We love Thai food and have our own favorite place, but are open to trying other places too. The other day we were getting Boba drinks and noticed a sign on a fried chicken place 2 doors down advertising that they now were serving Thai food, we remarked that we would need to try it soon and decided to later that week. When I first googled the name, a menu came up that had only the fried chicken options, no Thai food, so I called the location directly and was given the correct URL. I looked up the menu and it looked good so we called back and placed an order. For some reason they had no online ordering even though the page appeared to offer it. We took the food home - chicken basil stir-fry and pad thai. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE! The stir-fry was supposed to have fresh vegetables, but these were frozen mixed vegetables that are limp and gross - cuts of broccoli, crinkle cut carrots and peas. The chicken was minimal and I did not taste any basil. The pad thai sauce tasted like it was from a bottle - too sugary sweet and not a lot of flavors, there were also frozen vegetables in this, which is odd. The rice was over cooked and soggy, the pad thai noodles were also. We asked for 3-star heat (medium to kind of hot), there was zero spice in anything. Each entrée was around $20, so this was not inexpensive. The food was so bad that I couldn't even finish my dinner and leftovers went to waste because no one else in our house would eat them either. Arrived hungry in Phoenix and decided to try this place as we wanted something light for lunch. It takes about 35 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport but since our hotel is near the restaurant, we decided to just go ahead with our plan. My husband and I ordered the Rice Bowl and Munchii Chickii. The Rice Bowl comes with chicken cutlet, coleslaw, pickles, rice and sauce of your choice. I took the ranch. Very simple meal but it hits the spot. Exactly what I wanted. My only complaint was that the slaw was too little. I should have ordered one extra on the side. My husband's order came with mac n cheese, seasoned fries, chicken bites, slaw, pickles and ranch. Pretty good too! I forgot to ask the staff if the meats are halal but I thought I saw a halal meat certificate on the wall. Overall good food, easy parking, clean place. I like it. read more

I do wish my review was more positive, but I did like my meal or experience at Chickii. To begin, the sign out front was not lit, making it hard to find. I ordered the chicken sandwich, no substitutes for pickles and slaw was an L. First impression was that chicken sandwich was very greasy. You can see the shininess from the grease on the bun. Fast, convenient counter service only restaurant. Great focus on chicken-only menu items with several different sauces to choose from along with several levels of heat. We both had the Chickii sandwich. Note their levels of heat are not very aggressive. So, if you're like me and want a truly hot chicken sandwich go right for the "Extra Hot". I had "Hot" and is was a bit of a disappointment. Fries are the crinkle cut type and I believe frozen, but they weren't necessarily bad. Limited seating inside and no seating outside. Located just off the 101 fwy, this place is a nice hole in the wall next to Fry's. They have a wide variety of fried chicken meals. My go to is the chikii Mac. The staff is always patient and kind and they have fun Chikii stickers that you can get. Overall I will continue to come here when I am in the area and in the mood for fried chicken. read more

I'm confused by all of the glowing reviews. It was just marginally ok all around. The good...the chicken was ultra crispy with very good texture. But the flavor was pretty generic, and the heat didn't pack any kind of pepper or chile flavor like you'd expect. The fries were good, not great. The bread was really weird and had a strange chemical flavor. I stopped trying to eat it. The sauce was again, just kind of ok and not great. It's not Cane's sauce or anything close to it. We came here right by the coffee shop where we were studying. I was excited to try this place because it has many great reviews. First off, the inside is cute. I like the chicken stickers, the art on the wall, etc. It is a tiny space. Music is blasting from the TV, and maybe it's loud in the kitchen. The staff and we couldn't hear each other well. It's not that big of a deal, but it does increase our annoyance, haha. The food was mid. They got the best wings, ranch on the bowls is awesome and also they got an out-of-this-world thai tea. They always offered a great service.

We tried a few different things on the menu. One kiddo had the rice bowl, it was rice, chopped battered chicken, sauce of choice, coleslaw and pickles. She choice the green curry. She loved it. She ate all of it except the pickles. She said it was so good and she would definitely go back. The younger kiddo wanted the chicken tender meal. She loved the bread the most. It had "Hawaiian toast" which was a buttered & seasoned slice of Texas toast. It looked good and she kept saying omg it's so good, in between bites and didn't offer to share. That's how you know it was good. She thought the chicken was okay, but even mild was too spicy for her. She was not a fan of the sauces. Included with the meal was coleslaw, pickles & crinkle cut fries. She doesn't like coleslaw or pickles so I ate them. The coleslaw seemed like a pretty standard coleslaw but not as sweet as the kind you would get at a 4th of July cookout. The pickles were really good, I could eat a bunch. I had 8 wings. They were some big wings. Drums & flats. They were cooked well, not overdone, nicely seasoned. You still get sauces with them. The sauce options that we tried were honey orange, chickii, green curry and soy. Out of all of them, the honey orange was my favorite. The others were just too salty for my liking (too salty after dipping in the already seasoned chicken). The curry has a nice curry flavor. I thought it was decent and I'm not really even a curry fan. The soy tasted just like soy paste only, so I was not a fan. The chickii sauce didn't really hit. It was too salty, had a good consistency but it seemed like there wasn't any depth to any flavor. Drinks- Thai tea, yum. I love when it tastes *exactly* how you want/expect Thai tea to taste. So good. If you like sweet tea, Thai tea is it. Youngest kiddo had the lychee drink. It was a little sweet for my liking, but she said it was awesome. There are spice options, so if you love spice, come here if you love chicken and spice. Even if you don't and can't handle the heat, you can probably specify beforehand. I didn't bother bc the kids like flaming hot Cheetos and I thought "mild" would be pretty similar in spice level. It seemed close in my opinion. The temperature was good inside, always a positive. Parking is not an issue as it's in a grocery store strip mall. There's very easy access, right off the 101 & 59th Ave. Service was very friendly, and we will be back. read more

Stopped by to check this place out for lunch. While viewing the menu, the manager asked if I would like to try all of their sauces. Of course I do! I tried the chicken sandwich and chose the yellow curry sauce. The sandwich is different compared to most chicken sandwiches as it is pounded thin before breading and frying. It makes eating the sandwich a little easier than trying to get you mouth over a thick chicken breast and bun. The sandwich was really good and the yellow curry sauce is amazing. Id put it on ice cream. The slaw on the sandwich compliments the chicken and doesn't overwhelm the rest of the sandwich. I spoke with the manager while waiting. Really nice guy. Apparently the owners of Chikkii own a Thai restaurant somewhere downtown. I can't remember the name so I'll have to stop by again to ask and try something else. read more

It was pretty good, I picked up my order almost 30 minutes late and I wasn't able to eat it for at least another 30 minutes so I know it wasn't as fresh when I tried it but even having to reheat it it was still pretty darn good. The seasoning that comes on the fries is incredible and the seasoning that comes on the chicken is pretty good as well. I wasn't a fan of their ranch. They had a spicy teriyaki sauce that was actually really good and their buffalo sauce was pretty standard and tasty! Chickii has good chicken AND good sauces, AND good fries and the government is FURIOUS! They broke the shadow contract wherein every restaurant has to raise prices and reduce quality, that's the rule. Someone put Chickii in detention because these guys do not CARE about the contract! Yellow curry dipping sauce is unreal. How do yo come up with that? Peanut dipping sauce is so unexpected and so welcome. Thank you chickii! The fried are coated in perfect seasoning and the toast is just there to gloat ad do a victory lap around your nearly depleted chickii sauce. The medium is pretty hot, not gonna lie. I like the mild and I can normally handle spice pretty well! (I did the hot ones gauntlet and made it through the last dab. I also have eaten raw habeneros just to challenge myself and I only drank half a carton of milk. Yes, I am just that tough). The service was incredibly nice and the prices, again, are REALLY fair! The guy working the counter was adorable and when we asked for sauce recommendations, he went back and made us a small plate with all the sauces on it for us to sample. Tasty Chicken Sandwich Think I found a new favorite when it comes to chicken sandwiches/strips/fries. The food at Chickii is really tasty. Chickii is serving up excellent fried chicken sandwich/strips with an Asian flair, and these sandwiches/strips are large, really large and I really like that you can customize your level of heat.  I went with medium but on my next visit I might kick it up a level. On this visit we shared the chickii sandwich, tender meals, fries, drinks and the soft serve. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and served pipping hot . The chicken was so juicy, not over cooked like so many other places. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle and the fries were crispy served hot and the honey orange sauce was the perfect pairing. I can't wait to go back and try the wings. I will admit, Tik Tok made me do it, and I am DARN glad it did! This place is absolute FIRE! We have been twice now and have loved each time. Staff is super friendly, price point is good, and the food and beverages I couldn't ask for more. We did get the sandwich with Chickii sauce, and the fries with mild heat and honey orange sauce. The second time we went we just split the fries but kicked the heat up to medium with the honey orange sauce. Y'all, it's so friggen good. I will say the make it fresh, so even when it's not busy you're going to wait a little and when it is busy, you're waiting. BUT ITS SO WORTH THE WAIT!! 100/100! Now I haven't had all the sauces but the honey orange is literally so good I don't have a huge rush to try the others, why mess with perfection? I don't understand the hype? Huge disappointment after reading positive reviews on here and even recommendations from friends. I ordered to-go and got the Wing Deal (8 pieces) which came with fries and your choice of two sauces (I got Honey Orange & Yellow Curry) also a Chicken Sandwich with Chickii sauce. You can't possibly tell me the cook can't see the wings are burnt. I had to do a double take and check photos on here to make sure I wasn't crazy. Where's my juicy and plump wings? The wings I got were tinier than the fries, dry, and overcooked. They take dry rub to a whole other level. The sauce in the 2 ounce container was a dab, even Costco has larger samples. It seemed like they refried old wings because the chicken sandwich was fried just fine. I even came after lunch hours and was the only customer and still had to wait while they cremate my wings. Make sure you check your to-go orders before leaving so you don't get gypped! There are so many chicken wing joints out there, this one unfortunately ranks at the bottom. read more
