We always hold our office tournaments here. Currently I'm the reigning champion of shooting pool, and throwing darts. This place has a lot of pool tables, and cheap price. The food is quite good and their wings are exceptionally juicy. They have plenty of alcohol, and their staffs is 100% awesome and friendly. I recommend you use cash, they have overcharged our black looking credit card every single time!! Thinking we are too drunk to catch on but we never get drunk, and I don't drink...!! I added some pics because I think Bullshooters expanded since they initially opened and it now looks like a killer pool hall straight out of a movie. Although from the front, it looks really small. But you walk in and see it extends way back with dozens of pool tables. Bullshooters should get five stars because I've never seen them close early. They have a decent selection of draft beer and of course PBR in can or bottle. There's drink specials every day...plus happy hour in the afternoon and reverse happy hour 4 or 5 days of the week. Plus random specials like when the Dbacks play and stuff like that. 3 bucks should get you some kind of beer and enough left over for tip. Not sure what the food is like but this is one of the best bars, if not the best bar on 35th Ave. And easily the best pool hall in North/Northwest Phoenix. read more

Great place to shoot some pool. This place has 40+ tables of all sizes. 7ft diamond, 2 11ft snooker tables, many 9ft tables. The rates are also pretty cheap compared to the other places. Dig this place. Finally found a really good close-by bar to play darts in. Bull Shooters has a lot going for it in my book... First, I LOVE the sign at the front banning vaping. AWESOME! Every bar need this, I don't want to smell that nasty cotton-candy-meets-asshole oil vapor stench indoors. This place is huge, near grocery store sized. Tons of pool tables, about 10 soft tip dart boards and half a dozen steel tip boards. Shuffleboard table, a sweet vintage Lethal Weapon 3 pinball table and lots of mismatched, but comfy, seating. Mid-afternoon isn't too busy, so perfect place to stop in for a few games after work. Picks up considerably after 7pm. Service has been good. Girls behind the bar are friendly, attentive and efficient. Waitresses start up in the evening and table service is pretty attentive, too. Good staff here. Drink prices are reasonable. $6 Rolling Rock pitchers kick ass, and having every Red Bull color under the sun is awesome. Food is typical low-end bar deep-fryer fare, and is a bit pricey for what it is. Meh. Frys are decent, though. Two gripes; 1) some of the regulars can be a bit territorial, but that's kind of par for the course. Makes the people watching more interesting, I suppose and 2) either their beer lines need a clean, or their cooler is stinky, because every drink or beer has an odd odor from either the glass or the liquid. Other than that, this place will be my summer go-to after-work when the temps make mountain biking a death sentence. read more

First of all the crowd is horrible so when you want to go to the bathroom with your friend for safety apparently you get kicked out... all we did was pee together because it was scary for girls and half of the customers were completely unsafe. Since Metro Sportz tables are nasty dirty and I've been playing there for around 20 years I thought I would give Bullshooter's a try since I have never done that. I was checked in on the front table, the challenge table expecting some action. The waitress came and kicked me off the table and told me I'm not allowed to play by myself. So I'm giving them two stars instead of one star only because the gentleman at the bar was really cool and didn't charge me for my 5 minutes of play time. This is our go to spot for drinks and pool! We always try to get our favorite tables (7 and 13) and their wait staff are super friendly and very fun to chat with. You can tell that their tables are well maintained and the prices are fair ($.75 to $1) we prefer the $1 tables because they're in better shape. You can pay by the hour but we find paying per game works just fine for us. I'd imagine if you're having a party or something then you'd want to pay by the hour. The food is basic bar food and they have some in house specialty burgers and wings and their chips and salsa rock! Their on tap drinks rotate weekly which I'm not too fond of but its not a deal breaker! If you're looking for a great place to play a game of pool or darts I'd highly recommend Bull Shooters! The reason I give then 4 stars and not 5 is because I'd like to see more regular alcohol choices (on tap) and their menu could use more choices as well such as sampler platters and more options that aren't fried. read more

This is one of a only a few pool hall type venues in N Phoenix. To be honest, compared to the other locations in the area, it's higher priced, tables aren't taken care of as well, and most importantly - the management never turns on the air high enough and so it's usually like playing pool in a sweat lodge. On Friday we were kicked off our tiny pool table for a league. There were plenty of large tables that we forced to play on for $10 an hour. We like the smaller tables for .75¢. A dear friend of mine turned 40 in January and her mother arranged for a get together to celebrate her birthday here. I was a little put off at the idea of a pool hall and when I looked up the location, I realized this had some other name when we were in high school and has been around for a long time. The whole Metro Center area has changed a lot over the years. Back in the 80's it was a great place to cruise (when we weren't on Central Avenue), but I digress. I borrowed mom's car, drove from Sun City and arrived close to the start time of the get together. I have been friends with Kari since we were 15 and by coming to town for her birthday weekend, was able to see some women I hadn't seen since we finished high school(back in 1989, yeah I know....) I had very low expectations and I was glad. The place is pretty run down but super low key. Had I been there for other reasons, I would have entered into one of their nightly poker tournaments, but I was there for other reasons. There was a small group of people for this shindig-around 15 at one point but really about 10 for the long haul. No one ended up playing pool, but there were tons of tables, along with darts and some video games. They had a great jukebox and we had a blast playing all sorts of music from several different decades. They offer food (no one ordered any), a full bar and lots of specials on beer. The cocktail waitresses were very nice but that could be because I tip very well, but it was fun. This place could use a really good cleaning as I left smelling like something stale/moldy. Another GhettoCenter area place that's on my recent free-chip-tourney-poker-binge route, BullShooters is a huge pool hall bar. Formerly known as SixShooters, I guess that name wasn't setting a very good example of the kind of behavior they'd like you to exhibit while patronizing their fine establishment. They must be getting a slightly better caliber of patrons now, since only a single bouncer was present at the front door area, and this guy would have to fart to have even a hint of an air of 'Bad-Ass' anywhere near him. The place is quite large, with plenty of space for uncrowded games at a couple dozen or more pool tables, plus dart games, foosball, a few video games, vending machines, etc,etc. There is a kind of a side room with tables for eating, etc, but that's where they put the poker tables. The smoker's patio is just off this room, and the opening between has no door or enclosure at all. This lets way too much smoke into the building, and I can't see how it fits with the current state laws. I'm calling BullShooot! The servers here are abundant; I got serviced (i got served? it all sounds wrong) right away and never waited for refills. They keep 'em in tight tanks and jeans, and that works, of course, but anyone I interacted with was genuinely friendly. Our date nights have been dinner and a movie lately so came here to buck the norm. I was not expecting a super fancy pool hall yet although this place is very casual, it's also very enjoyable. Lots of pool table and when we arrived around 6pm, it was not that busy so we were able to get a table toward the back so as to display our embarrassing pool skills. Although we were in the back, we still had an attentive waitress approach us and the staff in general was very friendly. The bartender especially was friendly in that he knew this being our first time, he was accommodating without being condescending. In addition to pool, they also offer darts, card tables and a really big shuffle board that was awesome. We had a great time and with a bill totaling under $20 for 2 hrs of pool/games with drinks, I will certainly make an effort to come back. read more

First off to say it is one of the biggest bars I've been to in the state. Shuffleboard, darts, God knows how many pool tables they have set in there, great service of bartenders both awesome and funny, Andy's awesome. Some Saturday nights, they have MMA fights on all the TVs as well. And on top of that, karaoke(in a pretty good size area with tables and chairs and new looking booths right next to A smoking area which is part of the outside edge balcony)Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. That's one of the reasons why I go there, and everyone that usually hangs out in that area claps more often than other bars I've been to, which is a good feeling of respect as well. This review is kind of late at being posted. I have a handful of friends that come here often so come near years eve this is exactly where they wanted to go. They always have the best stories about all the fun they had when they came here so I jumped on that bandwagon to go there for new years eve. Specially when I found out that there was no door fee, or maybe it was no door fee before a certain time. Either way I didn't pay to get in there. The place was shockingly huge, I didn't realize how big it would be, how many pool tables and other games there would be. I loved that there was plenty of space where you wouldn't have to wait around forever for a table. But bummer, the place was also dead. We sat around there for well over an hour waiting for it to pick up and when it didn't we opted to just go back to my friends house for new years night. Maybe it was busy after we left, I wouldn't know because it was pretty dead the one time I went there. Finally, a straight up pool hall. They had pool, darts, table tennis and it looked like a few others. This place is huge! The staff was good and they know how to run a pool hall. They took care of the tables and sticks. The atmosphere was nice and well lite. They had a number of TV's and I really liked the softer music level, you could have a conversation to the person next to you pretty easily. if you're looking to play pool, this is it. I can't attest to the food but the beer was cheap and the tables were pretty average, $10 an hour or so. I'd come back for sure. read more

One of the best dart bars I've been to. They have tons of soft and steel tip boards and very organized and dependable tournaments for soft tip. You know every friday there will be a large group with good players. These tournaments are tough to last in with the blind draws. There is a large mix of skill levels but makes for some fun and sometimes agonizing games. I would recommend to any dart player coming through Phoenix. read more

Have been here before for games, beer and a couple of times had wings. Those were not too bad. But today I decided to try their "Famous Julie's Green Chile Burrito", and decided, why not, let's have it "smothered". It was a disappointment. You would think that when you pay $12 for a burrito you will be eating delicious green Chile beef, especially if it's "famous". Well, more like infamous. First of all, there were exactly 4 little pieces of meat in the whole burrito of a very soft, undercooked tortilla. In between those few pieces of meat I found 2 huge tendons; nasty to feel that in your mouth unexpectedly. The "sauce" under the yellow melted cheese they used to "smother" the burrito was something chunky that looked like something my cat would barf. Only way to describe it. Sad part is, I was hungry and the taste wasn't horrible, so I ate without looking at my food anymore. Couldn't finish the plate, given the sogginess of the uncooked tortilla. Lesson learned: DO NOT waste money in their "infamous" burrito. Stick to drinks and chips. read more
