Apparently Salad & Go offers Kiddie Burritos..
    Valerie S.

I don't believe there's a such thing as a kiddie salad wrap or kiddie salad on the menu, although if there were; I am sure both were given to me. This was my first time visiting this location. The staff over the intercom was kind even though clarification of communication was a miss for me; I still appreciated the fact that the gal stayed happy in her tone. That meant a lot. As for the gal who exchanged payment- she was verbally short & didn't seem to want to hear anything I had to explain that it was my first time at their location and only 2nd time visiting the Salad & Go Franchise as a whole. As I began to apologize for trying to navigate the menu because it was dirty and difficult to see on my end - she stopped me and said, "I didn't take your order"... while she quickly closed the window. I patiently waited for my order in the drive-thru. As she gave me my bag she had a very bland and "now get out of my drive-thru line demeanor".. I thanked her even though she was short with me. She basically told me there was a survey on my receipt and quickly closed the drive-thru window once more time.. Upon arriving home - I opened the bag & noticed little to no salad. I ordered a Thai Salad & a Thai Wrap. Both were inadequate and appeared missing ingredients: "The Rest of The Salad".. I don't think I have ever experienced this going to Panera, Chipotle or any other restaurant that offers salads so to see how small and sad these were, left me knowing that I will definitely will never go to Salad & Go again. If you see the salad bowl and burrito - you too would wonder if this needs a class action suit. As what I understand- This IS NOT what was advertised... Can someone say industry gouging and false advertisement? I wonder how many times this has happened to other consumers. What a tragedy.. I want a 50% refund.. Judge for yourself: See Photos.

Food was amazing as usual but...these two girls tonight have me a full cup of ice. My drink and barely like 3 sips.

Caesar chicken salad with extra chicken :)
    Colette C.

It's my first time trying this place and my boyfriend ordered us a Caesar chicken salad with extra chicken. Got the greens, creaminess from the dressing, moist delicious chicken and the perfect crunch texture - to die for!!! Ingredients tasted fresh and everything blended together in harmony. I'll come back to try different salads along with their ice coffee hehe Service was quick pace - definitely living up to "Salad and Go" lol! Ambiance is causal.

Super hard pieces of the wrap that feel off.

I use to visit about once a week, I loved being able to get tasty veggies and a great portion size back when they were only $5.75. Slowly this location has gone down hill. Half the time I get amazing food and a great portion size, other half the time somethings wrong, from very wilted lettuce, very old tortillas, or ridiculously small portion size. I get disappointed and tell myself to not go back, but then I do, hoping it will better. My last two visits have been bad ones First was a tortilla on the wrap was so brittle, like how did the worker manage to wrap that? And worse, think it was okay to serve someone? My latest order was so very thin, maybe half cup of lettuce. I really wish the consistency was better at this location.

    Breakfast Burritos
    Gabrielle D.

I ordered three burritos 8/25 : one traditional and two eggs and cheese. I got home to find these green scrambled eggs inside them. I returned to the store shortly after. The first female I spoke with said it was because of the food warmer. I simply asked for a refund for the issue. She said let me grab the manager. Then another young lady came to the window and was able to do the refund. This is gross and no apology or logical reason was given as to why this is acceptable.

They messed up my order and laughed about it in my face and didn't care to even fix it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

The decor is a bit dark, but chic & colorful. Our server, Esmerelda, was fantastic: funny, attentive, polite. There was a guy there who seemed to be the Jack of all trades. He brought us our food, I saw him behind the bar, and even bussing tables. He, too, was friendly & smiley. Cocktails: they had a great selection but we went with plain ol' Cokes. That's okay, we'll partake of their boozy drinks when we visit again. Food: parmesan truffle fries were aah-mazing. I even told Esmerelda they should add a pizza with the garlic aioli. The buffalo mozzarella had a bit of a kick to the sauce; we could have used more toasted bread to dip into it. We ordered the heaven and bianca pizzas. The crust was thinner than normal, which I was happy about, and the flavors of both were delicious. Dessert: despite not finishing the appetizers & pizza (no worries, we thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers!), we opted for a gelato flight. It was divine, and hefty samples. You wouldn't think 4 oz was much, but of gelato, it was plenty. We selected chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, and mango. If you haven't tried Roma 23, I highly recommend it. Even if you don't live close by, it is worth the drive.

When we did manage to get in, we ordered a glass of pinot noir and Pelligrino to drink. The waitress brought out a glass of white wine and insisted this was their pinot noir... even the bartender confirmed. So the staff is NOT wine savvy, I wouldn't trust their recommendations on pairings here either. They didn't have any Pelligrino left, so I ended up getting an arnold palmer. However, when they brought the check out, the Pelligrino was still on the tab and we had to ask them to take it off. We both got pasta, the lasagna and the chicken masala, and a caesar salad. The noodles tasted like it was made in house, which was nice. Chicken was not overly breaded and the sauce was light. The salad had too much cheese but I think some people just like that on their salad. I'm interested to try their pizza at some point in the future, assuming we can make it in time before they close ;)

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We ordered and were asked if we were dining in or taking our food to go. We said dining in, but there were no open tables inside (around 12 total) and zero tables available outside. We ended up waiting in the back for a table to open while staff repeatedly walked around looking for our table number, never once asking if the order might be ours. After several minutes, someone finally asked if we were number 11. We were. Once seated, the decor was cute, but service was mediocre at best. The food was the biggest disappointment. It had been a while since we last visited, and it's definitely not the same. The rice was bland and flavorless, and the gyro meat tasted like frozen, reheated product -- very dry, with the main flavor being salt. Instead of the fresh-carved gyro meat you typically see on a vertical rotisserie at most Greek restaurants, the kitchen area was closed off, so there was no visible preparation or carving station. For nearly $50, the experience simply did not match the price. Between the disorganized service and underwhelming food, we won't be back. Next time, we'll stick to supporting East Valley Greek spots that offer better quality and value. I want to preface, this place used to be good. Not sure of ownership changed, but save yourself a trip and find something better and more affordable

We've spent a lot here over the years and have always supported and recommended this location. That's why my son's recent experience was so disappointing. He stopped in to get some work done, something he's done many times during slow hours. Sometimes he buys something, sometimes he doesn't, and it has never been an issue. This has always been a welcoming place. This time, a staff member told him he couldn't sit and work unless he purchased something. What made it worse was the explanation: a table of eight older gentlemen "didn't like" that he was sitting there working, and that was the reason he needed to leave or buy something. It wasn't busy, it wasn't about space, and it wasn't about a policy. It was simply another group of customers not liking his presence, and the staff acting on that. After years of loyalty, that was incredibly disappointing. If there's a new policy, that's fine, just communicate it clearly and apply it consistently. Asking a long‑time customer to leave because another table "didn't like" them is not acceptable. This experience genuinely made us rethink continuing to support this location.

Updating My Previous Review…read more I'm incredibly disappointed to be updating my review because my previous visits here had been wonderful. This was my 4th visit, and I've recommended Zeta's Grill to others because they had always done such a great job accommodating my severe dairy allergy. Unfortunately, tonight was completely different. Food & Service Almost immediately I noticed things weren't the same. I even politely asked our waiter if the owners had changed because the food and service felt so different from my previous visits. I ordered my usual dinner platter, but: * The lamb came out plain with no onions or bell peppers, even though the menu photo shows both. * The baba ghanoush was missing the pomegranate seeds. * The hummus was much less seasoned than before. * My salad arrived covered in feta cheese despite my dairy allergy. * My grape leaves appetizer never came until I reminded them. * I never received the pita bread that normally comes with the meal and had to ask. * Halfway through dinner they remembered I had ordered saffron rice for the table. It felt like our table kept being forgotten all evening. Food Allergy I have a life-threatening dairy allergy, and I mentioned it multiple times while ordering because previous visits had always been handled so carefully. As we were leaving, my throat began swelling and my ears plugged up. I immediately asked if anything I had eaten contained dairy, including the pita bread. Our waiter went to ask the kitchen. The cook appeared visibly irritated about being questioned, retrieved the pita packaging, and read the ingredients aloud. The second ingredient was whey. By then I had already eaten about half the pita. I had to sit down by the register and use my EpiPen before I could leave. Our Waiter I want to give credit where it's due. Our waiter seemed genuinely concerned and apologized once he realized what had happened. He told me I wouldn't have to pay for my meal. I chose to pay anyway because I didn't feel this was his fault. My frustration is with the kitchen and management, not with him. Other Issues My friends were told their meals included one side, including Greek fries, but were later charged a $4 upcharge. Another friend paid $8 for only two pieces of baklava. When she politely questioned it, the employee became dismissive and insisted only the assorted version came with a full container. After we left, we checked the restaurant's own menu, which lists the assorted baklava for $7.95 for the full container, making the explanation even more confusing. Final Thoughts I brought three friends because I wanted to share one of my favorite restaurants with them. Instead, they watched me have an allergic reaction serious enough to require my EpiPen in the parking lot. I've always spoken highly of Zeta's Grill, which makes this even harder to write. I sincerely hope management reviews their allergy procedures. A food allergy isn't a preference--it can become a life-threatening emergency in minutes.

We actually followed the owners here after frequenting their previous coffee shop, En Route. When they opened New Penny, supporting them was an easy decision. The café is thoughtfully divided into two distinct spaces: a family-friendly dining area and a lounge-style bar area geared more toward adults. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are house-made dishes, local merchandise, a shaded patio, and plenty of charm throughout. My wife's favorites are the Breakfast Totchos and the Acai Bowl. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff have created a space that feels inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the community. Support local businesses.
