    60 Lok Lak

My expectations were low as it was empty walking in for early dinner, but now I believe people are missing out. Truly a gem spot! The plain wings appetizer were perfectly lightly crispy. The lok lak is my favorite, the flavors were so flavorful and went very well with rice. The coconut soup has had to be the best I've had, the flavors were just immaculate. Our server was very helpful and packed our food neatly.

This is our first adventure to try Cambodian food. We selected this spot due to the variety of food from different countries. The food was hot and flavorful. What a variety! The hardest part was deciding what to order. The service was fast and friendly. We will return again and bring friends.

We were excited to find Aspara. They are buried back in a shopping center and I never knew they were there. They are located where the old Thai Gourmet used to be. This restaurant offers both Thai and Cambodian fare which I thought was cool. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The server appeared fairly new but was attentive and pleasant. For starers, we ordered the mini egg rolls (Lorts). They were similar to Philippine Lumpia and really good. We ate all eight! For our main course, we got shrimp lo mein, chicken curry soup and Mongolian beef. The curry was so spicy hot that we were warned that if we couldn't eat it, they wouldn't refund. I thought the lo mein was really good and loved the bean sprouts that were included in the dish. The Mongolian beef was a little bit of a surprise for me. It was good, but very sweet. It tasted like it was heavily sauced Hoisin. But, a lot of Thai dishes are sweet, so this was an interesting twist. I thought everything was good and enjoyed our visit. I would definitely return to try the host of other dishes. Definitely a must try.

I was visiting my friend in PHX and dinner time came around. No one knew what to eat and my partner found this local Cambodian spot and we were all on board. We got there about an hour before closing yet were still made to feel welcome and had no issues ordering and eating in. This seems to be a casual, family run business and even while we were there, we noticed some of the children of the team around and the team overall just seeming happy. Our waiter was a lot of fun and provided good recommendations and was social with us. We ended up going for the beef skewers, thai crispy wings, pineapple fried rice, and phnom phen (dry). Everything was super delicious, which was a pleasant surprise for us in like outskirts of Pheonix. The beef skewers had a wonderful char and aromatic flavors. The thai crispy wings were super crisp yet covered in a light, flavorful sauce. The pineapple fried rice was also a good portion and tasted great. The phnom phen had a good portion of protein and still very tasty noodles. There were so many other dishes I'd like to try but after having these, I feel like I've already found some staples. Anyway, this is definitely a gem of a restaurant and should not be missed. The food was amazing and flavors were well balanced. The prices were also good for the amount of food we got (and we had leftovers for another meal). I'll definitely be making this a regular stop in PHX.

First time having Cambodian cuisine and I've loved this place. I keep coming back trying something new every time. Lina was very helpful in recommendations on most my visits. All staff very friendly and eager to explain the menu. The ambiance with Cambodian jams playing while I eat take me to far off land I've never been too.

Stopped for dinner before going to the Tianyu lights festival and this did not disappoint. This was such a unique flavor profile in these dishes. We got the Angel Wings and Nam Ya. It was incredibly filling and we certainly didn't leave hungry. The service was fast and friendly and the decor was really fun to look at. Definitely recommend a visit.

The only Cambodian restaurant in the valley and it is very delicious. Seriously, I was impressed when I visited. Will be coming back.

Casual restaurant serving a variety of Asian fare, including Chinese, Thai, and Cambodian noodle dishes.  I walked in for lunch, it was empty. I was told to grab any seat. The server was nice and super friendly. I got the appetizer Crispy Wings & the lunch special Beef Lo Mein Lunch (comes with a wonton soup). Glad to see they had people coming in to pick up to go orders. It was very quiet with some music on.

We truly enjoyed our meal here! It was our first time and we wanted to try a bunch of dishes. We got the scallion pancakes, beef skewers, and Thai crispy wings to start. All delicious but the wings were our favorite. They're the crispiest/crunchiest wings we've ever had and they had a nice spicy kick. My husband got the Cambodian beef salad and I got the chicken lo mein. So delicious! I also enjoyed a strawberry smoothie. Of course we had to finish the meal with the mango sticky rice. Customer service was amazing as well! We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Service - 4: Quick and kind. Server did disappear for a while though. But nonetheless, efficient. Ambiance - 3.5: Dim and clean. Playing Khmer music but it stopped for a while so everyone in the establishment was whispering because it was awkward to talk louder. Decor had many traditional items and was set for large and small parties. Food - 4: Amok was underseasoned and needed salt. I added spice to bump up the flavor profile. I'm used to more seasoning, more makrut lime leaves with a hint of sweetness from peppers. But it was packed with like 3 full filets of fish so its a healthy portion despite it's appearance. Nice aromatics from the banana leaf too. As for the Sach Ko, it's nicely browned with yummy charred bits. However it's too sweet for me. I'm used to more seasoning with a stronger savory flavor. The chhrouk was a nice accompaniment although I could have used some more since I wasnt even half way through my skewers before I was out of vegetables. Overall the whole meal was traditional and very nice to see. This is a nice entry for people looking to ease their way in to southeast Asian cuisine. If I come back I need to try their Phnom Penh Noodles, Lort Cha, Babaw and Nom Banh Chok

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

My last visit this month for an order of shrimp fried rice was my final straw and I will find somewhere else to find some food. It has been a very slow spiral downward with the quality of food. I am talking years where the consistency was slipping. Then last month it was as if they forgot what they were doing. What was served to me was edible, but nowhere near what I have been given in the past. I hope it was a bad day for the kitchen for the establishment's sake! Call in takeout orders have been a speed bump. You call in and you're quoted a time of when your order will be ready. You pay for your order when you get there. Then the clock starts. It totally defeats the purpose of the original quoted timeframe.

Today, I decided to give it a chance, and I'm so glad I did. I'm giving this place its flowers mostly because of the hospitality I received. From the moment I walked in, the employee working front of house was SO NICE. We were greeted with warmth and promptly seated. Waters came out quickly, and after ordering, aforementioned employee offered us complimentary soup. Throughout our dining experience, the way he treated us told me, "I'm glad you're dining with us, and I want to make sure you come back." He thanked us profusely for coming in and said goodbye a couple times. I just love when the customer service shines. The interior is super clean. All the furniture is in good condition, tables and floors were immaculate, and the decor was tasteful. There's enough seating for probably 12 groups, maybe more. Each table has napkins, soy sauce, and Sriracha, which I appreciated. The most expensive dish I saw on the menu was $16.95. Considering we're living in a time when you can easily spend that much in a drive-thru, I knew I was going to be happy with whatever I chose. I got two entrees: Mongolian beef and orange tofu. We were served complimentary egg drop soup, which was delicious. We were also provided a generous amount of white rice, and I'm assuming since I ordered the beef extra spicy, he also brought a side of chili oil, which made me extremely happy. When the entrees came out, they were hot off the wok (or flat top... who knows) and ab-so-lutely delicious. The Mongolian beef had a lovely sauce and lots of onions, both white and scallions. My only criticism is that the beef itself didn't have the trademark crispy texture. Maybe they didn't use enough cornstarch or didn't let it crisp up enough before adding the other ingredients. Even so, it was good and tender. The orange tofu stole the show, though. They successfully got the outside nice and crispy, and it held up in the amazing orange sauce. I didn't choose this dish, but I will absolutely get it again. For less than $30 before tax and gratuity, two people ate until full AND we left with two heaping boxes of leftovers. Our waiter even offered us additional rice to make sure we had enough to go with our leftovers. We had plenty, but it's another great example of the abundant hospitality. This wasn't the most amazing pan Asian cuisine I've ever had. However, it surprised and delighted me that it was so good for the value. That coupled with the service will absolutely ensure I go back.

The wonton and the eggroll were really good and flavorful. The soup was very lackluster. It was supposed to be like a egg drop soup with corn in it. It was very gamey. The chicken in it was just gross. The house chow mein was decent. The sauce was good. The noodles were good. The shrimp was good. The chicken was good, but the beef was very lackluster. It was big chunks of hard beef that you could not chew on. I had to throw those out. It just wasn't a good either choice. I'll give them another shot, but it's very lackluster and disappointing for the price.
