I have had Daves Hot Chicken once before when they first opened in Laveen and I thought it was…read moregood, but I am not a huge chicken sandwich fan. I never got the allure or cult status of places like Chik Fil A, Popeyes, or Raising Canes. Canes sauce is good but it kinda overwhelms the ok chicken. What I do like about Daves is that it is actually Hot chicken. Their reaper sauce which deserves a receipt signed waiver is crazy hot. One of my kids got it and he said "its ok, not super hot" cause he is nuts and doesn't recognize you can't eat lava which would be the only hotter option. He also practically drinks Da Bomb from Hot Ones and that is just Cray Cray. I opted for the Extra Hot on my sandwitch endeavor and did the same for a the Chicken bites which was $8 for a 10 Piece with bread, pickles and sauce. Not to shabby for the quality of the food. The Daves sauce is great and their ranch is so so, something about packaged ranch is never great compared to a pub ho made ranch. The chicken is crispy when fresh and has a slight sweet flavor with some good heat that adds up the more you eat. I will regret it later. The pickles are crisp and tangy and add a good means to cut the fat, especially when added to the bread with a chicken bit dipped in Daves sauce. The Service has been great both times an they really make it feel like more of a sit down experience than brushing you off as some fast foodie. I really like the way they decorate the building with some interesting art and the inside carries that over with an inviting seating area for great fast food ambiance if you are going to eat in, which I likely wont do as it is generally busy and close quarters for my claustraphobic brain. I would recommend the reaper sauce if you want an adventure as it is tasty but deadly . I dont like fast food in general as I get older, but this is a great option to feed some fried hot chicken craving even if you have to deal with some self loathing on the toilet later.

Fast food? Maybe not quite as fast as expected…read more I went through the drive-thru around 4:00 PM on a Wednesday, and there was one car in front of me. I ordered the new large popcorn chicken and then waited... and waited... and waited a little more. It took roughly 15 minutes before the car in front of me got their order, which seemed like quite a long time for what appeared to be just one bag with one food container inside. I'm not sure what took so long, but I figured maybe they were having a busy moment. It wasn't in the dining room from what I could see. When I got my "large" popcorn chicken, I was a little surprised by the size of the container and not in a good way. After opening it, I also noticed that more than a third of it was basically fried batter rather than chicken. For $8.99, I was hoping for a little more chicken and less pieces of breading. The popcorn chicken itself was decent, but between the wait and the portion, it just wasn't quite what I expected.

This location had a drive thru, which is convenient. I mostly enjoyed the food, I found the steak a bit better than the chicken. There was something in the sauce that was a tiny bit off-putting, but I still enjoyed it. Pretty decent value for portions, the bowl was average sized but had plenty of steak & chicken. I'd return here.

The last time I came here for my lunch, around 1:30 , it was dead and 2 people eating their meal and it took long also. Sure, I've enjoyed my Waba bowl over the years, but this time, it was Meh. The tofu was semi cooked, not enough Waba sauce . Not enough vegetables even when you ask for more . I don't mind paying extra but at least try to put some extra in that bowl please. Even the pick up people asked for more Waba sauce and was told they ran out. Hmm. I deleted the Waba app and not coming back. Zero stars.

"THIS IS THE SECOND TIME!!!"…read more I always ordered the same thing . I get a barbecue ranch salad And I replace the cheese with extra avocado because it is a prime ingredient . Every time I replace the cheese for avocado, I don't get charged (and I spoke to management about this just to make sure this is something they can actually do and they said yes ) but this is the second time that they charge me for extra avocado. On previous occasions like I've spoken to them and I'm like hey if I replace an ingredient, what can I replace it for and they told me if you replace cheese you can replace it for a premium ingredient, which is avocado, if you replaced tortilla strips you can replace tortilla strips for a vegetable (cucumber) because tortilla strips is not a premium ingredient. I am very disappointed . They need to repeat the order back to us and make it clear if they are charging for extra ingredients. They did not give me the correct order. Maybe they couldn't hear me in the intercom.

Unfortunately, this visit was a bit of a mixed bag. The orange chicken and pork egg roll were the misses for me. Both lacked the flavor I was hoping for, and the orange chicken especially felt like it needed a little more seasoning and that sweet, tangy punch that makes it so craveable. The egg roll was also pretty underwhelming. The fried rice and egg drop soup were definitely the highlights! The fried rice had a nice savory flavor and paired well with the meal, while the egg drop soup was warm, comforting, and hit the spot. Overall, I appreciate the quick takeout service, but this particular order was a little hit-or-miss. I'd come back and give them another try, especially for the fried rice and soup, but I'd probably skip the orange chicken and egg roll next time.

The only thing negative I have to say about the In-N-Out chain is to how they prepare their Animal style fries... fresh potatoes fried, but then microwaved to melt the cheese is the reason why the potatoes immediately lose their crunch. So do yourself a favor and order normal fries and just get an extra side of spread because it's not worth it to lose out on the quality french fry.
