Okay but WHY are these vegan tacos actually this good?! Tacos Veganos totally delivers -- flavorful, messy-in-the-best-way street tacos, legit portions, and prices that don't hurt your feelings. Casual spot, no frills, just solid plant-based comfort food that hits. Already planning my next taco run.

First time at their new location. We have followed Tacos Veganos since they first started as a taco truck. They make great authentic vegan Mexican favorites. Service was great and the location is perfect. Not to big, clean and fresh inside. Food is always on point. Now that we live over here on the west side and always looking for more places to try. It's great knowing Tacos Veganos is a wonderful option.

I love Tacos Veganos!!! Some of the best food I've ever eaten, hands down! Their food is delicious, fresh and made to order, their salsas hit on all levels, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. This place needs to be on everyone's radar!!!

Nice restaurant I had no idea existed! If you're near McDowell and Dysart check it out. The service was quick and friendly. The tacos had good flavor. I tried the Cauli Baja taco, it was large and delicious with the pickles onions on top. I also tried the Birria taco, it had good flavor but was very small. Overall good food and a good restaurant, I will return.

This was my first time coming after hearing about it almost a year or more ago. I happened to be on that side of town so we stopped by. I ordered tacos de papa and one quesabirria taco. It was so good! My non vegan partner had carne asada sopes and was skeptical but ended up really liking it. Both of my kids enjoyed the food too. Service was good. And the restaurant was clean. I'd definitely eat here again.

My family and I have been following Tacos Veganos Pop up and food truck days! We have always enjoyed their offerings in our car, in the brewery they used to park next to or a vegan social event! So I guess we jumped on the bandwagon pretty early. We are very thankful for their success! If they are thriving, we now Tacos Veganos will be open when I fave the itch! We were so happy when they opened on the west side, better yet just down the street from our home! Don't get me wrong, we drove many times to East Indian School location. This TV local ion is nestled in the perfect spot of the Fry's strip mall. You do not have to deal with Fry's traffic or Walmart madness on the south side of the strip mall. The restaurant itself has tons of seating. In our many visits, the dining area is always clean! You will see the same smiling faces at the counter which they always make you feel welcomed. As far as the food, I am a fan! You will see many for food pics from the other location. I will make it a point to start taking more pics for the Avondale store! Bring back the tamales ASAP!!! :-)

Food was amazing, fresh, and delicious. I really thought I was eating meat. The service was great and the staff provided great recommendations. The ambiance was good. I have no complaints and can't wait to return and try more options. See my photos below.

Was looking for vegan food options in the area and decided to try this spot out! I have been looking for vegan Mexican food for a while but forgot about it until I researched and found this place. Husband and I walked in and it wasn't as packed but we ordered birria tacos with consume, Al Pastor fries, horchata & Jamaica. I tried this place 3 times within this past week so this review will hopefully be helpful to those who are curious about this spot. The birria tacos had really good flavor. My husband who isn't vegan was willing to try this place and the birria tacos. He didn't like the texture but liked the consume. I did like the flavor of the birria, just the shell I wasn't much of a fan of or the texture I prefer more of a softer shell. I personally didn't like the fries, it was very heavy but it did have a lot of flavor which was nice. The topping on the fries made them soggy and just was a bit too much for me. Overall I wouldn't get the birria tacos or fries again. I also forgot to mention the birria ramen, it was a bit heavy and the noodles absorbed the juice for the soup. It honestly made me nauseous after eating it and the flavors were too heavy for me. Personally wouldn't order that again. But what changed my mind about this place is the carne asada tacos!!! Those were spot on with texture and flavor of an authentic carne asada taco. My husband thought it was really good and enjoyed them to. I went on taco Tuesday and got 5 of them! With a side of rice and beans. Sooo good! The rice and beans were spot on and really good. I honestly would give it 10/10. I had ordered the tacos twice, the day before they were well seasoned and taco Tuesday were more salty than the day before. The Hibiscus tea (jaimaca) is good but I prefer the Horchata the most. The flavor of the Horchata is so good! Not to bland and not to sweet. Spot on! Overall this place is nice and the ladies who helped me were nice and helpful. Food came out fast and pleased with what I ordered after my first trip here. Plenty of parking and clean building. Will be back again.

She recommended a fantastic vegan spot called Tacos Veganos; and it blow us away. Yes, everything is VEGAN, including the meats! We ordered three different meat tacos: pork, chicken, and beef. I opted for the taco de papo, which was an incredibly delicious combination of potatoes, cabbage, and a sauce made from cashews. It was deep-fried, which added a unique texture to the dish. The chicken taco was my favorite. It was fantastic once I dipped it into the red magic compote. The beef taco had an aftertaste, but that's just a personal preference. Ana, who's a native of Mexico, said the same thing about the tacos. I was skeptical at first, but she was right. These tacos are so good that sometimes the substitute is better than the real thing. I highly recommend trying these tacos at least once. You'll be amazed at how good they are. I'll definitely be back real soon!

I was glad we got there when we did because shortly after we put our order in there was a line almost to the door. It is counter service so you kind of need to know what you are getting and everything looks so yummy it was super hard to decide. I got the AZ burrito with birria, which is made with jackfruit. It's meant to be like pulled pork. It was huge and very messy. They tortilla was very rubbery but the filling was good and I think there were French fries in there? Maybe that is what makes it an AZ burrito? Overall the flavor was good but it needed something else like beans or guac. It just tasted very one note. Also I got the horchata. It was delicious. My mom got the surf and turf taco. Again the tortilla was tough to eat so she got a fork and a plate and tore into it. This one had the "asada" soy steak and then breaded and fried pieces of cauliflower. The fake meat was not that good. It was too salty and so was the rice. The cauliflower although tasty was so big it was hard to eat. Overall it was good but not as amazing as I had wanted it to be. I likely won't go out of my way to come back.

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.

When we got our food, the wraps were TINY- we both requested "no tomatoes" (how I normally order), but the wraps came out like half the size. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. I cannot justify paying as much money as I did for such a tiny wrap. I saved half and took a picture. In hindsight, I should've taken a photo of the tiny portion on the tray. It looked like a pressed egg roll. Food: delicious BUT OVERPRICED FOR THE TINY PORTION. Service: always friendly, but really guys? This wrap is embarrassing. Ambiance: chill. This must've been what I paid for- cuz the food was a child's portion. Conclusion: thank goodness I ordered some of everything- otherwise, we'd still be hungry. My friends enjoyed the flavors but were not impressed with the size of their wrap. Especially because they ripped off some of the extra wrap, which made it smaller. Doubt I'll be back unless they fix their portions. For real, I feel ripped off. Updated: decreasing from 5 stars to 2.
