    Bruschetta Board
    Ai T.

This is one of my favorite postino's locations whenever I'm in the area. The food always consistently tasted great! The staff is always friendly and welcoming. My favorite drink is forever the Honey Cucumber lemonade. So refreshing and is the perfect drink for Arizona weather. I always do the bruschetta board. Honestly the main reason I keep coming back to postino is because of their Bruschetta board. All the other food on the menu taste great but you can find in other restaurants. But the Board is what sets Postino apart from the others. My favorite is the burrata & tomato. The tomato is just tasted amazing, the seasoning and the juice that the tomatoes marinated in is just soo good! Then topped off with a little bit of crunch from the bacon. Next is the prosciutto and fig. The prosciutto is always consistent with the high quality meat, has a slight salty and savory taste and complimented by the light sweetness from the fig and creaminess from mascarpone. Last is the Brie and apple. I always love this one because it's the perfect slice to end the meal like a dessert. The apple is crisp and refreshing, with the creaminess from the Brie. This location has plenty of seating at the bar, inside and outside.

What an excellent location. As someone who gets overstimulated pretty easily, this restaurant is perfect because the lights aren't very bright and it's pretty low-sensory. The food was delicious and I will always recommend the charcuterie boards and a bottle of wine at an average price of around $25. The service was quick and the waiter made excellent recommendations based on our taste buds.

Postino Central is a popular wine cafe located in the Windsor Square Historic District in Phoenix and Postino has multiple locations in Arizona, California (Irvine and San Diego), Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. The building this cafe is sitting at used to be home to a famous Jewish delicatessen Katz's Deli. [Parking]: It was difficult to find available parking on Sunday night and the small designated rear parking lot was completely packed. Luckily, one of the local streets (W Medlock Dr near JINYA Ramen Bar) allows free street parking on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. [Atmosphere]: The wine bar was bustling with a crowd and I can see this as one of those places for a romantic date, a girls' night out, or hanging out with friends. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items include Smoked Salmon (the Boards) and the Nine Iron Panini. Customers can also build their own bruschetta board by choosing four options with Yelp highlighted items including Warm Artichoke Spread, Brie & Apple Fig Spread, Burrata Bacon + Arugula & Tomato, and Prosciutto di Parma + Fig & Mascarpone. For paninis, customers have the option to select two - any half panini, half salad, or half soup. Paninis come with either ciabatta or focaccia. *** Smoked Salmon (cold and hot smoked salmon, whipped feta, cucumber, pickled onion, cornichons, crispy capers, baby caesar, crostini - $17): A very refreshing board and I liked the overall flavor profile. Nine Iron (smoked bacon, roasted chicken, fresh stracciatella, mixed greens, tomato, dijonnaise - focaccia $15.75): Crispy focaccia bread and overall an excellent savory sandwich. *** This is Los Angeles-quality food in Phoenix. A solid 4.5-star on food and bump up to 5-star due to the great atmosphere. P.S. - The restaurant allows customers to split the bill.

Postinos will always have my heart. Went on a Saturday evening and right away found street parking. This never happens so it already started off a good night. We snagged seats at the bar which was nice , no waiting. We had a great bartender who had our drinks out and we ordered some food. I had the bruschetta board which was delicious. The SMOKED SALMON IS FIRE. You have to try it when you come. It's the absolute favorite and I always have to get it. The cider was really good also. No complaints just full stomachs and smiles .

I love Postinos, and it seems like they are popping up all over the PHX valley! This location is a bit smaller, and the parking lot is small, so if you come at prime time you may have some trouble parking. There were some spots available around 445pm on a weekday. Indoor/outdoor seating is available as well as some bar area seating. They have happy hour drink specials until 5pm on weekdays. The ambiance is intimate and dark, I also love the back wall mural of tin lunch boxes. You can also purchase wine bottles here and they offer a wine club deal too! The service was good, I believe it's a team effort so multiple people helped us out. I decided to order the select two and choose the half salad/ panini deal with the WEST COASTER on focaccia bread and GREEN GARDEN CHICKEN CHOP. Both items were delicious! I would definitely order them both again.

If Postino has no fans, I'm dead. I love Postino. I think that the bruschetta boards are just perfect there and I love that. They still have reasonably priced wine and beer if you go before 5 o'clock, it is only six dollars. They also have delicious fresh salads, and some really tasty sandwiches. Service is always friendly in there, and I love sitting at the bar, especially

They catered for my workplace and it did Not disappoint. They can't control the ambiance obviously for food they cater, but they certainly controlled the quality. The service was prompt; some caterers are late. They were not!

Always a vibe. We came for their bottle and board night Our waiter Alan was very attentive and checked in regularly, music fits well with the ambience, love the dim lighting. Definitely a must.

I recently visited this location with two friends and one of their small children. It was a Friday around noon and the place was packed! Our wait was not bad and our table was ready quicker than projected. Pros- the food was good and served hot, the selection of bruschetta was great for my meat eating friend and the vegetarian, drinks came out quickly, there was a chair for the little guy, servers were knowledgeable, and super kind! Cons- the Bloody Mary had a sweet flavor so I would skip this in the future, parking was a mess Overall- I'd return! The pros definitely outweighed the cons and I love the atmosphere and food and drink options!

The second one tasted "clean" or like it was supposed to taste. The Burger & Fish Tacos were full of flavor & freshness! I loved their fries b/c crispy on outside & soft on the outside. Missing their Guac & Chips Starter that was on former menu tho. We gotta commend the F&B Manager here! He overheard us talking to the waiter about the differences in the Charred Beet Salads & told us why: one was on the grill too long & he only knew that b/c he was in the kitchen watching them make it. He appreciated us sharing about the nuanced difference in how salads tasted & comped one. Wow - this is really going above & beyond: caring enough to have a convo w/ diners, acknowledging their palates detecting the difference AND making it right, b/c as he said "both should taste the same, like the second one." A commitment to excellence and consistency is a rarity. Overall, Lylo Swim Club outdoor bar/restaurant is a little oasis tucked away amongst so much greenery and beauty! Yes they have the pool nearby, but we didn't take a dip. Something to look forward to! P.S. Can the tile pattern on the bar be any more gorgeous?!

Just keep an eye on how much you're spending! There's a lot of spots for improvement here, but I'd also say that Lylo is one of the few businesses I've ever seen do such a visually-great escape out from their pool area. If you're here for the escape and temper your expectations for food or drink, I think you'd have a good time. There are a TON of mosquitos here, so prepare accordingly. The bar and hotel lobby didn't have bug spray nor any for sale. The nearby liquor store does have some for sale at less than a block's walk. (The pool is hot mid Phoenix summer. The pool itself felt closer to a hot tub than a refreshingly cold pool. I'm told this is normal for pools in Arizona in the summer.) PROS: -All of the drinks are really pretty, visually, and with the pool, you have a great mecca for social media photos. -Despite the ridiculous 110+ Phoenix heat, we were relatively comfortable in the shaded restaurant area with the misters. We could still see the pool, but we weren't baking alive. -Pool bathrooms were clean enough. There were lots of puddles and toilet paper on the ground, but nothing was horrific or moldy like some pool bathrooms can be. Spacious stalls for changing too - though I didn't see any shower or changing areas. -The pool area itself is pretty! It makes for gorgeous Instagram photos, and Lylo knows that. There are lots of little spots (a camp sign, a chair off on its own, all the loungers, etc.) that make cute photo backdrops in addition to the pool itself. -There is a collection of inflatable pool toys in the corner that seem to be open for guest use. CONS: -Water bottles are not allowed at all - not even sealed disposable plastic ones from the grocery store. They'll store them for you, and you can fetch your own water with disposable plastic cups while you're here. -The misters in the pool area were broken. With the heat, we chose not to actually use the pool, and instead stayed in the restaurant, shaded area with misters. -All of the on-menu drinks are pretty sweet and not super boozy (at their price points). It's easy to go through quite a few at their higher price. Make sure that you're spending intentionally. -We weren't in love with the food we ordered. It felt like frozen food reheated and served to us. To be fair, that's about to be expected from a pool bar, but it was still something to note at the prices and with nearby restaurants walkable. -Service is there. I wouldn't say it was friendly or welcoming, but the servers checked in often in-between talking to people in swimsuits or joking with friends. I rarely waited for anything, but I didn't feel like a valued guest. -The fabric of the chaise loungers and lounge beds are stained. I saw some employees hauling off some of them and shoving them into the back of a fabric cleaning van, so I'd assume they rotate in and out and have to deal with a ton of spilled drinks.

The soothing decor and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal, especially on an unseasonably hot day. We began our culinary journey with the Larb Mushroom appetizer, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured succulent oyster mushrooms tossed with roasted rice powder, fresh mint, shallots, cilantro, and a vibrant chili-lime dressing. Each bite was a refreshing explosion of flavors, combining the earthy richness of the mushrooms with the zesty brightness of the dressing. It was light, refreshing, and a perfect precursor to the meal ahead. For her main dish, my wife chose the Pad Z U, an outstanding selection that showcased sautéed broad noodles, crispy fried tofu, and Chinese broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable sweet soy sauce. The noodles were soft and chewy, creating a delightful texture that harmonized beautifully with the vegetable medley and tofu. The heat in the dish was skillfully balanced, providing just enough kick without overwhelming the palate. My wife couldn't stop raving about it! I opted for the Kua Kling, and it truly was a star of the evening. This spicy stir-fried minced chicken was enriched with fragrant curry paste, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, resulting in an aromatic dish that was accompanied by tender long string beans and the unique Sadtor beans. The flavor profile was complex and enticing, with each ingredient complementing the others in a delightful dance of spice and freshness. It was a dish that not only warmed my belly but also left me craving more. What elevated our experience even further was the attentiveness of our server. With a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor, they offered excellent recommendations and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu added to our enjoyment, making the dining experience even more memorable. Overall, LeDu Thai is a culinary treasure that I cannot recommend highly enough. Each dish was exceptional, bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Thai dining experience. GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

It tasted tart and like lemons. Not crunch. Soft ice. One thing though. The drinks weren't bad price. Average for tha area. The only thing is the bar tender made all of our drinks very strong. Most people think that's a good thing but honestly all I could taste was booze. I ordered a whisky sprite (7and7 spoof) and wow I could only taste whiskey. Every sip was booze booze and more booze. For the cocktails I wasn't able to taste any of the ingredients since it was so strong on the alcohol. Definitely moneys worth I guess lol. The bartender though was very nice and knowledgeable about all the drinks. Could explain all the drinks and the different types of alcohol. Not bad. Definitely would come back. Super cute for date night or a small gathering night out since space wise isn't huge.

It was fun to explore the vintage store after. It was a great way to walk off a big brunch and discover some cool pieces. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Phoenix, highly recommend Valentine. FYI: no parking lot, street parking only.

For way too long Valentine was sitting on my list of places to try. We had family visiting from…read moreCali and they know one of servers working there, so they asked if I have been, I said no but I would love to go. I always planned to go for dinner, I didn't even know they were open for brunch. Well now I do, and it was SO delicious that I would like to come back to try other menu items. The ambiance of Valentine is like being in Palm Springs at a resort enjoying brunch. It's very mid-century modern and I love the decor. They have a large outdoor patio that is probably nice when it's not summer. We sat inside and noticed there is a vintage market (Modern Manor) attached to the restaurant, we went there after eating. (A cute place with some pricey items. I'll post a separate review of the store.) Our server Pete, he was exceptional. He knows my cousins' husband and he gave us the grand tour of the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and we wanted for nothing. We started with handcrafted drinks, I really enjoyed the coffee menu options, with unique flavors. I had the iced Cajeta latte with oat milk. Cajeta is like a Mexican caramel and was very good with espresso. I also tried the chiltepin shakerato (a slight spicy mocha) and golden milk (turmeric latte). I really liked all of them. Then we had a fantastic sampler plate of pastries-- piñon croissant, morning swirl, and churro croissant roll. Baked fresh, these are really great! My fave was the morning swirl. I would come back to try the other pastries alone. Next we had the chula seafood crudo with a delicious agua chile sauce. Then onto our entrees-- avocado toast, breakfast sando, tortilla espanola, tres leche French toast, tater tots, and for good measure the Sonoran dog. I was able to try all the dishes and everything was awesome. The toast used is a thick Texas toast type of bread that is called squash brioche-- so good! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, you can tell that Valentine cares about using fresh, local, high quality/ interesting ingredients with unique flavors. I mean they add trout roe to their Sonoran dog and serve with house made allium-nori chips... how fun is that?! And mesquite-pecan butter with sorghum-sage syrup for the French toast is so rich and sweet. That's a dessert type brunch dish for sure. We had so much food, we couldn't finish so we boxed up leftovers which heated up and tasted great the next day. I fully intend to come back for the dinner menu and have cocktails at Bar 1912. I look forward to it.

They also add mushroom gravy (drools). The crispy rice added a fun and umami crunch which I looooooved and the gravy was a bit messy but worth every bite. Fantastic combo!! For my side, I ordered fried okras - amazingly done! On a Tuesday, it was a very casual ambiance, plenty of AC and great vibes. Great for any occasion!

The only dish that didn't quite meet our expectations was the corn bread, but when we told the server he was so kind about it and we were able to exchange it for a different side. The overall service was great! I made a reservation for 4 on a Saturday afternoon and got seated right away. Kyle checked up on us frequently and our food came out pretty quick too! Also, at the bar area there was a TV that played the world cup game, and afterwards baseball. I think this can be a nice lowkey place to watch a game since the vibe was chill. Keep in mind the everyday happy hour is only for the cocktails: the cocktails are $6 and we all enjoyed ours. I got a No. 22 and really liked it. If you don't drink, you can also make the cocktails to mocktails too. Before coming here, I had once been to the next door ice cream place Churn before, but this was my first time coming to Windsor, and I didn't even realize they served the Churn ice cream too for desert! My friends and I shared a triple scoop of double chocolate, sweet cream, and cookies & mint in a cup. It was a good amount of ice cream for the 4 of us, not too sweet either. This place is also advertised as dog-friendly online, which I assume was meant for the outdoor patio seating (the patio looked cute, it had misters and was covered). Overall, great place!! So glad I came here :)

I first came across Don Woods' Say When reading a Yelp article listing out the best rooftops in…read moreeach state. Don Woods was Arizona's pick. For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.

There's not many food selections and Sundays they are closed. The drinks are semi-expensive but…read moredelicious. I would try it but at the rooftop bar it's pretty warm during the summer. I say try it if you have a chance.
