As I do with all reviews, I like to give a score out of 10, as I think it provides better perspective. I give Vinsar's Lounge an 8.8 I ordered the the sesame chicken with fried rice ($10 lunch special, but $2 extra for fried rice instead of white or brown). The lunch special also includes a spring roll and soup but I asked to not have those brought out as I know I wouldn't eat them. The sesame chicken was delicious. Chicken cooked perfectly. Slightly crispy outside but still tender and juicy. Fried rice was very good. Atmosphere is very nice. Clean. I sat at the bar where there are good TV viewing options. Presentation of food was also nice, which shows they take pride in what they're doing. Bartender/server was polite. Big menu. I'm interested in returning to try their Indian food. I have no negatives about Vinsar's Lounge. Only reason it's an 8.8 and not a 10 is because Asian food isn't my favorite. But for what this place is, it scored about as high as it could have gotten based on what I like. I work nearby, so I definitely plan on returning. read more

A solid 4+! It's an unassuming place inside that had a lively - though not crowded - bar on a Thursday evening. The dining area was on the other side of it and very comfortable. The wait staff was great! The food was very tasty and plentiful. I had seaweed salad for an appetizer and Mongolian beef as an entree. Both were excellent! My colleagues had butter chicken and Chana Masala, which they enjoyed...though warning that the butter chicken was spicy. I'd go regularly if I lived in the area! read more

I ordered from the app which is so nice and convenient. However once I let the bartender know I ordered my food and it should be ready in about 10 minutes she went to the kitchen to check on it. She came out crying and mad at one of the owners or supervisors (not sure) I could recognize him if I had to. Then she walked out crying. And I was trying to console her, and help her calm down. She didn't speak, she grabbed her things and left. The person she was speaking to came towards me with my order of food for my family. He mentioned "she's crazy", and hasn't been doing well all morning, I asked her to do something and she cussed me out". I understand that wasn't nice of her and maybe from her point of view she was mad because it's been escalating for a while, and I how it's hard to find quality people to work in a restaurant, however if a manager is comfortable to tell a person that he's never met before that his employee is "crazy" but talking directly to a first time customer about the incident with his employee is 100 % unprofessional ! And uncalled for to treat his employee like this. Maybe his employee was having a bad day !! Any chance to have compassion ? No, none of that was expressed. Wow what an experience in this restaurant ! Food is great but not interested in drama. On either side of management or employees. Good luck. Wont be interested in returning to see more. read more

If I lived in Arizona, I am pretty sure this would be a place I frequent. The vibes are great, the prices are affordable, and the food was good. That's all you can ask for in a restaurant. I ordered wings and sushi. I also tried the rice. The wings aren't heavily seasoned, but they are good and hit the spot. The sushi was delicious. Cool spot in Phoenix. I had it on my list of places to visit and so glad I did. We went for lunch on a Saturday so we missed their lunch special which is Mon to Fri. Chinese food was pretty decent. I rarely eat Chinese food since I left NY since I'm usually disappointed but everything was so good. Our server was great I forgot her name already lol. I had the combo chow mein and wonton soup. Tasted my friend's hot and sour and egg drop soups both delish! And the sweet and sour chicken was legit! They have all you can eat sushi from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. every night. Such a fun spot! I didn't even eat this time, just hung out at the bar, but the vibe was everything. The bartenders were super friendly, made great conversation, and even put us on to a bunch of other places to check out around the area. You can tell they really love what they do. The lemon drop shots were definitely the highlight perfectly balanced and so good we had to get another round. Between the energy, the people, and the drinks, this place easily became one of my new go-tos. Can't wait to come back and try the sushi next time! read more

Went in for a quick meal and sat at the bar. Morgan, the bar tender, was super friendly and helped me out deciding what to order. She suggested I try the big eye tuna (I think that's what it was), and when I said I rarely ate fish, she offered to let me try a small sample, which was very good! Had lunch on a Saturday. We were one of two tables being served. Two separate menus - one for Asian/sushi & one for Indian. Ordered an appetizer off the Indian menu & they were out. Ordered 4 rolls. Each one came out one at a time & it was very slow coming from the kitchen. Sushi was decent but for the price they were on the smaller side. The most confusing experience ever. The space is massive. So when we arrived. It felt instantly awkward as we were the only customers at 11:30 on a Sunday. The server/ bartender, seemed really uncomfortable. Which was hard to read at first. But became clear as our visit progressed. The menu mentions a drink menu. Which they don't have. They promote a weekend brunch. The brunch menu is not listed online. It's also confusing. Very bare bones and extremely disappointing. Such a missed opportunity to do something different. I expected some Asian inspired unique brunch items. I can get eggs and toast at home. So I opted for sushi. The server / bartender was uncomfortable when I ordered, which made us uncomfortable. It was almost like are you are mad we are here? WAIT for it.....I soon learned why. 30 mins later after we ordered. And not seeing a glimpse of human life. She reappears with 2 pad Thai entrees. They were bland and almost slimy. Very lean cuisine. I happen to look up in the bar mirror and see our server at the sushi bar clearly frantic. I muttered to my friends "this can't be real." My friend joked she's probably the chef. SURPRISE..........my 1 sushi roll and 1 order of nigiri (2 pieces ) arrived. She was very apologetic for the appearance and what appeared to us almost on the verge of tears or a mental breakdown. I bartend so I always give props to people trying their best. I respect and appreciate her effort. What was given to me was bizarre. Looked old. And almost the texture of cat food. She continued to apologize and explain she's still learning. She clearly was given zero direction how to properly cut fish. I spit half of it out and tossed in a trash can outside. Whoever owns or is running this place clearly has an identity crisis. To add insult to injury. I see a sushi chef come in as we are leaving and I'm slapped with a $42 bill. I only gave 2 stars because the server tried. It's reasonable to say no sushi till after 1pm. Safeway produces better sushi. In my opinion. The management set the server up to fail. The kicker. Here we are 6:26pm and about 30 mins of horrible stomach pains. What I reluctantly ate come out at warp speed. I could feel my body trying to purge. I wouldn't even attempt to go here for another month or two. It's clear there's no leadership or experience. There is no allure to this place. No proper signage in the parking lot. And the most awkward environment ever. read more

My friends and I have been going to Rock N Roll at this location for a few years and have always been happy with the food and the service. When we were told that the name was changing and that the owners/management was different we were very leery. Who likes change? Not us!!! However, we decided to try it just to be sure. It is GREAT!!!!! We were greeted by our favorite server, Micki and the new owner Vin! We sat at our favorite table, were served our usual drinks without asking and ate a delicious meal!! We even liked it better than before and are excited to go back to see what they will do next. Change ? who cares as long as the people are friendly and the service and food is great.
