The service at this location happens to be the worst. They don't properly train their staff or honor their service corrections. I spent over $75 on a family dinner was missing part of it and the other portion was made incorrectly. I called the location and spoke to an employee and was told that they could remake it. I told them I would be by at another time so as not to let the rest of the meal get soggy. I went back in this evening and ordered more items and asked to have the original issue corrected. I had the original receipt along with the name of the employee. They refused to make good on the issue after I was told they would correct it. Worst customer service experience ever. The manager Brandon was no help. Blamed his employees for giving out false information. Sounds to me like Management needs to do a better job of training the employees. read more

Whata burger is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. When this location opened, it was all nice and dandy but has since gone downhill. I stopped for fries but actually wound up ordering the Nashville hot wings as well. Wings were good. The fries were OLD and STALE. Mind you, I sat waiting for about 10 minutes before receiving my order. You would think the fries were fresh. I was also given a chicken sandwich that I didn't order. I didn't eat it. It looked like it had been sitting for a bit and they just tossed it in my bag. The young man at the window was nice.I hope quality of the food gets back to what it was. The service here is usually great. People are usually pleasant and polite. However, this morning we had the unfortunate luck to be greeted by the "manager" Iren. He was rude.. his tone was snarky and the rolling of the eyes when asking questions was quite ridiculous. If this is the management they have hired here recently I expect this location to be a crap show in the short future. Sad, because it's nice to see Laveen grow but we want positive changes.. Let's do better. I hope your day gets better Mr. Iren because you can't ruin my positive outlook for today. Update: upon telling Mr. Iren his nasty attitude was not appreciated and I'm sorry he's having a bad day but I'm not a part of that factor... he first rolled his eyes and walked off to make or bag the order. When he returned he said he was "sorry and he put an extra hash brown in my bag". I told Mr.Iren to have a great day. Diners be warned- at this location specifically there's an elderly person that is a regular here and this person visits in nothing but a polo shirt, flip flops, and a speedo. Yes, a speedo. That was entertaining and also really awkward when I was dining with friends. Anyway, there was some trash in thee drive thru, but nothing that would ruin the experience. The interior looked new and also felt that way. Service was good and the food at this specific spot was really good as well! Kudos to this place, despite their one regular. So I've been here several times and I haven't wrote a review, but the last time I was here the experience was not good, and we still came back because we know of off days. This time we came in and ordered 2 chicken strip meals, double meat whataburger meal. The drink station was so bad, no sweet tea or unsweetened tea, complete mess. I get my order and was only given 2 chicken strips instead of 3, and the strips I did get were more like nuggets. Whataburger is spot and this one is closer to home so I really hope they can get it together. Second time at this location and the service and food still didn't live up to what it should have been. I came from the location on 19th Ave because after waited in long so long, they didn't have any syrup or even begin to make my food. I get to this location and decide to go in instead of going to the drive-through due to my previous experience and I was the only one to order. I ordered pancakes and wait about 30 minutes get the food then there's no syrup or butter in the bag, nor are there any utensils. I turn around, ask for all of the above And the cashier must have been new because she didn't know where anything was so the manager directed her to the syrup, and I never saw her again. I ended up leaving for syrup at home since I live a mile away, and the pancakes are flaky like they are not done. I will not try this location again. I've been through the drive thru a few times and I haven't had any issues. Thought I'd leave a review because the workers are super nice no matter what time of day you go. Food is always hot, which is probably why the wait time is a little longer than other places. I work night shift so I don't have a lot of options in Laveen. Most times I have been, the manager is working the window. The workers are always apologetic about the wait, but polite and quick at the window. Thanks for making me burgers at 6 am :) read more

Ordered a burger I've gotten before. This time it was terrible compared to past experience. When I opened it at home the tomatoes consisted of the outer layer of skin with the middle missing, the lettuce was wilted and the buns were smushed & soggy. Awful. Don't go if you value your gas and time. Sat in the drive thru for a combined total of 40ish minutes. First go through sat and waited for my food. I saw another lady angrily knocking on the drive thru window because they got her order wrong too. But i digress. I got my food pulled out of the line checked my food and it was wrong. I even got the wrong receipt. Pulled back around it took 5 minutes for them to even jump on the speaker. I tell her my order is wrong and the receipt isn't even mine. They say they will fix and to come inside to not wait in the drive thru line. I cant get down plus i was blocked in and the line wasn't moving. so i tell them ill wait. Like how is it considered FAST food when I'm sitting at the window for anyone to take my order for 10 minutes than it's another 10-15 for 3 things. Ordered off the mobile app twice in the last few weeks and both times they've messed up the order, massively. Their service is terrible as well. My 2nd order, I went on superbowl, 2/12, it was nearly empty, really no reason to mess up the order. It took almost 40min in the drive thru for us to get our food, they forgot 2 of our sandwiches, the dr. Pepper had no syrup so it just tasted like soda water. By the time we got the food we were waiting for, everything else was cold and gross. I called after we got home and asked to speak with a manager and heard a bunch of giggling in the background. When I talked to the manager he was extremely rude and told me I can come back and they'll remake it, I said it was 1am last thing I want to do is go all the way back, I just wanted to inform him of the experience. I said we were locals in Laveen, literally live across the street and this was a terrible experience and he hung up on me. I tried to call back and my calls were ignored. Whataburger is a terrible restaurant to begin with, but to wait 40min for $30 worth of cold food, and then be treated like that by the person in charge has absolutely insured we will NEVER visit a whataburger again. Kids run this place! I ordered a chocolate shake and I got a vanilla one. It's a white shake with no hint of chocolate in it whatsoever. I ask Them to put more chocolate in it and they take the cup back inside and start laughing inside the window. He then comes back and says it is chocolate, it just doesn't look like it but it will taste like it. Wtf kind of stuff is that?! Worst customer service and unprofessional behavior I've ever experienced at a restaurant and from management it's very disheartening. Ordered at drive thru after a long night at work to order food & the guy taking orders didn't greet me but rudely asked "what can I get you" he told me they were out of an item so as I was trying to decide on another option I was asking questions but he was so dismissive and rude . After the exchange, I decided it would be best to eat elsewhere, I asked for the manager and he stated he was the manager he claimed his name was Arturo. It was ask if he was proud of his behavior. He rudely asked me to just leave and he would give me corporates number, I decided that would be best and asked for his name to be written down so I could contact corporate but he refused . I video recorded the incident because I was so taken aback by his behavior. Im never this person I have worked in food before for ages and I have great respect for food workers, but the way this guy treated me and spoke was so rude I had to make an exception. The fact that this Whataburger was just built and already starting off with bad management I'm appalled and will be pushing this all the way to corporate.
