Authentic Moroccan cuisine. Our experience here was all top notch. We ordered Grape Leaves. Stuffed to perfection. The best I've ever had! The flavor was perfect! Chefs kiss Our main course was Lamb Tagine and Goat Tagine. Both were perfectly stewed to perfection. It came with Brussel sprouts, green beans, potatoes, and carrots in a tasty broth. The rice was so fluffy. Service was attentive. Plenty of parking Woman owned. The best dining experience.

Baba Ghanouj appetizer -served with pitas. Great!

We had a lovely meal here - I would order all of the things I ordered again. Our party of 3 ate family style. We had 2 appetizers, Baba Ghanouj either pita and Stuffed Grape Leaves. My favorite was the Baba Ghanouj. For entrees, we shared 3 entrees: the Mixed Grill, Mandi, and Goat Tagine. We liked all 3 dishes. But my companions liked the Goat Tagine best. I couldn't decide between the Mandi or the Mixed Grill as my favorite. Beautiful presentation of all dishes. I would definitely return.

This place 1 of the best I try in us a the food was very unique fresh excellent presentation and the owner very kind very much we come to this place again

The Bastilla... what can I say about this unique dish? This restaurant is marketed as a Moroccan restaurant with an attached market. This seemingly unimposing restaurant boasts a hidden gem. That gem is the Bastilla! Looking at the dish and reading about, I initially thought "meh, seems interesting but I'm not expecting much." Boy was I wrong. This does require suspending what you would initially think as what flavor profiles to be. What do I mean? When one thinks of entree, you think of savory and sweetness belongs to dessert realm. This combines both to create a savory sweet dish that bursts of flavor. It tastes similar to a baklava with its sweet and almond style flavor, but the tenderness and savory profile of chicken. A sweet chicken dish? Who would've thought? Why am I asking rhetorical questions? I was impressed with this massive beast (it is HUGE) and I felt like the food baby was kicking once I was done. That being said I decided to try the mango smoothie. Also killed it in the smoothie game. It tasted like real fruit (it's sad to be impressed that a smoothie tastes like tea fruit since many places use a powder or some substitute)! It also had great presentation. No doubt this is an awesome gem that anyone with and adventurous appetite for non traditional food!

Alzohour market is definitely a hidden gem!! A lovely spot with insanely delicious Moroccan food that I even think is better than Marrakesh, Morocco which I've been to 3 times! The flavor is excellent and portion sizes are huge! I highly recommend paying this spot a visit, the owner is very friendly and you will not be disappointed!!

I won't hesitate to say this place has the best grape leaf I've ever had. My entrée was the goat tagine, and it was amazing. Moroccan tea along with a mango smoothie. This place is a must-visit if you love Moroccan cuisine. The owner is super amazing, which made the experience epic.

Food: everything was so amazing! The bastilla was my favorite and the mint tea!! So tasty I also really like the harrira was amazing too Service: amazing service by the owner and amazing chef The market and store: the store had so much beautiful clothing and jewelry and a lot of Muslim items too. The market had a lot of interesting food I would have loved to try but it was mostly expired- I would buy from there if they had fresh items Parking: plenty of it Amazing experience and I will definitely be back and refer a lot of friends

Definitely a hidden gen. The tagine is mouth watering and the hummus is excellent. We got the bastilla and liked that one too but the tagine is the obvious winner

Delicious. Well spiced/seasoned. Lettuce was pretty sad though. The market looks pretty much like an abandoned afterthought but the food was sooooo good.

First time here. If you are looking for a real Middle Eastern food (Morocco), this is a place. Food is is amazing amazing, amazing, and better than the Persian Room. I had the bastella. It's chicken and almond in a homemade filo. They fill your plate with food. So yummy!

The food here is out of this world delicious! The owner is the cook and she does everything else as well. I'm very sweet lady and great customer service. The ambience is very casual. A small grocery store and clothing store is attached to this restaurant - everything has a Middle Eastern flavour. This place is a must try if you like Middle Eastern food.

Eating at Alzohour is a special event. The dishes are prepared with care and are uniformly delicious; what the space lacks in beauty or the service lacks in speed is more than made up for by the real sense of community that the lovely owner cultivates here. This is a Phoenix institution. I've visited multiple times and enjoyed a number of dishes. The bastilla is a sweet and savory highlight that you won't find anywhere else, the kafta and gyro are better than any I've tried in Phoenix, and dishes like the molokai set Alzohour apart as well. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

For a split second, I thought, "That's a good way to intrigue someone to buy and try..." but NO, he turns around for a mere moment with a sample and my eyes lit up, I finished my order "beef Pita," (of which was extremely flavorful, tender, and fresh... the pita had great consistency and it all disappeared in seconds) but sorry, I digress, there I was, grabbing the strawberry lemonade and walking towards the table when yet again, the kind man asked, "how is the lemonade?" To which I respond, "great!" He then proceeded to pull me an additional cup, "please, try the others as well, they're homemade!" A mango pineapple and a passion fruit were awaiting my pallet, and soon enough... they too, were gone. The falafel was absolutely incredible, crispy outside, soft and flavorful and not dry, that's the big one for me... the falafel was perfect... there was only one thing wrong, so I asked... "can I order four more!? and some baklava too" (to take home of course...) I did sneak a bite of the baklava though, again, so tasty, perfect amount of sweetness, not overly sticky, and the right size to end the meal. Casa De Falafel is one that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND... I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu... they will definitely be the only place that I go for a falafel craving... THANK YOU!

I ordered the full Sinbad De Luxe plate (2 tikas, 2 kebabs) w biryani, samoon, and tahini ($25). Owner came with a bowl of lentil soup for me to start with, which was very tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed the kabobs (ground meat) more than the tikas, but both were very good! The beef tika and kebob came atop a piece of bread, which sopped up residual juices and was eaten. Overall, extremely reasonable price for the amount and quality of food. You can see into the kitchen, and where they make the fresh bread, which is kinda nice. The owner single-handedly was taking orders, bringing out food, and bussing tables. Pay at the front when you're ready. Also, I thiiiink there's complimentary tea/drink at the front in the hot drink dispenser, but I'll just have to come back and see!

The owners are genuinely wonderful people and you can feel the heart behind the restaurant from the moment you walk in. The husband is always cooking in the back, and his wife regularly helps us when we come in (AND she's also an amazing baker!) They've introduced us to so many different sauces, breads, and menu items through generous samples, including flavors and dishes I hadn't tried anywhere else before. I always order the chicken shawarma wrap house style with whatever they normally recommend because it is PERFECT every single time. No notes. The zaatar fries are also absolutely addictive, and their bread is unreal. The owner also turned us onto the chicken Philly cheesesteak, which is incredible on her fresh bread. Going to keep my eyes open for recent Yelp reviews and hope they are rated higher. Pros 1. Fairly inexpensive. I'd rather pay a bit more and have it go back to how good it used to be. 2. I like that it's a "mom and pop" restaurant. Cons 1. I ordered a gyro salad today via Door Dash. The food arrived with the steaming hot meat on top of the cold lettuce, which made the whole salad wilted and soggy. 2. The Iraqi bread used to be so good but now tastes more processed and not as fresh nor homemade. 3. The gyro meat seemed steamed or microwaved and not cooked right. Same with koobideh that I ordered that was supposed to be medium temp and it was rare and mushy -- almost raw.
