I was actually quite impressed. I came for Saturday lunch (~15.95 + tax). Started with orange chicken, seafood delight, hot and sour soup, lo mein, and a couple of eggrolls. Everything was decent and good flavor. On the second round, I tried the teriyaki chicken style skewers and a few other items in the Chinese section. I was really quite impressed with the chicken skewers - huge portions of dark meat and very fresh. Buffet trays were clean and constantly being re-stocked. As some have mentioned, there is a lot of seafood - halibut, crab, shrimp - did not try everything b/c I was already full. The sushi was probably a 4/10 - but I don't expect good sushi from these kind of places (I only tried spicy tuna). Finished with some fruit and jello. Honestly, in 2026, for a few bucks more than a tiny plate at Panda Express, it's hard to beat this. Saturday around 2pm and the place was crowded. read more

Red Dragon Buffet - Some of the options in the main line - Buffets Near Me - Avondale, Arizona

Casual atmosphere with several different food options. From sushi and traditional Chinese food soups to different desserts. With five different buffet lines to choose from, everybody could find their fill. The staff was courteous and helpful, and they split the check when we went up to the counter, making it appropriate for both large and small gatherings. Everything is self-serve. I would suggest that people should observe what their children are grabbing or doing on the buffet. The serving staff was great about correcting anything that the unattended children had contaminated. read more

First time trying and definitely not my last! 15$ for lunch and let me say...It was definitely worth it!! The food was fresh and delicious!! The taste is just ok. The dishes looks all saugy. Not much of choices. The service was nice.

My husband and I come quite often. They have great food at a good price and lots to pick from. The employees are always good natured. My only complaint is the lack of low-fat or non-fat protein. I really like shrimp they have lots of shrimp, but it's all covered in fat. If you guys would just put some in the salad bar that's just been boiled that would be great. I don't have a gallbladder so eating anything with a lot of fat is hard on me. So I have to use napkins to soak up as much fat off the shrimp as possible. read more

I was greeted immediately by one of the friendly staff and she seated me at a perfect booth with plenty of room and close to the large screen TV. She quickly brought me my drink. The food choices are amazing and everything is very clean and modern. The decor is pleasantly oriental. The service is great. She removed my empty dishes while I went up for seconds. And she checked on me often to see if I needed my drink refilled. When I finished, I didn't have to wait for the check. And she quickly returned to cash me out. A very enjoyable evening! I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Friday night dinner at 7:30PM. The restaurant was full and clean and comfortable. The quality of the food was definitely 5 stars. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The hot food was hot and delicious, I really liked the many seafood options! Sushi was fresh and tasty. The service was also good. Waitress gave prompt refills and asked how things tasted! Overall great, will go again soon. read more

We got there when it opened. Food was fresh and hot. Plentiful selection and ready to eat. Dining area was clean and staff was attentive to our needs. Ii would definitely come back. read more

Let me say first off the service was amazing, the food was OK and the store was pretty clean. I like to eat regular chicken there and their chicken was so hard. I could hardly eat it as a crunchy and fried chicken I believe, but it was just too hard. I didn't like the soup that I usually get as it had a a funny taste of it. read more

Second visit to this restaurant. The lunch price is good until 4 PM. If you are one minute after four they will charge you dinner price which is four dollars more. Food is decent. Service is good. Not a bad option. Lots of choices. read more

We've been wanting to try this place for a few months now. Today we tried it and immediately regretted it. First and last time we come here. I don't understand how they're even selling food. Everything was disgusting, we basically ran out of there with instant stomach pain. My husband felt like throwing up and did as soon as we got home. I would never recommend it to any family or friends!! Don't waste your money. But if you decide to go and notice that weird smell when you walk in - trust your instinct and just walk right out! read more

Great food everyone is constantly cleaning and tidying up the bar. Customer service was nice.

The food is definitely a hit or miss. When it's good it's good and when it's not it's not. The problem is: when it's good and you get a lot of a dish, they literally will stare at you like from a close distance. Straight staring and pointing. I got a plate of crawfish and one lady was assigned to stare at me So uncomfy read more

Good food when it's busy. Some dishes are hit and miss when it's slower. Staff is always friendly. Hood sushi options. Miss the Mongolian BBQ since Covid they closed it. Atmosphere is casual and kind of shabby. But it's a buffet so... read more

Pretty decently priced for the quality of food here. We spent not even $40 for two dinners and fountain drinks. Don't expect standout food, but it gets the job done! Decor was cute, the place was quaint, and the service was nice. Will probably be returning. read more

Good, not great Asian buffet. Good variety of food choices. I love the orange chicken. Food is mostly hot. Decent desserts. Service good at removing finished plates and refilling drinks. Price is very fair. read more

My son loves red dragon buffet, it is a great family dining experience. Excellent selection of items to choose from.

Meh, not bad. I would also say not great, but does have an advantage. When I feel like Chinese food, I want a variety. Red Dragon certainly has that. If I were to order the kind of variety that I felt like at a regular Chinese restaurant, I'd be looking at 100 bucks. Here I can have my fill of anything from sushi, Chinese dishes, desserts and more, much more affordably. I do wish they had those little round sausage dumplings though. More dumplings! Also some other mixed Asian would be nice like Korean Galbi. Last, the service was slow. There was no one up front and no one was in a hurry to show us a table. Our drink orders did come quickly, but when finished our meals, we still didn't have our ticket. We had to go up front to get ask for it. I do think it would be a better value if I were a bigger eater. I'm a one plate and I'm done kind of guy! They love me there! Still, it is nice to try something different and have the variety offered by Red Dragon. read more

After long day driving we were hungry for some quick Chinese food. After reading reviews we took a chance on Red Dragon and so glad we did. Buffet was awesome. Food was fresh, bountiful, great variety and lots of shrimp and fish as well as chicken and beef dishes. Restaurant was clean and service was great. We will be going back before we head back to Ca. read more

quick seating. the atmosphere is okay ~its not noisy. the food is plentiful and quickly filled trays. they keep the place clean. My family and extended family come her quite often 2-3 times a month. its about 25 a person (adult) but we feel its worth it. no coupons, no discounts (senior military ect) & no bull. read more

(Truck Drivers do not go here) I made a bad judgement call, the food was bland, for a moment I thought something was wrong with my taste buds, the people constantly clean their dirty carpet, I wasn't there for 20 minutes and they started asking me. Did I want the check, they were verytacky. Everyone spoke a different language and they kept giggling. (Number one buffet is way better). 23.36$ wasn't worth it not sorry! read more

the price listed on their website is not accurate. it was $19 a person instead of $12. we had a decent time but we went there because it seemed well priced for our large party. waitress was very attentive and refilled drinks frequently. food was alright, nothing stood out as really great or really bad. but it wasn't worth how much we paid and we left feeling deceived. they have a sign saying "do not post our prices online" to keep up their deception read more

Disgusting zero stars All shrimp was filled with excrement All food tasted rancid and made me and my husband very sick . Mushrooms tasted like bleach ! One plate was eaten and we asked to pay for 1 person and they said no and it was $50.00 for NOTHING ! I will be reporting this restaurant to the usda and maricopa environmental services . Not very clean, and the water under the food was disgusting .Id rather eat at a food truck .. will never go here again read more

I rate Chinese buffets different that other Asian food establishments. It is usually a case of quantity over quality. I always take that with a grain of salt. For a buffet, Red Dragon does a decent job of balancing the two. Many of the employees were eating the buffet food during their breaks. That is always a good sign that things are on the up and up. Foods that we tried were warm to hot. The only exception was the sushi. That was nice and cold. Multiple buffets ment lots of food to choose from. Food was brought out fairly frequently. Our favorite chicken dish was the teppanyaki chicken. Veggie spring rolls were crisp on the outside. Fresh fruit was ripe and juicy. Ice cream, cakes and pastries are available for dessert. This restaurant is taking cleanliness further than I have seen any restaurant during COVID times. Masks are required. Employees are wearing masks. Disposable gloves are required at the buffet. Glove are provided where the dishes are. Tables were cleaned between visitors. read more

I must start my review with what I heard, and it was all positive that is what made me drive all the way to Red Dragon restaurant which was a 11/2 hour drive from me, because I live out in the middle of nowhere, and when it comes to eating out especially Asian food the choices are few far between. So that said we arrived to the restaurant and the parking was ridiculous to say the least, di not park in front of the restaurant because it is very narrow and people don't watch what they are doing and I saw many near misses with people almost wrecking into each other. We parked behind & around the back of the restaurant plenty if room no cars around because people are lazy and can't seem to walk a few steps around to the door, I take care if my new car so I don't mind walking a few extra steps to prevent someone running into my car. There was no line plenty of seating and this was a Sunday afternoon, but the food was limited, it takes them awhile to replenish the empty trays, the sushi area OMG the guy was very very very slow making the sushi I never got any, because everytime he made a few they were gone & all the trays were empty never making enough for more than one person. The restrooms were a total pug sty no soap, over filled trash cans, and no paper towels. The food was not good as I had heard about, but then again they probably have a simple pallet. Me on the other hand have been to many different Asian restaurants and I know a good one when I taste it this was not, and I gave it 2 stars only because the staff was nice, the place was semi clean, but the food fell very short on variety, efficiency, and flavor. So beware before you go don't expect very much from this place except for if your in the mood for Asian buffet it might fill the void, but try other Asian restaurants in the area that's what I'm going to do til I find one that I like. read more

we have been going to the Red Dragon for years and been happy, but our last three visits have been very disappointing. We always go at lunch around 12:45. The hot food is no longer hot. Most dishes were actually room temperature. Even the fried egg rolls and chicken wings were barely lukewarm. We gave them three chances over 5 weeks to improve and no results. Each time we complained and just got a shoulder shrug in return. will not be back. read more

Pretty good selection of dishes to choose from. Not a big place but still a decent amount of food. Everything was fresh and servers came by frequently for drinks and plate clearing. It was quiet and not too packed either. Overall really good since it's hard to find any good Chinese places anymore. Prices were a bit more than we were expecting but not by much. read more

Everything was off. The rice had a horrible aftertaste. The vegetable spring rolls were a strange flavor. So next I tried some sushi. It was old. It was rubbery and had hard baby carrots inside. There were black spots on them. This is our third try . The bill was $93 for two adults and two grandkids. NEVER AGAIN. Lesson learned. I would never recommend this restaurant. It's awful!! read more

Service kinda okay but food really sucks to be honest... After 2nd plate I was done really didn't eat the first plate all the food is cold and food has been sitting for some time because chicken was dry and hard and spring rolls felt like chewing on rubber the crab tasted weird and fried rice was very bland no taste... I had to spit my food out and waitress saw and asked me if everything was ok I lied and said all ok but really I just wanted to leave...My total bill was 67.00 plus 10.00 tip so 77.00 for crappy old food I hope I don't get the shits or get sick! I can't recommend this place to anyone or my enemies! read more

Went for lunch with grandmother. Atmosphere was brightly lit and easy to traverse the buffet tables. We took a sampling of each of the items, sadly the majority of them were dried out from being under the lamps/steam tables. For the price, it was...adequate. Nothing that my family would, crave. Just a bit lackluster. There is a variety of chicken dishes, mostly fried (fair warning), 1 fried scallop dish, steamed clams, a stuffed clamshell dish, 1 steamed fish (boneless), a variety of veggie dishes, the usual appetizers, egg rolls, potstickers, wonton and char sui bao. Sushi bar was mostly passed over by us, the rolls didn't appear fresh. Dessert table had a variety of various ice cream flavors and about half a dozen cakes/cookies. The other half of table has fruit, both fresh and canned along with a couple puddings. Quantity of dishes were there, the quality was not. Service at establishment was extremely attentive. Provided recommendations and kept our tables uncluttered with plates. I should have read reviews before attempting this venture, but most times, people are in hurry to spew out pleasure/displeasure, so it's hard to differentiate true emotions. It is an experience, I will probably choose to forego next time. Enjoy, but be selective! read more

I was getting an oil change nearby and needed somewhere to spend some time. Not much indication of life from the outside but looked up reviews and was encouraged to go in by what I read. You can skip the following details if you are in a hurry and just know that I was glad that I went and I will probably return at least once more with family for lunch. Stepping inside I was pleasantly surprised with the size and cleanliness of this sit down buffet.. It was very large so there was LOTS of open space and lots of food choices available for lunch. The cleanliness was the biggest plus and gets 1 star, the number of food options was the 2nd star, the quality was better than I expected for a buffet so 1 star (I wasn't expecting much), the price and friendliness of hostess was the 4th star. She did not refill my drink soon enough but did not really need a second drink because the glasses were large. She did let me take the drink to go. Lunch time price was very reasonable. I was finishing as it was about to turn over to dinner time and people statures pouring in to eat at the lunch time pricing. I have no idea how much dinner was. read more

Average at best Chinese food. Bland flavor and it's 1 and done for me and my family. May Garden is by far the best Chinese food buffet read more

We've been here a few times and I finally have a chance to add a review. This Chinese Buffet has a selection of many items to try and enjoy. Tonight my other half was glad to see crab legs on the buffet line. Boy was he happy They have shrimp served numerous ways. Fried and battered, boiled, mixed with vegetables , boiled, etc. Theres also crab, and my other half likes the crab appetizers. Those are breaded and fried but what he loves is that there is large pieces of crab inside. I think the fact that my guy is a huge fish eater, he feels like he hit the jackpot here. And that makes me happy. For me, the meatless selections are minimal. I make due. I was hoping for at least a steamed mixed veg dish, but alas, no. I did ask the last time we were here, and our server asked but the cook told her no (sigh) Granted, this is COVID-19 season and businesses have changed the way they normally would do things and I think this is the case here. One buffet line is empty but has labels on a number of items that are currently off the menu. What the two of us did notice is they keep the place clean. Our server was constantly cleaning/disinfecing the tables, sweeping up and reminding diners to use gloves as they get ready to use the buffet lines. My hubs loves fish, so I'm sure we'll be back. read more

A co worker sugged this Buffet when I had a hankering for Chinese food. Well let me tell I was not disappointed. It is very very clean. You have to wear Disposable gloves to serve your self. That's a big plus in this COVID infested World. The food was on point. Lots of seafood and really good food. The staff was exceptional. The prices very Reasonable. I would highly recommend you dine here. I will definitely be going back to this place. My co worker and I review restaurants. read more

The service seems kind of rude. Perhaps there could be a language barrier. Perhaps the servers are pissed off? Who knows but they are decent at keeping your drink filled. One steam table is completely barren which cuts down the selection considerably. The food itself is pretty bland. And the price has gone up quite a bit. Over $40 for 2 people for lunch. The ambiance is a mixture of Asian. American. And has TVs randomly placed in a couple areas of the restaurant. Good Asian food....kind of. Quick bite every now and then it's worth the stop. read more

I definitely would not recommend eating here. The food was mediocre and that's being generous. It was lukewarm and the buffet had limited selections and small portions of food which were unappetizing. I had hot n sour soup, which was anything but "hot". I didn't eat anything else and I paid the full price for the buffet...the waitress didn't notice or didn't care to inquire if everything was okay. The service was meehhh. No ambiance at all. Two words 1. Just 2. Don't! read more

Service was HORRIBLE!! Management came out during our meal yelling and aggressively telling another customer that he had to leave because their cooks were upset that he was eating a lot of the same food. Isn't this supposed to be an "ALL YOU CAN EAT" buffet? This place needs to change their policy because the only rules that were stated is that you don't waste any food. The customer that was being so rudely spoken to had 4 empty plates; Nothing appeared to be wasted. Not only was the situation handled inappropriately it was also done in front of my 3 young children and there were other families dining during this time with small children of their own and it wasn't an atmosphere you would want your family and children to be subjected too while having dinner. I wouldn't recommend this establishment. No one wants to hear or see confrontations during a meal. My husband and I decided to leave shortly after the whole situation erupted and took the kids to get their favorite.. "pizza" lol read more
