Ordered the beef teriyaki bowl for takeout and was disappointed to find the meat is mostly blubber which is too bad since the few pieces I was able to pick out and eat were so good. It was hard to get over the disgust I felt taking the wiggly pieces of fat out though. read more

My first time going here, and I will not be back. The restaurant was not busy, and I ordered a chicken bowl but ended up with beef in my bowl. I do not eat beef and haven't since 1994. This is clearly a case of cross-contamination if the chicken and beef are being served with the same spoon. The carrots were barely steamed, and I ordered brown rice but received a mix of white and brown rice instead. I was especially upset that I didn't notice the beef until I got all the way home (20 Mins later) and sat down to eat my meal. Just never again. Very disappointing experience. read more

Has anyone noticed or is it just me when Yogi's grill first open they started off using thicker sirloin steak meat for the teriyaki beef bowls but now it is reduced to super thin carne asada meat? I thought it was just one of their location but apparently all of their locations are serving the very thin carne asada style meat for their beef bowls, for a while now. I hope they go back to the original way they made the beef bowls with real nice sized sirloin steak and not thin carne asada meat which is good if you're having a burrito , the teriyaki beef bowl would be sliced in a row now similar to how the chicken is advertised but nowit just looks like pieces and meat all over the rice It's not sliced in a row because it's so thin. Please go back to the original way you used to make it with the thicker sirloin steak this meat is obviously different if you know how the company used to make it when they started here in Arizona I can't forget because it was one of my favorite places I would go, But I stopped going for years because of this and decided to give it a shot again and nothing has changed It's still very very thin meat. read more

I was out furniture shopping and had wanted to try Yogi's Grill. There's one in my neighborhood, but it's not open on Sundays. This Yogi's is in a plaza with a variety of stores including Target, Starbucks, a couple furniture stores, a big & tall men's store and Duck & Decanter. I should have gone to Duck & Decanter. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Bowl and my friend had the Beef & Chicken Bowl. Both were just okay. The Spicy Tuna Bowl comes with rice, avocado and of course spicy tuna. I was expecting pieces of tuna like sushi, but it wasn't. It was more like a spicy tuna mush. Not very appealing. If you're in a hurry and have a taste for this type of food it's okay, but nothing special at all. read more

Food is not too bad for the price, but the service. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE SERVICE. I've never actually been inside a Yogi's Grill, normally I just order online but my goodness it is a damn hassle every. single. time. The last four times I have tried to order from this location specifically whether it be on their website or through a food delivery service, my order is always immediately canceled after I am forced to schedule a time for pick up or delivery. Right when that clock hits 11am and the restaurant opens, I get a notification that my order has been accepted (woohoo, exciting!) only to be met with another notification 10 minutes later that my order is canceled. Today I called the restaurant, not sure who I talked to, but his words exactly were "Oh yeah we've been having problems with Uber Eats recently so we cancel those orders when they come in," umm.. maybe don't advertise that customers can order from your restaurant if you're having "problems" with a food delivery service only to cancel their order with no explanation. So yeah, I've given this restaurant and this location the benefit of the doubt as many times as I could but probably won't be coming back after this.. read more

The food is generally pretty tasty; I prefer the steamed vegs and salmon. Noting; I run without the sauce, so you need to add jalapenos and avocado for flavor if you're going to pass on the sauce. This shop is generally pretty quick and the employees are typically friendly. Noting, my guess is that turnover is high since they appear confused at times and I've had a couple orders that were just flat-out wrong. I never said anything when the orders were wrong; and I'd bet they sent my item off on a "To Go". No big deal in that the item(s) I've wound up with have always been fine stand-ins. End point being the food's pretty solid here and the prices are good. Service is friendly; but sometimes misses the mark re: just not the item you ordered. Not that big a deal. Suggestion; ask for half or no sauce. If I forget; there's usually a bit more sauce than I prefer. Somewhat of a follow-up here a few days later after another visit. I had the shrimp with yakisoba; and it came with a small side of rice. Perfect since otherwise I'd have OD's on the yakisoba. Added avocado and threw on some jalapenos and onion. Excellent, just excellent, as well as very filling. The young lady behind the counter is most likely new; but she was very friendly and outgoing. I tell you; this is almost enough to increase the rating to 5 stars, but just not quite re: sometimes the orders get mixed up. I'd say it's a 4.4, so I've gotta round down to a 4. read more

Looking for something quick that wasn't McDonald or Chik fil A we tried Yogis. We ordered two chicken teriyaki rice bowls and one chicken and beef bowl. The chicken was good but I didn't really care for the beef. What I did like about this place is they have large bottles or both their teriyaki and their spicy teriyaki sauce so you can add more. Be warned when ordering the large bowl it is a lot of food. I took home a whole meal there was so much food. They have a decent selection of rice bowls, noodle bowls, and sushi so there is something for everyone. They also have a couple neat Japanese sodas we bought a grape soda to try that was pretty go down and some Hi Chew candy for later. read more
