Came here as a pescatarian with my omnivore friends. I got the quesobirria, my partner got the fish tacos, and my friend got the surf and turf burrito. Firstly, the staff was incredibly friendly. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and even brought our food out to us. As for the atmosphere, it's fine. Nothing too fancy, but it's clean and that's all that matters to me when I'm trying to get lunch. The food came out fast and overall, the favorite among my whole group was that the quesobirria tacos were the best. They were incredibly flavorful and the birria was very warm and comforting. I understand some people here on yelp had some feelings about the texture, but as a very texture-sensitive person, I was unbothered by the feel of the "meat". If you've ever had jackfruit meat before, you will be used to the texture. For the fish tacos, my partner said texture wise, it was very appealing. Pickled onions and cabbage were a good compliment to the battered cauliflower. Easy and light. My partner was very happy with his choice. I'm so glad Tacos Veganos is in our neck of the woods. It is definitely a unicorn in the midst of too many chicken places here in the West Valley. My son is a hard sell on vegan food. I'm a frequent diner at the Phoenix location, but have the new spot a try when I was out west for an afternoon. It was equally delicious. I had the burrito with Al pastor. My family and I have been following Tacos Veganos Pop up and food truck days! We have always enjoyed their offerings in our car, in the brewery they used to park next to or a vegan social event! So I guess we jumped on the bandwagon pretty early. We are very thankful for their success! If they are thriving, we now Tacos Veganos will be open when I fave the itch! We were so happy when they opened on the west side, better yet just down the street from our home! Don't get me wrong, we drove many times to East Indian School location. This TV local ion is nestled in the perfect spot of the Fry's strip mall. You do not have to deal with Fry's traffic or Walmart madness on the south side of the strip mall. The restaurant itself has tons of seating. In our many visits, the dining area is always clean! You will see the same smiling faces at the counter which they always make you feel welcomed. As far as the food, I am a fan! You will see many for food pics from the other location. I will make it a point to start taking more pics for the Avondale store! Was looking for vegan food options in the area and decided to try this spot out! I have been looking for vegan Mexican food for a while but forgot about it until I researched and found this place. Husband and I walked in and it wasn't as packed but we ordered birria tacos with consume, Al Pastor fries, horchata & Jamaica. I tried this place 3 times within this past week so this review will hopefully be helpful to those who are curious about this spot. The birria tacos had really good flavor. My husband who isn't vegan was willing to try this place and the birria tacos. He didn't like the texture but liked the consume. I did like the flavor of the birria, just the shell I wasn't much of a fan of or the texture I prefer more of a softer shell. I personally didn't like the fries, it was very heavy but it did have a lot of flavor which was nice. The topping on the fries made them soggy and just was a bit too much for me. Overall I wouldn't get the birria tacos or fries again. I also forgot to mention the birria ramen, it was a bit heavy and the noodles absorbed the juice for the soup. It honestly made me nauseous after eating it and the flavors were too heavy for me. Personally wouldn't order that again. But what changed my mind about this place is the carne asada tacos!!! Those were spot on with texture and flavor of an authentic carne asada taco. My husband thought it was really good and enjoyed them to. I went on taco Tuesday and got 5 of them! With a side of rice and beans. Sooo good! The rice and beans were spot on and really good. I honestly would give it 10/10. I had ordered the tacos twice, the day before they were well seasoned and taco Tuesday were more salty than the day before. The Hibiscus tea (jaimaca) is good but I prefer the Horchata the most. The flavor of the Horchata is so good! Not to bland and not to sweet. Spot on! Overall this place is nice and the ladies who helped me were nice and helpful. Went here to experience Location #2...as #1 is Amazing! First of all, you guessed it, they're ALL VEGAN! Plenty of parking here, including shaded on the side. Signage is clear. Menus are easy to read. No lack of tables in here. Order, Pay, & Pick Up at the counter. Portions are normal, flavor is amazing, prices are about $10-15/pp. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the lady at the counter (didn't catch her name) was a little brash when I asked for the Quesabirria Tacos; she corrected my pronunciation hastily. I didn't feel 100% confident when I said it, but I tried my best. I admittedly felt a little embarrassed after that, but enjoyed our food. Overall, incredible food, happy stomach. So happy to see this on the west side. The food is fire and many gluten free options as well. I ordered birria taco, pastor taco and birria fries. It was a ton of food I couldn't finish but really wanted to try the different flavors. The carne asada is not gluten free but the other protein options are. The service was efficient and friendly. The hostess offered some personal recommendations that were spot on. They had ceviche the day I went and it was so delicious. They also have daily specials and a variety of drinks as well. My boyfriend and I came here on Friday this past week on the 23rd. We were stopping here on the way to Sedona from California and we were looking for a vegan spot because there's not many vegan spots in Arizona or in Sedona or Phoenix. This place was one of the two places that we stopped by one was Goji Berry and the other one was this place now this place was amazing compared to Goji berry and blue Goji berry completely out of the water because that place had horrible customer service and the food was bland and they were not very nice over there and the lines were crazy long for very mediocre food and service this place on the other hand was excellent. The workers were extremely nice and helpful. The food was absolutely divine!!!!! my boyfriend could not stop talking about it when we're on the way to Sedona and I was also thinking about it nonstop and unfortunately, we try to go back on Sunday after our trip and it was closed so at least we have this place in mine and I'm so glad I tried to buy a bunch of stuff from them when we first went, but I definitely wanna bring much more money and get more stuff while we're there. This place is amazing stuff. Stop by with your friends whether you're vegan or not, but honestly it is so delicious everything on the menu was amazing that we ordered the drinks were good.
