I want to LOVE Cafe Zupas... but each time I go, I'm just not fully satisfied with the value. It's pricey... and I don't feel like the quality meets value. The chicken in my salad I've gotten funky bits before, so now I avoid ordering anything with chicken. I really do like the beverage options though. And the strawberries are delish... But the cost for the actual dessert strawberries are

Food is decent. Usually looks similar to the picture online which is a plus. I tried the hot honey bowl, it was good but not much chicken on it. My toddler loves their kid grill cheese with turkey. The chocolate covered strawberries are always a great addition. Cafe zupa is consistent. Service is usually good and friendly. The restaurant always seems clean. If you're looking for a quick decent bite to eat this is a good spot.

What a difference a day makes. So disappointing how my last few visits have been getting bad. I really really used to love this place along with the cleanliness and service. Tables and floors are dirty. I asked for napkins and she literally counts out 3 napkins cause we were 3 people. Seriously. How about refilling the dispenser. Bathroom dirty.Toilet paper rolls on top of toilet and dispenser empty. Where is the manager? So sad cause I really like the food served here. This place is screaming for management to do its job. The gentleman and soup girl were very friendly and eager to help and make my salad as asked. Oh and the avocados were hard.

Enriching food, friendly staff, and wholesome environment! My cousin and I ended up at Café Zupas after not being able to find our original destination, and we're so glad we did! They have a little bit of everything, but the composition of every plate they serve us is fresh and healthy ingredients. I got the nourish bowl and it was fantastic. Was able to try a few of the soups that were delicious as well. And to top it off, a chocolate covered strawberry!

Enjoyed a hearty and great lunch at Zupas today. The selections of sandwiches, salads and soups is top notch! Great service and crafty skilled staff dish out yummy favorites. We had the choose 2 combo and it was hard to pick just 2 so I had to add a soup as well. My choice was the ham, bacon tomato sandwich that is served toasted with a delicious spread of honey mustard and cheese. I then had to go with my favorite salad which is the glazed chipotle. I think the cherry tomatoes give it a nice balance and contrast with the sweet and semi spicy dressing. Then I had to get the hearty lobster bisque soup that come with the oyster crackers. They give you a dinner roll and of course can't forget the chocolate dipped strawberry to finish the meal. To drink I really enjoyed the strawberry mocktail. My wife had the turkey bacon sandwich & mushroom potato soup. The kiddo chose the chicken strips. Overall a solid lunch today and really enjoyed the food. My only suggestion would be that the staff clean the glass door on the front entrance as it looked like a bunch of peeps with dirty food hands had been opening and closing it. Not just finger prints but clearly some people don't know how to wash food off their hands so had to say something about it.

So I have not been back to Cafe Zupas since my last review. I honestly couldn't even remember what I had even thought about the food. 8 years later according to my last yelp and let me say this, it was TERRIBLE! We literally told the girl haven't been here we have some questions, we were kind of rushed I get it to a point, because at the end of the day customer service should be a priority. The line again was chaos, people in front of us were getting the their food mixed up with others in line, the restroom was beyond words disgusting!!! No salt no pepper we actually didn't even get our food we strait walked out. Never again!

avacados

My husband is deathly allergic to avacados, when we ordered delivery we specified NO AVACADOS, you can guess what they put in my husbands sandwich...avacados, clearly people don't know how to read orders...never coming back

Nourish Bowl

I LOOOVE me some bowls! Especially when it's made with healthy ingredients! I am in town for work and I ordered a Norish Bowl via Uber eats. This bowl consisted of everything I'd ever ask for in a bowl!! Protein, leafy greens, veggies and carb - Very well balanced and super filling!! They also have variety of salads and soups. I will probably order from them again tomorrow!!!!!!

I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt like I needed to share my experience today. The bathroom was absolutely filthy, and after mentioning it to a few staff members, nothing was done about it. It left a really bad impression. The tables were dirty, and the food on the line looked very unappetizing different items were mixed together in trays where they clearly didn't belong. It just felt careless and unhygienic overall. This place really needs better attention to cleanliness and possibly a change in management. I hope they take this seriously because it could be a great spot with the right leadership.

Nuts about berries salad, grilled cheese, soup

We come to Zupas when we feel like having a salad and sandwich option . I've loved 'nuts about berries' salad for years now, a salad I recommend every time. I think it's the dressing.. it's so freaking good! I miss their tofu avocado sandwich but the grilled cheese hits every time. There's pesto in the inside. They recently added power bowls to their menu and I'm eager to try it one day :). On the weekends it could get really busy but today it was quiet. It was an hour until closing and our favorite juice we get wasn't as good as usual. It was at the end of the jug to be fair. The restaurant runs cold but there's always a place to sit. Overall, I love the food each time!

Courtney R.

Dining in isn't an option because every single table is dirty and has stacked plates of dirty dishes. I wish there was a different location closer to me because I really enjoy Zupas but this location is a mess

My boyfriend and I split the Garlic Pesto Turkey sandwich, and I can honestly say it was the best sourdough sandwich I've ever had. The bread is everything you want from fresh sourdough soft on the inside, just the right chew, and that perfect tang. The turkey was super flavorful, and the pesto and sauces were next level. Every bite felt so well balanced rich, fresh, and totally satisfying. We also grabbed a white macadamia cookie, and it was the cherry on top. Soft, buttery, and perfectly sweet seriously one of the best cookies I've had in a while. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was incredible. The girls working were so friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome. The space is small but super cute and cozy clean, inviting, and great for a casual meal. I really wish I lived closer because I'd be here all the time (probably too often that bread is dangerously good ). If you're nearby or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is a gem. Highly recommend!

It was both gorgeous and delicious!!! Nestled in an Avondale strip mall, this cozy little Japanese place serves up a deep menu of over 60 different sushi rolls, five different kinds of ramen, as well as staple Japanese and Korean entrees like Teriyaki, Bulgogi, and Katsu bowls. The restaurant is pristine: everything in the front of the house was clean and the decor was a balance of both modern and traditional Japanese. Their lunch rush was steady; the dining room was well occupied shortly after opening. And the service was attentive and genuine! This is, hands down, one of the best sushi spots in the area! I will be back!

Unfortunately, I have to change my review. We've been coming here since Sushi Love first opened,…read moreand in the beginning this place was on top of things, the servers were friendly and attentive, and while the kitchen could be a little slow at times, it was never anywhere near as bad as what we experienced today. Here's the timeline from when we arrived to when we finally received everything: 12:10 - Seated 12:20 - Finally able to order drinks and food 12:27 - Received my single sushi roll 12:54 - Guest received his entree 1:04 - Just received our gyoza appetizer It took over 10 minutes after being seated before the waitress even got us water. I was trying to look up other restaurants in the area because we were about to leave. What made this even more confusing was that it was a Sunday right after opening, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Because the appetizer took so long, I ended up splitting my single sushi roll with my guest so he wouldn't have to sit there hungry while waiting on his food. Even then, it still took over 30 minutes for his entree to arrive, which was ridiculous considering it was just one dish. The most frustrating part was waiting nearly 45 minutes for a single appetizer order of gyoza. We were honestly close to leaving before it ever arrived, and I would have left still hungry. If the appetizer had come out in a reasonable amount of time, I could have actually enjoyed the roll I came there for in its entirety instead of having to split it just so we could get by while waiting. The pacing of the food also made no sense. Appetizers should come out before entrees, not after everything else. Instead, one person was eating while the other sat there waiting, which made the entire experience awkward and frustrating. If the waitress paced things correctly it would have made a huge difference and likely helped prevent the kitchen from getting backed up. On top of that our waitress never apologized for the delays or acknowledged the excessive wait times, not even after we waited over 10 minutes just to get water. She did repeatedly asked if we "needed anything else" while we were still waiting on food. Like, yes, we needed the food we already ordered? Overall, the experience felt extremely disorganized and uncaring from both the service staff and the kitchen. What's especially disappointing is that this wasn't our first bad experience here. This is now the second visit in a row where we've dealt with extremely slow service and a noticeable lack of attentiveness (last time we were there they forgot some food, not only ours but also a table next to us). This place used to be good, which makes the decline even more frustrating, the kitchen needs an overhaul or something. Sushi is good and not as slow but ordering anything from the kitchen or getting drinks is like pulling teeth to get. Sushi Love isn't a huge restaurant, so it's hard to understand how things have become this disorganized. We gave the restaurant another chance hoping things would improve, but this was by far the worst experience we've had here.
