I love this place, I have been frequenting it for years now. but lately there is a new servicer named Alanyha or something and she has been rude, couldn't make a dirty Shirley and didn't know yall had steel darts when I asked for me. From the outside it literally looks just like a biker bar , but you will find a super chill place to hang out inside! They have an outdoor bar games in the patio. They have pool tables. Storytime. I have been coming to this bar for 18 years. Since it has been Wild Bill's Saloon. I have seen bartenders here come and go and have met new ones over the years. When one has been welcome to this bar, that came as often as my friends and I did, yeah, I gor goofy from time to time. But rarely left a tab I never paid. Never picked a fight. Bought thousands of shots. My friends and I had the stools by the main entrance. We got there shortly after 5pm and weeded ourselves out one by one. We had our beers and ordered each other shots. Eventually was down to 2 of us until the late crowd of fellas walked in. We'd get our 2nd wind. Gracie owned the bar then. New owners bought it. Remodeled a bit. Got rid of some smelly daytime regulars and those guys not making them any money. They enjoyed us. We were the anchor. New ownership comes thru. Don't go there as much. Homies moved away and passed away. But I still made an effort. I still promoted. But, I am still a presence. I still close out. I might be hanging on by nights end but still manage to close out and call my Uber. Mind you I am coming from Tempe, Downtown Phoenix, Midtown Phoenix and still want to pay thia bar a visit. We are down to a week ago. Forgetting I was there earlier in the day, I Uber'd there. Bartender pulls up the card machine and I know her and I thought she always enjoyed my patronage, but tells the bouncer, "I cant deal with him." I dont know this bouncer and he says I have to go. My mind starts working, "hmmm. I did not close out. I will get them next time." I ask the bouncer if I can wait inside to call my uber. Nope. Standing outside like a schmuck calling my uber. Brings me to present time. I walk in a few days ago. Ask the bartender, "Hi, do I have a tab?" "No. You don't have a tab. You are not welcome in this bar." "Ok, can I ask if it was your call Tanya or Chrystal?" She said it was hers. She made the case to Cheri the owner. I am not going to argue. It is their call. I never argue with a bartender's right to refuse service. I have so many other places I frequent where I am complimented for that understanding. That said. As long as I have been going, ideally we are afforded a pass every now and then. What hurt was she told me, "You need help Nando." She does nor know me. She served no more than a dozen times during the day. I have a full time job. I go to school full time. I work 10 hour days. I am fine. I dont drink at home. I drink socially. Nowhere near everyday. I have benders. Yes. But, damn. I don't care to go back. But if you want to be judged, go right ahead. Look around and see if you're the only minority in that joint. I never cared, but I wonder what changed. I have no where near a following but will be a detractor going forward. read more

When traveling to other cities, my goal is to find all the great local spots loved by the locals. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this establishment. The flames and bikes lined up can make one wonder if they are welcomed, especially if one is not a biker. My experience with Ain't Nick's Tavern began the moment I walked in. The staff and locals were friendly and welcoming to me. As well as the ladies behind the bar, the rest of the staff was excellent. With many seating options for small to large groups, the space is spacious and cosy. The wings are simply amazing, let's talk about them. Wings were fresh, well-cooked, not overly seasoned, and did not appear to be greasy in any way. Often times, wings are hit or miss in many restaurants. It was a mixed crowd of friendly individuals that gave the impression that they were locals. Michael, the host of Katoke, kept everything running smoothly and the mics and sound system were excellent. I recommend that you pay this place a visit if you are ever in the area. You should put Aint Nicks Tavern on your list of must-see places when you are in Phoenix. You can order some wings, drinks, and other sides and enjoy a song or sing a song. This bar has soft tip and steel tip darts which is the reason I went. Very friendly people and the bartenders where great! They have karaoke on the weekends and some of the regulars can sing. I've been there a few times. They have a food truck in the back. We ordered food once and well the french fries where soggy and felt frozen even though it was advertised as fresh cut. Very disappointed. I would say go there for drinks and to enjoy your time, not a food place. I'm giving it 5 stars for the experience, not the food truck. read more

This place is just up the road from our house and we pass by it daily so we decided to give it a go tonight for takeout. The menu seemed simply enough for a dive bar, so we settled on a cheese quesadilla to start, a Buffalo chicken salad for myself and my husband got their chicken philly sandwich. The quesadilla was very plain and quite small, but it's hard to mess it up so it was fine. My Buffalo chicken salad was tinyyyyy. Two tenders diced up onto maybe 3/4 a cup of lettuce. I thought it resembled a side salad much more than an entree salad. I elected blue cheese dressing and I have never seen a more runny dressing in my life. It was like water, with no actual blue cheese in it. So bad. My husbands chicken philly wasn't great either. He said the bread was really good and soft but his chicken was diced chicken which was rubbery and the sad excuse for fries he received was horrendous. They had obviously been reheated multiple times and were overcooked to the point where they shriveled up and dried. I honestly can't believe someone allowed those fries to be served. All in all, we were super disappointed. We might try them again and get wings and a burger because that's usually a dive bar's specialty. read more

This is a gem hidden by an unimpressive view from the street. Wait staff are all great girls that hustle. They have karaoke every night if that's you're thing....it's not mine. They have two pool tables, three dart boards and some arcade as well. Pool tournaments are held Sunday, Monday and Friday. The best feature is their patio area which is one of the better ones in the valley for a dive bar. Worth checking it out on a Friday or Saturday for sure. read more

Love this dive bar! We came here at the end of the night after Mark H. took his Bar exam, mainly because he found out there was karaoke here and managed to wrangle the crew into a couple of Ubers. As soon as we walked in, I realized we'd found a diamond. This entire bar felt like it had been pulled out of somewhere in small-town America. We quickly joined in with the regulars around the microphones, and soon enough the entire bar was belting out Bohemian Rhapsody. I noticed there's a pool table and possibly some darts in the back, but we were too preoccupied to make our way over there. Saint Nicks and Chopper John's are my favorites for late-night fun, especially on weekdays when you want to be able to carry on a conversation and not get pushed around in a crowd of college students and/or Scottsdale cougars. I've lived down the street from this place for 4 years now, and this is the first time I've ordered from here. I'm so upset that I haven't ordered from here before!! The Sinful Bliss Burger is an unexpected combo that makes for an INCREDIBLE burger. Since we did order through a third party, the bottom bun did get soggy from all the mouth watering juicy-ness, but it made me think of an au juis sandwich. It was difficult to eat but still delicious. The fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy and fluffy. I wish the BLT had more bacon because I genuinely just wanted to keep the flavor-train rolling. Hands down, the best thing was the wings. I would sell my left arm and steal someone else's left arm to sell if I had to to get these wings. They're crispy, and juicy, and the Cajun seasoning made my heart sing. I want to be buried with my coffin full of these wings on the off chance that I'll get to eat them for eternity. This was a legitimate feast for an insanely reasonable price. I will be ordering from here again very soon. read more

Here's the deal....Cheri and her crew are awesome! Our community placed an order for 40+ households on Saturday in the spirit of helping where we can. Cheri went out of her way to deliver our orders even tho we are more than 12 miles from her Bar. No one thought the turn-out for what started as just a few of us ordering would grow to the size that it did:) My picky hubby loved his custom cheeseburger that was cooked to a perfect medium. I have NEVER had a philly made with tomatoes and I am a philly fanatic. It was by far the best philly I have had since moving to Phoenix and I WILL be back. Yes, some things were substituted as again, it was a large order during a time when some perishables are hard to come by and keep fresh. I missed the fries but appreciated the chips. Thanks to Cheri, I didn't have to cook dinner or lunch on Sunday. Thank you Cheri for a great meal especially under the circumstances. I used to go here often when I moved to the area over a year ago. I stopped going because the bartenders and security at night would constantly give me hard time. If I was on the patio alone, they would tell me they were closing the patio early. But if someone else came in and sat on the patio, they would leave it open. After the bartender refused to let me purchase a drink for my gf's friend, instead of berating her, while making a huge scene, telling her she couldn't loiter because she didn't know what she wanted to drink as soon as she walked in, I stopped going. I went here tonight as a last resort. I stopped in at 1:22, the bartender called last call at 1:24. I asked for another drink. I like this bar, but they kicked me out for looking too young and accused me of having a fake ID. I don't really know what else to do if you cannot identify a state issued drivers license. You've just banned a paying customer because you can't tell the difference between a fake and a real ID. Very dissatisfied. It's a shame I won't be allowed to patron this bar. read more
