naan. The food was very good and was the perfect temperature when I got home at the time that I ate it. You don't have to order rice in addition to the chicken tikka masala if that's what you order, which is nice. I am glad that this is the case because it was a little more than what I was expecting to spend. However, I do think that the price was okay for dinner. Another note that I will offer about the food is that they do allow you to customize the spice levels, which is nice. The service was more than I had ever expected, especially for just having placed a to go order. They allowed me to sit inside the restaurant while I waited for my food, noted that I was waiting on my order so that it would come out in a reasonable time, and also offered me a to go water while I was waiting. The containers that my food came in are honestly ones that I could reuse. The ambience of the restaurant is also nice. There is a nice patio with different types of seating to accommodate all needs. The inside has a nice bar and they have music playing at a volume that allows you to listen, but it's not too loud. There is also a separate parking lot across the street that is reserved for customers of the restaurant, which is really nice since it is located in downtown. I will definitely be coming back to dine in.

Had a little date night at this location and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were super friendly and greeted us with a HUGE smile! We got seated very quickly and after we sat the place seemed to fill up quickly! I also noticed a lot of other Indian people eating here which means they got good food!! There must have been some confusion because at first someone took our order but then we were going to add something else on because we were still deciding. But then once we waited for a long time they came and said they didn't take the order only 2 thing was submitted which was the lamb and the app. So we got that figured out lol We started with appetizer desi doo bun and it had great flavor but wish they had more chicken. I enjoyed these but this was not my wife's favorite. The lamb was phenomenal! This definitely stood out because the meat was a good portion and it was SO tender. The sauces were great compliments to the flavors! We had butter chicken that followed with some vegetable curry and garlic naan. The butter chicken was 7/10 . The chicken was dry unfortunately. The vegetables curry was very flavorful and delicious! The naan came out super hot and delicious as well! I finished off with some rice pudding which was their house special. Haven't had it for a while but it satisfied my sweet tooth. I would recommend checking out this place for good food and friendly service

This was absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh, and the customer service was amazing!

This food was absolutely amazing, flavorful and fresh. The customer service was great as well!

Masala Martini

The food was amazing (best Indian food I've had and I've had a lot), food came out quick. The staff were friendly and were giving recommendations. The drinks were great (masala martini and Mumbai moscow mule). Great atmosphere on the outside patio. Just overall had an amazing time.

One of my top food spots in Downtown Phoenix. The taste of the food is amazing! Service is always great! Ambiance is simple and clean! Must try spot for Indian food in Phx Downtown! Their Karaikudi chicken and Panner tikka masala are Fire

Pani puri & Chilli chicken

Loved the food and our two servers were so nice and recommended a great beer! New fav spot in downtown Phoenix. Can also say, the paneer Palak was exceptional! We got a spice level 4 and it was delicious. Pani puri was also great. Will be back to try more! The ambiance is so nice outside especially in this weather!

Dal Thadka
Ashish N.

Tried Aroma India for the first time and was really impressed! We ordered the Pav Bhaji and Dal Tadka--both were flavorful and comforting. The Pav Bhaji had a rich, buttery taste with a good balance of spice, and the pav was toasted perfectly. The Dal Tadka was warm and homestyle, with just the right amount of garlic and tempering to bring it to life. Portions were generous, and the food tasted freshly made. The service was attentive without being rushed, and the overall ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a solid spot for authentic Indian vegetarian dishes--can't wait to come back and try more.

Aroma special Chicken Tikka Masala with naan bread
Adriana R.

We tied the vegetable samosa and enjoyed it with the green sauce. We then also split the chicken tikka masala with naan bread. Loved the masala and thought the naan bread was good but regret not trying their garlic naan. The reason for a 4/5 is due to the chicken being overcooked and airless dry. The service was average and the tables and chairs could have been a little bit better. I think this place could do really well with some better seating and prices were okay. I would come back and try their lunch special as that seemed reasonable.

The lunch trays, which I imagine must be like a bento box kind of thing, were odd. Made for small-ish portions. It was more like 3 sides than a main and two sides. I would have liked nearly twice as much of the main curry, though the sides seemed appropriate in portion. Like I said, decent food, but I think I'll try somewhere else rather than come back here again. I don't like feeling like I'm inconveniencing the staff by just trying to order.

They have parking on both sides of their business: one by the store and the other by the restaurant. There were a few people inside shopping and I picked up my food. I decided to look around the store for a bit, they have a good variety of Indian spices, snacks, cookies and other dry goods. I also bought some veggie samosas for $1.50 each, a good deal. They also had a display case of desserts and pastries. The food I received included rice, chicken tandoori, some curry, and fried bread. The chicken was spicy and tasted good, but some of the rice was undercooked and the curry wasn't great. The samosas were pretty simple but good, and I love the mint chutney and tamarind sauce that come with it. This is a neat place to peruse and pick up some items to cook Indian food. Maybe their lunch buffet is better fresh but I don't think the bag met the anticipated value.

The Lady does a good job in getting the orders in and handing food out. The Grocery store is definitely a good one and you will feel little congested in the aisle spacing but got all the items you would expect in an Indian store.

This is a neat family establishment. The mother is the chef and Khadija (forgive me if I botched…read morethe spelling) is the daughter and our server. They were so welcoming. I am still learning about middle eastern cuisine so the chef described some entrees. I told her about a Pakistani dish I really enjoyed and she made me a similar chicken dish that isn't even on the menu! What I love about middle eastern food is that it is so fragrant and a full scale sensory overload. It looks, smells and tastes all at once. Khadija was adorable and very outgoing. I was super impressed by the whole vibe. All of the other patrons were probably far more familiar with the cuisine, but we felt welcome and were so honored that they presented something off the menu for me. I plan to try the regular menu dishes next time. The naan is outstanding, too.

We even joked about trying something new, but of course we ordered our usual again but we recently found out they have a buffet on Sundays, which is really nice if you want to try different dishes or expand your palate! The garlic naan is always a favorite, super savory and hard to stop eating. You can also choose the spice level for the masala. We finally tried the spiciest level, and I would say to be careful with that one. We would recommend medium instead. We are Hispanic and even for us the spiciest level was a little intense on our gastrointestinal system, but we still ate everything. If you want authentic Indian food with great spices, this is the place to go. It is usually pretty empty when we visit, which surprises us because the food is so good. We hope this place gets longer waits and we will definitely be eating here many more times.

For $17 I got the vegan combo plate and it came with 2 sides -- I opted for the mesir wat (spicy lentils) and gomen (collard greens). The mesir wat and gomen came beautifully wrapped in an injera, with a salad on the top and two very large rolled up injeras. This combo would be more than enough for two people to share. I ordered right as they opened and my order came fairly quickly (~40 mins), so I was really happy with that as well. The mesir wat was seasoned spectacularly! Just enough heat that pairs with the savory flavor. The gomen also was deliciously garlicky, all coming together so harmoniously with the sourness of the injera. I was worried that ordering it for delivery would affect the experience, but everything came nice and warm and it was so great to have this meal at home. I definitely will need to come in next time, with friends for sure, I could not finish this combo on my own.
