Another new restaurant another new review. After being unable to go to Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn steakhouse due to incredibly long lines, we decided on Lin's Grand buffet. We paid in advance as most buffets do, $18.95 per person plus 3.95 per drink. We were taken to our table and our drink order was taken. Just looking at the buffet was enough to make me regret this decision. Orange colored Lo mein noodles, some sort of fish dish in between the "orange chicken" and the "spicy chicken". "Sautéed sausage and jalapeños" in a "Chinese buffet"? This we BAD Mexican Food, BAD Chinese food fusion. Everything on the buffet had previously been frozen and cooked, you could tell by the pool of water that most of the food sat in. Nothing had any flavor whatsoever so ever. If this was the only place to eat I have a feeling I would starve to death. Once back home in Tucson things didn't get better. I give the one star only for the waitress who kept our tea glasses full, which if there is any bright star about this place, was actually a good glass of tea. My recommendation, Avoid at all cost unless this is the ONLY place you can get food, which with 2 excellent steak houses right next door is highly unlikely. read more

Despite living in the Phoenix area for the last four years and passing this and other Lin's locations somewhat frequently, we visited for the very first time earlier this month. There was a short line to be pay and be seated, but it moved quickly and efficiently. Our server was friendly and kept our drinks filled and plates cleared. This location is an amplified version of your local Chinese buffet. In addition to typical Chinese buffet offerings, they have sushi and made-to-order hibachi. They also have a limited selection of American grub mixed in with the buffet. I stopped by with my family to Lin's Grand Buffet and this is our second time here. The food is amazing! We love it and will be coming back. The service is pretty average. Our server was not super attentive but still okay, we still would come back regardless. The prices are pretty decent as well, for myself, my husband, and our son with fountain drinks came out to $67. You get unlimited food and dessert. Any other place we go to we would spend around $80-$100 if not more and it's not unlimited, it is just for one entree each and maybe an appetizer. So definitely a good bang for your buck here and like I said the food is actually pretty darn good! They have so many selections! The ambiance is pretty nice as well, there is some areas where staff need to clean up and re fix but kinda hard at a buffet where everyone is grabbing everything and sometimes messes happen, it's nothing to crazy, to me it was actually pretty decent! I love the Mongolian Grill area, the food is so tasty! If you have not tried this place out, I highly recommend you do so! Their broccoli and beef is delicious, the fried rice and chow mein also very good! The bourbon chicken is also amazing! They have a grilled steak area as well, you have to ask the staff working the Mongolian grill area to get a steak and it's a sirloin steak, they will ask you how you would like it cooked. They also have green beans with onion and garlic and those are so tasty! They have egg drop soup and my man loves it! They also have stuff for the kids like pizza and french fries, sweet and sour chicken, wings! They have salad options as well. Which was also very good! They have tons of sushi options and they have shrimp and some other seafood selections as well. They have tons of fruit which all looked and tasted amazing! They have pudding and a great selection for dessert and an ice cream machine, you can get your ice cream in a cone or a cup. No complaints at all. Very well done Lin's Grand Buffet! Still an awesome selection and diverse options. The Mongolian BBQ is still my favorite. One small thing, stop putting Jalapeño slices in so many of the dishes like Mussels, Octopus and Sausage. We headed down here last Friday afternoon for lunch. How was it? Lunch Buffet- Pretty impressive! Better than I thought it was going to be. I went to Lins as I was late in my birthday celebration. It was Valentines day. I expected a long wait. Not at all...The place is very clean food is on point. Service was great considering the day. Loved everything except....I couldn't find a table knife anywhere in sight. The seafood was tender. Always available. Would of given you 5 stars except for the table knife. The sushi bar is my youngest favorite part and it's always a friendly chef making it fresh in front of you. They have a Mongolian bar where they can make you tasty bowls to order. Lin's Grand Buffet is a nice clean buffet that serves hot foods. If you're looking for a buffet that serves hot food, I would come here for sure. If you want more seafood options then I would go to the competitor buffet - seafood harbor buffet across the street. My parents love going to Seafood harbor and since this one just opened we decided to give it a try. I did like how there is a self serve soft ice cream machine with cones here. This was the best thing in my opinion of dessert as most Asian buffets don't have the best desserts. It was lunch time when we went and it was busy. I have been eyeing this buffet ever since it was under construction and recently heard from co-workers that it was finally open. We came on Sunday morning and the dining area was already packed. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of parking and seating but lacks natural lighting and is very dark in decor. After we were seated by our host, we were free to fill our plates and stomachs. There was an array of Chinese cuisine, fried foods, sushi, and desserts. I sampled most of each item and the stand-outs were the broccoli beef, salt and pepper shrimp, and BBQ ribs. This buffet has slightly less variety compared to other Asian buffets. It was mostly chicken options just served differently with another vegetable. The chicken was tough, the fried fish was bland, and the hot and sour soup was so peppery that it was extremely hard to ingest. When we finished eating, we witnessed a homeless man pacing around the buffet stations picking up fries with his bare hands and then opening and touching every single sweet potato. The staff were aware but did not address the situation. I decided to give this place a try because it was new, but I don't see myself coming back. If I had to choose, I would rather go to Harbor Seafood Buffet across the street. read more

We came here a little after 4pm and it was packed. We weren't thinking it wouldn't be too busy around this time, but I think because it's newer, a lot of people want to try. We didn't have to wait long to get our table. The food was fresh and delicious, and workers were constantly cleaning and replacing empty dishes. They definitely stayed on top of each food section. So many options to choose from. They even have chefs to cook you a stir fry if you want too. I didn't opt for this because I wanted to try everything else, and then I ended up being way too full. There are not many buffets in the Phoenix Metro area and their main attraction seems to be the price point, not necessarily the quality of the food. This buffet is an exception. It is inexpensive but food quality is really good, dining areas are very spacious and very clean, and the service is very efficient. Like all big buffets, there is a main dining area, a Mongolian Grill area, a sushi bar, salad bar, and dessert bar. This buffet is conveniently located in the Metro Center area with lots of parking. This is a good place to go if you want to eat well and not spend much, and don't mind that there's a lot of people because of its popularity. read more

Review date 12/2/2025 Used to be really good when they first opened Up in March 2025. The food was hot fresh you could tell the meat was just cooked. Maybe because it was a high turnover there there were so many people going there. Now it's kind of no different from any other buffet place half of the food isn't that warm. Some of the chicken is actually hard and cold in the different dishes.. I used to really like the pineapple chicken but now it's like chewing on a chicken jerky. The cucumber salad in the salad area looks like it's been sitting in that bowl for months. They need to slice the cucumber thicker It's just a soggy mess. It doesn't even taste like cucumber salad.. I was just in there today and it looked like they had mixed fresh or cucumbers in with the cucumbers. It just looked disgusting. One thing I can't say it's pretty good there and very fresh is the sushi. Sushi is very well presented. They have attendance making fresh sushi all the time.. Across the street there's another buffet place that is just as good as lens really good sushi really good food and they're actually a little cheaper Honestly, I would choose the cheaper of the two because of food is pretty much identical My photos and video from the first time I went in March when it was actually very good Now I could just call it mediocre or same as any other buffet place the food still half cold some of it isn't very fresh really I give it a mediocre $19 for lunch with a drink. The food selection is amazing, and while they are busy especially for larger parties as a single or small party you could get in pretty quickly. This was my first time at Lin's Grand Buffet. First off as you enter you prepay before being seated. For us being seniors we were given a 10% discount. I must tell you that it has been a while since I have eaten at a buffet. The place is kept very clean and the seating area is nice and roomy. The waitress brought over our drinks pretty quickly which you order as you pay ahead at the front. Not sure whether I can give an ample review on their food as I didn't try everything but I did try a bit of every item I could fit into my dish. Some items were dry but the items I really enjoyed were the pineapple chicken, orange chicken and the peppered steak were delicious. I didn't go to the sushi area as I was getting a bit full. The grill was open but I didn't try that either. They have plenty of every kind of food for you plus plenty of desserts to pick from. The place was pretty busy but again it was the after lunch crowd so I can't compare. The parking is not as big but again there are other restaurants within walking distance from Linn's. I just wanted to try Linn's since it's opening about a couple of months ago. Whether I return, only time will tell. The Metro Center area will eventually get a new different look and will again be bustling like years ago, that is the plan so to speak. read more

This also means the restaurant was loud with a lot of folks enjoying themselves, so just come hungry, eat and chat in the car later. Lin's has a lot of choices, similar to a takeout buffet. Very generic, but for the price, this AYCE is ...food. I was warned about the seasoning after I went to Lin's. So this must be a case of differing preferences. I don't want to taste 1/4 teaspoon of salt with each bite I have. Then again, my diet and taste buds haven't fully acclimated to the desert lifestyle since moving from Bland Bay Area. My granddaughter wanted me to take her to eat here, because the parking lot is always full, and she assumed that they have excellent food. Oh, boy. We started with the sushi and every roll tasted the same, seriously, they looked different but they all had the same taste. She went on and got a plate of hot food, while I made a salad. The ingredients didn't look fresh. She grabbed a fresh dinner roll that had a honey(?) glaze. It was the only decent bite I had. I asked the manager for a refund so I could leave at least not feeling ripped off but she treated me like I was trying to scam them for the 20 dollars I paid. The value you get out of this place is fantastic. After spending $20 for loaded fries earlier in the day, this establishment only charges $18.40 (includes tax) for all you can eat. Quite frankly, it's an awesome deal and pretty unbelievable since that's what I pay for a normal sit down restaurant. As with most of these Chinese buffets, you get a mix of different types of foods from sushi, salad, fried rice, chicken dishes, pizza, ice cream, jello, Mongolian noodles and beef, and much more. The only real foible of this place was that I wish they had signs on the food so you know what's what. Oddly enough, I found signs on top of the dessert so the workers forgot to place the signs everywhere. Most of the food we ate were fresh and hot. It must've been because it was on a crowded dinner night where the kitchen was constantly making food and putting them on the trays. My personal suggestion is to always go to the places that make the food for you right on the spot which would be the Mongolian section of the buffet; it allows you to choose from a variety of meats and vegetables and they stir fry it for you. I would say that was my favorite part of the meal. I would say my least favorite parts were the dessert items as they were either bland or average. Avoid the jello. The service was nice and friendly and despite the long line, we were able to be seated after 10 minutes of waiting. read more
