Tried a little of everything. Plate 1

This place gets busy during dinner rush hour. I love that it's family owned and there's over 100 items to choose from. Also a great place for families and there's a private room for larger parties. It's around $18 for dinner and even cheaper for lunch. I probably ate $80 worth of food because of the sushi and steak options. You get such a good value and I also saw a good amount of fitness folks bulking up on protein here. They have food everyone would like from traditional Chinese, Japanese, bbq, seafood, and American food.

So good! I'm a big seafood girl so I loved the sushi, seafood boil, and fried fish. They also had a good selection of steak and fan favorites like orange chicken that looked really good! Service was really friendly and I love that it's a family business. I got their soft serve for desert and it was delicious! This location is pretty large so it's great for accommodating larger groups.

Came in on a Saturday afternoon, and I can easily say this was a good choice. The selection for a buffet is pretty standard, and with people constantly coming in, the food is all fresh and hot. Unfortunately it also has the same shortcomings of those other buffets, where majority of the food is fried or over seasoned. There was sushi available, but even though it did look clean with families constantly taking from there, I didn't want to risk eating that at a buffet (too much rice/carbs would fill me up before I got my fill of protein). Probably my favorite food choice is the fact that at their Mongolian grill station, they're also grilling steaks. Would recommend this place though, great service with drink refills and servers constantly going around taking away dirty plates, very family friendly, and great for those indecisive people because you can just make your own place.

My family & I have been here 3 times in the past few weeks while we're living in the area temporarily. For the cost it's a very good buffet. There is plenty of seating, the place has appeared clean (other than some dust high up on the ceiling.) They surprisingly have a lot of Chinese food options to choose from. They have sushi section that they are replenishing regularly. The grilled steak (they are very thin, but seasoned) & Mongolian grill areas have been my favorite. The service is always friendly & fast. The only area that is kind of lacking is the dessert area which has some like sysco brand sheet cakes, baby Bundt cakes (not good) & some ok soft serve ice cream. Not a bad spot at all, we'll definitely be back

Despite living in the Phoenix area for the last four years and passing this and other Lin's locations somewhat frequently, we visited for the very first time earlier this month. There was a short line to be pay and be seated, but it moved quickly and efficiently. Our server was friendly and kept our drinks filled and plates cleared. This location is an amplified version of your local Chinese buffet. In addition to typical Chinese buffet offerings, they have sushi and made-to-order hibachi. They also have a limited selection of American grub mixed in with the buffet. Lin's felt pretty clean and there were employees regularly wiping down the buffet area and swapping out utensils.

My first plate of food. Chow mien was a bit greasy, but everything else was solid!

My buddy and I were going to get some lunch, and he suggested a Chinese Buffet. I had to Yelp some spots, and this one came up and had pretty good reviews. We headed down here last Friday afternoon for lunch. How was it? Lunch Buffet- Pretty impressive! Better than I thought it was going to be. The place was incredibly clean and had workers constantly stirring dishes, cleaning up dirty plates etc. Efficient operation! The food was tasty! The chow mien was a bit greasy, and the desserts were not that good, but everything else was solid! Great orange and kung pao chicken. Decent egg rolls, fried shrimp. Tons and tons of options! If you can't find something you like here, you are in trouble! Would I come back? Yes! Definitely! It was super reasonably priced ($17.00 or so for lunch) and the food was good!

I stopped by with my family to Lin's Grand Buffet and this is our second time here. The food is amazing! We love it and will be coming back. The service is pretty average. Our server was not super attentive but still okay, we still would come back regardless. The prices are pretty decent as well, for myself, my husband, and our son with fountain drinks came out to $67. You get unlimited food and dessert. Any other place we go to we would spend around $80-$100 if not more and it's not unlimited, it is just for one entree each and maybe an appetizer. So definitely a good bang for your buck here and like I said the food is actually pretty darn good! They have so many selections! The ambiance is pretty nice as well, there is some areas where staff need to clean up and re fix but kinda hard at a buffet where everyone is grabbing everything and sometimes messes happen, it's nothing to crazy, to me it was actually pretty decent! I love the Mongolian Grill area, the food is so tasty! If you have not tried this place out, I highly recommend you do so! Their broccoli and beef is delicious, the fried rice and chow mein also very good! The bourbon chicken is also amazing! They have a grilled steak area as well, you have to ask the staff working the Mongolian grill area to get a steak and it's a sirloin steak, they will ask you how you would like it cooked. They also have green beans with onion and garlic and those are so tasty! They have egg drop soup and my man loves it! They also have stuff for the kids like pizza and french fries, sweet and sour chicken, wings! They have salad options as well. Which was also very good! They have tons of sushi options and they have shrimp and some other seafood selections as well. They have tons of fruit which all looked and tasted amazing! They have pudding and a great selection for dessert and an ice cream machine, you can get your ice cream in a cone or a cup. No complaints at all. Very well done Lin's Grand Buffet! This is one of the better Buffets we have been too. The food is good quality.

Went to lunch at Lin's Grand Buffet at Metro Parkway, a buffet chain with over 15 locations across Arizona, Texas, and California. It is known for its wide variety of food options, including a sushi bar, a Mongolian grill, and classic Chinese dishes. I really go to Chinese buffets for the seafood, and Lin's has a very nice selection and a great sushi station. I found everything to be super fresh and appealing. They also have a shrimp boil available, which I really enjoy, as well as many of the classic Chinese dishes most people look for. Lunch price is $14.99 with 10% off for seniors. Dinner is $17.99. Carryout is $8.29 per pound.

Lin's Grand Buffet is a nice clean buffet that serves hot foods. If you're looking for a buffet that serves hot food, I would come here for sure. If you want more seafood options then I would go to the competitor buffet - seafood harbor buffet across the street. My parents love going to Seafood harbor and since this one just opened we decided to give it a try. I did like how there is a self serve soft ice cream machine with cones here. This was the best thing in my opinion of dessert as most Asian buffets don't have the best desserts. It was lunch time when we went and it was busy. The servers were doing a great job taking care of customers.

I have been eyeing this buffet ever since it was under construction and recently heard from co-workers that it was finally open. We came on Sunday morning and the dining area was already packed. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of parking and seating but lacks natural lighting and is very dark in decor. After we were seated by our host, we were free to fill our plates and stomachs. There was an array of Chinese cuisine, fried foods, sushi, and desserts. I sampled most of each item and the stand-outs were the broccoli beef, salt and pepper shrimp, and BBQ ribs. This buffet has slightly less variety compared to other Asian buffets. It was mostly chicken options just served differently with another vegetable. The chicken was tough, the fried fish was bland, and the hot and sour soup was so peppery that it was extremely hard to ingest. When we finished eating, we witnessed a homeless man pacing around the buffet stations picking up fries with his bare hands and then opening and touching every single sweet potato. The staff were aware but did not address the situation. I decided to give this place a try because it was new, but I don't see myself coming back. If I had to choose, I would rather go to Harbor Seafood Buffet across the street.

It was a bit too spicy for me and it was Cajun sauce with potatoes and I poured the sauce in a container and made my way and grabbed some snow crab legs and crawfish and made my own seafood boil lol Pros: They stack the crab legs and crawfish Although the Crawfish didn't have any flavor (I would suggest dumping it in the cajun sauce with potatoes) Cons: It was an hr drive to PHX and the traffic.. Amazing Restaurant!…read more All amazing people of Phoenix, if you have not gone to this phenomenal restaurant yet, you really need to. This is one convenient, high quality, extremely flavorful Chinese place that me and my husband visited today. It was just high quality all the way! When we arrived it was quiet. Superbly clean, neat and tidy. Cute decor and a nice inviting vibe. We were sat at a table and given our menus. Prices were really good. Especially when you get the quality of food that comes out of that kitchen. Our waitress was super-nice. Which is hard to find these days. She was so nice to everyone who came in. When we sat down, a lady who wasn't too sure about the place came in asking all kinds of questions. And she patiently answered each one as if she was a close family member. A homeless guy came in asking for water. She jumped right up to give him a HUGE cup of ice and water and was so kind to him. Then other patrons came in to order and pick up food and each one, regardless of age, ethnic makeup, what they were wearing, all were greeted so warmly. Huge smiles and a constant giving and warm attitude all throughout. We were treated just as good. And for us that is very rare. We ordered a lot of various things. A cold cucumber salad, a hot appetizer, a couple of main dishes. Then the absolute most amazing signature steak on the Chef's Speciality. WOW. The salad and appetizers came out first. Salad really cold and refreshing. Super crisp and cut nicely. Amazing flavor. Then the appetizers were super hot and fresh. Not oily. Bursting with flavor. Then the mains came. Everything cooked perfectly. The flavors of each dish just screaming at my taste buds. Enjoyed every bite. Then they brought out the steak for my husband. So juicy. So tender. And the sauce in the side just added to the flavor. We savored every bite. The quality and temperatures and flavors are off the chart. We could not finish all this bliss in one sitting, se we asked for boxes and containers. She gave us many to separate everything and a bag to haul it home in. Always asking if we needed anything else and being authentically polite. This place should be packed. You are missing out if you have not tried New Hong King Restaurant. Amazing service. Got sat pretty quick and staffs were friendly. AYCE price for dinner is $34.98 lunch is $26.98. Typical rules, 2 hours, eat what you order and dishes per order. Ordered miso soup, seaweed salad, vegetable tempura and few other sushi. Tempura was tasty and piping hot. Miso soup was also pretty good along with seaweed salad. I like that Salmon roe sushi was bite size small. Over all the sushi weren't bad but the rice was bit on the sat around /undercooked on some part of the rice. Over all fish was OK on the quality but you get what you pay for. I did not try some of the other side menu items due to not being able to over stuff myself like I used to. If you are in the area and want to stuff yourself with not to bad sushi this place might work. I personally would not come back for the quality and price for the food.

My party of 5 was sat in a higher vantage point area so we could really see the hustle and bustle of this place. They took our drinks down right away and we all walked off to grab our plates. I typically learn towards sushi at buffets so I grabbed a couple pieces of yellowtail rolls, cooked salmon and seafood casserole. All of it was super tasty and pretty fresh. When we got to the buffet originally around 12pm it was not very busy but by 1pm the place was filling up fast! I wish I took photos but I was enjoying seeing the fam too much plus all our plates looked wild with the crayfish and hibachi grill items. The afternoon weekend buffet was about $19/pp with a drink and I'd say we all ate our moneys wort

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more Lin's Grand Buffet 3955 E. Baseline Road Phoenix, 85042+ Companion and I wanted to try a new Chinese buffet, and Lin's came to mind. We had heard both positives and negatives about it so it was about time to make up my own mind. We arrived at 5:00 and were seated immediately. The buffet looked interesting with about 6 rows of items to peruse. Companion went first and when he returned I got a plate and began my tour. First item on my plate was the seafood boil. Crawdads, shrimp, mussels, corn on cob, potatoes and lots of cajun spice. If it had been hotter it would have been wonderful. Next I started down a row of hotel pans, picking those items that seemed interesting to me. Shrimp in various incarnations, beef and broccoli, pork egg roll, potsticker, sticky pork rib, velveted pepper steak with onions, and a couple of pieces of sushi. The shrimp was nicely cooked and the pepper steak was tender and properly cooked. The sushi was unremarkable and the egg roll was soggy and without merit. The potsticker was nice as was a piece of fried banana. Sanitation in the food areas was excellent with counters being wiped down as needed. I also noted one of the chefs in the Mongolian BBQ area wiping down the tiles on the wall, which was quite impressive. However, not all was great. Food was tepid at best and while I did not have a thermometer with me my estimate was that none of the food was over 100 degrees. The restrooms were a different story. The ladies room was properly clean and appointed with nothing but a few drops of water on the floor by the sink. However, companion went into the men's room and took a picture for me. It could not pass any type of inspection by any person. Normally I would have handed my companion my ultra violet light which I use when checking bathrooms, but why waste the batteries? The place was filthy and the toilets were terrible. No use to stand upon the seat, the crabs in here can jump six feet! Companion remarked that it was disgusting and he forgoed using the facility. Our bill for 2 was $36.11, which is about what other buffet charge, however, I've eaten at much better buffets for this amount. 3 stars
