When entering the place we were seated right away. From the looks of it, the place looked super clean! The food I'd give 7/10. The walnut shrimp had more of a lemon-y taste to it compared to other places I've tried. The orange chicken was good. The egg fried rice lacked a bit of flavor but it wasn't bad. Phoenix has many "Asian" places to eat, and I happened to be at Spectrum Mall, and I gave this place a try. A gentleman asked me if it was my first time here when i walked in, and was seated very quickly. He recommended Chicken or Beef dish. I ordered a cup of Hot and Sour soup and Steamed Dumplings. The soup came out first, at first it was very under whelming but the heat kicked in. Over all good soup. The dumplings cane out next, they are huge, much bigger than many other places in town. The filling was good, the dipping sauce paired well. Their menu is extensive and has a wide variety of asian food. The place is clean, and decor isn't over the top asian either. 9-25-24 Update I never had egg foo young beef before. I've always picked other dishes and wanted to try something new. Egg foo young is an omelette with onions and choice of meat or veggies with brown sauce gravy. Comes with steamed rice. It's very filling and worth to try out. This is a true workmen's food to keep them going. I had 3 pieces of the omelette with beef. You might need to add a bit of salt and pepper for your liking. I love mine as is because I love dipping it in brown sauce gravy. I have leftovers for dinner or breakfast. Worth it. read more

Better than we've had in a long, long time! My family really loved the orange chicken I will definitely return for the sweet-and-sour chicken and the walnut shrimp I didn't care for the eggroll. The Hot & Sour Soup is consistently deeelish as is their House Fried Rice. They offer an onion free version as my Dog loves egg fried rice. The soup has just the right ratio of veg/meat to liquid. I saw a call for help Reel on Instagram for Bamboo Asian Kitchen by their shop neighbor Naughty Taco this weekend. It was a heartfelt message by a representative of Naughty Taco urging people to stop in and help a business in need to avoid them from going under. I have not been to either restaurant, but have started with Bamboo Asian Kitchen. I placed an order of Beef Fried Rice to go with Gina at the counter. The dining area is sparse, beautifully lit and most important very clean. There is also a little waiting area if you order at the counter and takeout. My order comes out pretty quickly and piping hot! I get back to my desk and the fried rice is still super hot. Excuse the takeout presentation. I am sure it is much prettier when dinning in. I am happy that i ran into the Instagram Reel, this place has very delicious food. I will for sure be back, but will be dinning in next time. Was out running errands when I realized it was almost 3 pm and all I'd eaten all day was a bagel many hours ago. The storefront belies the nice interior ambiance. You might expect a quick serve joint by the exterior. But inside you find a nicely appointed restaurant, with pleasant decor featuring a mix of tables and booths. We opted for luncheon entrees, which are available even on weekends. The portions were very generous! We both enjoyed the crispy wontons, although I'm more partial to the lighter, crispier wrapper. But they had a nice filling. Both entrees were very tasty. I liked that the broccoli was set aside, rather than mixed into the garlic sauce. The veggies were also perfectly cooked - not mushy and not too uncooked. The servers were welcoming and very helpful! While we were dining, the kitchen staff sang happy birthday to the main host. It was fun to find out and wish him a happy birthday. If there was something for them to zero in on to improve, I would say that their fried rice could be improved. Most fried rice has some carrots, onions, peas and egg. This was heavy on the soy sauce with no visible egg or veggies. Could have just been the batch. At first DoorDash said it would take 70-90 minutes but it delivered in 1 hour so much quicker than expected. I would order from here again if I'm ever in the area. It's hard finding a good Chinese place to order out or sit in. This place is def top spot for Chinese for me. Coming from the Midwest/east coast, Bamboo reminds me a little of home. Chinese places there seem to have put more effort in their food and restaurants presentability making it inviting and trusting of the food quality. Def not a hole in the wall but price is just as good as one. The guy there is very welcoming and friendly. I always go for the orange chicken but he recommended the orange beef and I wish I had tried it sooner! It' was so good! kinda like Beijing beef from panda as far as texture goes but flavor was deliciously orange. We ordered shrimp fried rice and ragoons. The fried rice was served hot and it was very tasty! The shrimp are a really nice size, but not over powering.
