Yoshi's is our guilty pleasure when we use our monthly chase benefit food credit. Order thru DoorDash for pickup; apply the benefit and done. Love the veggie base and the spiciness is just right. Served piping hot and in good travel containers to get home. Staff are always friendly and everything is put in stapled bags. They do a hopping business here for good reason. Happy hour is an awesome deal. There are also some specials that are decently priced as well! But the rest of the menu does not correlate. Like $7 for chicken, rice, and teriyaki sauce is whack. I think they should reduce their prices by $1 or $1.50 unless the plate has 3 or 4 items outside the sauce. That said. Yoshi's is a no-frills staple, and I thoroughly enjoy it each time I get it. They gave me the wrong food, then tried to give me the food the other customer just returned. It was Saturday 11/19 at 12:30pm. Another lady had just ordered when I walked in. I ordered a chicken bowl with veggies. About two minutes after I ordered, the cashier brought out food and said "chicken bowl with veggies". The other lady walked up and grabbed it. I assumed she just ordered the same thing because the cashier said the order out loud. The next order came out and she said my order was ready. I asked her if it was also a chicken bowl with veggies. She looked me in the eyes and told me Yes I should have just opened the bag and checked myself but she literally told me to my face it was a chicken bowl and veggies. I got home and it was a curry bowl with a huge container of curry sauce. Clearly not even close. I go back and they say the other lady who got my food had just left. It was still on the counter and they tried to hand me the one the lady took home. I told them I wanted a fresh one because I wanted fresh food when I got home too. I didn't want a bowl that was sitting for 30 minutes already and gone to someone else's house and back. They gave me attitude. Had me wait a few minutes and gave me my food. I have been going to yoshis since around 2000. Their prices have always been fair and gave you a solid amount of food. The bowl in the picture is now 8 dollars after tax.
