I stopped in during the work week to grab lunch. When i entered, I was greeted nicely and was seated promptly. I tried the shrimp with garlic sauce which came with soup, egg roll, wonton, and brown rice. The meal was delicious and hearty. There is accessible entrance and parking.

This is the second time hubby and I have stopped in for lunch/dinner. I must say it's very clean and staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is on point, with impeccable flavors and freshness. And the beers were ice cold and served with a frosted glass. The pricing is great for the portions. We'll be back~and am looking forward to it.

Visiting Phoenix. Where I live has terrible Chinese food, so I like crave it. Bamboo Asian Kitchen was so spot on. Spacious, bright and clean restaurant. Quick and friendly service. Went straightforward and classic: Crab Puffs (crab rangoons) Orange Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. They give you SO MUCH FOOD! Was so bummed we were traveling and couldn't take our leftovers. Everything was so good. Hot, crispy and flavors were spot on. Some great comfort food.

Kung Pao combo - shrimp & chicken. A great special here with Spring roll, crab, puff and choice of hot and sour. Or egg drop soup.

The server? Owner? Was super sweet!! I overheard him mention what goes well with what, what item overpowers what, you really don't get that at any other restaurant. When entering the place we were seated right away. From the looks of it, the place looked super clean! The food I'd give 7/10. The walnut shrimp had more of a lemon-y taste to it compared to other places I've tried. The orange chicken was good. The egg fried rice lacked a bit of flavor but it wasn't bad. I really enjoyed the hot & sour soup, the egg drop soup & the crab puffs. Portions were really decent too, enough to share with 2 other people.

Phoenix has many "Asian" places to eat, and I happened to be at Spectrum Mall, and I gave this place a try. A gentleman asked me if it was my first time here when i walked in, and was seated very quickly. He recommended Chicken or Beef dish. I ordered a cup of Hot and Sour soup and Steamed Dumplings. The soup came out first, at first it was very under whelming but the heat kicked in. Over all good soup. The dumplings cane out next, they are huge, much bigger than many other places in town. The filling was good, the dipping sauce paired well. Their menu is extensive and has a wide variety of asian food. The place is clean, and decor isn't over the top asian either. I will be coming back.

Was visiting from out of town and in search of some quick take-out Chinese food in the zip code of our Airbnb. We ordered our food while in downtown Phoenix and was told it would be about 20 min. We were 25 min away. We got hunan beef, orange chicken, chicken fried rice and their house pan-fried noodles. The food was ready upon our arrival and freshly made. The hunan beef was just okay, but everything else was pretty good. Got it to go so we didn't experience the inside.

9-25-24 Update I never had egg foo young beef before. I've always picked other dishes and wanted to try something new. Egg foo young is an omelette with onions and choice of meat or veggies with brown sauce gravy. Comes with steamed rice. It's very filling and worth to try out. This is a true workmen's food to keep them going. I had 3 pieces of the omelette with beef. You might need to add a bit of salt and pepper for your liking. I love mine as is because I love dipping it in brown sauce gravy. I have leftovers for dinner or breakfast. Worth it.

Wonderful food & service. The owner truly cares! I drive out of my way to go there and have tried several dishes. The hot and sour soup is always yummy. If you go there, you will not be disappointed. From a loyal patron.

I saw a call for help Reel on Instagram for Bamboo Asian Kitchen by their shop neighbor Naughty Taco this weekend. It was a heartfelt message by a representative of Naughty Taco urging people to stop in and help a business in need to avoid them from going under. I have not been to either restaurant, but have started with Bamboo Asian Kitchen. I placed an order of Beef Fried Rice to go with Gina at the counter. The dining area is sparse, beautifully lit and most important very clean. There is also a little waiting area if you order at the counter and takeout. My order comes out pretty quickly and piping hot! I get back to my desk and the fried rice is still super hot. Excuse the takeout presentation. I am sure it is much prettier when dinning in. I am happy that i ran into the Instagram Reel, this place has very delicious food. I will for sure be back, but will be dinning in next time. I hope that the call for help gets answered to keep them afloat! I am now a fan of Bamboo Asian Kitchen!!!

I've been to China Chili three times now, so I can safely say it's my favorite Chinese restaurant…read morein town. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner. They have complimentary parking in the front, side, and back of the restaurant. There aren't a ton of spots, but there's street parking close by too. Ambiance (3.5/5): Like most Chinese restaurants, China Chili is pretty no frills. Which isn't a problem for me at all, I'm there for the food. It's a spacious restaurant with both regular tables and circular tables that rotates (good for large groups sharing dishes). Service (4/5): Fantastic service is also not something I expect at a Chinese restaurant. Yet again, I'm there for the food. With that being said, service, while not overly friendly, is typically pretty efficient. Which I always appreciate. Drinks (4/5): Pretty much your standard soft drinks, tea, and a limited selection of alcoholic beverages. My favorite option is their buddha beer which you don't see in a lot of places. It's a lager and it's in a buddha-shaped bottle. It doesn't get much better than that. Food (5/5): The first time I came was for one of my favorite dishes... Peking duck. There aren't a ton of spots in Phoenix that have it, but out of the ones that do, China Chili serves it at a high level. You can go with either crepes or baos (additional surcharge). The duck is absolutely to die for. Flavorful, juicy meat with crispy skin that fits in perfectly into your mini "sandwich" with green onions and Hoisin sauce. For a reasonable price too. Their food outside of duck is of a similar quality. I especially like their flat noodles with beef. Even classic dishes like sesame chicken have a twist here. It's sliced chicken rather than fully breaded chicken. Just as good as the typical way, the sauce is delicious. My only complaint? They give you a pretty small helping of white rice with your dish. Outside of that, the portions are generous. Everything I've had at China Chili has been a hit. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The teriyaki chicken dinner was the standout: a generous portion of glossy, savory-sweet chicken with sesame seeds, served with a neat mound of white rice. Everything was flavorful and satisfying without being overly heavy. Service matched the easygoing vibe--friendly, attentive staff kept things moving smoothly in a relaxed, unpretentious dining room that feels comfortable and inviting. A reliable neighborhood choice when you want classic Chinese comfort food without any fuss.

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. I also want to try their happy hour that's available everyday from 4-7PM. All the food items are only $7 and variety looks amazing.

The water glasses looked like what you'd make a tequila sunrise in (tall & skinny). Obviously with ice that type of glass doesn't hold very much water. Getting a refill and we needed several, was worse than pulling teeth. We had the bartender as the only employee left working. One time I had to ask four times for a refill. We also ordered beer and a whisky drink so we weren't cheap. The food was pretty good. The ticket time on my entree was about 10 minutes but the other two at our table didn't get their food for almost half an hour. No consistency. I may try this place again much earlier in the night.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

**July 2026: Thursday Night**…read more We wanted to end our trip on a high note so we decided to try Lom Wong, a 2025 James Beard Award winner! The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. It was the perfect final meal for our trip, and I'd definitely come back again.

The biggest disappointment was the Arai Kodai menu option, where the kitchen selects the dishes for you. Unfortunately, the selections felt pretty average. We were served Tom Kha Gai (a creamy coconut soup), Kaeng Phet Charindia (a red curry), Papaya Salad, and Scallop Crudo. While everything was well-executed, none of the dishes felt particularly unique or showcased why Lom Wong has such a great reputation. Honestly, it's the kind of meal I could find at a good neighborhood Thai restaurant. The other downside was the pacing. Being to Thailand many many times, this is nothing we have experienced. We had barely received our drinks and taken a single sip, when immediately every dish hit the table all at once. Instead of feeling like a curated dining experience, it felt rushed and a bit stressful trying to juggle multiple dishes plus our drink: Karaoke king (which would have been good if I had a second to enjoy it) Overall, it was still a nice meal and great atmosphere on par with other Thai restaurants. My advice: skip the chef's selection and order à la carte. Just be prepared for the food to come out quickly and all at once.
