Once you try it, you will understand the name. One of the more innovative cocktails I have ever had... and I ended up having two! So delicious and an experience in itself!! We enjoyed some light bites as well - the Edamame Hummus and Shishito Peppers. Both were fantastic! I love that their menu points out which items are gluten-free... and our server even warned me that the plantain chips in the Edamame Hummus could have cross-contamination... so I very much appreciate that heads up! I opted to order them anyway and I am so glad I did - so good! And I experienced no gluten issues. Awesome! I'm already looking forward to a return trip! The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

The vibe is intimate and the staff was amazing. The food was good; my wagyu was cooked nicely but my wife's was a bit overdone. The peanuts pack some heat so they were a bit too spicy. "First Class Seating" is $25 person for admission, a Welcome Cocktail, House-Made Wasabi Peanuts, and a sweet treat. "Captain's Club" is $100/person for admission, a Welcome cocktail, 2 craft cocktails of your choice and 4-course light bite menu featuring King Crab Dumplings, Mini Salmon Lox Bagel, Japanese A5 Wagyu Skewers, New York Style Cheesecake" Additional food/drinks are also available for purchase separately. There are table options to seat up to 2 or 4 people for $50 and $100, respectively. As I was in a party of 2, I cannot speak to if you must purchase a full table as a party of 1 or pay your individual fare but potentially be seated with another party of 1... My partner and I RSVP'd for a Thursday 7:30pm flight from NYC to Tokyo. Per our email, we were instructed to arrive about 15 minutes early to pick up our flight tickets from the downtown restaurant Wren & Wolf. Spoiler alert: Carry On is a speakeasy attached to the back of the restaurant. After picking up your ticket, you walk around the corner to the large orange "plane" door, which opened punctually at 7:30pm to start our experience. We gave our flight attendants (the staff was indeed wearing flight attendant uniforms) our tickets at the front desk, and were given free Carry On pins before being escorted to our table. Despite being a Thursday evening There were overhead announcements and even windows playing animations emulating a real flight experience from take-off to landing! The interior is gorgeous, from the furnishings to the lighting. Craftily, there are many mirrors inside to create the illusion of a larger space. The menu emulated an in-flight menu, with food and drinks based on the trip's theme! We ordered an additional drink each and an onion dip that were all creatively crafted and delicious! All in all, Carry On is the perfect date night or girl's night experience. While it might not be in most people's price range for a casual night out, it is definitely worth trying for a special occasion if possible. I would love to go back and am looking forward to the next destination's theme!

Since I was by myself, I was able to be seated at the bar. The vibe here is incredible! It's beautifully decorated and nice and cozy. Perfect for a date night. I must bring my husband back here at some point. As I said, I sat at the bar and Megan the bartender was outstanding! I ordered a drink called Agree to Disagree. I think that was the name. Anyway, it was delicious and because it was happy hour it was half off the regular price of $23. I ordered one oyster and it was fabulous. I only ordered one because I was meeting a group of friends at The Guest House in 30 minutes and I did not want to spoil my appetite. I can't wait to come back here so that I can enjoy the full experience with the band. It's a lovely place and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

We made our way down the stairs and the hostess was there ready to check us in. We didn't wait at all and got seated right away. Once seated it took a while for the server to come take our order. There was live music going on which kept us entertained for the time being. After about 15 minutes, she finally came over to greet us and take our drink orders. We ordered: 1 WILD STRAWBABY - Ocho Blanco Tequila, Bergamot, Strawberry, Pineapple, Lemon, Almond Milk $22 1 50 FIRST DATES - Bumbu Rum, Cascara, Brown Sugar Date Syrup, Coconut Milk, Cinnamon Sprinkle $22 1 BLUEBERRY MULE - Blueberry, Lime, Ginger Beer $13 The drinks didn't take too long and another bartender dropped them off. Water was never offered to us and was only given to us after we asked. All the other tables were given water once they were seated. Our drinks were good but we chose to just have one each and we left. The live music was great. The musician was playing the piano and kept it fun and upbeat. The inside is pretty cool and unique but service could've definitely been better though. *There's a $10 cover fee per person when there is live music*

Clean pours. Balanced. Not over-mixed. Just enough sweetness to get you in trouble. Crowd was mixed, stylish... looked like people who know where to be without needing to post about it. The seating's cozy enough to post up and talk but open enough to float around if you're trying to socialize. It had that lounge-meets-night-out energy. Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
