I picked up subs to take home...they were pretty good. I ordered a steak & cheese on wheat and hubby ordered a meatball on wheat. The wheat roll is really soft and flavorful, as were the subs. We ordered online, and everything was exactly as we ordered. Here's the reason for the 3 stars, as opposed to 4 or 5. Hubby's sub was chock full to the brim with meatballs and cheese. My sub, where it was good, was much less full. I mean, when I looked at it after opening the package, I thought it was just an empty roll, until I peeked inside. The meat didn't even touch the edges of the roll...it could've all been on one half, then it would have felt full. Also, the bag for takeout is like a grocery bag. I also had a large drink to carry. Why aren't there handles on the bag? It would make things so much easier to carry. I know I'm being picky, but it sort of surprised me...that's all. Here's a bit of backstory... I never use to go to this location when they first opened up years ago because they always got my order wrong or something tasted weird. I literally use to travel all the way to the arrowhead location to satisfy my firehouse sub craving. I figured I would try them again to see if they have improved. I am impressed. I used to go here quite often. That all ended about a month ago when I went in there for lunch. The food was good as I expected. But their prices are ridiculously high. I ordered the small sandwich and also added chips and a drink. The total for that was almost $12. They have no lunch specialS at all. To add chips and a drink to a sandwich is an increase of $3.10.
