Sorry people! No pics. We ate everything before I remembered. Learn Pork: Omani dressing. The pork with nicely cut into small pieces and tasted fabulous. The satay chicken was so succulent. The cucumber sauce and peanut sauce complement the grilled chicken. I tried my daughter's massaman curry and that was rich and creamy!

We got to their location around 9pm and they were no longer able to seat us which was a bit frustrating since online and on the door it say they close at 10pm. There is a lot of seating for those who are able to dine in. They did accept our to-go order and the food made it worth it. We got the veggie rolls and potstickers as appetizers. Both were good. The veggie rolls were extremely oily but the flavor made up for it. Pad Thai lacked flavor. Green curry was spicy and very good flavor. We got the mango sticky rice for dessert. It was pretty runny but nice and sweet.

Service was nice, the staff was sweet and helpful. The location does have an odor, like it is in need of a deep clean--respectfully. It has the smell of sticky soy sauce or sauce in general if you know what that smells like. The food came out in nice portions! I went with a friend and we got the drunken noodles, the peppered steak, and veggie spring rolls. The drunken noodles had almost just as much onion as noodles and the noodles with cut up for some reason, the basil overpowered the dish and added too much of an aromatic taste that it was nauseating. The peppered steak, according to my friend was really nice but just too much sauce--would've been so much better if it wasn't drenched, just some friendly feedback, and the veggie spring rolls were delish! I'll admit after eating here, my stomach was instantly in knots and I cook and have all types of dishes. It was not a fun time when I got home. Overall, nice experience but for the cleanness, price and quality? Probably won't come back for a while.

Pad Thai with shrimp, beef and green beans, and the Penang curry.

Tom Yum Thai is such a cozy little spot -- feels super homey as soon as you walk in. The menu is huge (in a good way), so it was hard to pick, but we ended up getting the shrimp Pad Thai, beef with green beans, and the Penang curry. Everything had great flavor and the portions were generous -- the three of us shared and still had leftovers, which actually held up really well the next day. They've got a decent beer selection too, which was a nice bonus. The woman helping us was so sweet and checked in often to make sure we were good. We're from California but come to Arizona pretty often to visit family, and this has become one of our favorite spots to eat when we're here. Highly recommend!

They offer vegan options. Will customize according to your meal preference. I have tried coconut vegetable soup, vegetable soup, yellow vegetable curry, house vegetable fried rice with tofu. The service is speedy and efficient. The ambiance is low key casual, small, & intimate.

I love the harmonious blend of different flavor elements that Thai food offers. Sweet, spicy, or sour, dishes are all excellent in taste. The spicy chicken basil was a hit for my fiancé and I. Savory and super spicy with a tad hint of sweetness. We enjoyed it. Their pad see ew, 4/5 with their chili oil! The service went great. The ladies were sweet and accommodating. Soft relaxing music with a sophisticated ambiance. Will be back whenever I'm craving Thai again :)

Food is usually good. They have given a military discount in past. This last time they gave the discount then added that amount in gratuity. Unethical!

This place seemed like our best bet. Since this time of year is busy in AZ with so many snowbirds, I booked a reservation through the online portal. It didn't end up being necessary. We were seated right away and never asked about our reservation. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. From the parking lot, it looks small and more like a fast food place, but it is actually looks double the size once you get inside. It has a nice sit-down ambience with new, clean, and somewhat rigid booths. Straight posture was definitely encouraged here in these upright seats. Although it does seem like a lot of people might order items to go, we were shielded from any traffic while eating. To start, we shared some sushi rolls. The spicy salmon was nice, but I really liked the sweetness of the unagi eel roll. They were a little sloppy in preparation, but this didn't impact the flavor. Each plate came with 8 pieces of sushi, some sliced ginger, and a small ball of wasabi. My uncle asked for an additional plate of wasabi and the server delivered it, but he commented on how they usually end up throwing it away because most people don't eat much of the green ball of fire. The table had a container of disposable chopsticks as well as two types of soy sauce. I was delighted to find the 50% less sodium variety with the green label. small plates with one paper napkin each were part of the setup. We had to ask our server for more napkins after my husband splatter soy sauce all over himself. The server brought just two more. It really wasn't enough to fix the 101-dalmatian spots he had acquired from the black soy splattered all over his white jacket. We also ordered curry. My uncle indulged in the pumpkin curry with shrimp. The bowl was massive - much bigger than mine. I had the red curry with tofu. It was beautifully presented with perfectly formed cubes of extra firm tofu lined up in the yellow soup. There was also bright red strips of bell pepper adding a pop of contrasting color. Unfortunately it didn't seem like my curry was well blended. It was as if they added cold coconut milk to a hot pan and it possibly heated up too fast causing it to separate and slightly curdle. Despite this, it still tasted good. I did have some trouble with the large size of tofu and the length of the bell pepper strips. I wish both had been just a tad bit smaller to fit in my mouth. I only had a spoon, so cutting the pieces wasn't an option. To go, I ordered the spicy green beans with shrimp to take home to my mom. She enjoyed two meals out of it. The shrimp was large and plump. Plus there was no shell or tail to pull off making it much easier and more pleasant to eat. Our bill came out to just over $100 with iced tea and sake added to the above. It seemed reasonable for the five plates we ordered. We had come during happy hour where certain items are a dollar cheaper, but I don't think we ended up ordering off that discounted menu. All and all, it was a decent meal and experience. I might come back here because of the convenient location and the availability of both sushi and Thai curry on the menu.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.

I ordered the way I did on purpose. These are my go to Thai dishes. The staples. I wanted to taste everything I consider my personal favorites so I could really gauge the restaurant across the board. The vegetable egg rolls and chicken satay were good. Solid. The potstickers were good. The chicken larb was actually good, maybe a little too much sugar, it tasted slightly sweet, but still one of the stronger dishes. Mango sticky rice was enjoyable. The Thai iced tea, flavor was on point. That's actually my first indicator when I try a Thai restaurant. The only thing that would've made it better is crushed ice. Real Thai spots usually use crushed ice. It melts perfectly and dilutes the sweetness just right. When you use block ice, the tea stays too sweet longer. Crushed ice gives it that smooth balance. Small detail, but that's how I gauge authenticity. Now to the honest part. The pad Thai was mediocre. It was lacking. I've definitely had better and I wouldn't recommend that dish. The spicy fried rice was okay, nothing special. The lad na gravy was way too thick, and instead of using Chinese broccoli, they used regular American broccoli. That's usually my second give when I rate a Thai restaurant. Traditional lad na uses Chinese broccoli. That swap changes the texture and the authenticity of the dish. They also didn't have the typical sauce that usually complements lad na, which I found strange for a Thai restaurant. The Thai fried rice was decent. Overall, I'm giving this place four stars. Here's my why. First, they didn't have common condiments that are pretty standard at most Thai restaurants. That threw me off. Second, the service. They weren't rude at all. Everyone was friendly. But the attentiveness just wasn't there, especially considering we placed a large order and the restaurant wasn't that busy. Third, the flavor and authenticity details. It just didn't hit the way traditional Thai food usually does. I've eaten Thai food all my life, especially in Thai Town in California and throughout Orange County, and the flavor profile here wasn't on that level. If someone asked me if I would return, probably not. But don't let my review stop you. Be your own judge. My goal isn't to hurt the business. It's feedback. Tighten up the service, dial in the flavor, stick closer to traditional ingredients, and it could easily level up to five stars for my taste. And yes, expectations vary. I've eaten a lot of Thai food, so I may be grading on a different curve. One more tip, if you're a party of six or more, double check your receipt. Gratuity was already included in ours and I didn't realize until I got back to where I was staying since I'm out of town. I had to call and have the extra tip removed. Just keeping it real.
