We ate here after the games, this Sunday because we had seen a Tik Tok showing the Hibachi style food. The restaurant was not that crowded but the service was slow ..she was the hostess, the server and she was clearing off the tables. The ambience is OK, it's really dark. But it fits with the theme. They have music playing & it's perfect for South Central Phoenix. The food was good, we ate it all. I wish they had better sauces. We did not like any of them.

Strawberry Margarita /Mango Margarita - The image shows two cocktails on a dark, possibly wooden, table in a restaurant or bar setting. The cocktail in the foreground is pinkish with ice, garnished with a cherry and a salted rim. The second cocktail, further back, is yellow with a straw and appears to have a frothy top. There is a glass of water and a red bowl with a white spoon on the table, and some other items are partially visible in the background.

Aesthetically pleasing decor, great for pictures. Server was attentive and made our drinks right in front of us . Her ratio of flavor and liquor was nice. The food was well cooked and reason for the 4 stars is the lack of seasoning. Sadly the food lacked the flavor

A pink cocktail in a coupe glass is positioned on a white napkin on a dark table. The drink is garnished with small red pieces on top. A small sign reading 'RESERVED' is placed next to the glass. The background shows a dimly lit room with chairs and a lamp, suggesting a restaurant or bar setting.

Martini was amazing! Beer was ice cold! This location is a restaurant not food truck. Our server was super sweet and definitely will be back for more delicious food! Salmon rice & veggies were delicious! Cool ambience and love the music!

Teriyaki Chicken Combo - A clear plastic takeout container from EZBACHI, with a logo depicting a ninja figure and the slogan 'Everybody Eats!', holds a meal consisting of rice, shrimp, chopped vegetables, and grilled chicken pieces. The container's lid is foggy with condensation, indicating the food is hot or recently packaged.

This review is for the food truck parked at Northern & 51st Ave. About 10 on a Saturday night and was leaving our neighborhood joint to find this food truck parked in the lot. As we got closer to our vehicle the delicious smells reeled us in. One other person in line. Be prepared it's a little pricey, about $20+ a person depending on your protein choice. I opted for the teriyaki chicken combo and a side of signature garlic butter. Took about five minutes as I watched them prepare my plate thru the large glass window. Drove the five minutes home. The portion side appeared large but it was a lot of rice. Three very tasty shrimp with a decent serving of nicely charred grilled chicken cut into bite size pieces. The shrimp was the star, the chicken cooked nicely but could have used way more teriyaki sauce. Rice was good but I made the mistake of pouring the melted side of garlic butter over it. Even though the butter was good the garlic overpowered the delicately seasoned rice. I probably wouldn't order the butter again and if all of the sauces come in a tiny cup like the butter did they aren't worth the $1 extra. Overall it was a good late night meal and I'm excited to try the restaurant they are opening in the same strip mall they were parked in.

    Got mine with the noodles!

Food was super good! Got the tri bowl with steak, chicken and shrimp. Everything was perfect

The customer provides feedback about a rice dish and requests a refund or replacement. The business responds that they are assisting other customers and mentions a wait time of 50 minutes for a remake or discount. I have been coming to Ez-Bachi's central food truck location for a while now, and always got the same item. As of the past 4 months the food has been incredibly inconsistent. This last and final trip I made, I ordered in advance via text and was told it would be a 35 min wait about 7 mins after I ordered. Fine, I ran some errands and got there right as the food was ready. I wish I would have looked at the food before I left!!! I ordered a filet entree cooked medium, got well done charred meat, that was chewy and dry. The rice was flavorless, almost tasted like white rice. The portion of meat was lighter than usual. This is about the 3rd time now I've received bland flavorless food. Usually you can smell the food the whole drive home from the garlic butter, not anymore. Not to mention, I've had hair in my food in the past, as have many others on Yelp apparently, but never said anything because it happens. Now, flavorless overcooked food 3 times.. I am done giving them opportunities to redeem themselves after the customer service interaction I had today. I posted the text, as I tried to be courteous and provide my complaint via text vs. Yelp. Pointless, I was told to step to the back of the line (wait 50 minutes for a refire) and they would essentially fix the issue when they felt like it. No urgency, no apology, no care to even fix the issue.. instead offer me a discount after I sent a photo, a description of the issue, and offered to drive the meal back. What a joke. I don't like to leave reviews, even after I voted for them as best food truck (and wish I could take that back)... this has been pathetic customer service at that. At this point, I've thrown the food away and will not be back, nor will I continue to recommend them to locals.

Shrimp and steak udon noodle plate - A black bowl holds a dish with shrimp, pieces of steak, thick udon noodles, broccoli florets, and other ingredients. The dish appears to be a stir-fry or hibachi-style meal, served in a takeout container, with a variety of textures and colors from the seafood, meat, vegetables, and noodles.

This food truck is a must try! I had been following EZBachi on instagram for some time now. I finally got the chance to track it down and try it, and now it's one of my go to's. Trust me when I say, please try the shrimp and steak udon noodle plate. It's soo good. The portions are very filling and the quality of the protein is worth the price. They post their locations on Instagram so make sure to stop by when they are at a location near you.

On a recent trip to Phoenix I had the chance to eat here. Wow, the food was better than expected and the homemade sauces could be bottled and sold to stores.

Wow!! What an incredible experience we had at Kasai Scottsdale…read more This place has a very luxurious feel and the service is top notch. We came in for a birthday party & got one of the Teppanyaki tables. Our waiter was awesome & the Chef for the table was well suited for the job! He was so fun and cracked a lot of jokes that everyone enjoyed. He kept everyone engaged throughout the entire experience. He made everyone at the table catch rice in their mouths- even if it took 5-6 tries per person The food was delicious - the portions were on point. The prices were fair. It's on expensive side, but part of the cost is definitely for the experience, which is well worth it. All in all, everyone had an amazing time. This is the perfect place to come with a group to share some laughs and create a memory that nobody will forget. It is so fun to see your meal cooked right before your eyes & interact with the chef throughout. I've been to similar places in the past & none of them compare to Kasai! We will definitely be back!

The price was confusing. $30 service charge?? And that's not inclusive of tip? Our total bill was $178 so that would be a 16% service charge which is insane. Usually service charges are a few percent to help cover small costs like cc processing, to-go packaging, things like that. So then on top of that I had to tip of course as I don't want to not give the chef nothing. Just seems a bit extreme. Everything is already on the expensive side which is fine as it's a nice restaurant but the additional service charge was too much. Also the percentage options were incorrect. The amount it told me to tip to make it 18% was actually 26%. Probably an issue with their POS and not them but seems like a money grab and something they should prioritize fixing.

When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The musubi was giant to say the least, it was good, but offered a bit too much rice. Overall the food and service was great and we were very happy that we ended up here!

On a Sunday evening, after checking out the Desert Botanical Garden, I was looking for some food in…read morethe area. I came across Zu Izakaya and it's great reviews as one of the options. I love Japanese food so my decision was made. I drove over and parked in their complimentary lot. Ambiance (3.5/5): I've been to Japan and there are plenty of izakayas there. Think of them as small bars which often serve solid food. Zu fits that bit. It's a relatively small restaurant, probably seats about 30 people. and it's pretty no frills for a Japanese spot. I was seated at a booth in the corner of the restaurant. They have free WiFi which is always a good touch. Service (3/5): Service was friendly, though a bit inconsistent. My waitress wasn't as attentive as I would have liked. The type of service where you have to flag them down to get what you want and to close out. Drinks (4/5): Zu has a nice menu of Japanese and Korean beverages, including sake, soju, Japanese beer, and more. With that being said, I just had an iced green tea. Food (4/5): I got a nice variety. I went with the Japanese sausage off of the grill menu, the OBI mayo roll off of the sushi menu, and the cheese corn off of the appetizer menu. Let's start with the sausage. It's a small item, two small sausages, but absolutely delicious. The sausage was bursting with flavor and basted in a sweet sauce. Minus the portion size, perfection. The cheese corn also hit the spot, but the execution was off. The corn is served on a hot platter, and unfortunately some of the corn on the edges was badly burnt. The type of situation where they should start over. Which they didn't. Lastly, the OBI mayo roll is essentially a California roll with marinated warm shrimp on top in a mayo sauce. I didn't love the hot and cold combo (shrimp and sushi), but outside of the temperature, it was a delicious roll. All in all, a very food meal. My only gripe with Japanese food is that it can get expensive quick. Given that Zu is in Tempe, I was hoping that prices would be a little cheaper. With that being said, they do have a solid happy hour (and reverse happy hour) with both food and drink specials. Next time I stop by, I'd like to check out some of their Korean options. I focused on the Japanese stuff this time (which makes the majority of the menu). Next time around, the bulgogi is calling my name!

I also ordered the miso soup to start. The food came out quickly. My only "complaint" is there aren't a ton of classic roll options. But this is a more upscale sushi restaurant, so it isn't surprising. I will keep this place in my list of spots to hit when I'm looking for a bite to eat in DTPHX.

My favorite was honestly the wagyu nigiri and uni nigiri, but everything was delicious. I loved the scallops temaki, loved the mango roll (something different) and the toro sashimi. The burnt cheesecake with caviar was also a hit! My friend got the "oh my god" roll which was a fascinating presentation and she got her mochi ice cream which was also very light and refreshing. I would definitely come back despite the little hiccup!

The soup was mediocre, the salad dressing tasted like French dressing not a Japanese dressing. While we were eating the soup the chef came to start cooking, he sprayed the cooktop and the flames that ensued made me and my mom jump back, I felt like my face was on fire. He had raw seafood, steak and chicken all on the same platter. He didn't season any of it, just kept slathering it with some thick teriyaki type sauce. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked. I ate one scallop and the second one made me gag so bad I had to spit it back out into my hand. I have never eaten something that made me feel like I was going to vomit right there on my plate. I feel like I need to also mention the creepy big plastic doll heads. I thought they were for decoration but I noticed people were actually wearing them sitting at their tables. The other thing that totally turned me off was the bottle that the chef used to squirt oil or water or whatever on the grill had a lid on it that depicts a baby at a toilet urinating. So it looks like it is doing that on the food. That to me was so classless and just gross. I will never ever go back there. I'm so sorry we cheated on Benihana's. We requested for it to be cooked rare, and it was cooked to perfection. It was flavorful without being overpowering and had a nice texture. I also really liked the Pork Belly and Cremini Mushroom, which was recommended by our server. I wasn't a big fan of the Butterfish Tataki but my fiance really liked that one. Every dish was great. However, I ordered the Sushi Platter which was Chef Selected. I was disappointed because I was hoping to get a good variety, but I ended up getting salmon, hamachi, and tuna - for both sashimi and nigiri! That was really disappointing because I really just had 4 pieces of each plus the 2 tuna handroll with roe. These all cost $125!! Which I think is absurd for the types of sushi I got! The quality of the fish was great, but I could have gone to a different place for the same selection and half the price I paid! Such a bummer since I was really looking forward to the sushi.
