Went out of my way for some takeout recently and really enjoyed it! The chicken was flavorful and tender, the hummus was garlicky, the pita was soft but grilled nicely, and the dolmas were tasty. The portions were beyond good-size - it was actually too much food for just me. While I waited for my take-away order they were taking other orders out to the patio and they dishes were huge! I tried this place tonight for the first time and it far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was laid back, the staff were super friendly, and don't even get me started on the food. The eggplant salad was out of this world. I don't think I've ever had something so complex and delicious, until I tried their dessert. I don't know what I was expecting but when I bit into it, it took me by surprise how delicious it was. Sweet, salty, savory. It hit all the spots. I was on the side of town and had a voucher to try this place out. I'm glad I popped in. I'm Persian so very particular about my Mediterranean flavors and this place did not disappoint. I forgot to take a photo of my lamp shank entree with yogurt and garlic cream sauce until I was 1/4 way through but snapped a photo of what I had left for you :p it was delicious. We tried the falafel and it was delicious! Very moist and not dry at all. They also have a variety of hookah options that are reasonably priced. They were very busy when we went so the service was a little slow. Their outdoor patio is really nice and has a great ambience. They have good music and lighting in the evenings. Family Fattoush is a Mediterranean Restaurant located in North Phoenix. They offer a large menu that differs some from other similar restaurants. This is not a fancy place. It is also casual. You order at the counter, pick a table, they bring you your order and then you pay. They have a very attractive patio but it wasn't in use yet on my visit. We ordered a variety of things and we both thought that some things were better than other things. We shared the vegetarian plate (hummus, baba G, grape leaves, falafel, tabbouli). All good and the hummus was closest to the best anywhere. It had that perfect creamy texture that is seldom found. The falafel had a crispy exterior and a moist herby center. We both were surprised that they offer a good selection of fish dishes. I tried the spicy tilapia and it was very good. I didn't receive the garlic dip mentioned on the menu...but still I was surprised that they cooked the fish perfect and the sauce was tasty. The gyro today was very average and slightly dry. Food was tasty. It was seasoned well and the side salad was simple but good. The ambiance is top shelf and makes a nice meet up place to talk with friends and unwind with some hookah. They were good on service at the start, but once we had our food and drinks they were pretty scarce to ask about drink refills and to get us the check. It looked like there was a birthday party that came in half way through our visit which may have kept all the servers occupied, but it would have been nice to get more random pop ins to check on drinks. I had to wait an addition 20 minutes after I arrived to get my food when I ordered it ahead of time on their app. When my husband and I got our spicy crispy chicken sandwiches there was nothing spicy or crispy about it. Stopped by this place for lunch today. The restaurant smelled like it had been recently cleaned and the decor is great. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. My wife had the vegetarian plate and I had the falafel sandwich. My falafel sandwich was a great balance of falafel and fillers (pickles, tomatoes, etc.) but lacked seasoning and a good sauce to bring it together, and the fries were pretty standard. On my wife's dish, the falafel were well cooked but had an odd flavor, the hummus was severely lacking spices and tasted a bit like old EVOO, the dolmas was overpowered by allspice, and the pita dried up and got tough within minutes. The server was nice enough, but service was a little slow with considering we were the only customers. I won't go back or recommend this place. read more

The food quality was equally disappointing. I ordered grilled fish but ended up with a tasteless fried fish accompanied by a soggy salad and rice. Guys, I found the cutest and best hookah lounge in the West Valley This is a family owned business ran by the Aunties and Uncles and Niece's and Nephew's. I met Fadi, he's one of the nephew's and he was a great server and host. I ordered the hummus and chicken wings, and it was all very yummy. Wings are a good size and delicious. Let me tell you about the hookah. Ordered a Double Apple Mint and it was scrumptious. I loved that after a while and adding new coals, it didn't have that burnt taste. The patio is gorgeous and just a great vibe. Definitely a place where you can come celebrate with friends and family or just go on a date. I will totally be coming back. read more

When the girl brought out the orders she didn't know the name of the drinks and when we asked which is which the girl said she didn't know. Also, when our food came out she put my food on the other side of the table and walked off- which came off as disrespectful and rude.
