Let me start by saying the food is delicious! The pho broth was very fragrant and flavorful. The pho burrito was such a fun fusion and did not lack in any flavor. It was messy to dip, so I would recommend just biting the burrito and sipping the broth. The Bahn me had perfectly soft and crispy bread, the ratios of the fillings were awesome, and the flavors had so much depth. The spring rolls were what you would expect of a spring roll and did not disappoint in flavor. They were a bit hard to eat as the wrappers were sticking to each other and hard to pull apart, as well as they were not fully wrapped so both ends were open. I'm not sure if it was just a busy time when we came in, but we were definitely forgotten about. Tables that got into the restaurant after us received their food and were finished before we got our items. The staff was very nice, be it took some time to get our food. I think they may have been struggling with their order placing system as well. The food was really good though, so I will definitely be giving them another try in the future and hopefully the service will be better! read more

Disappointing experience. I arrived at PT Pho Express at 11:50 AM, and the restaurant was closed even though the posted hours online showed that they were supposed to be open. I specifically made the trip based on the listed business hours, so it was frustrating to arrive and find the doors closed with no indication as to why. They messed up my order HORRIBLY. First they forgot the sauce cups they make sure to charge you extra for. Then upon arriving home I open the food containers to realize they didn't even put any broth in with the order of pho. So I have to drive another 15 minutes back to get the broth. I get back in my car, and realize "hey I didn't see any steak in the pho container holding the noodles, and I don't see any steak in the broth either" so I get back out of my car walk back in and ask where the steak is. He says in a patronizing way "it's in the broth if it's a To-Go order that's how we do it" to which I responded "I can go grab it for you if you want there's no steak in there" so he gave me another one, walking out the lady who was working in front and handed me my order in the first place calls out "okayyy you could be nicerrr" as I'm walking out. So I walk back in and said "you could also do your job, how do you work at a pho place and forget the broth? You guys are wasting my time why would I be nice?!" And the whole time she's just repeating loudly over and over in the most ratchet way "okayyyyy you could be nicerrrr doesn't matter you could be nicerrrr" I was honestly waiting for her to start clapping. ‍ I guess it's easy for the minimum wage hood rat driving a beat up Altima, to get defensive when she is actually to blame and responsible for the horrible way my order was mangled (she worked in front and handed me the order) to expect everybody else to not be frustrated at her obvious PHUCK UP. the entitlement was insane. Think about it: To know you were the reason half the order was missing and you didn't do your job right, which is causing me to waste time and money making multiple trips back to fix the order yet she still has the audacity to play victim and say I need to be nicer?? That is insane. But that's okay. At the end of the day I actually have skills and take pride in my work That's why I make a lot of $ and just bought a brand new construction house at 28 years old while they make minimum wage live at home with mommy and daddy or rent, and can't even do their unskilled labor job correctly. I am not the usual type to write a review, let alone a bad one. However, what had happened today was indescribably disappointing. On February 23 2026, I was craving Bun Bo Hue. I was looking around where I lived because my usual spot, Pho House Restaurant (on Litchfield n Van Buren), closes on Mondays. I found PT Pho Express on 99th n McDowell. I look through their menu and found "Hot & Spicy Noodles Soup - Bun Bo Hue", I called their number (6239367633) at 4:56 PM. From what I heard, a white 20-30 year old woman picked up the phone. I told her about 3 times that I was ordering Bun Bo Hue. After 10 minutes my boyfriend and I arrived at the restaurant, he got off the car to pick up. As he got back in the car, it looked nothing like Bun Bo Hue AND didn't have the broth. Seemed like teriyaki beef on top of dry noodles with lettuce on the side. My boyfriend went back inside to tell the workers they gave him the wrong thing. They told him to look through the physical menu to see what exactly it was that he asked for. Nothing on the menu said Bun Bo Hue. I sent him the picture of what was on their website. Apparently on their physical menu it doesn't even say Bun Bo Hue, but rather Hot & Spicy??? That is literally what it's called in their physical menu. The workers were kind enough to give us the real Bun Bo Hue. As we came back home, the broth was extremely cold and odd looking. The noodles were all extremely small and cut in length by a ton. Am I eating rice? Once I heated it up, I was even more disappointed as it didn't taste like Bun Bo Hue at all. The meat is so flimsy and the texture to be described as grainy. Needless to say, I'm never coming back here. Save yourself and just don't order from here. So I just recently moved to Avondale from the East Valley and miss my fav Pho place in Mesa. I decided to try the closest place I could find...which led me here. I ordered summer shrimp rolls and a regular size chicken Pho. The summer rolls were good but who could mess that up?! My pho was a disappointment because my meat was dried out and my noodles were all the way soft. I ordered to go 2x and the workers were pleasant. I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over two years, dating back to when I was pregnant, and have ordered or dined in almost weekly because it's close to my home and I genuinely enjoy the food. I have always paid, been respectful, and never caused any issues. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been extremely disappointing and concerning. Since Valerie was promoted to General Manager and her sister began working there, the level of professionalism has noticeably declined. Her sister has been consistently rude not only to me, but to other staff as well, which has impacted the overall experience. When I attempted to address the issue by asking to speak with Valerie, my call was abruptly hung up. After that, my calls were no longer answered. I was later told by Tony (who was professional and kind enough to call me back) that Valerie made the decision to refuse me service entirely -- without explanation -- despite my long history as a loyal, paying customer. Being banned as a customer without cause, conversation, or accountability is unacceptable and reflects poorly on management. I hope the owner sees this and takes a closer look at how this location is being managed, as long-time customers should not be treated this way. read more

Came in with my family and it wasn't busy, so that was nice. The guy sat us at a booth but we ended up moving to a larger table just because there wasn't enough room at the booth for us. It took a while to get our order, and my cousins order was wrong. I also heard someone picking up their order stating that the food is cold and it's not suppose to be. Not sure what happened there. Now, here is where it went for a turn, my cousins order found a hair in her food, the guy tried to defend it as lemongrass and gave her a new bowl. But, meanwhile. It was making me sick to my stomach seeing her go from the front to the back and touching the food. I prefer the beef vermicelli way waaayy more than the pork one- the first time I ordered pork and the meat had a really strange smell and it was mostly the fatty parts so I had to throw it away. The beef was seasoned nicely and didn't traumatize me. Bowl also comes with noodles, bean sprouts, green onions, a small bunch of greens, and sprinkles of peanuts. Arrived at the restaurant and it was pretty empty, therefore I expected for the service to be rapid and for our server to check in frequently. We placed our order and our server unfortunately forgot about our egg rolls and our drink. It took about 10 mins for my husband's food to come out and about 15-20 for my food. I had ordered chicken stir fry and when it was brought out it was missing the noodles. When I mentioned it the server did apologize and said that they had a new cook and would get me the noodles. Another few minutes passed and he brought the noodles but they were sadly dry along with the white rice in the stir fry. Not once were we asked if we would like a refill on our drinks throughout the time we spent. When it came to paying the coke he never brought out was added to our receipt and we mentioned it to the lady checking us out and she apologized. I have been to other PT noodles locations, giving them a 3.5 stars. This one was new and bigger, so I been there a few times. The place has a modern design, but the cleanliness is not always so clean, and service can be hit or miss. The food is GOOD and love they close at 9pm.
