We walked in and got sat! I didn't get the servers name but he was so friendly! I got the paid Thai with chicken level 4 spice and it was SO good! and my fiance got the house pad Thai which was chicken and shrimp! We didn't realize the portions were so big so we didn't finish and got it to go but it was so good! We also got many sticky rice that was I wish I had room to eat it there so I took it to go! Would definitely go back!

GLENDALE SALA THAI CHANGED MY LIFE. I have dined in before; the dining area is quite small and intimate but I really love the Thai restaurant decor they have. I ordered To-Go and showed up a little early before pick-up, and the staff was very pleasant. I didn't mind waiting, and by the time they gave me my order, I could feel how piping hot the food really was. Personally, spice-level 3 is a nice balance of flavor and spicy heat. Enough heat to make the flavors really shine through, and not too much heat to drown them out.

Came here as a recommendation from a friend after the Maricopa Home Show at State Farm Stadium for lunch. We were immediately greeted by a nice lady that sat our group. It's a small store front that is nicely decorated and clean. I opted for the Thai Tea and Pad Kee Mow w/Tofu (Drunken Noodles) level 5 (their scale is 1-5 (spicy). The food was prepared very quickly and good size portion. While everything tasted good, I will admit that it's not a 5 (extra spicy) for me. It was more like a 2, but that's just me. The brought the spice caddy, which is good. I would definitely come back whenever in the area.

Doggie bag portion was enough for a full 2nd meal the next day.

Large portions, very tasty and great service. We ordered from all over the menu. The food had just the right amount of flavorings to reach perfection. I cook Thai food. I prefer mine as I like it RICH with spices and curry paste. Sala Thai's team obviously taste test and don't hold back on expensive ingredients required to produce a perfect dish. We all left thoroughly satisfied with the meal, the ambiance and seamless service. Nicely decorated with Thai woodwork and art. Clean bathrooms. Very friendly staff. Work Sala into your lunch or dinner plans soon. Hopefully you enjoy it at much as we did.

Food was tasty, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I very much enjoyed the fried fish salad and the tom kha.

Tasty Thai This was my first visit to Glendale Sala Thai and it was jfantastic. Sala Thai offers a great selection of Thai entrees, their will be something to satisfy everyone's appetite. On this visit we shared Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, egg rolls, and crab ragoons, and everything was excellent! These dishes were loaded with real authentic Thai flavors. I ordered level 1 and it was perfect amount of heat. So much flavor in these dishes. The egg rolls and crab ragoons were the best, crispy, tasty, and served hot. Reasonably priced; highly recommend! Glad we found this local spot with great customer servicqe.

So I barley give this place 2 stars because I was able to salvage it on the stove ..! Literally since moving to Arizona from Seattle I have yet to find a Thai place and it's sad where I'm scared to spend my money now ... I ordered chicken pad Thai spice level 2 and thank goodness I got a side of peanut sauce I got the pad Thai and the noodles were so dry and clumped together ..no veggies no sprouts or anything as well... And the taste of just spice was awful... I threw it on the stove and mixed in the peanut sauce with some olive oil and it made allll the difference . Only posting my review so I remember to not order from here unfortunately :/

Just experienced Sala Thai for the first time and was blown away! Prompt service and the vegan fried rice was delicious--reminded me of LA. A must-try for authentic Thai flavors!

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.

I ordered the way I did on purpose. These are my go to Thai dishes. The staples. I wanted to taste everything I consider my personal favorites so I could really gauge the restaurant across the board. The vegetable egg rolls and chicken satay were good. Solid. The potstickers were good. The chicken larb was actually good, maybe a little too much sugar, it tasted slightly sweet, but still one of the stronger dishes. Mango sticky rice was enjoyable. The Thai iced tea, flavor was on point. That's actually my first indicator when I try a Thai restaurant. The only thing that would've made it better is crushed ice. Real Thai spots usually use crushed ice. It melts perfectly and dilutes the sweetness just right. When you use block ice, the tea stays too sweet longer. Crushed ice gives it that smooth balance. Small detail, but that's how I gauge authenticity. Now to the honest part. The pad Thai was mediocre. It was lacking. I've definitely had better and I wouldn't recommend that dish. The spicy fried rice was okay, nothing special. The lad na gravy was way too thick, and instead of using Chinese broccoli, they used regular American broccoli. That's usually my second give when I rate a Thai restaurant. Traditional lad na uses Chinese broccoli. That swap changes the texture and the authenticity of the dish. They also didn't have the typical sauce that usually complements lad na, which I found strange for a Thai restaurant. The Thai fried rice was decent. Overall, I'm giving this place four stars. Here's my why. First, they didn't have common condiments that are pretty standard at most Thai restaurants. That threw me off. Second, the service. They weren't rude at all. Everyone was friendly. But the attentiveness just wasn't there, especially considering we placed a large order and the restaurant wasn't that busy. Third, the flavor and authenticity details. It just didn't hit the way traditional Thai food usually does. I've eaten Thai food all my life, especially in Thai Town in California and throughout Orange County, and the flavor profile here wasn't on that level. If someone asked me if I would return, probably not. But don't let my review stop you. Be your own judge. My goal isn't to hurt the business. It's feedback. Tighten up the service, dial in the flavor, stick closer to traditional ingredients, and it could easily level up to five stars for my taste. And yes, expectations vary. I've eaten a lot of Thai food, so I may be grading on a different curve. One more tip, if you're a party of six or more, double check your receipt. Gratuity was already included in ours and I didn't realize until I got back to where I was staying since I'm out of town. I had to call and have the extra tip removed. Just keeping it real.

The restaurant seems to charge for every little thing and the staff is slow and forgetful. Having to get up so many times just to remind them about our order is simply not acceptable. I really hope things improve, especially for long time customers who have supported this place for years Ambience The ambience was very cute and charming. The space feels inviting and has a pleasant atmosphere. Food The food was good. We ordered the catfish spring rolls and they were delicious once everything finally made it to the table. Service The service was the biggest issue and it was very disappointing, especially since my family has been coming here for 3 years. Parts of our order were missing, including several side dishes and even the sauce for the spring rolls. We asked for a cup of ice and that was missing too. We waited about 10 minutes after receiving the catfish before the vegetables were brought out and we had to keep asking for simple items. It's a shame because things taste best when the food is still hot, but the catfish was already cold once they brought out all the small dishes that came with the main dish. Because the staff was moving so slowly, we ended up walking to the counter (6 times) just to follow up on things that should have been brought to us without asking. It honestly felt like we were serving ourselves. There should be no excuse why service was so slow because there's two waitress and only one other table. The Vietnamese coffee tasted sickly sweet and burnt. After taking one sip, I asked to switch to a Thai tea, hoping it would be better, but that drink was also extremely sickenly sweet. I returned it after one sip as well. I was surprised to see that I was charged for both drinks and was told it was because I drank them, which did not feel fair at all. They even charged us for the lemon slices.

I thought the lo mein was really good and loved the bean sprouts that were included in the dish. The Mongolian beef was a little bit of a surprise for me. It was good, but very sweet.
