Bull Shooters was a place I really enjoyed the quality of patron was sometimes suspect but it wasn't really an issue. Tonight they have a no cigar smoking sign up in the patio. Now if you want to inhale a chemical dipped cancer stick your good, and they will smoke out that patio at times. But a natural hand rolled cigar? Nope! You want to vape your way to popcorn lung? Go for it, but a non inhaled sweet smelling natural cigar? Not allowed. Food is typical bar fare, nothing special but serviceable. Service has always been good, but i consider their new no cigar policy a pretty poor reflection on them. If I need to go out to the sidewalk to smoke a cigar while 50 people smoke cigarettes on the patio..... well thsts just stupid. What you've said is we don't want your money and our questionable clientele is preferable to any improvement. read more

Listen! Bullshooters is a casual dive. Don't come here looking for baby wipes and stuff. It's dim, 20+ tables and a row of darts too long to count. We went for the comedy roast (which was hilarious!) and also caught a glimpse of a female wrestling match. It can't get better than this! Bar food was even decent and the service was excellent and friendly. Not sure what happens after 12. We didn't stay too late. Definitely will be back. read more

This place actively discriminates against LGBTQ+ individuals, after using the restroom that corresponded with my correct and LEGAL gender, I was told I would have to either use the incorrect restroom (male) restroom or be thrown out even though I was using the correct restroom... umm so I'm a legal and presenting female but to patronize this business, I have to use the men's bathroom or face being thrown out by security. What is wrong with this place? Just because I don't look "female enough", I'm not allowed to use the correct restroom? I've been here 10+ times and NEVER had an issue, now I was discriminated against for doing NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT EXISTING! What is wrong with this place and these people? Why are you forcing a woman to use the men's bathroom? That is ILLEGAL! I will never be back and I will be notifying the ACLU and government of Arizona for blatant discrimination!! read more

I used to visit this establish very regularly but stopped going since they increased the pricing of their pool table rates several months ago. If you're going to increase prices, fine - inflation and all that, understandable. However, the quality/maintenance of the pool tables and establishment is pretty abysmal. We last visited this past Sunday afternoon (only because the first two places we went to didn't have any tables available). The rack of balls we were given were disgusting. The rack itself was super sticky and there was a nasty sticky substance on most of the balls as well. The felt on majority of the tables here are dirty and in need of replacement. We had a waitress stop by our table right after we got there (we already had drinks we got from the bar when we got the table/opened a tab); we never had anyone come back for the remainder of the time we were there (around 2 hours). There are flys/gnats buzzing around .. this place has the potential to be great, but they really need to improve the upkeep of the space and the service of the wait staff, especially given the recent price hike. #MakeBullshootersGreatAgain read more

On a weekend evening, I checked out Bull Shooters for the first time for a special event: some pro wrestling from the Arizona Wrestling Federation. They set up a ring with seating in one area of the bar. After the event, I stuck around at Bull Shooters, so I can touch on the typical experience. They're located in a busy shopping center, but I was able to find a parking spot. Once you go in, I was surprised by how large this bar is. It's huge! There was the large area where the wrestling event was. There's a private room. And then the main area is filled with a bunch of pool tables. If you like to play billiards, this is the best place to do it I've seen in Phoenix. You can also just hang out and drink at the high tops if you'd like to. While they did have a limited food menu, I wasn't hungry, so I was on a liquid diet. And when it comes to the alcoholic beverages, I was very impressed with Bull Shooters. They have a good beer selection and a full bar, but what really stands out are the prices. The drinks are super affordable! The type of value I always appreciate. While the bar isn't in the nicest part of Phoenix, if you're looking to play some pool, and not break the bank while you're doing it, Bull Shooters is a great choice. read more

Looking to have Drinks, Play Pool, Darts or have a light snack, Bull Shooters is the play to be. Friends and I always have a good time. Julie is extremely friendly, she was so welcoming and made us feel at home. Bull Shooters is always clean, spacious, so many pool tables and dart boards. They have a full range bar, and they have now expanded their doors and have the other side, where you can find corn hole gaming and lots of other games. Bring the family. You will have a great time. read more

Absolutely kick ass location to shoot darts, the Arizona Open was so cool, I was so amazed at how efficient the waitresses were, the quickest service I've seen in a dart tournament. This is my favorite spot, no question. Drinks are good, prices are fair, and there's a solid variety to choose from. Drinks have perfect foam top and always cold. I really enjoyed this spot, which had tons of diamond tables, both 7 and 9 foot and lots of room between tables. The beer selection was on point with an excellent 12% imperial stout, and food wasn't bad either (I had some chili cheese fries). Service was very friendly and they had a good daily rate before 5. I will definitely be back to this spot when in town. read more

Have been coming here for the past 5 years or so. Was very excited when they started the stand up comedy on Tuesday nights and normally enjoy the show.. unfortunately since the original host (Joey) stepped out, it seems to be slowly falling apart... Signing up is intimidating enough for most people but when the hosts and the group at their table start having conversations louder than the mic, it has got to be far more disappointing to the person on stage than to the people who came out specifically to see the show. Tonight was definitely a let down and I really do hope that others let their opinions be known in hopes of getting the show back to being something to look forward to. read more

We have been going to this place for years, due to being Cigar friendly. Apparently the manager claims there is no smoking in the patio area. My husband ask how long has that been implemented. She stated as long as I have been working here. Well not true due to other reviews that state it is cigar friendly & pictures of myself smoking a cigar just 2/3 yrs ago. We have gone multiple times this year but in the last 2 months the staff and manager has said something about our smoking, but last night was the first time we ever saw pictures of no smoking cigars in patio area.so if your looking for a cigar friendly and a place to shoot some pool, with some gambling (horse, dogs) go to Metro Sports Bar. read more

Went here for the pro shop. Pro shop was closed though. "They didn't show up today", I was told. The bartender said she'd help me. After watching this bartender help about five more people while asking me to wait I finally left. I hat this place with a passion. As for the manager, guess what?! It was the shitry bartender currently ignoring me. Bravo Bull Shooters you suck big time! read more

Incident date: August 21, 2024 Timeframe: to 8.15is to 9.45 pm AZ I have been to this place since 2018 and have participated in the pool competition once or twice, and that's why I have been a big fan of the staff (at least I was until this week) and always brought my friends here who were visiting from a different town. This was probably the biggest pool/billiard place with no wait time and quality tables. But, on August 21 when I arrived with my friends because one of them was celebrating his birthday, we had a completely awkward encounter with one of the staff members. The background is, we got out pool table and now we started playing as were very excited. I think we were in for 20 to 30 minutes but there was no server and some of us wanted to order some food but mainly the water first. The server who was assigned to our section walked through us 2-3 times and yet she didn't care to look at us or ask if what we wanted. At one time, when was collecting the drinks or fixing the table, a friend gently tried asking her and she said "one sec" but never came back. Finally we had to approach another server who was assigned for the competition area and then she told our server to help us. When our server finally got to us, she didn't look happy and completely in a different zone (when I say zone, yes, she was not normal). We told her what we wanted and we were still very nice to her with a smile. Towards the end, I simply said can we also get some water please, and she nodded yes. After a few minutes, she got us water bottles, I was like wth? It means that she was trying to SCAM us. When I asked when she came second time, she said when somebody orders water, they give water bottles, if I wanted regular water, I must mention water from jug, I already gave up after that moment. For the food as well, she took some time for which I was okay even if I was hungry (because there was a competition going on and I know the etiquette). During this time, one of my friends was already extremely disappointed and had to go to the main bar 2-3 times. A little background about him, he works as a manager at one of the top restaurants in prime Scottsdale area and in the restaurant industry for 11 years now. He said they never treat customers like this no matter if they are from whichever country or background. To conclude, I hate to say it but we felt racism and there is no answer for how we felt. The only reason I kept calm because there were other staff members who were extremely helpful and helping others. Our server was definitely on to something and she was not in a mood to help us in any way. When things got a little tense towards the end (verbally), I made sure to calm my friend but was very disappointed that the other friend's special day was ruined because I got them to the Bull Shooters. This was my last ever visit and when I say it, I mean it. I have been to 18 different countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, and never had to face what I faced here. And this is why I am posting the detailed review because our evening was ruined by that server. If the management/owner is curious about what exactly happened, then they can check the video footage and the timeline on when the server actually came to us. But before that, how times she passed our table. read more

first time at a bar with the homies. we show up get some drinks and i decide to just buy a drink - no tab. then i decide maybe i'll want 2 maybe 3 more so i open the tab for myself i get 2 more of the same drinks (3 total, all at $10.40) and they tipped themselves 38.3%/$7.97. it's not about the money, its just messed up as a first time experience to take that much like they did a special dance for me while bringing me the drink or something. also someone had queued up like 24 seether songs. even as a first timer that seems like a lot for 1 person. it was cool until it wasn't and 1. not going back 2. not leaving an open tab anywhere else because of them read more

Do not waste your time or money here, trust me. If you accidentally spill a drink from their frail glasses then they'll charge you a $150 "cleaning fee", which is actually ridiculous. I went in with my friends to have a good time and this place ruined our night because of how awful the staff was to us. They don't care about you or your experience only your money and they will take advantage to overcharge you given an opportunity. This place is a joke. Go somewhere ANYWHERE else. read more

This is a huge pool hall, first time coming. Food was pretty good. Gets busy on Saturdays for sure. They even have a karaoke room next to the outdoor smoking area. I absolutely love this bar. My girlfriend and I have been coming here for years and all the bartenders treat us like family. Absolutely LOVE Steve, Shanda, Shannon, Jess and Cece behind the bar. If you're not a complete asshole to them they will treat you like family. Also this bar has something for everyone. So many pool tables, a bunch of dart boards plus a private room in the back for darts. Don't get me started on the karaoke EVERY night. Personally have been going to this bar since it was six shooters. I love this bar but there has been a few times like tonight for instance that makes me hesitant to recommend or come to the bar again. A few years ago I was at the bar and the bartender decided to give himself a tip of my card even tho I tipped him pretty handsomely in cash. Also tonight 9/15/24. I bought 4 shots when I walked in and bought 1 additional shot when I closed my tab for pool. They charged me for a total of 7 shots which was incorrect and when I pointed this out to blonde bartender whose name I didn't get and also nick. They said I was in the wrong which is weird because you know I know how many shots i personally drank which was 2. If you go here definitely check your receipts to Make sure they are accurate. With all that being said I do honestly love The bar Mike is awesome They just need to do better. read more

Cool spot. Approx 41 pool tables. (That was the guestimate I got from the bartenders.) Drinks and decent quality bar food are all very reasonably priced.. First night I've been at this place. We went for my son's 28th birthday. We were having a great time and even enjoyed the karaoke until my family who were no trouble were accused of doing coke!!! I will never refer anyone to this place. It's really sad how they would treat someone like this. read more

It's a great place with reasonable prices. The online listing indicated that smoking cigars was allowed on the patio. This was our sixth visit, and each time, we enjoyed smoking cigars while we were there, noticing multiple other cigar enthusiasts as well. However, during this visit, the manager informed us that cigar smoking had not been permitted since the business opened. I suggested they update their Google listing, but instead, she allowed us and a few others to smoke and provided fans to help disperse the smoke. We are mindful of the fact that the smell of cigars can be polarizing, and we make every effort not to disturb others. That's why we always check if an establishment is cigar-friendly before we visit. We thanked the manager for the allowance and enjoyed the rest of our night. read more

The server came over as soon as we got to the table and we were t ready for a drink then but she never came back the whole time we were there... ok. If I could give 0 stars I would. We were patiently awaiting their reopening and made it our first place when we could go. Bouncers, staff and management who think it's acceptable to PUNCH a drunk man in the face when he needed to clearly leave then proceed to push him on the ground yelling and laughing is disgusting and you should be ashamed. We all know this is a low end (to say the least) dive bar type of place but you should still treat people with respect and still have even a small level of humanity to your people paying to support your business even when dealing with those who have been drinking. I hope you are ashamed of yourselves and somehow correct your unethical behavior. read more

I am not enough of a billiards enthusiast to fully appreciate what is THE LARGEST pool hall I've ever seen. There are several dozen tables, and a station to purchase supplies to up your game. I'm just a scrub that plays half-decent games after a couple pints, so I knew I was in way over my head. It's overtly blue collar and rough around the edges. I don't look like I'd last 5 minutes here, but I did. Expect a large drink menu but nothing too fancy. Your beer will likely be served in an old plastic cup from a bar that commands there be a singular line for thirsty patrons. Also expect minimal seating if you're not involved in a pool game or having a smoke. Overall, Bull Shooters isn't my scene...but like a good pasta or a romance novel I can appreciate and recommend it even though it's not my thing. If you wanna chat up your crew while playing pool and watching TV for 3 hours this is right up your alley. If you like music, dimly lit areas, or cool patios then shy away. read more
