Not recommended as a restaurant because of the service.
Barry Y.

Comments in prior Yelp reviews question why it is so empty. It does have about ten tables half of which can seat eight. If it is a restaurant, it is self-serve. Self-serve included take out containers for your left overs (under where the cash register is) Chop Sticks (on the table) spoons and forks (same place as the chopsticks) and so on. If you sit down and do not participate in the self-serve menu program, they will bring you one. There are three levels of hot, should you help yourself to inquire. If you always have enjoyed spicy hot food, and eat it so hot others can't, get level two. On a return visit, ordering level three is unthinkable. . The noodles in the Chicken Pad Thai were tender. The texture was firm, and there was a nice assortment of vegetables. There were not self-serve fortune cookies. This is really a takeout place. The service is reluctant. The men's rest room was clean, but had an odd chemical odor. The exhaust fan was running but the air was thick with the smell. . Little Asia is in the Fry's shopping center. You cannot see it from Cactus Road. If you face Fry's it will be on your left. The Pad Thai all told was $16.66 including tip. I tried to get a printed receipt. They avoided me. Little Asia is not recommended as a restaurant. The service would be nil, if you do not insist they serve you. Two stars: there is too much to overlook.

2 stars bc it looked fairly clean and one of the workers was actively cleaning the floor when we walked in. There was no one in here around 12:30 on a Saturday. I thought it was odd as the parking lot seemed pretty busy. It is in a strip mall though. The nice thing is that they have lunch specials even on a Saturday. I had no idea what to get. Kiddo wanted orange chicken. I asked if the Thai noodles were good and they said yes. No and no. We disliked both. Sorry but I'm glad I didn't drive far for it. It's probably my fault that I assumed "Thai noodles" would be flat rice noodles not chow mein noodles, and I didn't even ask. Maybe they had a picture somewhere and I wasn't paying attention. I didn't look at the pics of all the food here before stopping in. There was basically almost no flavor in either item. Maybe we came at a bad time, but if other people like it or love it, great for them. Kiddo (under 10) and I did not like either item.

Every time I eat here, it's like eating home cooked meals. You can see everything being cooked in front of you. I've gotten a variety of sushi rolls, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, peanut curry, Thai pineapple fried rice. One of my favorites is the peanut curry with chicken and then the Alaska sushi roll. They are open late. The couple of times I've been at the restaurant it's empty inside, yet lots of to-go orders. I recommend trying it out.

YELLOW CURRY chicken thigh, potato, carrots, chili paste and coconut milk, potato, diced onion, basil leaf, comes with 2 scoops of rice

WOW some of the best YELLOW CURRY that I've had in a while. Chicken thigh, potato, carrots, chili paste and coconut milk, potato, diced onion, basil leaf, comes with 2 scoops of rice. As the Terminator would say I'll be back.

I recently ordered takeout for the first time from little asia and I'm still thinking about it because yes, it was that good. I got a small Chicken Teriyaki plate and a small plate of Orange Chicken, and right off the bat the presentation blew me away for a takeout spot, the care they put into plating the dishes was beyond impressive neat, vibrant, and honestly some of the best presentation I've ever seen from a takeout restaurant. Flavor-wise, both dishes were packed with bold, satisfying tastes. The Chicken Teriyaki had that perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet, with tender chicken and a beautifully glazed finish. But the real standout for me was the Orange Chicken... I'm usually cautious with this dish since it tends to be overly sweet at most places, but not here! The sauce had a bright, tangy flavor that brought real depth and balance. Beyond the food, the service was incredibly fast and the staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. You can tell they care about what they're doing, and it shows in every aspect from the packaging to the warm customer interaction. This place is the definition of a hidden gem. I truly hope they get the recognition and business they deserve, because they're serving up exceptional food with heart. Overall rating: 11/10. If you're anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and try them out. You won't regret it.

Pad Thai, Papaya Salad, Veggie Roll, Tempura Veggie Roll

Delicious! The Pad Thai had wonderful plating, we just mixed it ourselves before the picture was taken.

This was my first time trying Hawaiian food and I have to say I honestly think I was given the wrong dish. I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken which did say spicy in the menu was very overwhelming with cayenne pepper heat and it tasted like there was maybe oysters or oyster sauce in the meal which was not listed. It was very tasty and it was a very different experience with the new aromas. The sticky rice was on point!!! We ordered a few different appetizers and they were all so delicious and fresh!! I will say the sweet and sour sauce needs a different recipe it mostly tasted like water and wasn't as tangy as you'd hope to pair along with a veggie spring roll. My favorite dish from this visit was definitely the chicken dumplings, you have to ask for the dumpling sauce it is like a seasoned soy sauce. You'll thank me later!! As for service, the staff was not wearing hair nets or a uniform it was very casual like a tshirt and basketball shorts. Looked a little unprofessional and some of the silverware up front was sticky and not clean. I hope to revisit soon with better service and maybe get the correct order at least. I can't complain completely as I still ate my food and it was good I just didn't like the fishy taste and how spicy it was, my nose was running and eyes were watering so beware of their spices!

Little Asia Cuisine is located in a strip mall in Phoenix. They offer sushi, Hawaiian big plates, Thai soups, ramens, mohinga (Burmese fish noodle soup), rice dishes, noodle dishes, American Chinese and MORE! It's not a fancy place but it seems sparkling clean. It looks like you order at the counter and pay type of place so that is what we did. Other people that came in after us just sat themselves and the girl behind the counter waited on them so I think it rolls either way? We shared three dishes. Chicken dumplings - TASTY but greasy. Mohinga (fish noodle soup) - I am not an expert on Burmese cuisine so I don't know if this is a lighter, thinner style with less texture or just not taken as far comparing to the other ones I've tried. Spicy chicken fried rice - large generous portion. #3 heat is REALLY HOT! fresh food. Not very flavorful just HOT! There is so much on the menu. I don't know their sweet spots. Prices are very reasonable. It seemed like 80% of the menu is less than $10. They have some potential here. 3 stars is A-OK on Yelp and means Worth Trying! 3.5 stars

Spicy Tuna Roll, Hawaiian Roll and Philly Roll

We had lunch here on Mother's Day, my daughter had visited late last month and she said she loved the sushi and the ramen. I was a little hesitant but it did not disappoint. The sushi was delicious and the food was just as good. For appetizers we had the pot stickers, crab rangoons and jalapeño poppers (must try!) Sushi we had the Hawaiian roll, Spicy tuna roll, Vegas and Philly. The purple rice adds a little tang, we loved it. We also had Orange Chicken and the Malaysian fried noodles, I was expecting more of an udon noodle but these noodles were very tasty. Service was as expected for only 2 people working, they were both very polite and the food and sushi was worth the wait. This place may not be be so nice on the outside but the food is great, don't be shy stop by!

The staff here are so kind it really made the experience of having to wait a bit so much better! The gentleman at the front door recommended a wine bar around the corner to wait at after we got on the list, which was a cute divey spot. The food was delicious, we loved the papaya salad so much, there were so many flavors of spicy and tangy, and the papaya itself was very refreshing. We had the Pad kee mao and Panang curry which were also delicious. For the chicken pad kee mao we requested it to be gluten free and they gave us the same rice noodles as the Pad Thai and a slightly different sauce which was so darn good! The chicken was very tender. When the Panang curry said it came with beef, I didn't know what to think but after a single bite I was a huge fan! So many flavors hit you at once and the beef was so incredible, it was falling part. I also ordered the savory cocktail option (I can't remember the name) which had cucumber vodka, fish sauce, mint, onion, and some other goodies, and wow! It changed my life. Highly highly recommend. Overall would definitely come back here, we were a walk in on a Saturday night and had an hour and a half wait to get in.

It's a small plate type of restaurant and we tried 5 different ones: 1-egg noodles with pork belly...delicious!!! The pork belly pieces were so tender and the noodles were perfect. 2-fried bamboo with sweet chili sauce...amazing! I would love to have a bag of these and just eat them like chips while watching TV...LOL! 3-stir-fry bok choy with tofu in a garlicky sauce...one of our biggest surprises of the evening! What a wonderful way to eat your greens, along with the most flavorful tofu I've ever had. (We actually ordered it twice.) 4-scallop crudo with garlic and lemon sauce...refreshing! I'm not a big scallop person, but these were so fresh and so good! 5-fried chicken with a sweet/savory dipping sauce...very good! The chicken came like wings, very crispy and juicy. Everything we had was incredible! Unfortunately, I'm allergic to curry and mango, so our choices were somewhat limited. I'm just glad we were able to find these dishes that were so awesome. The only downside is the parking. It's street parking, but there are a bunch of apartments all around, so the spots were very limited. There are some pay parking lots, but they're pretty far from the restaurant. Hubby drove around and did find a spot about a block and a half down a side street. But, to be honest, it was a nice little walk back to the car after eating. What a fun time and a delectable experience!!

We parked right around the corner on 2nd street which has a super cool 3-story office building made out of shipping containers. Neighboring buildings have painted murals. Service was prompt, attentive and polite. Dishes are served and are intended to be shared. We ordered: NAW TAWT fried bamboo, Thai basil, spicy & savory crushed peanut nam jim dipping sauce -which is quite large and monotonous for two people. For 4-6 people it's worth a try but this is to much fried bamboo for two people. PAD KWANG TOON stir-fried bok choy, tofu, garlic, Thai chili- a mild dish. KAENG PHET FAK TAWNG hand-pounded curry paste, hand-squeezed coconut milk, kabocha squash, bamboo shoots, makheua eggplant, Thai basil- delicious with a bit of spice just shy of medium. YAM SAI BAI seaweed salad, hand-pounded curry paste, crispy anchovies, toasted coconut, makrut lime leaf, shallot, green mango- delicious and assertive and again to much for just 2 people. We took more than half home. We also ordered the madame madame cocktail which was slightly tart and delicious. Give this restaurant a try.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.
