Yesterday I was in Amarillo, today I'm in Phoenix. Woke up to sunshine near Sedona on the i17. I was suppose to finish my delivery and head back to LA. But fate wouldnt let me. And so found myself leaving the rig in the receivers yard, and I came out here to what many say is the best Buffett in Phoenix. So I'm going to agree on that statement. For 20.00 on a weekdays, you can have quality at almost every food hot bar in this joint. Their Cajun Shrimp and Corn are spot on. Not Boiling Crab level but far better than many Buffett places across the country. The Beef ribs is straight up Chinese influenced, sweet, sauce drenched in five spices, cinnamon, bay leaves, rock sugar and cloves--- a first in a Buffett setting 滷lu牛niu肉rou braised beef. And for a plate of on the spot hibachi pasta.......this is by far the best hibachi spaghetti Mongolian beef plate I've had in ages. I've almost completely forgotten Buffetts actually taste good and with the value here in Phoenix, you just can't find a spot like this in LA anymore. Not even sure Vegas has any of these Chinese Seafood Surviving Buffetts either. Definitely on my recommend list for price to quality to value for a super Buffett! My friend took me out here for my birthday dinner and it was great! However I would like to come a different time when it's not so busy. The staff was able to stay on top of things consistently, our table was always getting cleaned and our drink was always filled despite how busy it was. But the sheer amount of people in the place on top of how close together the tables are made it really overwhelming. Really hard to not bump into people. I kept bumping into the people at the table next to us when I went up to get more food. The pricing was pretty good, around $ 20 each for dinner and the drinks were around $3 each. Keep in mind that you have a 90 minute limit to eat, though. The food I tried was all pretty good quality compared to surrounding buffets. The dessert was also good, I was a big fan of the little coffee cake dessert they had. I'd love to come back for lunch someday! read more

Came here for the first time and oh my god was it busy! I do have to say the customer service was great they are on top of everything. They have a good system going on getting people in and out. Numbers being called overhead. You get charged once you're in before they sit you. You get your table then they bring your drinks out and you can go get your food. Plates are at almost every corner of the food isles. I tried to taste everything but there was so much!! It was good the only thing I didn't care for was the shrimp (with the head, not of the fan of the eyes). But they don't clean out the vein and the shrimp was over cooked! Number 1 buffet is located in the Gateway Crossing plaza. I called in advance to find out if they were open on Christmas. They are open on every important holiday. They quoted me the price of the meal as well. When we arrived, you pay for your meal in advance. Prices were elevated and not what staff had quoted. Not happy, but we shrugged and paid the fee. They had special items like duck, short ribs, crab legs, salted crab, roast beef plus their usual items. Salads, dim sum, sushi, sashimi, soups, beef, pork, chicken, hibachi, veggies, and desserts. Our fave stop is the sashimi/sushi table. Staff are constantly making new sushi. Staff were very prompt to bus dishes. Lots of selections. Plenty of parking. read more

First off this place is ripping people off by charging a 12% service fee on top of whatever your bill is to pay for straws, napkins, and their employees wages is what the manager said. The manager also said it's legal because it's legal in California. The food is just mediocre for the price they charge anyway and the service is horrible. Since when is it ok to add your own fees???? Not much room to walk around and you'd probably bump into people at least once while you're there. There's a lot of food. The sushi bar is really nice. There's poke bowls and you could create your own. However, found hair in my food three times. It's about 1-2 inches, black hair. It completely ruined my appetite. I wouldn't go back since I felt rushed. I would rather go to other buffets since this one charges a service fee and I'm not sure if that's given directly to the servers or not. read more

We've passed here before and have always wanted to try. Decided to try for date night. Lots of people waiting outside and inside during Saturday night dinner rush. BUT they told us it would only be 15 minutes for 2 people. Not bad at all. Plethora of food options!! Biggest hits were the seafood! I don't recall ever having gone to a buffet as HUGE and amazing as this. So many people - I mean - this many people cannot be wrong! The vast selection of choice on offer really is quite something. I went the sushi and dessert route and was not disappointed with one single bite. The venue is well managed. Its popularity speaks to the table time limits, but the omission price is totally okay considering what's available. It's located in a big plaza, happy to see plenty of parkings. The place was nice, suitable for big groups and families. I love how many choices they offered. They got sushi, seafood, Chinese, Mongolian, Cajun, etc. I'm genuinely surprised they have sashimi, usually buffet only offer sushi but they provide protein only options. The service was quick and easy, it's a buffet so they were focusing more on self-services. The dinner price for me total at $25.87 ( A pink lemonade included I believe it was $2.99). Came in on a Sunday night around 7pm - it was lit! Came in got a # and was seated within 30 minutes which was the expected wait time. They have a good seating system, and was very organized. Probably not good for larger groups - If you come on a busy night. Ok, so on a Sunday the price for adult dinner was $19.99 and $13.99 for kids (10 yr old). For the price, not bad at all! Food was fresh and hot, they were constantly refilling the crabs and the food. You do have to pay $2.99 for soda but feee refills - holler!! 12% service is included. I would say there's a good selection of eats! I had to have the crab legs of course - they weren't as meaty but what do you expect since they're not in season. The hibachi grill was yummy especially since they're made my egg the way I wanted - still drooling over that yolk! Pork Dumplings was amazing! My husband discovered the poke bowl section after I was on my 4th round. I couldn't fit it in! lol but he said it was fresh and delish!!! First and last time being here unfortunately the service and treatment from management was not good. The manager kept coming to our table to check our receipts even though we all had them out on the table. It was chaotic inside as it was graduation week and due to that they did increase their prices and they also charge you a 12% service fee. Crab legs were 2/10. I did try the Hibachi section it was good just kinda skeptical due to the health concern of raw food being exposed and mixing up the tongs. There was no food labels to identify for example raw chicken vs pork and other raw meets they had. As for dessert they had a very limited selection compared to other food buffets. read more

Place is very busy and very bright. This could be a me issue more than the restaurant as I have a favorite near me, but I wanted to try anyplace that calls themselves #1. They have a large sushi bar, the sushi is highly stacked and a lot of options. I enjoyed the sushi, but it was stacked so high that some of it was warm as it had been sitting out for awhile. This was the common theme, a lot of the food looked GREAT, but would not be the expected temperature, the sausage, cold. The honey chicken luke warm and hard. It seemed a lot of the food was either overcooked or had been sitting too long and was now a non-ideal temperature. They have a lot of cool options, my son brought a friend, so 2, 12 yr olds, they tried foods they have never had before and enjoyed the experience. The server only refilled our drinks once and wasn't seen often, but to their credit, the place was VERY busy. Which is why the cold/temperature off food was a surprise. I arrive at this place and there's a line so I wait there patiently. They have 2 girls at 2 registers but only one is helping customers. So I wait and when it hits 3:30pm the second girl takes a group of two customers and I proceed to the first register and now they are charging dinner rate and the girl says they can't adjust the price. We arrived about 3ish, so they were still serving lunch. Lots of options, but mainly Asian food and some seafood. There were some decent items, as well as others that were one-biters (try it, didn't like it...lol). At around 3:30, they start serving the dinner foods, so there were some new items being put out. Surprisingly, almost everything we tried was either lukewarm or cold. Hubby tried some of the desserts and was mostly disappointed. He did enjoy a Tiramisu cake, so that's good. The service was good, our drinks were refilled and dirty plates taken away immediately. The restaurant is very big, so you don't feel like people are sitting right up next to you...lots of room to move around the buffet tables. Here's a tip for anyone getting some of the seafood. I like cocktail sauce and didn't see it anywhere near the shrimp. Surprise, it's over by the salad dressings! I have no idea why it was over there, at a completely separate table. I was there with family last night had an extra charge of an extra person that didn't show up. I told cashier and I had paid cash 100 dollars and card 112 dollars. At total of 212, she told me I would have to pay again and If I was okay with paying double and waiting for the refund. Of course I was not okay with paying double! What was not good was the 12% service charge tacked on the bill! In Arizona this is a legal charge. What is not legal is FAILURE TO DISCLOSE SAID CHARGE WHEN BEING BILLED! This charge would not have prevented our eating here. But management obviously needs to train the staff to disclose this charge. But I am sure they purposefully fail to disclose this. My family is large -- typically 8-10 people -- and we even drive nearly an hour each time specifically because the restaurant has always been clean, consistent, and offered great variety. I have also brought many out-of-state visitors here because I trusted the quality. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing. When we arrived, I paid at the front like always, including beverages for everyone. The cashier even repeated the beverage order multiple times. However, once we were seated, we were only given one drink and water. When I asked for the remaining beverages, I was told they were not paid for -- despite the cashier confirming the order. During our meal, one of my relatives found a long piece of hair in their food. I approached the manager to inform him, not to ask for a refund or any compensation, but simply to make him aware so it could be addressed properly for cleanliness and sanitization. Instead of listening, the manager immediately raised his voice and began arguing with me in front of everyone. He claimed he "cannot control customers," insisted the hair must have come from another customer, and repeated that I had to pay again for the beverages that were already included in the order. At no point did he apologize or show any concern. What made the situation worse is that he had been standing behind me earlier, clearly hearing my conversation with the waitress requesting a manager, yet he only approached once confronted -- and in the most unprofessional way. His behavior was careless, dismissive, and completely unacceptable, especially toward loyal customers who continue to support the business regularly. I left extremely disappointed and unhappy with this visit. At this point, it is their loss, as I will be taking my business elsewhere and will no longer recommend this restaurant to friends, family, or visitors. Really rude staff with racial undertones. On two different occasions the front staff was rude to my family they went as far as to calling the police with a lie about my daughter. The manager on duty was no help and we requested a full refund, they were told that if my daughter has leave then we all would leave, the owner was called and in the end the owner said we didn't have to leave. It was great! We live local and grateful there's a buffet with an array of selections. I was mainly here for the seafood and was very satisfied. Got full off of crab legs and sashimi. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. Salmon was very fatty. Prices were great. We celebrated Mother's Day and it was $29 per person. Service as quick, much respect to the hosting staff for getting everyone seated. Our plates were cleared away quick and drinks were constantly refilled. my mom and I love coming here usually. I get it today was thanksgiving. My main complaint is that we had 3 adults and 2 kids. For the three adults total is about $120 ($39.99 each) and 2 kids (6-8 yrs old $15.99) about $32. The cashier than asked if any kids were eating lobster tail we said NO. she didn't ask us that (adults) our total had came out to $205 and I was concerned on why it was so much because it should have been around $152. I then ask why was it so much and get pink tickets. She said it was automatic that the lobster is automatic charge onto each adult. We then ask again before we get seated and we're told don't worry about it it's included in the $39.99??? Which made no sense because it clearly says on your sign EXTRA ADD ON LOBSTER TAIL $18.99 per person. The automatic charge for something we didn't want and we didn't even eat the lobster was insane. This place is insanely busy! Went on a Sunday afternoon and omg this place is poppin'. They know how to efficiently get people in and out and have a number system. Wait time was estimated 25 minutes and it wasn't bad. They definitely need more space for a waiting area. Once my boyfriend and I's number got called you get escorted to pay then escorted to your table. It's a really nice clean buffet compared to other Asian buffets and has just about everything the same I can get at Pacific but they do have more selection at the sushi spot, more seafood choices (we went Sunday so you'd probably see it Sunday or dinner time). With how busy it was you know the food was kept rotating and fresh. Price wasn't bad but did notice that service fee they sneakily add to your receipt. It wasn't a bad buffet.
