Stopped by on a Sunday around 12pm. Greeted warmly by the owner, who was very attentive and friendly. Inside was literally spotless. I ordered the full Sinbad De Luxe plate (2 tikas, 2 kebabs) w biryani, samoon, and tahini ($25). Owner came with a bowl of lentil soup for me to start with, which was very tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed the kabobs (ground meat) more than the tikas, but both were very good! The beef tika and kebob came atop a piece of bread, which sopped up residual juices and was eaten. Overall, extremely reasonable price for the amount and quality of food. You can see into the kitchen, and where they make the fresh bread, which is kinda nice. The owner single-handedly was taking orders, bringing out food, and bussing tables. Pay at the front when you're ready. Also, I thiiiink there's complimentary tea/drink at the front in the hot drink dispenser, but I'll just have to come back and see! read more

Nice family run business with good food, good portions, and a fair price. We had the chicken kebab and the beef shawarma. Both were well flavored and tender. The bread and hummus complimented the food and made for a filling meal. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. Worth coming back! read more

The atmosphere here is beautiful and relaxing. We were greeted at the door by Raymond who was super friendly and helpful with the menu. We shared a full chicken shawarma plate and the falafel plate which are both generous portions. The hummus was delicious with a hint of smokey flavor. So good we took an extra order to go. The shawarma was delicious, juicy, and tender. The falafel was also good with the mango sauce, which we had never tried before. We will definitely be back. read more

First time trying authentic Iraqi breakfast, and wow--what an experience! Everything we ordered was amazing, and the staff was incredibly warm and accommodating. I tried a dish that looked like a cheese pizza topped with an egg, and it was absolutely delicious. But my favorite item of all was the puff pastry with honey and cream--pure heaven. The restaurant itself is spotless with clean, sleek décor that makes the whole experience even better. There's a reason this place has a 5.0 rating. It's well deserved. Highly recommend! read more

The food was excellent, the service was warm and attentive, and the owner was incredibly friendly. He mentioned that the current menus are just temporary and that more detailed menus are coming soon. I ordered the kibbeh hameth, and the portion was HUGE, definitely more than I expected. My husband and cousin really enjoyed their meals too (pictured), and we all agreed everything tasted fresh and authentic. We also tried the lahm bi jeen and falafel as appetizers, and both were delicious. It's refreshing to finally have an Iraqi restaurant in town that goes beyond the usual shawarma, gyros, and kabobs that every other place offers. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their tashreeb with quzi next! If you are looking for traditional Iraqi cuisine, I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Tried Sindbad tonight with my family and it did not disappoint! We tried a little bit of everything, but as a vegetarian, I was so impressed with the lentil soup and falafel plate! I enjoyed the mango sauce recommended, and the biriyani was the best I've ever had with notes of cinnamon and spice. The owner was also a gracious host. After waiting to see this business open a new dot we were thrilled it finally opened. We went yesterday and were greeted warmly. Started with lentil soup, fresh bread and lemons. Excellent. We ordered a chicken swarma plate. A small plate of babaganough, hummus, fresh cucumber and tomato salad and creamy cucumbers. not sure what everything is called but it was delicious. I took one photo and two people ate with plenty to take home. I love this family already. They are new owners and I want them to have success because it's around the corner from where we live, We will be back. They have the same bread makers as Sinbad's on 35th Ave. and Glendale that went under during Covid. Such excellent food and sweet kind people. read more

We came here after noticing it was near our home and we were pleasantly surprised. We instantly felt very welcomed and the place looked spotless. If you're not sure what to get for the first time, I recommend the Sindbad de luxe entree and it has a bit of everything, chicken, steak, lamb, and rice. It was delicious.
