Great service, very clean inside, staff is so friendly and the food is fresh and good.

If you're looking for a place that truly lives up to the idea of farm-fresh comfort food, Farmer Boys is a standout. From the moment you walk in, there's a welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home--something that's only enhanced by their genuinely friendly and attentive customer service. The food itself is where they really shine. Their fried onion rings are absolutely irresistible--crispy on the outside with a perfectly tender, sweet onion center. The fried zucchini is just as impressive, if not more so. The pieces are generously cut--huge, satisfying, and cooked to golden perfection without feeling overly heavy. Each bite has that ideal crunch, followed by a soft, flavorful interior that keeps you coming back for more. Their hamburgers are another highlight. You can truly taste the freshness in every bite. The ingredients feel high quality, and the patties are cooked in a way that avoids that overly greasy texture you often find elsewhere. Instead, you get a clean, juicy flavor that lets the beef and toppings speak for themselves. What really ties the whole experience together is the service. The staff go out of their way to create a warm, welcoming environment, making you feel less like a customer and more like a guest in their home. That level of hospitality, paired with consistently delicious food, makes this spot one you'll want to return to again and again.

Nothing "big" about the "Big Cheese"

I'm trying to cool my jets so I'm not "angreviewing" (reviewing while angry) but I feel totally ripped off by my experience here. I brought my nephew with me and we ordered two combos @ drive thru. I ordered a cheeseburger combo with onion rings and a small drink; he: the California avacado burger combo. Thirty bucks. I'm not joking. My burger patty was skinnier than a McDonalds regular burger patty. The bun was cold and dry. I took off the huge hunk of iceberg lettuce. The onion rings were like cardboard. My nephew's burger was more substantial, but everything else was not worth $30. I honestly do not understand any of the positive reviews for this establishment. Our food was ready by the time we got around to the payment window so it was not cooked to order. I cannot recommend.

I went here to kill a little time waiting for Kohl's to open. It was clean from what could see and there were folks inside and in the drive thru but they weren't being slammed. I wanted something for breakfast but nothing huge and I saw this mini cakes skillet and it seemed perfect. It was the perfect portion size I was looking for. It filled me up without making me overly full. The mini pancakes were just ok could've used some butter which I had asked for when they brought the food to my table but never came back with the butter, so I did without, the bacon was cooked well the eggs were bland as heck but I added salt and pepper and some hot sauce. When I was there it wasn't too busy but I was ignored for almost 10 minutes before someone asked if I had been helped. There was one person at the register helping someone else by making their drinks and he saw me but didn't say I'll be right with you or ask someone else to help me. The drive thru person saw me and didn't say anything to anyone. I was about to leave but finally another person came around and asked if I needed help. The breakfast was just ok. Nothing spectacular and even though the service I received that day wasn't up to par I'd like to return and try the burgers and sides. I hear they're pretty good. Maybe when I return I'll have a better experience and not be ignored. If so I'll update my rating.

Great place for lunch the lines we're short and the food was good! There's a good choice of food for anyone and breakfast is served all day

Love FB's in CA so it was nice that we were able to stop by this FB while making some technical sales calls nearby. My colleague has been here many times and when he asked if it was OK if we had lunch here, I was like hell yeah. They happen to be having a lunch special with a Cobb salad and a drink so I was all over that. It was so good. was stuffed after getting to half the salad. Unfortunately I couldn't take it home because I will be going to dinner and then off to my hotel. This place is clean; typical. Including the restrooms.

Great service yummy zucchini but I was a little disappointed in the onion rings. No flavor.

I've been eating Farmer Boys since the early 90's in Ontario, California and was super excited they made their way to AZ. The inside was very clean and the staff was super friendly. We ordered the 1/4 Parmesan Crusted Sourdough Burger, Onion Rings, Zucchini and Strawberry Shakes. Didn't ask for ranch but they read my mind because they have the best ranch!! Everything was sooooo good and fresh! Farmer Boys has the best everything! Be prepared to wait because this is not to be confused with fast food. This is fresh food which takes time to craft. Before you leave, don't forget to ring the bell to show your gratitude! We'd definitely be back!

The decor is a bit dark, but chic & colorful. Our server, Esmerelda, was fantastic: funny, attentive, polite. There was a guy there who seemed to be the Jack of all trades. He brought us our food, I saw him behind the bar, and even bussing tables. He, too, was friendly & smiley. Cocktails: they had a great selection but we went with plain ol' Cokes. That's okay, we'll partake of their boozy drinks when we visit again. Food: parmesan truffle fries were aah-mazing. I even told Esmerelda they should add a pizza with the garlic aioli. The buffalo mozzarella had a bit of a kick to the sauce; we could have used more toasted bread to dip into it. We ordered the heaven and bianca pizzas. The crust was thinner than normal, which I was happy about, and the flavors of both were delicious. Dessert: despite not finishing the appetizers & pizza (no worries, we thoroughly enjoyed the leftovers!), we opted for a gelato flight. It was divine, and hefty samples. You wouldn't think 4 oz was much, but of gelato, it was plenty. We selected chocolate, strawberry, salted caramel, and mango. If you haven't tried Roma 23, I highly recommend it. Even if you don't live close by, it is worth the drive.

When we did manage to get in, we ordered a glass of pinot noir and Pelligrino to drink. The waitress brought out a glass of white wine and insisted this was their pinot noir... even the bartender confirmed. So the staff is NOT wine savvy, I wouldn't trust their recommendations on pairings here either. They didn't have any Pelligrino left, so I ended up getting an arnold palmer. However, when they brought the check out, the Pelligrino was still on the tab and we had to ask them to take it off. We both got pasta, the lasagna and the chicken masala, and a caesar salad. The noodles tasted like it was made in house, which was nice. Chicken was not overly breaded and the sauce was light. The salad had too much cheese but I think some people just like that on their salad. I'm interested to try their pizza at some point in the future, assuming we can make it in time before they close ;)

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We ordered and were asked if we were dining in or taking our food to go. We said dining in, but there were no open tables inside (around 12 total) and zero tables available outside. We ended up waiting in the back for a table to open while staff repeatedly walked around looking for our table number, never once asking if the order might be ours. After several minutes, someone finally asked if we were number 11. We were. Once seated, the decor was cute, but service was mediocre at best. The food was the biggest disappointment. It had been a while since we last visited, and it's definitely not the same. The rice was bland and flavorless, and the gyro meat tasted like frozen, reheated product -- very dry, with the main flavor being salt. Instead of the fresh-carved gyro meat you typically see on a vertical rotisserie at most Greek restaurants, the kitchen area was closed off, so there was no visible preparation or carving station. For nearly $50, the experience simply did not match the price. Between the disorganized service and underwhelming food, we won't be back. Next time, we'll stick to supporting East Valley Greek spots that offer better quality and value. I want to preface, this place used to be good. Not sure of ownership changed, but save yourself a trip and find something better and more affordable

We've spent a lot here over the years and have always supported and recommended this location. That's why my son's recent experience was so disappointing. He stopped in to get some work done, something he's done many times during slow hours. Sometimes he buys something, sometimes he doesn't, and it has never been an issue. This has always been a welcoming place. This time, a staff member told him he couldn't sit and work unless he purchased something. What made it worse was the explanation: a table of eight older gentlemen "didn't like" that he was sitting there working, and that was the reason he needed to leave or buy something. It wasn't busy, it wasn't about space, and it wasn't about a policy. It was simply another group of customers not liking his presence, and the staff acting on that. After years of loyalty, that was incredibly disappointing. If there's a new policy, that's fine, just communicate it clearly and apply it consistently. Asking a long‑time customer to leave because another table "didn't like" them is not acceptable. This experience genuinely made us rethink continuing to support this location.

Updating My Previous Review…read more I'm incredibly disappointed to be updating my review because my previous visits here had been wonderful. This was my 4th visit, and I've recommended Zeta's Grill to others because they had always done such a great job accommodating my severe dairy allergy. Unfortunately, tonight was completely different. Food & Service Almost immediately I noticed things weren't the same. I even politely asked our waiter if the owners had changed because the food and service felt so different from my previous visits. I ordered my usual dinner platter, but: * The lamb came out plain with no onions or bell peppers, even though the menu photo shows both. * The baba ghanoush was missing the pomegranate seeds. * The hummus was much less seasoned than before. * My salad arrived covered in feta cheese despite my dairy allergy. * My grape leaves appetizer never came until I reminded them. * I never received the pita bread that normally comes with the meal and had to ask. * Halfway through dinner they remembered I had ordered saffron rice for the table. It felt like our table kept being forgotten all evening. Food Allergy I have a life-threatening dairy allergy, and I mentioned it multiple times while ordering because previous visits had always been handled so carefully. As we were leaving, my throat began swelling and my ears plugged up. I immediately asked if anything I had eaten contained dairy, including the pita bread. Our waiter went to ask the kitchen. The cook appeared visibly irritated about being questioned, retrieved the pita packaging, and read the ingredients aloud. The second ingredient was whey. By then I had already eaten about half the pita. I had to sit down by the register and use my EpiPen before I could leave. Our Waiter I want to give credit where it's due. Our waiter seemed genuinely concerned and apologized once he realized what had happened. He told me I wouldn't have to pay for my meal. I chose to pay anyway because I didn't feel this was his fault. My frustration is with the kitchen and management, not with him. Other Issues My friends were told their meals included one side, including Greek fries, but were later charged a $4 upcharge. Another friend paid $8 for only two pieces of baklava. When she politely questioned it, the employee became dismissive and insisted only the assorted version came with a full container. After we left, we checked the restaurant's own menu, which lists the assorted baklava for $7.95 for the full container, making the explanation even more confusing. Final Thoughts I brought three friends because I wanted to share one of my favorite restaurants with them. Instead, they watched me have an allergic reaction serious enough to require my EpiPen in the parking lot. I've always spoken highly of Zeta's Grill, which makes this even harder to write. I sincerely hope management reviews their allergy procedures. A food allergy isn't a preference--it can become a life-threatening emergency in minutes.

We actually followed the owners here after frequenting their previous coffee shop, En Route. When they opened New Penny, supporting them was an easy decision. The café is thoughtfully divided into two distinct spaces: a family-friendly dining area and a lounge-style bar area geared more toward adults. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are house-made dishes, local merchandise, a shaded patio, and plenty of charm throughout. My wife's favorites are the Breakfast Totchos and the Acai Bowl. Personally, I am also a loyal Breakfast Totchos fan. As for drinks, the Copper Coin and the legendary Cowboy Latte are both worth ordering. What truly sets New Penny apart, however, is the people. The owners and staff have created a space that feels inclusive, welcoming, and genuinely connected to the community. Support local businesses. Better yet, support local businesses that are doing things the right way. Get to know the owners. Get to know the staff. Places like New Penny don't just serve food and coffee--they create gathering places.
