My friend was visiting from the Midwest and she is a vegan. Though my family and I are not we have wanted to try this place out and let's just say we were not disappointed. The food was delicious. The vegan sushi roll was my favorite. The buffalo cauliflower was also pretty tasty. My husbands " chicken " sandwich was very flavorful and how can you go wrong with fries. My friend got the " chicken fried steak " and it looked really good. I ordered the macaroni and " cheese " with edamame and it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. It was the only thing we didn't like. The service was good and friendly. The restaurant had live music and he was a very nice addition to our evening. My good friend was in town and she had really been wanting to try this spot. We went in a Friday evening around 7pm and it was fairly crowded!! We didn't have to wait for a table, but last time I was here in the middle of the week and it was pretty dead, so I was glad to see lots of people enjoying vegan food! The waitress gave us two menus -- one was the regular and I was very excited to see a sushi menu. I love unique vegan sushi and it did not disappoint!! The mango avocado roll caught my eye right away -- so we ordered that roll, the buffalo cauliflower and the cheesy garlic bread -- my friend really wanted the cheese garlic bread because she can never eat anything like this in another restaurant because of her dairy allergy. We also ordered a bottle of sav blanc -- it was good but maybe a little cheap, I had a headache the next day...who knows if it was the wine? Anyway, we ordered two other rolls the asparagus crunch roll and the philly roll. The asparagus roll was amazing!! The philly roll was kind of eh -- it was good but just not very flavorful. Since it was busy in there it was kind of slow for each item to come out but I was catching up with friends so I wasn't too bothered. My first time eating at a vegan restaurant and I was really impressed. I'm trying to reduce how much meat I eat and places like this will make that easy! My portobello burger was delicious, and it didn't make me feel heavy like burgers sometimes do. The sweet & sour cauliflower is delicious and tastes just like orange chicken, except light and crunchy. My girlfriend also enjoyed the edamame. Wow! So happy to find this establishment. Because of dietary restrictions, Janelle took great care and made everything gluten free. Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night around 6pm and it was pretty empty. Our waiter was really friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. I ordered the buffalo chicken tofu sandwhich, and it was really good! I'd order it again. It was spicy, though! We got to sit right next to the window which was a nice view. I'm not sure if I liked the vibe of the restaurant, though. There was plenty of inside seating and a parking lot, but something about the inside of the restaraunt felt... off. The service was good, 2 servers for a Saturday evening but the place isn't that big. We ordered several smaller items; mango habanero cauliflower, Cesar salad, and a crunchy tofu roll. We were warned that the mango habanero cauliflower was really "spicy", but ended up tasting like sweet chili. Not an ounce of heat. The breading looked tasty, but the cauliflower underneath was next to raw. The menu mentioned the dish was served with carrots/celery, I wasn't not expecting them to be shaved pieces as a garnish. The cesar salad was fresh but missing flavor for sure. The crunchy tofu roll was really good. Pricing was expensive given the portion sizes. There are definitely better spots in the valley that have either all vegan or a vegan menu. read more

Such a disappointing experience. We placed a group order via uber eats after finding them on a vegan blog. I was really looking forward to their vegan chilaquiles. It was an immediate disappointment when I opened the box and found it was DIY. I understand they can get soggy in transport, but sautéed chips in salsa make the chilaquiles. Well expecting these to resemble any type of chilaquiles was my first mistake when you see all that this place serves, it's not a Mexican joint. The sauce lacked any type of flavor as did the tofu scramble and it only had about five beans in it. The sour cream was more like a mayo. The biscuits and gravy looked like a joke. We come here at least twice a month and it's always great. The servers are nice and the chef is really good and he often pops out to visit tables on quieter evenings. I love the buffalo sandwich and my husband almost always gets the supreme flatbread. Vegan and Vine is my new favorite Vegan joint in Phoenix! As more and more Vegan brick and mortar restaurants open up and survive. It will bring diversity to the Vegan restaurant scene in Phoenix! My hope is that we will have plenty to choose from and that competition raises all their games up! V & V has tons of seating, plenty of parking being neighbors of the Safeway strip mall and a really decent list of items on their menu. I can't speak to the alcohol situation, but they do offer it.
