Postino Central is a popular wine cafe located in the Windsor Square Historic District in Phoenix and Postino has multiple locations in Arizona, California (Irvine and San Diego), Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The building this cafe is sitting at used to be home to a famous Jewish delicatessen Katz's Deli. [Parking]: It was difficult to find available parking on Sunday night and the small designated rear parking lot was completely packed. Luckily, one of the local streets (W Medlock Dr near JINYA Ramen Bar) allows free street parking on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. [Atmosphere]: The wine bar was bustling with a crowd and I can see this as one of those places for a romantic date, a girls' night out, or hanging out with friends. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items include Smoked Salmon (the Boards) and the Nine Iron Panini. Customers can also build their own bruschetta board by choosing four options with Yelp highlighted items including Warm Artichoke Spread, Brie & Apple Fig Spread, Burrata Bacon + Arugula & Tomato, and Prosciutto di Parma + Fig & Mascarpone. For paninis, customers have the option to select two - any half panini, half salad, or half soup. Paninis come with either ciabatta or focaccia. *** Smoked Salmon (cold and hot smoked salmon, whipped feta, cucumber, pickled onion, cornichons, crispy capers, baby caesar, crostini - $17): A very refreshing board and I liked the overall flavor profile. Nine Iron (smoked bacon, roasted chicken, fresh stracciatella, mixed greens, tomato, dijonnaise - focaccia $15.75): Crispy focaccia bread and overall an excellent savory sandwich. *** This is Los Angeles-quality food in Phoenix. A solid 4.5-star on food and bump up to 5-star due to the great atmosphere. P.S. - The restaurant allows customers to split the bill.

I love Postinos, and it seems like they are popping up all over the PHX valley! This location is a bit smaller, and the parking lot is small, so if you come at prime time you may have some trouble parking. There were some spots available around 445pm on a weekday. Indoor/outdoor seating is available as well as some bar area seating. They have happy hour drink specials until 5pm on weekdays. The ambiance is intimate and dark, I also love the back wall mural of tin lunch boxes. You can also purchase wine bottles here and they offer a wine club deal too! The service was good, I believe it's a team effort so multiple people helped us out. I decided to order the select two and choose the half salad/ panini deal with the WEST COASTER on focaccia bread and GREEN GARDEN CHICKEN CHOP. Both items were delicious! I would definitely order them both again.

If Postino has no fans, I'm dead. I love Postino. I think that the bruschetta boards are just perfect there and I love that. They still have reasonably priced wine and beer if you go before 5 o'clock, it is only six dollars. They also have delicious fresh salads, and some really tasty sandwiches. Service is always friendly in there, and I love sitting at the bar, especially

They catered for my workplace and it did Not disappoint. They can't control the ambiance obviously for food they cater, but they certainly controlled the quality. The service was prompt; some caterers are late. They were not!

We went here for the first time and it was well worth it! We sat in the patio and just loved the ambiance! The service was spectacular and the food was amazing! I would recommend the bruschetta, to die for! We can't wait to go back!

Always a vibe. We came for their bottle and board night Our waiter Alan was very attentive and checked in regularly, music fits well with the ambience, love the dim lighting. Definitely a must.

I have always loved Postino (all locations) my instinct of sticking to the delicious bruschetta boards......well I should have followed that instinct ! Ambiance is always comforting chic, service is very good and our server was very knowledgeable. I decided on the Tuscan tuna panini that I guess I expected to be warm as it had cheese on it but it wasn't (no big deal) I just always associate panini's to be hot or at the very least warm since they are by nature pressed. The tuna had enormous chunks in it but had a tang that I don't care for at all. It may have been the Dijon and mayo mix but I doubt it I like both of those. Another friend had the chicken and mozzarella panini and she said it was just "okay" my partner had the prosciutto and Brie panini and he liked it (I order it without the fig jam) but he likes figs. Homemade chips were thick and tasty! Iced tea had great flavor!

I recently visited this location with two friends and one of their small children. It was a Friday around noon and the place was packed! Our wait was not bad and our table was ready quicker than projected. Pros- the food was good and served hot, the selection of bruschetta was great for my meat eating friend and the vegetarian, drinks came out quickly, there was a chair for the little guy, servers were knowledgeable, and super kind! Cons- the Bloody Mary had a sweet flavor so I would skip this in the future, parking was a mess Overall- I'd return! The pros definitely outweighed the cons and I love the atmosphere and food and drink options!

I met my friend here for our girls dinner. I've not been here so was excited to try it. The atmosphere was chill and had a good vibe. They had a nice cocktail menu with some craft beers. I ordered a bowl for dinner and my friend had the chicken and mozzarella Panini. Both were, good. For some reason, I was hoping that they had pizza but everything else tasted great. This would be a first type of restaurant.

Postino's is known for their bruschetta boards and while you can't go wrong with them, I decided to try something different tonight! I got the pream bowl with steak and it was a bit cold but otherwise good. Since I got there right before 5pm, I had a glass of Tempranillo wine for $6 during their happy hour. Our waiter was very personable. The interior is cute and cozy. Parking definitely fills up around here but there is a small lot I sometimes can snag a space in.

We had another excellent experience at Postino Central! It's definitely my favorite of the locations I've been to: it's spacious, open, and the staff are so friendly. We came in on a Saturday early evening and were seated immediately. We ordered two mocktails: the mockingbird and the glow up. We both preferred the glow up: it was the perfect refreshing summer drink we were looking for! The mockingbird was good as well, but to us was more of a fall vibe! We ordered some sweet potato wedges to start. They took about 15 min to come out (which is not bad at all, we were not concerned whatsoever), but the staff was super apologetic that they came out after our bruschetta board. Everything we had tasted so fresh! We'll definitely be back at this location, even though there are multiple locations closer to our home.

Bruschetta board cleaned out! So delicious!

Decided to hit up postino with a couple of friends for a late lunch! We requested a booth and got a nice private booth towards the back but the lighting was non existent there so it felt a little bit like a dungeon and it was so warm! I think a bit more lighting in that back area would have given this the 5 stars. However, the staff was amazing, it was about time to switch out staff is what we were told and they didn't skip a beat. My friends got a panini each and I did the bruschetta board and it did not disappoint. They also have $6 beer pitches and $6 glasses of wine which was amazing! Definitely a spot to go to for a nice light lunch and some drinks! We will probably make this our new spot since joyride removed all their tacos from their happy hour! Postino is now our new happy hour spot! Great service and absolutely delicious food!

Missing their Guac & Chips Starter that was on former menu tho. We gotta commend the F&B Manager here! He overheard us talking to the waiter about the differences in the Charred Beet Salads & told us why: one was on the grill too long & he only knew that b/c he was in the kitchen watching them make it. He appreciated us sharing about the nuanced difference in how salads tasted & comped one. Wow - this is really going above & beyond: caring enough to have a convo w/ diners, acknowledging their palates detecting the difference AND making it right, b/c as he said "both should taste the same, like the second one." The soothing decor and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal, especially on an unseasonably hot day. We began our culinary journey with the Larb Mushroom appetizer, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured succulent oyster mushrooms tossed with roasted rice powder, fresh mint, shallots, cilantro, and a vibrant chili-lime dressing. Each bite was a refreshing explosion of flavors, combining the earthy richness of the mushrooms with the zesty brightness of the dressing. It was light, refreshing, and a perfect precursor to the meal ahead. For her main dish, my wife chose the Pad Z U, an outstanding selection that showcased sautéed broad noodles, crispy fried tofu, and Chinese broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable sweet soy sauce. The noodles were soft and chewy, creating a delightful texture that harmonized beautifully with the vegetable medley and tofu. The heat in the dish was skillfully balanced, providing just enough kick without overwhelming the palate. My wife couldn't stop raving about it! I opted for the Kua Kling, and it truly was a star of the evening. This spicy stir-fried minced chicken was enriched with fragrant curry paste, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, resulting in an aromatic dish that was accompanied by tender long string beans and the unique Sadtor beans. The flavor profile was complex and enticing, with each ingredient complementing the others in a delightful dance of spice and freshness. It was a dish that not only warmed my belly but also left me craving more. What elevated our experience even further was the attentiveness of our server. With a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor, they offered excellent recommendations and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu added to our enjoyment, making the dining experience even more memorable. Overall, LeDu Thai is a culinary treasure that I cannot recommend highly enough. Each dish was exceptional, bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Thai dining experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of what their menu has to offer!

We arrived without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 25 minutes, which was totally reasonable. We waited the full time and checked in once, only to find the wait continuing to extend while several outdoor tables sat open. When we politely asked about our table, the host (a woman with glasses) responded with a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude. At one point, she muttered under her breath something along the lines of, "If you guys are so anxious... you can head over there," which multiple people in our group heard. It felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were eventually seated at a table that was partially in direct sun, and when we asked about moving to one of the shaded tables, we were told they were unavailable and "reserved". However, those tables remained empty for over 30 minutes, which was frustrating given the situation. To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.
