China Red was recommended to my wife and I about 2 years ago. It is a bit of a drive for us but well worth it. Their consistency is the most noteworthy characteristic of this family run business. This will forever be my favorite Chinese food restaurant. We drive 40 mins one way for it! They offer lunch & dinner pricing--lunch pricing is cheaper $11.50 or so per combo) & dinner pricing is around $15.90 per combo. Your food comes piled high in its container, you also get an egg roll, a Rangoon, egg drop soup, and then your meal. In my case with the orange chicken, at lunch time it's orange chicken + fried rice, and at dinner it's orange chicken, fried rice + noodles. They are always very quick to make your items. They don't have a fountain drink machine but do offer canned drinks. They have a bathroom available for use. Decent amount of seating inside. Well, I tried eating here once again (05/29), and the chicken was not too bad, although a couple of pieces were a bit tough and stringy. The following morning my stomach felt a little upset so I did not eat throughout the entire day. By 6:00 PM, I had food poisoning. We pinned it down to Clostridium perfringens - the noodles are are stored in a large stainless steel container and are not kept at a hot enough temperature. My husband had the same food without the noodles and he did not get sick. Not a fun experience. read more

We were very pleased with China Red Cafe. It's hard to find good Chinese food on the west side of town. They do a tremendous take out business. We decided to eat at the restaurant. The family who helped us were such wonderful people and made sure we were taken care of. I did love that each table had forks, spoons,chopsticks, napkins, and soy sauce at the ready. We started with crab puffs. They were your standard puffs. If you do order the dinner combo, you will get one with that meal. We then each ordered dinner combos. I had Orange Chicken and my husband got Cashew Chicken. Let me tell you,BE PREPARED FOR A LARGE SERVING! One meal could feed 2-3 people. So be ready for left overs! My orange chicken was really good. I always strive to find the chicken cooked this certain way, thinner chicken pieces with a nice breading. The sauce was nice and sweet and not over-powering. I checked online and for your sides, you can do just rice or chow mein but you have the option to split it. I got chow mein and fried rice. Next time I may just do chow mein since it will make delicious left overs. The cashew chicken was fine but I know we prefer more of a brown sauce, but everything was so fresh. Love having crunchy veggies! The egg drop soup included with the combo was really nice. Again, fresh carrots and celery gave it such a nice taste. Finally, the spring roll was crunchy and so hot. I was amazed it stayed warm the whole time I had it. Very fresh! We will be back with a new game plan, just so we don't waste food. Very happy! read more

I didn't realize it was more of a fast food place rather than sit down. There are places to eat inside, but you have to order at the counter. I much prefer Big Buddha in Surprise. I can't say it's a recommend, but the food wasn't terrible. read more

Had dinner with the family here on Sunday night. Number one, the food was sooooooooo good. I didn't take a picture until I was almost done lol. The service was excellent. They made us feel so welcomed, which as a large group(there was 9 of us lol) can be a little crazy for a restaurant a few hours before they close, but they handled everything with so much care. We really appreciated them. I'd recommend you try anything. We ordered orange chicken, house chicken, shrimp fried rice, pork fried rice, walnut chicken, walnut shrimp, chicken fried rice, salt and pepper chicken wings, shrimp chow mein and general tso's chicken. Food is tasty, last time I was here the portions were huge, this time we got the hunan 2 which is shrimp and chicken for lunch. I added 1 extra soup and 1 extra chicken eggroll. She up charged me for the soup supposedly it comes with only egg drop, it was over $20 for one combo. When we got our food it was 3 pieces of shrimp and 4 bite size pieces of chicken! Another new place for me. Small place with limited seating. Seemed like most people were ordering takeout from here. In fact we were the only dine in customers there. Food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot. The beef and chicken chow mein were good. The beef broccoli and orange chicken were good also. The jalapeño chicken had way too many onions for me but tasted good. The only thing that was bad was they didn't have any fountain drinks, only cans. They did offer ice water which tasted ok.
